“Thank you for having Margot to stay with you and your family. Margot has a lovely time with you and we feel very happy leaving her knowing she is being looked after incredibly well! Thank you for updates and great photos!”

“We booked with Elizabeth for the second time and once again she took great care of our working cocker spaniel! He is normally quite anxious with unfamiliar surroundings but he settled right in and was happy and relaxed when we arrived to pick him up. Highly recommend!”

“Bizhen was amazing! Right from our first Meet and Greet, we knew our dog was in very capable hands. Whilst we were away, we received regular updates, including pictures, from Bizhen and, if we had any questions, she would respond within minutes. Bizhen obviously loves all dogs and I very highly recommend her for any dog sitting services. Thank you Bizhen!”

“Wiola and her partner Adrian looked after Pippa for a long weekend and were fantastic with her. They kept me updated with photos and videos throughout. Will definitely book with them again next time we're away!”

“Millie can be a little nervous in new environments, so we knew this stay might take her a bit of time to settle. It did come with a few challenges, but Ornela handled everything with great care, patience, and understanding. Communication was excellent throughout, and we really appreciated the regular updates and the effort made to keep Millie comfortable and supported. We’re very grateful for the care and attention given — thank you again for looking after her so well. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Ornela to anyone — she’s a very caring and understanding person.”

“Jasmin and her family are absolutely amazing in how they looked after Nyla. Nyla was super happy when I picked her up and it has been our second stay with Jasmin. I can highly recommend her to anyone!”

“Jon has been absolutely great! Could not have asked for better dog sitters. Jon’s updates kept us worry free while we were away. Thank You Jon, we will sure keep Jasper again with you in the future.”

“Ruthie was just wonderful with our cockapoo! He stayed overnight with her and was so well looked after. Ruthie met us beforehand and the communication was amazing throughout the stay. I would not hesitate to recommend her and will definitely book Ruthie again to look after our boy!”

About: We are a family of dog and pet lovers and have had our own dogs for many years. We have Snoopy (beagle) at home and have reared him since he was 8wks old. He loves lounging at home with his family and meeting other dogs on his tours of the local area / community. We are home based (self employed) and have an enclosed garden for Snoopy to show your pooch around. Husband and wife both work from home so give lots of attention to our four legged companions. Regular walkies plus enclosed garden at any other playtime… The dogs are never left on their own as we both work from home. Snoopy, our beagle is well socialised and will welcome other dogs into our home. We have an enclosed garden that the dogs have full access to.
“Yasemin and her family were absolutely lovely! They took great care of my dog, taking lots of long walks and playing with her. Yasemin sent me photos and updates about their days together. I felt confident that my dog was well looked after. Definitely recommend Yasemin to other dog parents!”

“Paulina is always looking after our little one with care and love . Ricci would not be more happier on these few days to stay with her when we were away. We never left him boarding , only day care , but he felt home and cared and safe as he was at home . Thank you Paulina as always !”

“We highly recommend Rodrigo and his lovely family. Ella had a wonderful time staying with them and received lots of attention, care, and playtime, especially with Rodrigo’s lovely daughter, whom she absolutely adored. Rodrigo is caring, easy-going, flexible, and reliable, which made the whole experience stress-free and reassuring. It was clear that Ella was happy, comfortable, and well looked after throughout her stay. We will definitely be coming back again and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Rodrigo to other pet owners.”

“Rebooked with Tamyn after such a great first time. Again, lots of love and care taken with Ruairí and it's a pleasure for me knowing that he is with them. He was very excited to be back which says it all!”

“Thank you, Jonathan and Michael, for taking good care of Mugi for nine days. We're able to travel safely. We're really glad We met you. We're looking forward to seeing you again☺️☺️”

“Highly recommend Elizabeth as a pet sitter! Taking care of an older dog requires extra care, and Elizabeth was exceptionally patient. The communication was excellent, she is always positive and proactive. My dog was very happy under Elizabeth’s care, thank you!”

“Amazing sitter! Made my little chihuahua comfortable and relaxed even though he’s a little nervous at first. Very patient and professional and so loving at the same time. The whole family and environment were perfect for my Tyler. I think he misses them hahaha xxxxx thank you so very much”

“We couldn’t be happier with the care Chris provided for our Bull Terrier, Odin, during the two weeks we were away. From the very start, Chris was professional, attentive, and truly passionate about animals. He made sure to understand all of Odin’s needs and routines, which gave us so much peace of mind. Throughout the entire time, Chris kept us updated with regular photos and messages, showing how well Odin was settling in. It was clear that Odin was having a great time, enjoying his walks, playtime, and even some extra cuddles! When we returned, Odin was relaxed, happy, and in great spirits—just as if we’d never left. Chris went above and beyond, treating Odin like his own pet, and it’s obvious that he has a genuine love for animals. We can’t recommend Chris highly enough. If you’re looking for a trustworthy, caring, and responsible petsitter, Chris is the best there is. Thank you so much, Chris, for taking such amazing care of Odin!”

“We couldn’t have asked for a better dog sitter in Francesca! Luna, is a cherished member of our family, and leaving her in someone else’s care is never something we take lightly. From the moment we dropped her off, it was clear she was in great hands. We received constant updates and adorable photos, which gave us complete peace of mind while we were away. When we arrived to pick her up, she was absolutely thrilled but also completely at ease—happy, relaxed, and clearly well cared for. It was obvious she had been loved and treated like family. Seeing her excitement when she saw Francesca again at first drop off made it clear that this was more than just a stay; it was a comfortable home away from home. We are beyond grateful for the care, attention, and kindness shown to her. We wouldn’t hesitate for a second to book again and highly recommend to anyone looking for a loving and responsible pet sitter. Thank you! ❤️🐶”

“Sandra and family were very kind and accommodating, looking after my dog for two nights during sweltering conditions. They took her on very early and late walks so it was a bit cooler - much appreciated! I would definitely go back which is the best recommendation I can give.”

We booked Raquel super last minute as our usual dog sitter was not available, and she accepted it really fast (total lifesaver). She’s so warm and friendly and sweet and provided tons of updates with photos. Raquel and Ricky even managed to get Kiko to take a treat (first time ever when he’s away from us, super impressed.) They were really flexible and kind and Kiko seemed to enjoy it too. Would definitely book again! 💘

Nicola is a professional dog sitter. She will make your fur babies and mature dogs feel at home and also reassure you as a dog owner that your dogs are in the best hands - and from my experience- they are. I have two Cavalier King Charles Spaniels - one chilled and one very active…Nicola has been able to accommodate them both. I cannot recommend Nicola highly enough.

Nick was brilliant. He understood the needs of my elderly dog and sent regular updates. I used to take the dog everywhere but now he needs quieter routines, so it's very important for me to know that I have a good heart nearby looking after my dog when I need to be away.

I can't thank Becky enough for her dog sitting services! She stepped in an emergency situation at a very short notice. She gladly accepted to care for Pablo for 5 days and she has been amazing! She understood the special circumstances and Pablo's needs. I received daily updates and photos of how Pablo was doing. I felt that Pablo had a great time under Becky's care! Thank you Becky!

We couldn't have asked for a better experience! Sam was really nice, attentive, and went above and beyond taking care of Cherry, sending updates throughout the whole day so we never had to wonder how she was doing. He was so patient and sweet with her, and it really showed how much he cared. Highly recommend!

Kamila looked after our fur babies as if they were her own. Given it was the first time ever using someone who isn’t family it was very reassuring meeting kamila and the dogs absolutely adored her. We got regular updates and they were happy and well looked after. Thank you so much and we will definitely be booking again.

I asked boarding of our dog Coo to Bizhen first time, but I don’t have any concern because she graduated veterinary school. She updated videos and photos of Coo frequently and I could see his life. She takes care of Coo very well and he has many dog friends in her place.
Jon is the most amazing sitter I have come across on Rover, always keeping me updated on the adventures which he is taking my dog on with some of the loveliest photos. My dog was having such a good time that when I came to pick him up looked pretty unhappy that I had arrived.

We honestly couldn't have wished for anyone better than Kath & Liv to look after Daisy. For almost a month, they cared for her with so much love, kindness, and attention. The moment Daisy came home, we could tell how happy she had been and how much affection she had received. It truly felt like she had been treated as part of their family. Being away is never easy when you have a dog you love so much, but Kath & Liv gave us complete peace of mind. We always knew Daisy was safe, happy, and in the very best hands. We wouldn't hesitate to leave Daisy with them again and would recommend them wholeheartedly to anyone looking for caring, trustworthy, and genuinely wonderful pet sitters. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you both so much for loving Daisy as if she were your own. We are so grateful for everything you've done for her, and we hope to see you again soon! ❤️

Rodrigo was absolutely the best dog sitter we could have hoped for. He took care of Bruno as if he were his own child, giving him so much love, attention, and care throughout his stay. Bruno came home happy, relaxed, and clearly well looked after. In fact, he’s still missing Rodrigo, his daughter, and all the friends he made while he was there—that says everything about how much he enjoyed his time! It’s such a relief to know Bruno was in such caring hands, and I wouldn’t hesitate to trust Rodrigo again. I highly recommend him to anyone looking for someone who genuinely loves and cares for dogs. Thank you, Rodrigo, for treating Bruno like family!

Ida was wonderful with our Cavapoo Bertie and took excellent care of her whilst we were away travelling. She formed a lovely bond with her and really looked after her so I was really pleased with how it all went. I would highly recommend Ida to anyone looking for their pooch to be taken care of ⭐️

If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poo breaks occured. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available for dedicated customer support by email or chat if you have concerns.
The personalised, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog's vaccines is the best way to be 'boarding ready'. Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Sitters in Greater London may request that your dog be up-to-date on core vaccines, such as Canine Distemper, Canine Parvovirus, Canine Adenovirus (also known as DHP or DHPPi), Leptospirosis and Kennel Cough. Cats may be required to have Feline Panleucopenia Virus, Feline Herpesvirus, Feline Calicivirus, and Feline Leukaemia Virus up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes dedicated customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement programme for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover must pass an identity verification before they can list their services. An identity verification confirms that the sitter is who they say they are based on their documents.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest vet. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorisation form for your regular vet. An authorisation form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
We require sitters to operate in compliance with applicable local licensing requirements. In England, pet sitters who board dogs or provide doggy day care as a business may need a valid licence under the Animal Welfare (Licensing of Activities Involving Animals) Regulations 2018. When vetting your sitter, ask if they meet local licensing requirements for dog boarding. This confirmation is important for coverage under the Rover Guarantee. Read more about our requirement for following local licensing requirements .
