About: I've been around dogs for over 15 years. I'm an animal lover, currently working as an AGM and studying dog training and behaviour at Cambridge institute. I have dealt both with puppies and senior dogs before. I can teach basic commands and understand the basic of a dog behaviour. I'm currently working full time as AGM and studying dog training and behaviour. I'm am free everyday from 3pm - on Tuesday and Wednesday full day available. Upon request and notice, I can be available according to your needs. Unfortunately I am not allowed any pets at home at the moment, but I can stay over to your house. The time I spend with the pet depends on the type and energy level of your dog. I can walk, train, play and soothe the dog according to his/her needs or upon your request

Thank you so much Heather for taking such good care of Rosie. Although I hope she didn’t bark as much at your neighbours as she currently doing to mine. We’ll definitely ask you to look after her again if we have any more big family events.

About: Hi there! Caring for animals has always been part of my life growing up, and I genuinely enjoy spending time with pets and getting to know their unique personalities and quirks. I currently have two big black cats at home, so I’m very used to the day-to-day responsibility and care that comes with looking after pets. I’m patient, and attentive, and I’m happy to follow your pet’s usual routine to help them feel comfortable while you’re away. I also understand how important it is to know your pet is doing well, so I’ll always send regular photo and video updates to keep you connected and give you peace of mind while you’re away. I work full-time in a hybrid role, which allows me to plan pet care around my schedule. During the week I’m available for daily check-ins and visits, and I’m happy to coordinate times in advance to make sure your pet’s routine is maintained. I’m also available for overnight stays or boarding pets at my place. I’m flexible and committed to making sure they’re well looked after. About: My name is Lily. I have been caring for cats in my household since I was a child, I now have 8! Ever since then, I have grown a strong passion for the caring and wellbeing of cats. I am currently a volunteer as a Cat Care Assistant for Cats Protection, a cat homing centre in Harrow, and have been since November 2023 (Almost 3 Years!) where I have gained extensive experience in cat care, providing suitable diets and following routines, providing enrichment and play time for the cats, and monitoring behaviour. I have a Level 2 and Level 3 Qualification in Animal Care, achieving a distinction overall. I am also currently undergoing an Extended Animal Care Foundation Diploma course. I aspire to be a zookeeper and/or a welfare coordinator in the future as I have a passion for looking after animals of all sorts. I would love to spend some of my free time caring for some feline friends. :) Please feel free to pop me a message if you have any enquiries! I have currently just finished my Extended Diploma in Animal Management in college, so I am now free every weekday (and weekends too if available). I am very flexible at the moment, and am happy to do pop-by visits in the day or to stay for a night! I currently own many cats myself, and I am able to provide frequent, suitable meals based off owners’ requests, I can administer medication (however I do not do injections just as yet), I am able to prove enrichment and play/social time, and complete routine cleaning tasks like scooping litter, washing bowls etc. If you have any other pets, please let me know as I am able to look after more than just cats.

About: I have been an animal lover since I was a kid. I have recently got another little cavapoo puppy named Hazel. She is extremely loving and friendly with other dogs! Loves to play a lot, and hence would love to take the doggos to park to play. Also, can easily train your dog to sit and to give a hi5 :) I work from home and it’s only me as my partner is away at work. Hence would definitely enjoy and love some paw company to brighten by day up and help you travel stress free. I can take them play time as have good surroundings to take them for a walk. Can give them timely attention and care that they need.

About: What sets me apart is the amount of time, care, and genuine attention I can give to every pet. Being on maternity leave means I’m home most of the day, so your furry friend will always have supervision, companionship, and plenty of affection rather than being left alone for long periods. I take the time to get to know each pet’s personality, routine, and needs so they feel comfortable and relaxed while in my care. I’m very patient and attentive, which makes me confident caring for puppies learning their routines, senior dogs who need a gentler approach, or pets with special needs. Some things that help owners feel confident choosing me: I follow your pet’s usual routine closely, including feeding, walking, and playtime, to reduce stress. I maintain a safe, clean environment at all times, whether in your home or mine. I provide regular photo and message updates so you can see your pet happy and relaxed throughout their stay. Above all, I treat every pet as if they were my own, ensuring they feel loved, safe, and well cared for at all times. Your pet’s comfort and happiness is my priority, and I strive to build trust with both pets and their owners. I’m currently on maternity leave and spend most of my time at home. This gives me a very flexible schedule and plenty of time to dedicate to caring for pets throughout the day. I’m available for walks, playtime, feeding, and lots of attention, and I can easily adapt to your pet’s usual routine to help them feel comfortable and settled. Because I’m home often, pets in my care won’t be left alone for long periods and will receive plenty of companionship and supervision. I understand how important it is to trust someone with your pet, so I treat every animal as if they were my own. I’m also happy to send regular photo and message updates so you can see how your pet is doing and have peace of mind while you’re away. Spending time with animals is something I genuinely enjoy, and I look forward to welcoming new furry friends and giving them a safe, calm, and caring environment. Your pet’s safety, comfort and happiness will always be my top priority. I will always provide a calm and loving environment where pets can feel relaxed and secure whilst in my care whether they are in their own home or mine. I will take the time to understand each pet’s routine, preferences, and any special requirements so I can keep their day as familiar and stress-free as possible (again, regardless of being in my home or their own). In my home - pets will have a safe, clean space to relax aswell as play. They will always be supervised and given plenty of attention, exercise, and affection throughout the day. In your home - I will respect your space and follow the instructions provided so your pet can stay happy and content within their usual environment. I will stick to their normal feeding, walking, and sleeping routines as much as possible. I’m also happy to provide regular photo and message updates so you can feel reassured and connected while you’re away. My goal is for both you and your pet to feel completely comfortable and confident with the care being provided.

About: I’ve spent seven years caring for my own dog, and I’ve also had three cats and chickens, teaching me the importance of routine, patience, and understanding each pet’s unique personality giving me a well-rounded understanding of different animals. At home pets have always been family, and an essentially part of the household. Personally my French Bulldog Jigz is one of my best friends and I couldn’t imagine my life without her. Over the years, I’ve helped many friends with their pets while they were away, so I’m comfortable with a variety of breeds, personalities, and care needs. As a rugby player, I bring reliability, discipline, and plenty of energy to every visit—I’m active enough to keep up with playful pups, patient with shy cats, and attentive to all the little details that keep pets healthy, happy, and feeling at home. I am currently a uni student with lots of free time to care for and play with your beloved pets. I am especially free during holiday periods as we have breaks away from uni, making me available for house sitting. However, my schedule is extremely malleable making it easy for me to work around you and your prized pets schedule. I’m committed to being a safe and trustworthy presence in both your home and your pet’s routine. I respect every space I enter, keeping things clean, secure, and exactly as you left them. I’m very reliable when it comes to following rules, routines, and any specific requests you have for your pets, ensuring they stay comfortable and cared for just the way you prefer. You can count on me to look after your home and maintain a calm, positive environment while you’re away.

Olena and Bruce took fantastic care of our two small dogs. Their communication was brilliant, and the updates were always fast. It was the first time we'd left our dogs with anyone outside of the family, and it was a great relief to have such reliable and caring people looking after them. We couldn't recommend them highly enough!

About: Dogs have been a big part of my life for over 20 years, and I currently live with our Golden Retriever, Frankie. He's currently living his best life on holiday with his grandparents, so I'm looking forward to spending time with some new four-legged friends (don’t tell him!). I've looked after dogs and cats for friends, as well as pet sitting through Aussie House Sitters while living in Australia. Every pet is different, and I really enjoy getting to know their personalities, learning what makes them feel comfortable and making sure they feel safe, happy and at home while you're away. I'm comfortable giving oral medication and sticking to any routines or training you've already put in place. Animals tend to warm to me quickly, and I love taking the time to get to know what makes each pet unique. Whether that's long walks, games, cuddles or simply keeping them company, I'll follow their lead while making sure their usual routine stays just the way you like it. I'm naturally calm, patient and reliable, and I'll always keep you updated with plenty of photos and messages so you know your pet is happy and in good hands. With a flexible schedule, I'm able to give them the time, attention and care they deserve. I’ve recently returned from travelling and currently have a very flexible schedule. I’m able to easily work around you and your pets routine! I live in a home with a secure, fenced garden and lots of parks and green spaces nearby for walks. Pets are always supervised and kept in a calm, comfortable environment where they can relax and feel at home. I will closely follow their usual routine and make sure everything is safe and consistent, from feeding to walks and any care instructions you provide!

About: Hi there! I’ve taken care of small to medium dogs for years, and as a proud Shiba Inu owner myself, I absolutely love interacting with pets and providing the necessary care they need. Patience is key in my approach, and I’m always happy to tailor updates to owners because I know pets are cherished family members—your dog deserves nothing less! My services include overnight sits, daily dog walking (30-60 minutes of tailored fun like fetch in local parks or gentle neighborhood strolls), feeding, and plenty of playtime or cuddles. Whether it’s energetic zoomies for a young pup or relaxed companionship for a senior, I customize everything to your dog’s breed, age, and personality. My experience comes from hands-on care with my own Shiba Inu (who keeps me on my toes!) and helping friends’ small and medium breeds during holidays and work trips. I’m patient and committed to a safe, loving environment for your flurry family member. I work full-time on weekday but usually from home on Monday and Friday in Hillingdon (near great walking spots), so I’m highly available for mostly weekend but weekdays if schedule allowed! Can’t wait to see your furry family member and keeping them happy, healthy, and tail-wagging! Weekend would be more flexible but weekday would be up for walking or visiting for care. Again happy to tailor what works for the owner. My home has a fenced little garden and around the areas are full of green space for walking/ running. I’ve long lead for “controlled” free roaming too.

About: Hi there! My name is Lily and I'm a marine biology Master’s degree graduate, pursing a second MSc in London. I started walking and pet-sitting for neighborhood dogs in middle school. Following that, I became an animal shelter volunteer dog companion, and for 3 years, I walked, trained, and socialized dogs of every shape, size, and personality. After that, I began walking & sitting dogs professionally for 4 years with local clients. I am responsible, experienced, attentive, and I can't wait to meet your dog! Aside from my experience working with dogs professionally, I've been a dog owner since childhood when my family adopted Chancey, a shy retriever mix. He taught me that every dog has different needs, and it's important to be loving and patient with them all! My current dog who lives in New York with my parents is Lila, a 13-year old Black Lab/Beagle mix who loves attention and snacks :) I am a full-time student but have a lot of online components, so if I am pet-sitting I can spend all my time with your dog! I follow exactly how owners prefer me to care for their dog and will adhere to any routines and structures they need. I am seasoned in creating a trusting and happy relationship between myself, a dog, and their owner. I would never put an animal in danger and prioritize their safety and comfort.

About: I’ve had pets all my life, from the gorgeous Golden Retriever I had as a child with rabbits and gerbils, to the two lovely and well natured Cockapoos I have now. I’ve been pet sitting, house sitting and dog walking for several years now and love to be a comfort to all furry creatures big and small whilst their families are away. I know I would want someone caring and responsible to love and care for my pups so make sure I can do the same for others. I have cared for elderly dogs with special care needs, anxious dogs, stubborn pets, etc. you name it! I work from home full time so I am available for endless walks, check-ins or house sits at pretty much any time that suits you and your needs. I have two cockapoos in my own home that are very good natured and friendly. I also often pet sit in others home and try to match the family’s current schedule so their pets aren’t disrupted too much.

Megan is such a cool person and she completely understood Elune as soon as she entered the house, she has experience with rescues and she bonded with my Elune very quickly, we had no hesitation leaving them to spend the day together. She sent me updates and also treated our home with respect. She also kindly showed up very early in the time interval so we can set off for our event as soon as possible. Megan is also really cool with kids and can create a connection instantly by talking about hobbies and passions. We asked Sam to house sit for us whilst we were away for a couple of days. Sam was easy to work with, flexible and ensured Blue was not just walked but happy. Sam took the time to play tug-of-war and ball with Blue when he wanted to play. The house was clean upon our return and Sam was responsive to messages and sent daily updates! Also of note, Blue is a large German shepherd with a gentle but sometimes cheeky personality, Sam was able to handle him with ease! I highly recommend Sam and I look forward to seeing him again next time I'm away!

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:

  • Post & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
  • Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
  • Rubbish & recycling: Taking bins out on scheduled rubbish collection days.
  • Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes dedicated customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement programme for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Every sitter on Rover must pass an identity verification before they can list their services. An identity verification confirms that the sitter is who they say they are based on their documents.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page .

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Hillingdon choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a key safe or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. On Rover:

  • 91% of sitters can help with special care needs
  • 88% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 98% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest vet. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.

For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorisation form for your regular vet. An authorisation form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.

Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
