About: Whilst fairly new to the dog sitting profession, I have fantastic experience raising our family dog Jasper from a puppy. He grew into an adorable large labradoodle, Jasper lived to 14years and I helped train him to behave fantastically with young children, a very calm and gentle demeanour. My first dog sitting experience was very recently after I lost my full time job. A good friend asked if I could look after their family dog in my flat whilst they are away on holiday for a week. My only other commitments in the week is the occasional saxophone gig, otherwise I am readily available to care walk and look after your canine family members. I live in a ground floor flat in Carshalton, very short walking distance from multiple parks, wilderness island (active shallow stream, clean spring water from wandle). I am improving my fitness and have been taking dogs on runs recently on lead. There is vinyl flooring in most of the property, but I put towels and rugs down to make walking easier for older / larger dogs. A pub near me even does doggy ice cream, so your dog can expect at treat once or twice during a holiday sit. I don’t have a driving licence so locality is important to consider and or drop off / pick up from owner will likely be required. I am fine to sit dogs of all sizes but a very large dog might struggle in a small flat. Please don’t hesitate to contact me (including call!) for more information and to get to know me better :). I am currently unemployed, not earning PAYE. I am a musician, meaning Friday and Saturdays nights / evenings are often busy. Some other music commitments may impact my schedule but am not away from flat for more than 3 hours. My flat is ground floor and secure. The block has cctv, and on a safe private road. The flat is surrounded by grass and trees of the shared garden. I have mats and rugs to place on my vinyl flooring and safe place for dog to eat, drink in the kitchen. I don’t enforce rules, if dog wants to lie in bed or on sofa, that’s no problem. Been known to visit the local pub which offers doggy ice cream - your dog can expect a summer treat when staying with me!
“My dog - Amber stayed with Jack and his wife for 8 nights. They both took great care of her and I could tell from all the photos that she enjoyed staying with them. Jack was excellent at keeping in touch each day and he sent so many excellent photos. Amber is an elderly dog and Jack was very organised and responsible with her medication. Amber is incontinent and Jack gave her excellent care and kept her dry and clean. I would recommend Jack very highly to anyone looking for excellent and caring boarding.”

“Brilliant work from Jess - she did remarkably well with my lively little pup. Her care was intuitive and kind. I’ve come home to a contented little dog so I’m a really happy dog owner, would happily use her again and would highly recommend Jess to others.”

About: Hi, I'm Kaitlyn! I'm 27 years old and live in a spacious home with a secure garden. I don't have any children or other pets, so your dog will have plenty of peace, attention, and space to relax. There's also a large park nearby, perfect for fun walks and exercise. I've always loved animals and grew up with pets, so I understand how important it is for them to feel safe, happy, and well cared for. I enjoy taking dogs on walks, spending quality time with them, and giving them lots of love, attention, and cuddles while they're in my care. I'll treat your pet as if they were my own, making sure they feel comfortable and at home.
“Dolly had a great stay for a few days with Natasha and George. They are real dog lovers and are very easy to work with - they sent regular updates, and with the hot weather they made sure walkies were done early before it got hot! Dolly was upset to come home but she will be back soon.”

“Alexei and Lin were the perfect hosts to our dog Skye. They took the time to get to know her at an initial meet and greet, and gave her such a lovely 5 days whilst we were on holiday. They sent daily photos and videos so we could see just how happy she was on her walks, and playing in their garden at home. We can’t recommend them enough.”

“Freya and her partner looked after our little dachshund Bruno when we were away. They have been amazing, giving us updates, sending us pictures and taking Bruno out for little walks ☺️ we couldn’t recommend them more! Bruno was a very little happy pup with them 🥰”

Womble spent 17 nights with Katie and was very well looked after. He was a little unsure to start with as there were several other dogs staying when he arrived but soon started to feel at home. Katie made a huge fuss of Womble on his 5th Birthday and we were sent videos of Womble celebrating. Womble would be very happy to stay with Katie again.

Fernando stayed with Vicky just one 1 day and a half, and that doesn't give me enough insight to write a detailed review. However, I know that Fernando was very happy with Vicky because when her kids were saying bye, he didn't wanted to leave and that deserves 5 starts. Thanks Vicky for your service I will definitely use it again

Robyne is fantastic - can’t recommend her enough! Very experienced and confident, felt like home for my dog the moment he walked in ; ) She’s a great communicator, sending photos and updates regularly. My return flight got cancelled and only arrived the next morning but she’s been very happy to accommodate it without any troubles. I’m super grateful, that is not a matter of course. Will book again!

I would thoroughly recommend Lucy to anyone looking for someone to look after their dog. From the moment we started speaking she was friendly and approachable and was always so helpful with anything we needed to ask. Throughout his stay we received frequent updates with photos which were really lovely. And when he came home our dog Augie was a very happy and calm boy! We would definitely love to have Lucy look after him again.

Kaitlyn was fantastic! She was very accommodating to all our needs and it was all very smooth. She was responsive to our messages and gave us updates with pictures. She has a lovely home and it was a great environment for our Cookie. Would definitely book with her again. 👍👍

Yongying is a great dog sitter and such a lovely person! She sent us plenty of updates throughout the stay and took great care of Lidl. Lidl and Boa also got along really well and had a great time together. We’d definitely be happy to have Yongying look after Lidl again!

If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available for dedicated customer support by email or chat if you have concerns.
The personalised, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog's vaccines is the best way to be 'boarding ready'. Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Sitters in Greater London may request that your dog be up-to-date on core vaccines, such as Canine Distemper, Canine Parvovirus, Canine Adenovirus (also known as DHP or DHPPi), Leptospirosis and Kennel Cough. Cats may be required to have Feline Panleucopenia Virus, Feline Herpesvirus, Feline Calicivirus, and Feline Leukaemia Virus up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes dedicated customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement programme for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover must pass an identity verification before they can list their services. An identity verification confirms that the sitter is who they say they are based on their documents.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest vet. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorisation form for your regular vet. An authorisation form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
We require sitters to operate in compliance with applicable local licensing requirements. In England, pet sitters who board dogs or provide doggy day care as a business may need a valid licence under the Animal Welfare (Licensing of Activities Involving Animals) Regulations 2018. When vetting your sitter, ask if they meet local licensing requirements for dog boarding. This confirmation is important for coverage under the Rover Guarantee. Read more about our requirement for following local licensing requirements .
