“Cora was reliable, easy to communicate with, and took really good care of our dog. Our dog was happy, comfortable, and clearly well looked after the whole time. We felt confident knowing our dog was safe and in good hands. Would definitely recommend - thank you!”

About: We are a family of four but very loving and caring. We live in Amersham. Due to family commitments happy to cover areas within 2mile radius only. I have more than 5 years of experience though I registered with this app in 2022. I am dog first aid/CPR trained and fully insured with Protectivity in case. I always offer meet and greet to ensure all your requirements have been discussed and you are happy with the services I provide. Due to children still being very young I have decided to mainly offer house visits and occasional house sitting services. We don't have any pets at the moment due to children still being young! My children love feeding the cats and playing with the pets under my supervision and only if agreed with the owner prior booking. During the house visits I'm more than happy to feed them, administer medication, play with your pets, walk them, change their litter, water plants, tidy up if needed and put bins out. Very flexible and open to any of your requirements. During the week can only cover early mornings and evenings. Happy to cover various times on weekends though. Required days could always be agreed in advance. Also accept last minute bookings! Please don't hesitate to ask us any extra times or days you might require as always happy to accommodate your requests. We are happy to accommodate your requirements with enough notice. I do offer house visits in the morning and evenings during the week and anytime on weekends. Don’t hesitate to contact us if you require any additional days or extra care time as we can accommodate it whenever we can. We have a fenced garden and spacious house. However, do not offer boarding at this point of time.
“Tilly is a wonderful dog sitter. She came to meet our doggy before her first visit. Tilly is always on time, keeps us updated on her visits and sends us little photos during her stay. Our dog seems to love Tilly too, and we're so pleased to have Tilly helping us with our doggy .”

“Haylie was amazing with all the animals and left the house as she found it. She came to visit to get to know Poppy before I went away and made sure I was kept updated as there was a heat wave over the weekend. It makes such a difference knowing your pets are safe and happy when you are on holiday.”

“We couldn’t be happier with Isabella! She stepped in last minute when our plans changed and nothing was too much trouble. From the start Isabella was friendly, reliable and completely put us at ease. Our dog clearly adores her and we came home to a happy, relaxed dog. We’re so grateful for the support and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Isabella to anyone needing a trustworthy dog sitter. Thank you again for everything!”

“Georgia was really fantastic. She looked after our puppy Quentin very well and he had a very happy time while we we were away. I would unhesitatingly recommend her and will use he again.”

“Megan is just great! Excellent communication and really took care to understand our dog’s needs. She’s super friendly and calm, and was the perfect companion to look after our nervous sighthound for the evening. Recommend her completely!”

About: I've had dogs all my life so caring for them comes naturally to me. I attended agility and dog training classes regularly in my teens and in more recent times I had an ex military dog. I understand that each dog has their own needs which I'll always take my time with whether that's energetic walks, playtime or gentle companionship. ❤️ Fun fact! I once also starred in an itv dog rescue program upon adopting a new family dog. I work full-time but with flexible hours and hybrid, meaning I can work around you whilst dedicating plenty of time, care, and attention to your beloved pet. I live on my own and don’t have children, which allows me to remain very flexible and can adapt to your pet’s routine and needs. I’m also usually completely free on weekends, so I can offer extra time for play, company, and care or be with them for the entire day. I always make sure pets feel safe, comfortable, and cared for by sticking to their usual routine as closely as possible. In a pet owner's home, I respect their space and follow all instructions carefully, including feeding schedules, medication (if needed), playtime, and any specific preferences or routines. I understand that pets can feel unsettled when their owners are away, so make sure they receive plenty of attention, patience, and reassurance. ❤️
“Ellen is a wonderful sitter — Chaves has stayed with her more than once and she's coming back again this week, which speaks for itself. She did a meet and greet first, asked all the right questions, and kept me updated the whole time. Easygoing, caring, and reliable. Chaves and I are lucky to have found her!☺️🐶”

“Julie is a lovely woman who really cares about dogs. Both our boys were happy and bouncy when we came back and we could tell they were well looked after. She's very easy to deal with and the dogs seemed to love her.”

About: I’ve grown up with dog and just love the joy they bring into lives. I believe as humans we don’t deserve dogs so any extra care I can provide for them to make their lives calmer and stress free, I will! I work in the film industry where the demand changes - at the moment it’s very quiet so looking for something to give me a purpose and spark joy! In my own home I have a fenced garden for my Labrador. In your home, I will make sure the dogs are fed and watered and at ease before I am to leave them for whatever reason. Their needs come first!

About: I have often been described as being able to befriend almost any animal! In particular - cats! I own a cat but don't currently have a dog so would love to able to spend more time with them. I have trained puppies as a child with my parents and have always grown up with cats and dogs. Since living alone I have had Bonnie (my cat) with me and she is my absolute world so I can understand the level of care you may expect from a sitter and would always prefer a trustworthy person rather than having her in a cattery on the rare occasions when I'm away. I have a lot of experience in managing diets, new tech available for pets and can administer medication if need be. I am fully DBS checked and can provide proof of this if necessary. I can currently offer drop in services from Monday to Friday as I work on a part-time basis. Unfortunately I cannot currently offer services on the weekends unless I have at least two weeks notice. I am happy to send photos and videos via Whatsapp and to meet your pet prior to any agreements to offer a service. I like to make sure your pets are comfortable with me prior to booking!
“Jess is a wonderful sitter... She's lovely and friendly, taking time to find out all about Millie and kept me updated with lots of pictures and messages while I was away, enabling me to totally relax, knowing Millie was very happy and well looked after. She was also very respectful in my home. I would definitely recommend booking her.”

About: I have had cats all my life, caring for them through illness and old age. Izzy is coming up to 19 years old and still going strong! I have walked and fed several of my neighbours dogs when they’ve been away on holiday. Mr. Pickles was a grumpy old pug but I loved him to death. Yoshi, a Cavapoo, was challenging as he used to yap but I grew very fond of him. Recently, due to my neighbours new pregnancy, I have been frequently caring for Cassy, a hyperactive spaniel. Like me, she has boundless energy and an insatiable appetite to play. I don’t have any formal training but have been around animals all my life and love getting to know their unique personalities and special ways of interacting! I’m currently a full-time student at the NFTS in Beaconsfield. My schedule is often different week by week but I am always completely free Friday - Sunday. Our sessions on Monday - Thursday usually wrap up at 16:30 so I am available for evening walks. I feed my cats twice a day on a healthy mixed diet and give them constant attention and love. I am an extremely active person so happy to take overly energetic dogs on long walks or runs if that is something they enjoy. I am very affectionate and attentive to a dog’s needs, keen to understand their personalities so as not to breach boundaries.

Pet owners share their Rover experiences - Chiltern
Cora did a lovely job at taking care of our recently resuce puppy Nova whilst we were away. I'm always nervous putting trust in people, but when I met Cora all my worries went away! She's very experienced and she gave us peace of mind throughout our trip by regularly updating us on how Nova was doing. Highly recommend!

We were really pleased that we found Victoria to look after Bruno for a week. Our holiday coincided with a heatwave so Victoria had to contend with fitting walks in around the cooler times of the day (early morning and late evening). We got regular photos and videos that reassured us that Bruno was happy. Victoria seems to genuinely care about animals and builds up a connection with them quickly. When we got home, the house was exactly as we left it, you’d never know someone had been staying there! I would highly recommend Victoria.

Haylie was amazing with all the animals and left the house as she found it. She came to visit to get to know Poppy before I went away and made sure I was kept updated as there was a heat wave over the weekend. It makes such a difference knowing your pets are safe and happy when you are on holiday.

Thank You Rebecca for the beautiful calligraphy note 😻 I received regular updates and photos from Rebecca while away and Rebecca always messaged me to check anything she was unsure about. My home was beautifully clean and tidy when I returned home. My cat Thea was relaxed and I am very happy with the service I received. Thank You Rebecca. :)

Shae looked after our dog Hobbes and our house for 6 nights whilst we were overseas this Easter. She went above and beyond to make sure Hobbes was well looked after. Communication was good and this provided real peace of mind for us to enjoy our trip knowing our dog and house were in safe hands.

This was our second time using Natalia and Nico to look after our two labs Bill and Ben and they did a brilliant job. We were sent regular updates and photos which made us feel secure in the knowledge that our boys were happy and relaxed with them. Our house was beautifully tidy on our return. We highly recommend them.

Niamh stayed at our home and looked after our dog, Coco, for ten days while we were on holiday - we were very impressed and would definitely recommend her to others!! Niamh popped over to see us before we made the booking. Coco warmed to her straight away and they sat on the sofa and had a cuddle whilst we chatted. Niamh is very polite and friendly, and made me feel at ease straight away. When we were away, she sent updates and photos of Coco out on her walks. She took her to lots of different locations in the area, which Coco would have found stimulating and very enjoyable. When we returned, the house was clean and tidy and Niamh had washed and dried her towels and stripped her bed, which was much appreciated. I'm sure Coco will miss her, so we will definitely contact Niamh again when. we need more dog sitting. Thank you, Niamh, for allowing us to relax and enjoy our holiday, safe in the knowledge that Coco was being well looked after back home ❤️

It was our first time having a dog sitter look after our rather needy but lovely dachshund and Georgia made the whole experience easy. She answered all my questions beforehand, was really laid back and efficient and the meet and greet really put me at ease! She understood the needs of our dog and knew his limits. It can be daunting leaving your dog with someone new but Georgia is a trusted pair of hands and I'd highly recommend her.

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Post & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Rubbish & recycling: Taking bins out on scheduled rubbish collection days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best time to agree on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a 'home cheat sheet' that includes your preferred Chiltern walking routes, the location of your favourite pet shop, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes dedicated customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement programme for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover must pass an identity verification before they can list their services. An identity verification confirms that the sitter is who they say they are based on their documents.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page .
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Chiltern choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a key safe or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. On Rover:
- 90% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 87% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 98% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest vet. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorisation form for your regular vet. An authorisation form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
