I’ve cared for animals of all ages, personalities, and needs, and I love getting to know each pet’s unique quirks. I currently share my home with four cats and one dog, and over the years I’ve also owned three other cats, so managing a multi-pet household is second nature to me. My friends and family know they can always rely on me to look after their pets if need be, and so I have experience with pets other than my own - including a very energetic dachshund puppy! My experience includes caring for senior dogs and cats, including a blind and deaf elderly dog who required extra patience, gentle handling, and a consistent routine. I also have extensive experience with senior and medically fragile cats; I’ve tube-fed my elderly cat and cared for her during a time when she needed extra patience, monitoring, and gentle handling. I’m very comfortable following detailed feeding or medication routines and adapting care to a pet’s specific health needs. I’m comfortable with higher-energy or more challenging pets as well; I have hands-on experience walking and managing an aggressive dog safely and calmly. I’ve raised and trained my own pets since birth, so I’m very comfortable supporting younger pets with structure, positive reinforcement, and plenty of attention. Whether it’s kittens, puppies, adults, or seniors, I’m confident caring for pets at every stage of life. Above all, I have a genuine love for animals, and will care for every pet as if they are my own.

When I’m caring for pets in your home, my priority is to maintain their normal routine so they feel safe, comfortable, and stress-free. I follow all feeding, medication, and care instructions exactly as given, no matter how complex. I take time to get to know each pet’s personality - whether they’re energetic, shy, affectionate, anxious, or more hands-off. I always move at their pace and interact in the way that makes them feel most comfortable. I provide enrichment, playtime, walks, or quiet companionship depending on what each animal needs and enjoys. Your home is treated with the same respect I give my own. I keep food and water areas clean, tidy up any messes, and make sure everything is left just as you expect. I can also send regular updates and photos so you always know how your pets are doing. My goal is to create a calm, safe experience for your pets and give you complete peace of mind while you’re away.

We’ve used Hannah a few times now to look after Caspa and she has been great! We wanted to find someone that Caspa would connect with and we could use regularly, so he has a familiar face. She is aware of his initial anxiety and deals very well with him. She is patient with him and when we return we can see he has been well looked after, thank you Hannah! 🩷
Hannah cares for our 8 year old black labrador retriever and walks her every day. She is reliable and very responsible. Hannah has supported us by walking our dog for years.

Schedule
I’m currently working short periods of 2-3 weeks at a time as an exam invigilator, and this is only during exam / mock exam season. This leaves me with plenty of time and flexibility to care for animals!

- Before I care for your pets, it’s really helpful to know any health or medical needs they have, including medications, supplements, allergies, or special feeding routines. I also like to understand their normal daily schedule - when they usually eat, go out, play, sleep, and any house rules you’d like me to follow. Knowing a bit about their temperament is also important, such as whether they’re shy, anxious, energetic, hands-off, or reactive in certain situations. If there are any behavioral quirks - like not liking to be touched in certain spots, being nervous around other animals, or trying to slip out the door - I appreciate knowing that in advance as well. Lastly, having your vet information, emergency instructions, and any household details (like where supplies are kept or how to use your alarm system) helps me make sure everything runs smoothly.
