This is my job, it isn’t a side hustle for me. I have Diplomas in both Small Animal Care and Applied Canine Behaviour Management. Certified Groomer. *** RATES *** I do not charge for additional pets, it doesn’t matter to me because I’ll be there anyway! The River system can be a bit of a pain if ai don’t use their defined rates though SO if you have additional pets book them I and then when I receive your request I will modify the rates so that you pay the standard rate for one pet. *** RATES *** Animals have been a constant throughout my life and caring for them has grown from a personal passion into a professional vocation. I deliver a bespoke pet care service built on a simple belief: every animal deserves care tailored to their individual needs, personality and routine. I have experience caring for dogs, cats and small animals of all ages, from energetic youngsters to seniors requiring a slower pace and extra support. I am comfortable administering most routine medications, maintaining established training routines and adapting my approach to suit nervous, anxious or rescue animals. What sets me apart is that I never treat pets as numbers. I do not believe in a one-size-fits-all approach. Every booking begins with understanding what makes your pet feel safe, comfortable and happy. Some animals want adventure and enrichment; others want consistency, quiet company and reassurance. During your pet’s stay or while they are in my care, you can expect regular updates, photographs and honest communication. I know how important trust is when somebody else is caring for a beloved family member. James has been great to organise dog walks with. He did a meet and greet and put me at ease straight away as this is a new routine for my dog. His passion for his job is clear and Rossa gets her lunch time walk which from the photos he sends looks like great fun. Would recommend.
15th - 21st August. What a star! Five stars do not do him justice. He cared for my dogs and cats exceptionally well and they all look in fabulous condition. I’m sure they are going to miss him! Jesus watered my plants and outdoor flowers, everything clean and shiny, in my house. His organisational skills are far better than mine. Thank you so much James, for the thoughtful ‘welcome home’ gifts of bread, milk and fruit. Much appreciated after a long journey home. Would definitely ask him back, if I go away again. (If he’ll have us☺️)!
So thrilled to have met James! He took such amazing care of our puppy and his ‘brothers’ (2 guinea pigs and a leopard gecko)! All were happy, well-fed and a little bit spoiled for a week. Our house was cleaner than when we left it! We would love to have James come back on our next trip away. Highly recommend!
James was great, Reginald was a bit nervous at first but he was patient and let Reginald go at his own pace. Came back home very tired so had clearly had a good time.
James was very attentive, communicative and super kind from the first contact with us. He went above and beyond on every aspect and took very good care of Apollo, gave him lots of love, affection and joy, always giving us photo updates and detailed messages while we were away for a week. Our baby 🐱 came back even more affectionate and we will definitely be very happy when he needs to spend a few days with James again (and of course, with Lychee too!).

This is my job, it’s not a side hustle for me. I work seven days per week. Bookings are a mix of independent and platform. Tell me what you need and I’ll try my best to make it happen. I'm here to help you!

I love being outside and can go for as long a walk as your dog can handle! I will follow your lead, though it is worth noting that my training style doesn’t include treats - if you insist, I will use them.

A typical day
Stimulation is the name of the game, sometimes I think I’m more into chasing balls and frisbees than the dogs! I tend to do around 6 walks per day and each day is slightly different.

- I need to know the language that the dog is used to, as in, the words that the dog knows and responds to - some people say ‘here’ when others say ‘come’ or ‘heel’. Triggers are super important, to be forewarned is to be forearmed. Limitations and capabilities; so I can pitch the exercise just right.
