“Artemis enjoyed a month-long stay with Rodrigo and came back healthy, energetic, and happy as usual—this was her third time having fun with Rodrigo! Rodrigo was communicative and we really appreciated that Artemis was safe and well for an extended period of time.”

“Absolutely incredible. Paddy loved staying with Elisabetta! Paddy was well taken care off and he literally dragged me back to hers on the second day. Will definitely be using Elisabetta from now on, trust her completely. Thank you so much”

“Very good experience, Tracy is well taken care of by Lucia and her husband. She sent me very frequent update and help to walk her every 3 to 4 hours. Will definitely rebook her :)”

“Francini is the best! She made it so easy for me with a late booking and took the best care of my crazy frenchie. There’s a reason she books out fast, if she’s free you’re in luck!”

About: I took care of our family dog growing up, for about 7 years or so. I have also been a dog sitter for friends and family before. I really love dogs and walking around! I am available for boarding on weekends and Fridays (sometimes Thursday as well). I am a full-time working professional. I work 3 or 4 days from the office and 1 or 2 days remotely, from home. I live in a large flat with all the necessary facilities for taking care of a dog and plenty of space. I am also fairly close to green spaces and parks in central London. My building also has an adjacent well-kept garden.
“Geri looked after Truffles for a long weekend and I knew she was in good hands. I was kept up to date and never had to worry as I knew she was surrounded by love. Highly recommend!”

“Rob had our 4 month old cockapoo overnight and she had a great time. We met the day before, as was a last minute booking. He made her feel comfortable and safe and was very communicative with me while he had her. Will definitely use him again”

“Michaela was great with Marco. He was a bit nervous when we left him so she made sure he was comfortable before going out. Once settled he had lots of long walks to explore local parks and seemed very happy.”

“Bertha had a great time staying ten days at Lluis place. He was taking great care of her and she cant wait to spend her next holidays at his place! :) big thanks again for taking care of that little monster ;)”

“Luisa was an absolute pleasure to work with! Our pup Maya had a great time with her and her partner while we were out of town and constantly shared updates and pictures. 10/10, will definitely be booking again. 🙂”

“Josephine and Sebastian were incredible with my senior dog. They were thorough in their detailed care of my dog (including routine medication and an unexpected illness) and communication with me, and I was reassured that my dog was in the best possible hands. I would absolutely trust them to watch my dog again.”

“We were in such a rush hoping our dog would be able to find someone, and rover made that possible. Yang has been amazing since the moment we took bello. She was attentive and focused on Bello’s need. Amazing person with so much love for dogs. I would definitely rebook and recommend rover+Yang.”

“I can’t thank Demi enough. Not only did she agree very last minute to have Phoenix for me (which meant I could attend an important work trip) she was extremely accommodating and most importantly Phoenix was cared for very well, loved like part of the family and came back very happy and very tired! She had a great stay! Would 1000000000% book again. Highly recommend. Thank you Demi xx”

“Jeeyeon is an excellent, thoughtful puppy carer. She has consistently exceeded all my expectations and my puppy is happy to return with her everytime I need to travel. She follows all caring instructions and goes out of her way to make sure my puppy is happy and his needs are met. Jeeyeon is also very communicative and shares updates and delightful photos throughout the day. She is always on time to collect and return my puppy. I highly recommend her!”

“Rachel looked after our little cocker spaniel puppy and did an absolutely amazing job. She treated him like her own and followed all of our instructions perfectly. I would definitely use Rachel again when we need someone caring to look after our puppy”

About: I’ve had dogs and cats my whole life, so looking after animals has always been a big part of who I am. I’ve cared for everything from German Shepherds and Labradors to Beagles, and I’m comfortable with pets of all sizes and personalities. I recently lost my beagle, which has left a bit of a gap in my life, so I’d love to spend time caring for other pets and giving them the attention they deserve. As an international student living away from home (and my five cats!), I really understand how much pets mean to their owners. I’ll treat your pet with the same care, patience, and affection I would my own, and I’m happy to follow any routines or special requests to keep them happy and settled. I’m a university student with a changing timetable, but I live very close to campus (about 5 minutes away), which makes me quite flexible during the week for walks, drop-ins, and care around my classes. I have much more availability on weekends, so I’m especially happy to take on bookings then. I live alone in a clean, calm flat with no other pets, so your pet will have a quiet and stress-free environment. They’re more than welcome on the furniture and even the bed if that’s what they’re used to. I’ll make sure they feel comfortable, safe, and at home during their stay.
“Gul was absolutely amazing. My husband and I traveled did two weeks and wanted our 5 month old kitten to be boarded so he would be alone too often at home. She was so patient with him, sent pictures everyday and gave him all the cuddles. I would highly recommend Gul to anyone looking for someone e caring and attentive to take care of their pet.”

“A brilliant tool to find a great sitter. Lots of walks. Lots cuddles. Lots of photos and videos sent to me during Riva’s stay. I really felt there was a brilliant connection. I would highly recommend Gabriella. Riva misses her already! 🐾 🐶🤎🤍🤎”

Charlie was with Louise for 9 nights - he’s a very old boy with a few health issues so we were nervous leaving him for so long, but he was obviously looked after really well by Louise - he’s come back full of beans, looking very well & happy. Thanks so much Louise!

Our two dogs stayed with Hana for almost a week and she was absolutely amazing! They loved spending time with her and she kept us updated every day with lovely photos. She followed all instructions to the T and we couldn’t have asked for more. We will be definitely use Hana next time we go away ☺️

Karina and her partner took great care of my mini dachshund while we were on holiday. She followed all instructions carefully and was very patient as Nola got used to her new environment and was nervous as first. They even taught Nola some new tricks! Communication was easy and I received lots of photo and video updates. Keiki is a high energy dog but she and Nola figured each other out and ended up being good friends. Would definitely recommend Karina and her partner for your dog care needs.

Marie Louise was so lovely! She took great care of my dog Ron! You can see the love she has for dogs from the minute you meet her, she's confident in understanding each dogs needs. I felt really confident in leaving my dog with her knowing he was in great hands. Thank you so much!!

Lu came in clutch and saved my weekend trip after a previous arrangement from another pet sitter fell through. Message her pretty late in the evening and managed to arrange it on the same evening no problem. Choux thoroughly enjoyed his stay at hers and it is apparent that she enjoyed taking care and looking after my son. Will definitely book her again in the future. Thanks for taking care of Choux, Lu. Till next time!

Catalina and her husband looked after Kiki for 3 nights while we took a short holiday. They are amazing!! Highly recommend them. Great communication and photos of Kiki doing activities with them. I think Kiki had a better holiday than we did!!! Her photos were nicer too ;). Thank you Catalina!!

The absolute best. I have a lot of anxiety around leaving Duke for stays outside the home, and Frederica and her partner could not have been a better match. They were extremely communicative, sent endless photos and videos, and I could tell immediately upon drop-off that he was in the best hands.

Sydney was amazing with my dog, Maui! He’s on the older side now and had some medication he needed during his stay, but she was so kind in taking on the additional trouble and made sure to fully understand his needs and schedule. I received lots of updates with photos and he seemed to have a lovely time:) I’ll definitely book with Sydney again!

Nathan took excellent care of our greyhound boy Manu overnight. He helped me out really last minute which was so appreciated. He is flexible, communicative and thorough. He very clearly loves dogs and prides himself in taking the best care of them! He sent lots of pictures and updates so I knew Manu settled in quickly and was in excellent hands the entire time. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend Nathan and hopefully Manu can stay again in future :)

Bruce had a fantastic time with Jason - we were sent regular updates (both messages and photos) during his stay. The weather was particularly hot and Jason took very good care of him. While Bruce is very happy go lucky with new people he seemed especially happy with Jason and we would definitely ask for Bruce to stay again and recomend him to our friends!

Finding the right boarding environment is all about peace of mind. Boarding with a sitter on Rover helps you find a cosy experience in a real home for your dog.
When searching for a host, look for a sitter who:
- Offers a secure, home-like environment that is clean and welcoming
- Adheres to your dog’s established routine for meals, activity, and rest
- Possesses relevant experience with your pet’s specific breed, size, and personality
- Maintains clear communication regarding the frequency of photo and message updates
Don’t skip the Meet & Greet! The free Meet & Greet is the best way to see where your dog will sleep and who they might play with.
If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poo breaks occured. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available for dedicated customer support by email or chat if you have concerns.
The personalised, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog's vaccines is the best way to be 'boarding ready'. Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Sitters in Greater London may request that your dog be up-to-date on core vaccines, such as Canine Distemper, Canine Parvovirus, Canine Adenovirus (also known as DHP or DHPPi), Leptospirosis and Kennel Cough. Cats may be required to have Feline Panleucopenia Virus, Feline Herpesvirus, Feline Calicivirus, and Feline Leukaemia Virus up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes dedicated customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement programme for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover must pass an identity verification before they can list their services. An identity verification confirms that the sitter is who they say they are based on their documents.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest vet. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorisation form for your regular vet. An authorisation form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
We require sitters to operate in compliance with applicable local licensing requirements. In England, pet sitters who board dogs or provide doggy day care as a business may need a valid licence under the Animal Welfare (Licensing of Activities Involving Animals) Regulations 2018. When vetting your sitter, ask if they meet local licensing requirements for dog boarding. This confirmation is important for coverage under the Rover Guarantee. Read more about our requirement for following local licensing requirements .
