About: Dogs have been a huge part of my life for as long as I can remember, and they genuinely are my favourite things in the world! I feel completely myself when I’m around them and absolutely love getting to know each dog’s individual personality and little quirks. Over the years I’ve regularly looked after and cared for dogs belonging to friends, family and neighbours, and I’ve now started dog walking too. I’m caring, patient and reliable, and I’ll always treat every dog in my care with the same love and attention I would give my own. I’m very flexible and happy to arrange visits around whatever works best for you and your furry child (or children!). 🐾 I want you to feel completely comfortable knowing they’re getting plenty of love, attention and company while you’re away. I’m especially patient with nervous, anxious or shy animals, always going at their pace, respecting their boundaries and giving them space to feel safe and comfortable. Whether you need regular visits or occasional care, I’m more than happy to work around your routine. I’ll always care for your pets as if they were my own. I’ll follow their usual routine closely, including feeding, fresh water, litter trays, playtime and, most importantly, lots of love and attention! I completely understand how important it is to trust someone in your home with your furry family member, so their safety, happiness and comfort will always come first.

“We can't recommend Emma highly enough. Our cat has recently been diagnosed with diabetes and we were considering cancelling our holiday, but Emma was well-skilled in caring for cats and administering the injections. She visited us twice before we went and kept us updated with daily reports and photos. We'll definitely be asking for Emma again! ”

“Sarah looked after my cat over a long weekend and did a great job! It was so reassuring coming home to a well looked after pet. She is very reliable and gives great updates. I would highly recommend!”

About: Dogs have been a huge part of my life for as long as I can remember. I’ve owned dogs all my life and have spent the past 3 years dog sitting and walking for family and friends, caring for dogs of all sizes, breeds and personalities. I’ve also volunteered at a greyhound shelter and gained experience volunteering at a veterinary practice, which has given me an even better understanding of how to care for dogs and make sure they feel safe, comfortable and happy. I’ll be starting at the Royal Veterinary College in September 2027, with the goal of pursuing a career working with animals. I genuinely love spending time with dogs and treat every dog I look after as if they were my own whether that’s going for adventures, playing, keeping them company or simply giving them plenty of cuddles and attention. 🐶❤️ I work part-time alongside pet sitting, so I’m not available 24/7. I’ll always be clear and honest about my availability and make sure I only accept bookings I can fully commit to. I’m flexible where I can be and will always prioritise giving your pet plenty of time, care and attention. I offer pet sitting in the owner’s home, allowing pets to stay comfortable in their familiar surroundings. I’ll follow their usual routine and make sure they receive plenty of care, attention and supervision. For dog walking, I have my own car and can safely take dogs to suitable walking areas. I’ll always follow your instructions and your dog’s individual needs to make sure they have a safe and enjoyable walk.
“Absolutely brilliant – yet again! I love the videos and photos she sends, and I really appreciate how affectionate she is with my cats. They’re so fond of her, and I’ve become a fan too. 😺😺”

About: I have had pets the last 30 plus years. Until recently I had 2 massive ginger toms, TJ and Boo and a border collie called Dino. Sadly, my last furry friend passed away. I miss them. I plan on getting a dog at some stage but it’s early days so in the meantime my daughter suggested I register with Rover. I’ve always looked after dogs and cats for my friends and neighbours since I was a child. I love animals - my best thing is going for a walk in nature with a furry friend. I even took my cats for walks round our very large garden - well they would follow me! I’m semi-retired and work from home. We have had pets in the house for years - we are relaxed about beds and furniture and are happy for pets to sleep in the bedrooms either in their bed or on the bed! I have a very large garden and a small woods. I always go out into the garden with any pets I look after. I live on the river so may not be suitable for any dog that’s crazy about water - as soon as they see it they dive in! Dino, my border collie, would only go in if he could see the bottom! Obviously happy to have getting to know you visits beforehand. Before going on walks I do a recall assessment so I can gauge how responsive they are. I trained Dino with lots of positive reinforcement - am happy to use treats too if permitted by owner.

Cat owners share their Rover experiences - Spelthorne
I couldn’t be happier with the care Emilie provided for my four cats. She was incredibly reliable, and knowing they were in such capable hands meant I was able to relax and truly enjoy my time away. She kept in touch throughout my trip, sending regular photos and videos after each visit, which was so reassuring. If she wasn’t sure about something or there were different options, she’d check with me first, which I really appreciated. It was obvious from the start that she has a great deal of experience with animals. Even my shyer cats, who don’t usually warm to new people quickly, were happily taking treats from her hand and playing with her almost straight away, which says everything about how comfortable they felt with her. I would wholeheartedly recommend her to anyone looking for a caring, trustworthy, and professional pet sitter. She’ll definitely be my first choice whenever we need someone to look after our cats in the future.

Koda has done a number of drop in visits with my dog and cat and has been great with them both. She took the time to get an understanding of them both and what they needed throughout the day and was so great with them both that they instantly warmed to her. She kept me updated with photos and videos during the visits and I had total peace of mind knowing she was looking after them. I would highly recommend and will continue to use Koda

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
