“Milo took to Cora straight away and he's always so happy to see her! We feel very fortunate to have found someone so caring and dedicated to look after our dog when we are away. Cora really took the time to understand Milo and his routine so we knew we were leaving him in good hands. The regular updates were so lovely to see and our house was very well looked after too. Thank you Cora!”

About: We are a family of four but very loving and caring. We live in Amersham. Due to family commitments happy to cover areas within 2mile radius only. I have more than 5 years of experience though I registered with this app in 2022. I am dog first aid/CPR trained and fully insured with Protectivity in case. I always offer meet and greet to ensure all your requirements have been discussed and you are happy with the services I provide. Due to children still being very young I have decided to mainly offer house visits and occasional house sitting services. We don't have any pets at the moment due to children still being young! My children love feeding the cats and playing with the pets under my supervision and only if agreed with the owner prior booking. During the house visits I'm more than happy to feed them, administer medication, play with your pets, walk them, change their litter, water plants, tidy up if needed and put bins out. Very flexible and open to any of your requirements. During the week can only cover early mornings and evenings. Happy to cover various times on weekends though. Required days could always be agreed in advance. Also accept last minute bookings! Please don't hesitate to ask us any extra times or days you might require as always happy to accommodate your requests. We are happy to accommodate your requirements with enough notice. I do offer house visits in the morning and evenings during the week and anytime on weekends. Don’t hesitate to contact us if you require any additional days or extra care time as we can accommodate it whenever we can. We have a fenced garden and spacious house. However, do not offer boarding at this point of time.
“Tilly is a wonderful dog sitter. She came to meet our doggy before her first visit. Tilly is always on time, keeps us updated on her visits and sends us little photos during her stay. Our dog seems to love Tilly too, and we're so pleased to have Tilly helping us with our doggy .”

“Haylie was amazing with all the animals and left the house as she found it. She came to visit to get to know Poppy before I went away and made sure I was kept updated as there was a heat wave over the weekend. It makes such a difference knowing your pets are safe and happy when you are on holiday.”

“Georgia took very good care of our two dogs and house. She understood the differences in personalities between our two dogs and read them and their needs well. They went for lovely long walks and she sent us nice photos, which we enjoyed receiving while we were away. The house was left spotless and she was reliable and very easy to communicate with. We‘d very much recommend her and we would love to have her stay with the dogs again!”

“Alex was great! She kept me updated throughout and sent lots of pictures, which made me feel at ease while I was at work. She’s really easygoing, and Chaves had a great time with her. I would definitely use her again!”

“Ellen is a wonderful sitter — Chaves has stayed with her more than once and she's coming back again this week, which speaks for itself. She did a meet and greet first, asked all the right questions, and kept me updated the whole time. Easygoing, caring, and reliable. Chaves and I are lucky to have found her!☺️🐶”

“Megan was great looking after Leo who took to her quickly. She was highly communicative and sent lots of pics, and managed the situation brilliantly and in good humour. when she got locked in the bathroom due to a faulty lock. Will definitely ask Megan to sit / walk Leo again.”

“El looked after our cat , staying in our house over 3 nights. We were very pleased with everything El did. We met with her ahead of the stay and she was reliable and easy to contact throughout. Our cat is quite old and from photos, videos and the way she ate all her food, shows the good care El provided. I had told El we had stopped putting down water for our cat as she never drinks it. El did leave a bowl of water down and our cat continued to drink from it after our return. So thank you El for gently showing me I was wrong! El has completed level 2 in animal care at college and it showed in how she gently introduced herself to our cat. We would recommend her for cat sitting anytime. Thank you El!”

“Jasmine was absolutely brilliant throughout! Teds is a bit of an anxious boy and we’re very aware that he’s not always the easiest to look after.. but from the very first moment he met Jasmine he was at ease. She has a calmness a true understanding of dogs that was impressive from start to finish. Teds was visibly chilled when we returned and you could tell he was very happy to spend time with Jasmine. It’s always difficult leaving your pet with somebody new, and as pet parents there is a natural anxiety hoping they work together - I would, without doubt recommend Jasmine to anybody who is looking for support in dog care! She is just brilliant! We’ll definitely be using her again!”

“Jess is a wonderful sitter... She's lovely and friendly, taking time to find out all about Millie and kept me updated with lots of pictures and messages while I was away, enabling me to totally relax, knowing Millie was very happy and well looked after. She was also very respectful in my home. I would definitely recommend booking her.”

Pet owners share their Rover experiences - Chiltern
Rebecca did a fantastic job looking after our 3 cats. She took extra care of our very elderly cat who is almost 22. She sent us daily photos and updates several times a day which was so reassuring. She was extremely well organised and left the house spotless and even washed the bedding etc before she left. She also took care of our plants during the heatwave and looked after our fish. We really recommend her and would not hesitate to book her again
We were really pleased that we found Victoria to look after Bruno for a week. Our holiday coincided with a heatwave so Victoria had to contend with fitting walks in around the cooler times of the day (early morning and late evening). We got regular photos and videos that reassured us that Bruno was happy. Victoria seems to genuinely care about animals and builds up a connection with them quickly. When we got home, the house was exactly as we left it, you’d never know someone had been staying there! I would highly recommend Victoria.

Haylie was amazing with all the animals and left the house as she found it. She came to visit to get to know Poppy before I went away and made sure I was kept updated as there was a heat wave over the weekend. It makes such a difference knowing your pets are safe and happy when you are on holiday.

Shae looked after our dog Hobbes and our house for 6 nights whilst we were overseas this Easter. She went above and beyond to make sure Hobbes was well looked after. Communication was good and this provided real peace of mind for us to enjoy our trip knowing our dog and house were in safe hands.

This was our second time using Natalia and Nico to look after our two labs Bill and Ben and they did a brilliant job. We were sent regular updates and photos which made us feel secure in the knowledge that our boys were happy and relaxed with them. Our house was beautifully tidy on our return. We highly recommend them.

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Post & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Rubbish & recycling: Taking bins out on scheduled rubbish collection days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best time to agree on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a 'home cheat sheet' that includes your preferred Chiltern walking routes, the location of your favourite pet shop, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes dedicated customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement programme for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover must pass an identity verification before they can list their services. An identity verification confirms that the sitter is who they say they are based on their documents.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page .
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Chiltern choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a key safe or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. On Rover:
- 90% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 89% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 98% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest vet. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorisation form for your regular vet. An authorisation form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
