“Ralph and Flynn had a lovely stay with Katherine over the weekend. She was great at keeping me updated with photos and they were clearly very happy snuggled up on the sofa! We felt very comfortable leaving them in her care. We collected two very happy dogs! Thank you again :)”

“I really can’t thank Hannah and Jayden enough. Tiny our little yorkie was completely chilled and happy when we picked her up after her stay with them. While we were away Hannah kept us updated everyday with messages photos and videos it was so reassuring to know she was in such responsible hands , Hannah also kept to Tinys routine for feeding etc. I would be very happy to leave Tiny with them again.”

About: I rescued my previous Rottweiler and I am very experienced in looking after big dogs as well as small ones! I grew up with my springer spaniel in my family home and fully house trained him when he was a puppy. I really enjoy running with dogs too :) I work from home on Friday, and I am in most weekends. I would be able to give all my attention to your dog all weekend. I have a fenced garden as I’m on the bottom floor, I have no other pets as my Rottweiler sadly pass away. I have lots of space in my flat, which is also based right in the centre of Blackheath village. I am about a 5 minute walk to the Heath and I absolutely love walking to Greenwich park, which is a very dog friendly park.
“We left our dog Snoopy with Colette for 18 nights, and we couldn’t be happier with the experience. From day one, she showed incredible care, knowledge, and genuine love for dogs. She sent us regular photo updates almost every day which gave us so much peace of mind while we were away. Snoopy looked so happy in every picture, whether he was playing ball at the beach or just relaxing after a walk. She made sure he was well looked after, entertained, and loved the entire time. It’s clear she has a real gift with dogs. He came back home super happy, so clean, and clearly well cared for. In fact, we think he might be missing her today! She truly is a gem on the Rover app, and we feel so lucky to have found her. Highly recommend! Thanks again Colette ❤️”

“Andreea was so so lovely. She accepted Cooper as a last minute request. She ensured he was well looked after and cooper came back looking sweeter than ever . She also sent lots of pics of him, reassuring us during our travel. Will be booking again🥰”

“Thank you so much for helping out last minute. Archie, our cocker spaniel, had a wonderful time, and came back to us in great spirits. Paul and Leslie's communication was excellent. I'd definitely rebook and recommend others to use their services. Thanks guys!”

“Stitch had a great time and came back really happy. She took him out for plenty of walks and kept me updated with photos and messages. Stitch will definitely be going back to Hollie!”

“Lauren and her partner were so lovely and took wonderful care of Bixby! They sent updates throughout his stay with them and had lots of fun. Thank you both so much and Bixby is already looking forward to staying again!”
About: What sets me apart is my experience with both cats and dogs of different ages and personalities. I have cared for cats for over 15 years and dogs for around 5 years, including senior pets that require extra patience, attention, and gentle care. I am reliable, calm, and attentive to each animal’s individual needs, whether that means active playtime, maintaining routines, or simply providing companionship and comfort. I genuinely enjoy being around animals and always strive to make them feel safe, happy, and well cared for. I work full-time, but I work from home two days a week. I have a flexible schedule that allows me to organize my time effectively. My workday starts at 9:30 a.m., so I have availability in the mornings, as well as in the afternoons. I am also available on weekends and would be happy to help without any issues. If I am providing a home visit, I make sure your pet is well-fed and has a clean litter box. I also try to spend time playing with them, and if they are shy, I simply keep them company and make sure they feel comfortable and cared for. If your pet stays in my home, my flat is completely pet-safe and equipped with secure mesh screens to ensure their safety. There are several parks near my home, so if your pet enjoys spending time outdoors, there are plenty of places where we can go for walks and enjoy some fresh air together.

“Ellie had a great time with Deborah and her siblings. They were friendly, responded quickly, and sent lots of updates during Ellie's stay. We will definitely be using their services again!”

“The dogs came back happy and obviously very well cared for. Both Nicola and her partner were obvious very good to them and provided constant updates. We will definitely be using them again if we need.”

About: I have had dogs in my life since I was a teenager with my family dog and have been a dog owner with my wife (Yoojin) until our little fluffy boy passed away at almost 17 years old. We've both had experience with small dogs and bigger dogs with the biggest being my mum's Staffordshire bull terrier who is incredibly strong. We know that every dog has their own personality and we are happy to accommodate them. We work from home most days of the week so can do daytime walks too. Although this profile is in my name, both my wife and I will likely take care of any dogs who are trusted to us. We are dog lovers and can't wait to meet and make some cute friends. Both my wife and I work from home 3 out of 5 weekdays so we can be pretty flexible. Whatever time your dog needs to go out and for however long I'm sure we can help. We are happy to board a dog in our home. We keep our house clean and safe for dogs and even have a balcony so they can watch the world go by if they want. We also live very close to a large park so your dog can enjoy nature daily while being with us. Whatever routine your dog has and rules it should follow, we will follow them too.
“Thank you Daisie so much for being the best carer for Winnie, she loved her time with you and Maggie. Will definitely look to work with you again, so helpful, very communicative and Winnie had the best time. Thanks again xx”

“We were nervous for our first time leaving Melvin with a stranger, but from the moment he met Oliver he was immediately at ease. As were we. Throughout our trip Oliver shared numerous updates and photos of Melvin looking both spoiled and content, and it was clear when we collected him that the the two of them had developed a genuine bond. We would not think twice of leaving Melvin with Oliver again, and would highly encourage others to do the same.”

Our pup Gene had a great stay with Jorige and Nix. We really appreciated how attentive and patient they were, and how accommodating they were with his routine. Gene is quite anxious and not the most straightforward dog to look after, but they did a fantastic job of managing this and putting him (and us!) at ease. It was clear from the updates that even though it took him a moment to acclimatise to a new environment, he clearly adored Jorige and Nix from the outset and felt very comfortable with them. Thank you again!

Monty had a great time with Amelie and Alex, he settled in straight away with them and they kept us updated with cute pictures and updates over the weekend. Monty came home happy and sleepy, the sign of a well exercised pup who’s had lots of playtime, attention and cuddles. We’ll definitely be using Amelie and Alex again, would highly recommend them as dogsitters!

Absolutely delighted with Penelope and Alonzo. They took great care of my dog Shadow. Kept me updated and followed his routine. A lovely home with plenty of space and they had excellent experience of dogs. My dog was very anxious and they catered for him brilliantly. Highly recommend. Thank you Penelope!

Andreea and her partner were such wonderful sitters! Very communicative, and seemed so loving with our two dogs (including our new 4mo old puppy)! The dogs were instantly excited to be there and to meet them, and settled well. The small fenced garden is always a great plus when looking for a London sitter too. Would highly recommend and will definitely book again in future!

We had such a wonderful experience with Bex. I was away for my wedding, which was already a stressful time, but she gave me so much peace of mind by keeping me updated about Bella. She and her partner were incredibly patient, gentle, and loving with her, and it was clear Bella was in such caring hands. And I absolutely loved that Bella had her own little chair! 🥹 It was such a sweet touch and made me smile. I couldn’t recommend her enough — thank you for taking such wonderful care of our girl! 🐾❤️

Joe was absolutely amazing with Percy! He was great at communicating throughout and made sure Percy had a lovely, comfortable stay. I felt completely at ease knowing Percy was in such good hands. Would definitely recommend Joe to anyone looking for a brilliant dog sitter!

Brian and Ee Li have been wonderful dog sitters. They were incredibly attentive to Bella’s needs and kept us regularly informed and updated on how she was feeling and what she was doing, sending us pictures and messages throughout her stay. It really felt almost as if Bella was with us! They even took Bella with them on their outings, so she had her own little holiday, exploring new places while we were away. We felt completely reassured knowing she was in such caring hands. We would happily recommend them and will definitely ask them to look after Bella again.

Sam and Annie looked after Bert for a week whilst we were away, and we would highly recommend! A great couple who clearly have a huge passion for dogs. They took the time to understand Bert's individual quirks and needs, and we felt completely at ease knowing they were in such caring hands. He came home a VERY happy pup! Thanks again both!!

Nicola has been very understanding and accepting of our nervous, anxious and reactive Sprocker. Her gentle care helped him settle down and even eat and drink a little which he doesn't usually do outside of our family. Really appreciated Nicola taking him for a walk. Thank you.

Murphy had a fantastic 10 day stay with Emma and Harvey! It was really reassuring to know that he was being so well looked after - Emma provided lots of updates on Murphs daily adventures and we could tell he was having the best time ever while we went on holidays!

Maxi and Jamile provided the most wonderful home for my precious pup whilst I was on holiday. They kept me updated with regular photos and they are by far the best sitters I have came across, highly highly recommended, I will certainly be using them again if they’ll have us! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available for dedicated customer support by email or chat if you have concerns.
The personalised, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog's vaccines is the best way to be 'boarding ready'. Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Sitters in Greater London may request that your dog be up-to-date on core vaccines, such as Canine Distemper, Canine Parvovirus, Canine Adenovirus (also known as DHP or DHPPi), Leptospirosis and Kennel Cough. Cats may be required to have Feline Panleucopenia Virus, Feline Herpesvirus, Feline Calicivirus, and Feline Leukaemia Virus up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes dedicated customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement programme for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover must pass an identity verification before they can list their services. An identity verification confirms that the sitter is who they say they are based on their documents.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest vet. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorisation form for your regular vet. An authorisation form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
We require sitters to operate in compliance with applicable local licensing requirements. In England, pet sitters who board dogs or provide doggy day care as a business may need a valid licence under the Animal Welfare (Licensing of Activities Involving Animals) Regulations 2018. When vetting your sitter, ask if they meet local licensing requirements for dog boarding. This confirmation is important for coverage under the Rover Guarantee. Read more about our requirement for following local licensing requirements .
