“We can't recommend Emma highly enough. Our cat has recently been diagnosed with diabetes and we were considering cancelling our holiday, but Emma was well-skilled in caring for cats and administering the injections. She visited us twice before we went and kept us updated with daily reports and photos. We'll definitely be asking for Emma again! ”

About: I’ve got a ginger cat called Ollie who is 10 years old. Our family dog was 16 and she passed away last year. I’ve volunteered on and off for 4 years at a cat & rabbit rescue. I volunteer at a farm. Pet care is already a big part of my daily life. I care for my own cat, Ollie, and regularly volunteer with animals. I currently volunteer at a farm and have also volunteered at cat and rabbit rescues. I am available on Tuesdays, Fridays and weekends, and I enjoy spending my time caring for animals, going on walks and making sure pets are happy and comfortable. I always make sure pets feel safe, comfortable and well cared for. I take the time to get to know each pet’s routine, personality and individual needs, and I follow any instructions provided by the owner. Safety is very important to me, whether that’s making sure doors and gates are secure, providing fresh water and food, or keeping a close eye on pets during walks and playtime. I treat every pet as if they were my own and aim to give owners peace of mind while they are away.

“We booked Sandra for 5 days 2 visits per day for our cat.She was so caring coming through the xmas period and even brought our cat some treats. Will definitely be booking with Sandra again.Sent us photos twice a day of our cat.”
“As usual Poppy did an excellent job looking after Monty and Mia, keeping in touch after every visit with cute photos and ensuring I didn't worry about them! She also did helpful things like opening and closing curtains and getting post in.”

I have a friendly dog of my own who love making new friends, but I always supervise interactions to ensure everyone is comfortable. For pets that prefer their own space, I can easily use crates or separate rooms as needed. When sitting at an owner's home, I follow all house rules strictly, ensure all doors/gates are locked, and provide regular photo updates so you know your pet is safe and happy

About: I have had pets the last 30 plus years. Until recently I had 2 massive ginger toms, TJ and Boo and a border collie called Dino. Sadly, my last furry friend passed away. I miss them. I plan on getting a dog at some stage but it’s early days so in the meantime my daughter suggested I register with Rover. I’ve always looked after dogs and cats for my friends and neighbours since I was a child. I love animals - my best thing is going for a walk in nature with a furry friend. I even took my cats for walks round our very large garden - well they would follow me! I’m semi-retired and work from home. We have had pets in the house for years - we are relaxed about beds and furniture and are happy for pets to sleep in the bedrooms either in their bed or on the bed! I have a very large garden and a small woods. I always go out into the garden with any pets I look after. I live on the river so may not be suitable for any dog that’s crazy about water - as soon as they see it they dive in! Dino, my border collie, would only go in if he could see the bottom! Obviously happy to have getting to know you visits beforehand. Before going on walks I do a recall assessment so I can gauge how responsive they are. I trained Dino with lots of positive reinforcement - am happy to use treats too if permitted by owner.

“Kirsty was great, she is flexible and reliable, arrived on time and stayed for a good half hour at each visit. She is easy to contact and responds promptly. We are very happy with how she looked after Tig, not just feeding but also playing and petting him. Thank you Kirsty. :) ”

About: Hi there! I’m Nadia, and I’ve been caring for pets for over 20 years. I’ve looked after all kinds of dogs and cats, from energetic puppies to sweet senior pets. I genuinely love spending time with animals and take pride in giving them the care, attention, and affection they deserve. Whether it’s a walk, playtime, or just keeping them company while you’re away, I’ll treat your pet like one of my own. I currently work full time ( compressed hours ) in the NHS (admin) . I live on the ground floor of an apartment building and have a medium sized shared garden space, which is directly accessible from my front room. I usually work from home most days; my work allows me to be flexible around certain times of the day, and im also available on weekends to look after your pets. I have a small fenced garden and have space in my front room to easily accommodate your pet’s crate if needed. My next door neighbour is a mini chocolate dachshund but she’s ever so friendly with other dogs and mostly just loves toys and cuddles.
“Lucy was amazing from start to finish. Her initial communication was quick and efficient, the first meet up was lovely and gave us lots of confidence. Both our boys really liked her which was evident when she popped over to return keys and Pico went straight up to her for strokes. Consistent communication and photo updates whilst we were away which both entertained and reassured us. Couldn’t recommend Lucy enough”

About: I have always been around dogs since I was little . I have gained lots of experience through working at a veterinary surgeons , working at a doggy day care and also by working at a kennel and cattery. While working for those companies I have managed to gain my animal first aid and my 1 day canine body language certificate. My availability can be a bit limited from time to time due to having my own little family but don’t let that stop you giving me message as I’m always happy to help where I can. I have such a passion working around and with animals especially dogs. I have a dog of my own so the caring ,the walking and the feeding never stop. When my dog is happy I am happy. I believe in treating your animal the same way when their owner is with them. I follow every instruction the owner will give me to make sure their fur baby is very well looked after.

Spelthorne cat owners share their Rover experiences
Exctremely pleased. This was our first time having someone look over our cats as previously they were looked after by our children who have recently left home. Our cats are 16, from the same litter, both have medical conditions which require several tablets a day, and are quite demanding. Sophie was excellent, kept us updated and sent photos. We have already rebooked Sophie for June and September.
