“Liz and Alex are such caring and kind people who looked after our anxious cockapoo overnight. She was spoilt rotten and received the best care and attention. Thank you Liz and Alex, see you soon!”

“Thank you for having Margot to stay with you and your family. Margot has a lovely time with you and we feel very happy leaving her knowing she is being looked after incredibly well! Thank you for updates and great photos!”

“Bizhen was amazing as always. She found an issue with my dogs tooth which I was very grateful for and she also was very accommodating when I arrived late to pick Moose up after a delayed flight. I will keep having Bizhen look after Moose while I am away as I know he is in very good hands”

“Ruthie was great with our cocker spaniel - very caring and took him on huge walks in the park which he loved! She also kept us up to date with pictures and was very responsive and helpful. We would definitely ask Ruthie to have him again - thank you!”

“It was great to have Coco with Yesmin and her family while we were away for our holidays. We got regular updates and pictures/videos. Coco felt completely at home and so thoroughly loved!!”

“Ornela was fantastic with Twiglet, he had a great couple of days and had lots of fun! Really good communication and I received regular updates. Definitely will look forward to booking Twiglet a stay with Ornela and her family again.”

“Sandra and family were very kind and accommodating, looking after my dog for two nights during sweltering conditions. They took her on very early and late walks so it was a bit cooler - much appreciated! I would definitely go back which is the best recommendation I can give.”

“We’ve left our dog with Jeanette before and each experience has been consistently excellent. they’ve been reliable, communicative, and clearly passionate about caring for animals. It’s always reassuring to know our dog is in safe, capable hands. Thanks”

About: We are a family of dog and pet lovers and have had our own dogs for many years. We have Snoopy (beagle) at home and have reared him since he was 8wks old. He loves lounging at home with his family and meeting other dogs on his tours of the local area / community. We are home based (self employed) and have an enclosed garden for Snoopy to show your pooch around. Husband and wife both work from home so give lots of attention to our four legged companions. Regular walkies plus enclosed garden at any other playtime… The dogs are never left on their own as we both work from home. Snoopy, our beagle is well socialised and will welcome other dogs into our home. We have an enclosed garden that the dogs have full access to.
“George and his partners Georgia were fantastic! They were kind and gentle towards Odie which gave us a great first impressions. They maintained Odies routine and provide us with plenty of photos. Highly recommend. Hopefully they will be free when we next need them.”

“We were very happy with the way Ruby was looked after. Florent kept us updated with pics and reports and we could see how much love Ruby was getting. She had lots of walks and fun and has come happy, calm and relaxed. Communication with Florent is easy and he is very quick to respond. Highly recommrnd”

“Highly recommend Elizabeth as a pet sitter! Taking care of an older dog requires extra care, and Elizabeth was exceptionally patient. The communication was excellent, she is always positive and proactive. My dog was very happy under Elizabeth’s care, thank you!”

“Oliver was terrific! We met ahead of time to make sure Oliver's dog Monty and our dog Maisie got along fine, and they had a blast at a dog park. It's clear that Oliver has a lot of experience with dogs! We left Maisie with Oliver and Monty for two nights for a quick getaway and picked her up yesterday. Everything went well, and we look forward to booking with Oliver again soon.”

“Frankie had the best time with Jon. Left her with him for 5 days, when we got back was greeted by a very happy puppy. Jon went out of his way to meet us before the stay so he could meet frankie and we could meet him, during her stay we got updates and photos. As it was very hot I was a bit concerned as she is a French Bulldog and cant handle the heat well but was reassured he didn't take her out in the heat and took water and put her cooling bandana on when he took her out in the cooler times, he clearly knows a lot of about dogs and their safety. Wouldn't hesitate to leave Franks with him again.”

“Ineta looked after Ollie overnight on a Saturday at very short notice. She provided lots of updates, videos and photos throughout his stay which included a trip to the beach. Thank you”

About: I grew up with both cats and dogs and have always loved all animals. I have dog sat for friends and family several times throughout my life. I am extremely reliable and organised. If I'm at a house with pets, you can guarantee I'm spending time with the furry folk rather than the human kind. I have a very flexible job with plenty of free time, so I am able to care for and play with your pets often. I work from home most days of the week, and my husband is currently at home full-time. I am completely available on weekends. I am happy to crate your dog if needed. I have a garden that is not fenced, so would always use a lead when taking pets outside. I live very close to a large park so have very easy access to areas where your dog can run around and play.
“Sofia has been brilliant with Bruce She looked after Bruce like her own Bruce felt right at home and he had loads of cuddles and fun 🤩 I can’t recommend her enough and Bruce will be pleased to stay with her again. 😘”

“Jonathan and his partner were looking after our dog Peppa for a weekend while we were visiting London. And we could not recommend them enough since they are very pleasant, reliable and responsible people. They made sure that Peppa feels comfortable and maintains her usual routine, that she has plenty of walks and playtimes. They kept us updated, so we did not worry about Peppa at all! And when we took her we could say that she had had a great time!”

Somayeh and her partner were absolutely fantastic from start to finish. They took Milo on lots of great walks, gave him plenty of attention, and made sure he was happy and well looked after. We especially appreciated how attentive they were — when they thought Milo was looking a little lean, they checked in with us straight away rather than just assuming everything was fine. It really showed how much they cared about his wellbeing. Milo also had a brilliant time playing with their dogs, Pinker and Toffee, and it was lovely to know he had some canine company while we were away. Somayeh and her partner were caring, responsible and communicative, and we would have absolutely no hesitation in leaving Milo with them again. Highly recommended!

Kat and Jason looked after out dachshund Roy this week while we went on holiday and they couldnt have been better, Roy loved them, didnt want to leave, we got lots of updates and photos of him relaxing and having fun, we have a very happy dog and are very happy owners, we would recommend them to anyone and had a great trip knowing he was being cared for so well! Thankyou!

We had a great experience using Ganna’s sitting services. It was a very straightforward and smooth experience from our initial introductory catch up to the actual stay. Our dog Max looked comfy and very well-looked after while we were away and we would definitely be rebooking with Ganna. Thank you!

Bizhen was great with our puppy, Ceci. She sent us photos and videos every day and clearly took wonderful care of her throughout her stay. Ceci also came home noticeably better behaved and more well-mannered — I think the older dogs at Bizhen’s house set a great example for her! We felt very reassured knowing Ceci was in such good hands and would happily recommend Bizhen to anyone looking for a caring and reliable dog sitter.

I would highly recommend Sandra. She has a good understanding of dogs and knows how to handle the larger breeds very well. She took great care of my GSD over a weekend break, sending me regular updates. My GSD tends to become anxious when left alone so Sandra voluntarily slept on the couch with her on her first night to settle her in. Thank you Sandra

We had such a great experience with Rachel! She communicated really well throughout and showed Poppy so much care, love, and attention. We felt completely supported and could trust her to look after our dog, which gave us great peace of mind. We would definitely use Rachel again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a caring and trustworthy sitter! A home from home experience for Pops! Huge thank you Rachel and family 🫶🏼

Could not rate Karyna and Tom highly enough. We were anxious to leave Nemo as he hadn’t been left with anyone for this long before (8 nights). We shouldn’t have worried as he was helped to settle in and was made to feel comfortable and part of their lives. We got a nightly update which we looked forward to. We would not hesitate to book Karyna again.

Katherine was absolutely incredible with my little Pomeranian Alfie. She has the warmest presence and he was clearly comfortable with her from the get go. She sent me lots of updates and Alfie was very happy and relaxed. I would absolutely recommend Katherine to all dog owners

Haydn and Julia were wonderful looking after my dog over the summer. I felt completely reassured knowing she was in such good hands and was clearly very well cared for, happy, taken out for walks often and had lots of cuddles. They were lovely, reliable and caring, and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them. I’d definitely use them again! 🐾

Lizzie was a wonderful dog sitter for my beagle. Communication was great from the outset which made everything really easy to arrange and Lizzie was really engaged with indie and her routine throughout. She was very accommodating and easy going and indie had a brilliant stay with lovely walks. Would highly recommend!
Rosaleen looked after Della for over three weeks while I was away in Europe. Della is normally very clingy to me but came back completely chilled and had obviously had a wonderful time staying with Rosaleen. Della was also beautifully bathed and fragrant! Rosaleen updated me regularly with pictures and messages and I was very happy throughout. I will most definitely be using Rosaleen again.

Zuko had a wonderful time with Ricky, as always. He got lots of long walks and attention, and he was bouncing and wiggling with excitement as soon as he saw Ricky, so we know he enjoys his stays with him and is happy to see him. Ricky sent lots of pictures and communicated throughout the stay, so we never had to wonder how Zuko was doing.

We where apprehensive to leave our 2yr old dog for 3 nights but so impressed by Lucy and Reece's care of our dog Maggie. They followed her routine gave her everything she needed and kept us updated throughout. For Maggie it was just like being at home. We cant thank them enough and would highly recommend them for any pet services whether dog walking or pet sitting. We will absolutely be using them again.

You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available for dedicated customer support by email or chat if you have concerns.
The personalised, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog's vaccines is the best way to be 'boarding ready'. Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Sitters in Greater London may request that your dog be up-to-date on core vaccines, such as Canine Distemper, Canine Parvovirus, Canine Adenovirus (also known as DHP or DHPPi), Leptospirosis and Kennel Cough. Cats may be required to have Feline Panleucopenia Virus, Feline Herpesvirus, Feline Calicivirus, and Feline Leukaemia Virus up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes dedicated customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement programme for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover must pass an identity verification before they can list their services. An identity verification confirms that the sitter is who they say they are based on their documents.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest vet. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorisation form for your regular vet. An authorisation form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
We require sitters to operate in compliance with applicable local licensing requirements. In England, pet sitters who board dogs or provide doggy day care as a business may need a valid licence under the Animal Welfare (Licensing of Activities Involving Animals) Regulations 2018. When vetting your sitter, ask if they meet local licensing requirements for dog boarding. This confirmation is important for coverage under the Rover Guarantee. Read more about our requirement for following local licensing requirements .
