Stress-Free Care in Your Home

I’ve worked with dogs across the whole spectrum, from easygoing cuddlers to highly reactive, slightly more complex characters. I understand how to support nervous dogs, how to read body language, and how to create safe, positive experiences for every pup in my care. My own family has four reactive terriers, which is what first sparked my interest in canine behaviour and set me on the path I’m on today. Alongside my formal studies in Canine Behaviour, I currently shadow an experienced trainer and work in a day care alongside behaviourists and trainers throughout the week. This hands‑on environment has given me a deep understanding of socialisation, group dynamics, and how to manage a wide range of temperaments confidently and calmly. I bring that same knowledge into my pet care. I’ve trained dogs personally for years and often use house sits as an opportunity to reinforce good habits, build confidence, and help dogs feel understood. I love figuring out what makes each dog tick and getting to know their individual quirks - it’s genuinely one of the best parts of what I do. Whether your dog needs patience, structure, reassurance, or just a fun day out, I’m here to make sure they feel safe, supported, and happy while you’re away.

Safety, trust & environment

When I care for pets in their own home, I prioritise routine, comfort, and safety. I quickly get to know each pet’s needs - from feeding and walks to any quirks or triggers, and keep a calm, respectful presence so their environment stays clean, secure, and familiar. I’m fully insured and carry my own client intake forms, vet release, and terms & conditions, which outline my safety policies. For overnight stays, I treat your home with the same care I would my own and provide regular updates so you feel completely at ease while you’re away. My aim is always a smooth, stress‑free experience where your pet feels safe, understood, and happy in their own environment.

We were really pleased that we found Victoria to look after Bruno for a week. Our holiday coincided with a heatwave so Victoria had to contend with fitting walks in around the cooler times of the day (early morning and late evening). We got regular photos and videos that reassured us that Bruno was happy. Victoria seems to genuinely care about animals and builds up a connection with them quickly. When we got home, the house was exactly as we left it, you’d never know someone had been staying there! I would highly recommend Victoria.

We feel incredibly fortunate that Victoria came to live in and look after our French Bulldog Juno. Victoria has an excellent knowledge of dog behaviour and looked after Juno expertly. Our Juno had a yeast ear infection and Victoria washed her ears regularly to combat it and keep it at bay. Our Juno also came into her first season whilst we were away and under Victoria’s care. Victoria was brilliant with her. Victoria also had to deal with the inconvenience of some minor house issues while we were away. Victoria was amazing and we feel very lucky to have found her. We would highly recommend Victoria for anyone needing a dog sitter!

Vic put us all at ease with her warmth, friendly approach, care and attention to detail when looking after our dog and cat. She built a quick rapport with animals and humans, making us feel relaxed and confident to leave them in her capable hands. Vic was really open and knowledgeable in sharing what she is learning through her dog behavioural studies - which was so insightful! I would rebook Vic again in an instant, and recommend her highly to anyone looking to book any of her services!

Victoria was very good. Flexible, and we felt very happy leaving her with Pep. She also engaged with him with toys and sent lots of lovely pictures.

Great communication, very happy and settled dogs, and house was house was left very near and tidy. Vic took giving medication to our diabetic dog in her stride. Thank you!

Schedule

I'm currently working in a day care tue-thu (there is an option for your pup to join me should your house sit fall over these days) and shadow training classes at the weekend. If this is something you (and your pup!) are open to, there are opportunities for them to join the class with me. Otherwise I enjoy long walks and hanging out at home!

It’s really helpful to know things like their daily routine, any medical needs or medications, how they are on walks, and what they’re like with other animals or people. I also like to know any quirks, fears, or house rules (like if they’re allowed on the sofa!). The more I know up front, the better I can make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and cared for.
