“Orazio has separation anxiety but Anely knows how to make him feel comfortable and when I picked him up in the morning it was obvious that his stay had been happy and that he had made friends with her dog Brownie.”

About: I’m particularly experienced with whippets, labs and border collies, but adore all and have grown up with dogs in my family, so being around them feels very natural to me. I work from home a few days a week, which gives me flexibility, and I’d be very happy to have dogs stay with me, or to look after them in someone else’s home. I’m keen to spend as much time as possible with different breeds whilst I decide which dog to get for myself! Caring for a pet fits very naturally into my weekly routine. I work from home two days a week and have fairly quiet weekends, so during the daytime I’m able to have a dog with me and give them plenty of attention. I’d be happy to take them out for walks during my lunch breaks in the local park, and at weekends I enjoy longer walks around the wetlands and marshes nearby, or further afield. Overall, I have the time, flexibility and lifestyle to provide consistent care, exercise and companionship. I live in a one-bedroom flat with a small, secure garden at the back. Dogs staying with me would have a calm, comfortable space and plenty of company during the day. I have a dedicated space where they can settle next to me while I work. I’m very attentive to a dog’s individual needs and would make sure they get the right amount of exercise - typically this would include a couple of shorter walks during the day and one longer walk, adjusted as needed depending on the dog’s age, energy levels and routine. In someone else’s home: I’m very respectful and conscientious when caring for pets in other people’s homes. I previously worked as an au pair, which has given me strong experience in being responsible, discreet and trustworthy in someone else’s space. I’m comfortable following specific feeding, walking and care instructions, keeping routines consistent, and making sure both pets and owners feel at ease.
“Paul and Leslie took fantastic care of our dog - we met beforehand to check he got on with their lovely dog Sylvia, they were great dealing with all of his quirks and we got regular pictures and updates on how he was doing which was much appreciated. Our dog came back happy and we would definitely leave him with Paul and Leslie again ❤️”

“We had to book Yushi last minute and she was absolutely wonderful!! Every night we got a debrief of how the day went with Freddy including photos ☺️ It gave us such reassurance that he was in great hands and having a blast. So grateful and will definitely be back!”

“Katherine is wonderful and Mambo is a huge fan! Brilliant with dogs, took Mambo out and about, great communication - they had a great time. I would highly recommend x”

“Catalina and her wonderful family were absolutely amazing with our dog. He is a bit stressed with other dogs and large in size but they treated him like a member of their family, sending us photos and summaries regularly and showing nothing but love, kindness and affection for our gentle giant. Thank you so much ❤️”

“Giedre is a wonderful dog sitter! She made my dog Judy feel right at home from the start. It was obvious she felt happy, comfortable and really enjoyed her stay. I came back to a relaxed content dog which gave so much peace of mind. I'd happily trust Giedre with my dog again and can highly recommend!!”

“I highly recommend Evan and Gorka for their pet care at their home. Toulouse had recently developed mobility issues due to neurological issues however they accommodated him well and gave him his medication regularly. Their dog Hazel was also very sweet, patient and accommodating of him too. Toulouse was treated like their own and adored and doted upon. He has now come home and my family and I feel he is happier and more confident. We therefore believe that they have greatly helped in his recovery and will make use of their services again when away if they are available. Thank you Evan and Gorka :)”

“Tien was great with my anxious rescue Dobby! We arranged a meet & greet beforehand and I explained his triggers, then Tien looked after Dobby without issue. Would definitely request as a sitter again!”

“Emilee was the perfect sitter for our mini dachshund, they kept us updated during the stay and were happy to accommodate our last minute change of plans. I would highly recommend Emilee to sit for your pets”

“I can’t thank Nicoletta enough for looking after my dog, Lola. She was absolutely wonderful and kept me updated throughout with pictures and videos, which gave me such peace of mind. Lola was clearly very happy and well cared for. I would highly recommend Nicoletta to anyone looking for a caring and reliable pet sitter. Thank you so much! 🐾”

“Victoria was absolutely brilliant looking after our dog Rain for 8 days. She was so friendly and communicative, sending regular updates and photos that made us feel completely at ease, even though it was his first stay with her. Rain loved spending time with Victoria, her family, and their lovely dog Elvis, and it’s clear she genuinely cares for the dogs she hosts as if they were part of her own family. We couldn’t recommend her more!”

“Our dog Felix had a great time with Victoria. She was sending us frequent updates with him clearly enjoying his time with her. Would recommend and contact again in the future”

“Ashley and her partner took great care of my little Dachsund Dolores on an overnight stay. They took her for a long walk and kept her thoroughly entertained. Would highly recommend and would have no hesitation booking them again.”

“Jorige & Nix were great. A short-notice change in plans caused us to contact them, and they were a dream to deal with ahead of the weekend when they looked after Penelope, and then during the time they were taking care of her we had plenty of photos and communication and the best judge of all, Penelope seemed so settled & happy with them in all of those pictures.”

“Maximus seemed very happy, even with Jen and Jack's large dog, he doesn't always get in with large dogs even quite placid ones. It was nice getting a picture of him trying to get onto Jack's lap whilst he was working.”

Waltham Forest dog owners share their Rover experiences
We are ever so grateful for Daisy and the care that she gave our Springer Spaniel Otis, when we were recently overseas. Otis is normally very lively and healthy, but while we were away developed a serious and likely life-threatening health condition, Daisy with all of her experience with looking after dogs recognised the signs and acted without delay even though it was Easter weekend and took him to the emergency vet. We were kept up to date regularly with his progress. This is every dog owners nightmare and I am sure the same for dog sitters, we cannot recommend enough the experience, care and decisive action shown by Daisy while she was looking after Otis.

Max had an amazing time with Seth, Fred and Elsie. Seth took the time to meet Max before his stay and find out everything about him. The daily updates and beautiful photos were very much appreciated and made us feel completely at ease knowing that Max was having lots of fun! Max came home completely relaxed and content. I cannot recommend Seth and Fred enough. They are kind, welcoming and extremely understanding (which helps when you have an anxious dog and owner!). I wouldn’t hesitate to leave Max with them again. We are so grateful to have found such wonderful dog sitters and Max is counting down the days until he can stay again! Thank you so much for taking such good care of him.

Best sitter we could ask for, very kind, easygoing, attentive to all details, did everything to give us peace of mind while we were away. Would definitely trust her with our little one! Also, best sitter Lily🐾 could ask for, she had tons of fun and long walks, perfect human and dog company, loads of cuddles and attention. Thanks so much for everything!!

We had a wonderful experience with Carmen and Eva while our dog, Poppy, was staying with them. They were incredibly caring and attentive, and it was clear that Poppy was happy and well looked after the entire time. What really stood out was how regularly they kept us updated with photos and messages about what Poppy was up to. This was so reassuring for me, and it also really helped my son, who was missing her a lot. Seeing her enjoying her walks and settling in so well made a huge difference. They always made sure to keep us informed whenever needed and were very responsive and thoughtful throughout. Poppy was taken on lovely walks and clearly received plenty of attention and care. I would highly recommend Carmen and Eva to anyone looking for trustworthy and loving dog sitters.

Laura was fantastic with Jaxon! He felt comfortable right from the start. He also has several medications that need to be given at different times, and Laura handled all of his needs perfectly. As a bonus, she sent lots of photos and videos while we were away, which really put our minds at ease. Also for an older dog her apartment is all one level with a garden! We’ll definitely be using her again!

Nicole is wonderful and our dog had a really brilliant stay with her. She made me feel so confident and reassured to leave him as she is so knowledgeable and capable with all different types of dogs, and she really helped us with some behavioural problems. She kept us constantly up to date and sent videos and photos. Our dog had the very best time and I’m sure he can’t wait to see her again. Many thanks Nicole!

Brian and his girlfriend were wonderful watching our sweet, but anxious with other dogs, dog Kishmish. They were super communicative while we were away, sending us lots of pictures and updates, making drop off/pick up really easy to arrange, and they were even happy to arrange a meet and greet before the booking so Kishmish could meet them and see their apartment. Brian was super respectful of Kishmish settling in when she was getting to know him and their space, great at managing her anxiety, and planned a fantastic weekend of meeting his friends, long park walks and time together - Kishmish had a great time! Would definitely recommend!

Aditi and Charlotte were very good with Anita during our holidays. We could enjoy our trip feeling that Anita was having a good time and receiving all the care she needs. The girls were nice, sending pictures of Anita in different moments of the day (sleeping, walking, playing, …). I felt secure to enjoy my holidays knowing Anita was in good hands!
