The photo updates we received showed a happy boy out and about in local parks, and Jon was very professional when Casper got a bad stomach (a common occurrence with Casper), adjusting his diet accordingly and basically just dealing with any issues without causing us any stress or worry in our trip. About: We are a family of dog and pet lovers and have had our own dogs for many years. We have Snoopy (beagle) at home and have reared him since he was 8wks old. He loves lounging at home with his family and meeting other dogs on his tours of the local area / community. We are home based (self employed) and have an enclosed garden for Snoopy to show your pooch around. Husband and wife both work from home so give lots of attention to our four legged companions. Regular walkies plus enclosed garden at any other playtime… The dogs are never left on their own as we both work from home. Snoopy, our beagle is well socialised and will welcome other dogs into our home. We have an enclosed garden that the dogs have full access to.

Jon is the most amazing sitter I have come across on Rover, always keeping me updated on the adventures which he is taking my dog on with some of the loveliest photos. My dog was having such a good time that when I came to pick him up looked pretty unhappy that I had arrived.

Rodrigo was absolutely the best dog sitter we could have hoped for. He took care of Bruno as if he were his own child, giving him so much love, attention, and care throughout his stay. Bruno came home happy, relaxed, and clearly well looked after. In fact, he’s still missing Rodrigo, his daughter, and all the friends he made while he was there—that says everything about how much he enjoyed his time! Ricky was very communicative and took good care of Zuko. One of Zuko’s quirks is that he likes someone to sit with him while he eats, and Ricky sent multiple pictures of him sitting on the ground, keeping Zuko company, during meals and reported on his eating. He took Zuko on good walks and was very understanding as Zuko adjusted to a new environment. We felt like he was safe and well cared for in our absence. We have booked with Ricky again for him to watch Zuko two more times in the next month and feel very comfortable leaving Zuko with him.
Beril and her husband were AMAZING with Blossom. They showed her so much love, care and affection, which meant the world to us because we could really enjoy our holiday knowing she was in safe hands. If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest vet. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorisation form for your regular vet. An authorisation form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
We require sitters to operate in compliance with applicable local licensing requirements. In England, pet sitters who board dogs or provide doggy day care as a business may need a valid licence under the Animal Welfare (Licensing of Activities Involving Animals) Regulations 2018. When vetting your sitter, ask if they meet local licensing requirements for dog boarding. This confirmation is important for coverage under the Rover Guarantee.
