“I can't thank Bethan enough for the care she gave my puppy. She was kind, attentive, reassuring and incredibly thoughtful_ keeping me updated throughout the day and leaving my place spotless (I know my little one still has loads of accidents). I came back to the happiest, most settled puppy, which speaks volumes about the bond she built with him. Truly exceptional care!. Thank you Beth”

“Atena came to look after Frida for the second time and it was once again a wonderful experience. She is so warm and caring with her — they spent the evening playing and cuddling, and she kept me updated throughout with photos and videos, which is always so reassuring. Frida absolutely adores her. We will definitely be calling her again! 🐾”

“As always, Nicole took care of our girls - this time foe 2 weeks - and did a wonderful job! Daily pictures and pup-dates are the highlight of our day and we know we don’t have to worry about a thing when she’s staying with them!”
“We had a great experience with Ingryd. She stayed with our cat Mia for a weekend and was so attentive, making sure our home was clean and tidy when we returned. We loved the regular photos and video updates she sent. Thank you, Ingryd, we’ll definitely be booking you again!”

“Second time using Ayesha and will be happy to use her again. She understands the different needs of our 2 dogs(one is old and needs to be given tablets and also requires modified walks). Thanks Ayesha.”

“Roxy accepted a last minute booking and housesat our dog for a day. She connected with our dog immediately and I felt very comfortable with her. She took good care of our little one, sent me photo updates and I came home to a happy and excited dog. The house was left clean and tidy as well. Thanks so much Roxy.”

“As someone who had never had the trust or confidence in anyone to use a dog sitter, opening my home and sharing the precious four-legged member of my family with someone I didn't know well was always going to be a potential challenge. Maria could not have made it easier or more comfortable ! From the very start and throughout she was incredible - she inspired that trust and confidence; she clearly was absolutely professional, but also genuinely caring and concerned for my four-year-old French bulldog Gus’ welfare and happiness whilst also managing regular communication and reassurance whilst I was away. I absolutely could not have been happier or more satisfied with the service she provided and in fact at times it was easy to forget it wasn't a well known friend looking after him. Gus can't wait to see her again. 100% recommendation if you're thinking of doing the same.”

About: I've been surrounded by animals my entire life; cats, dogs, rodents, birds, reptiles, you name it! This means I've developed a huge love for all animals and adore spending time with them! I have some experience with administering medications for dogs and guinea pigs, and also dealing with nervous/anxious dogs. I am now able to offer services full time around my regular clients and my own dog, please do enquire as my schedule changes weekly! I cannot currently provide boarding for cats and dogs from my own home due to space, however I am able to board smaller animals such as rodents. “James was amazing, my dog Toby immediately took to him and they seem to be best friends now. James has a wonderful demeanour, calm and yet in full control, Toby is a large dog and a puppy and not everyone can handle him. I could not have had a better person look after Toby whilst I was away.”

Pet owners share their Rover experiences - Wembley
Maria is such a lovely, kind and caring person. She kept in touch and sent pictures of both our pets who seemed very happy and content in her company. Our house was clean and tidy when we returned too. We'd happily recommend Maria to house sit and would gladly have her sit for us again. Thank you Maria!

Atena came to look after Frida for the second time and it was once again a wonderful experience. She is so warm and caring with her — they spent the evening playing and cuddling, and she kept me updated throughout with photos and videos, which is always so reassuring. Frida absolutely adores her. We will definitely be calling her again! 🐾

Ingryd was great while taking care of Zack for 9 days while we were away. She was prompt and active with updates, responses and photos. She also is a very nice human being which made us really like her throughout the time we were away and we felt Zack was safe. I highly recommend her if anyone’s looking for a great pet sitter while they’re away.

Kendal House sat for us for a full week. It was very reassuring to have someone in the house looking after our dog and cat and getting regular feedback and photos of how relaxed they all were. Kendal is great with the animals and carried out all requests we left while away. Will definitely book again. Brilliant

Alice was wonderful with our pepper! She was incredibly patient, warm and loving with our anxious senior pup. She always kept us updated, and we were never concerned about the safety of our baby. We will definitely be booking with Alice again in the very near future xx

Bethan was great. She was very friendly, responsible, and kept us updated with messages and photos. We felt very comfortable with Bethan from the first time we met her. Our cat and dog loved having Bethan stay over. We can certainly recommend Bethan and look forward to having her care for our animals again. Peter

Ciara was absolutely amazing with my disabled and high-maintenence Pomeranian. She was so patient with numerous strange habits, and even carried him to parks and kept him cool in a heat wave. My dog was so well loved and cared for! She also left my home cleaner than she found it. I would book Ciara again in a heartbeat. I cannot recommend her enough!!!

Roxy was really great looking after our little one and our home while we were away. We really appreciated the daily updates and videos which reassured us that she was doing okay. Our home was kept really clean and tidy, which was great. I’m so glad we’ve connected with Roxy (and Agnes) and look forward to booking with them again. Thank you so much.

Rory was very kind and accommodating. My reactive dog got comfortable really quickly and he took the time to sit with them and make sure they were comfortable before I left. He was able to manage well during walks despite reactivity and leash pulling. I came home to happy and comfy dogs and will definitely book with him again!

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Post & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Rubbish & recycling: Taking bins out on scheduled rubbish collection days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best time to agree on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a 'home cheat sheet' that includes your preferred Wembley walking routes, the location of your favourite pet shop, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes dedicated customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement programme for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover must pass an identity verification before they can list their services. An identity verification confirms that the sitter is who they say they are based on their documents.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page .
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Wembley choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a key safe or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. On Rover:
- 90% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 87% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 98% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest vet. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorisation form for your regular vet. An authorisation form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
