“We couldn't have asked for better people to look after Willow. From the moment we dropped her off, we knew she was in the best hands. She was treated like one of the family, with so much love, attention and cuddles, and it was clear that they genuinely cared about her wellbeing and happiness. Their communication was excellent throughout, keeping us updated and giving us complete peace of mind while we were away. When we collected Willow, she was happy, relaxed and so clearly loved. It means the world to know that we can leave her with people we trust completely. We would recommend them without hesitation to anyone looking for someone who will care for their dog as if it were their own. Thank you so much for taking such wonderful care of our girl!”

“Anke and her lovely family have done such a wonderful job of looking after Lolly. It was our first time away from her and we were sent regular photos and videos to reassure us that she was having the best time! So lovely to see her palling around with other pups and having the time of her life. We highly recommend and will definitely book again ❤️”

“Ronnie was fantastic giving us updates consistently through our holiday. It really helped us to keep ourselves calm and not worry about our Toff. Thank you Ronnie until next time.”

“Liu looked after Bailey whilst we were on holiday as a family and he had the best care. Liu provided us with constant updates and photos. Bailey was made to feel so comfortable whilst away from home which meant we did not have to worry at all. I wouldn’t hesitate to use Liu again and highly recommend her services.”

About: Hi! I am a reliable and enthusiastic dog lover with years of experience caring for dogs of different ages and energy levels. Whether your dog enjoys long walks, relaxed strolls, or plenty of playtime, I will make sure they get the exercise, attention, and care they need. I am also the proud owner of a lovely, calm Cockapoo who gets along wonderfully with other dogs. Having a dog of my own means I understand how important it is to find someone trustworthy and caring to look after your pet, and I treat every dog as if they were my own. I understand that every dog has a unique personality and routine. I am comfortable following specific instructions and providing regular updates so you can feel confident while you are away. My goal is to ensure your dog feels happy, safe, loved, and well cared for at all times, giving you complete peace of mind while you are away. The dogs that I care for take priority in my life. My day will revolve around them. I provide a safe, structured and loving environment where your pet will get constant supervision, regular outdoor time, daily walks, and plenty of affection and interaction. I have a fully fenced, secure garden that your fur baby can enjoy freely throughout the day. I work part time from home, so they will never be left alone and will have regular opportunities to go outside and explore the garden safely. Your dog will also enjoy two daily walks in the nearby safe parks and woodland areas, we are surrounded by beautiful green spaces. They will also get plenty of playtime, cuddles and one‑to‑one interaction to keep them happy and relaxed.

“I was going to take my dog elsewhere until I visited Mauricio. A large and spacious home for the dog to roam with freedom. Cleo is active and enjoys company and she was very well taken care of for 4 days. I was sent pictures of her daily and it was overall a great experince, and I'd definitely use Mauricio again. The whole family love dogs and Cleo appears to have had a 'dog of a time'.”

About: I’ve had dogs since a child and currently have a dog of my own so I am very familiar with how to look after dogs to a high standard. I think dogs should be treated like family and they will always be welcome in my home alongside my dog Whiskey. Please note I have Pet Business Insurance which covers me for the following: - Public Liability - Accidents and Injuries to Animals - Loss of Keys I work from home full time and have a dog of my own so I am used to planning my days around a four legged ball of fluff. I am a total lover of dogs and always make time for walks, play and cuddles. I have a fenced in garden and a dog at home to keep yours company during the day. There are lots of parks local to me which I am very familiar with. My sofas have covers on them so dogs are welcome to snuggle and can roam anywhere in my house. I also have a ring doorbell camera at the front of the house and one facing the garden to provide added security.

Anke and Dennis are absolute legends. Moses, my three year-old Boston terrier always has a great time staying with them. I’d be quite happy that he just gets fed walked and somewhere to sleep, but I received videos of him having a shower, having fun with the other dogs in their care and even having a massage! It seems like a holiday for him every time and I’m so grateful to A&D for being such great dog people, and good people in general. Very happy as usual, will always use these guys without hesitation whenever possible.

Alex and Angela, A huge thank you for taking such wonderful care of our dog while we were away! We really appreciated all the updates and knowing that she was happy and well looked after. She seems to have settled in so nicely with you, which made it so much easier for us to relax and enjoy our time away knowing she was in such good hands. Thank you for treating her like one of your own. We wouldn’t hesitate to leave her with you again and would highly recommend you to anyone looking for kind, reliable and caring dog sitters. 🐾❤️

Blake and Poppie were so great with our dog Barney. He stayed with them for 2 days and prior to his first stay we had a meet & greet set up. They were both so lovely and took such good care of Barney, who can be quite skittish but we know he was in good hands the whole time and really looked after. We got regular updates and photos which was really great and he looked so happy, comfy and made to feel at home in all of them. We would really recommend Blake & Poppie as dog sitters and can’t thank them enough for taking such good care of our little one. I’m sure he’ll be so happy and excited to come back if he goes back for more stays with them.

It was honestly quite difficult for me to trust someone I didn’t know with my dogs, Mia and Freddie, but Liviana made the whole experience so easy and reassuring. Throughout the entire week, she kept me updated with regular messages, photos, and videos, which gave me so much peace of mind. Mia and Freddie were clearly very well cared for, happy, and looked after. Liviana was attentive, caring, and truly went above and beyond to make sure they were comfortable and well taken care of. I’m especially grateful that she built such a beautiful bond with both of my dogs. It was lovely to see how comfortable and happy they were with her. I would absolutely trust Liviana with Mia and Freddie again and will definitely be coming back to her in the future. I highly recommend her to anyone looking for a kind, reliable, and genuinely caring dog sitter! ❤️

Trina and Doug have been fantastic!. Updates all the time or as much as I’ve needed to see my baby girl. I wouldn’t trust anyone else with my little pride and joy, my baby loves being with the family and she loves Skyla their family dog, she’s a beautiful girl who also looks after my puppy. We’re so grateful to have such a loving family to care for our Lainey!. We would 100% recommend them. She’s had a ball. Family outings and walks, cuddles and she’s loved it. THANK YOU so much!

We had such a lovely experience with Jordan and his family! They provided a really warm and welcoming family environment, and Evee their dog was chilled and friendly. I really appreciated that they arranged a pre-stay meet-up beforehand so the dogs could meet and get comfortable with each other. Throughout the stay, they kept me updated with regular messages, which gave me great peace of mind. It was clear that Willow my dog was happy, settled, and well looked after. I would definitely book with them again and highly recommend them - thank you

Upasna and her partner were both amazing. I’m often very nervous about leaving Luna with strangers but they did everything to help ease my mind while away. Frequent photo and video updates, multiple times a day, and very responsive to messages. Highly recommended, they were great!

We were really nervous about leaving our Lab with someone we didn’t know whilst we went on holiday. He is a good boy but is a typical Lab and had recently had an operation. She met our dog prior to the holiday to ensure all parties were happy. While we were away, Cristina was really good with him and kept us updated, even caring for his wound. He had plenty of fun and exercise as well as cuddles. He obviously had a good time as he sat by the door after she had dropped him back. Great service. Thanks Cristina.

Gil was great with Honey and totally put my mind at ease leaving her for the first time. As soon as I met Gil and walked into her lovely house, knew Honey would be in good hands. Gil showered her with affection and love. The updates and photos throughout the stay were greatly appreciated. Would highly recommend Gil.

Ailish was absolutely amazing!! She is super accommodating, friendly and communicative. She gave us tons of updates and pics so we could see what our boy was getting up to! He was spoiled with Ailish and had a great weekend full of walkies and cuddles! Thank you so much 🐾❤️

Really glad to have found Ryah to care for our two small and young dogs for the weekend. She and her partner are very used to dogs and have a calm, caring manner. Thank you both so much for taking care of Ted and Olive and we really appreciated the photos and updates.

Eliana was amazing with Crumble! He was a little nervous initially, but she made him feel so comfortable and welcome. He had a great time playing with another dog she was sitting, Arlow, and it was lovely to see him so happy. She kept us updated throughout with regular messages and photos, which really put our minds at ease. We’d definitely book with Eliana again and highly recommend her!

Archie had a fab time at Matt and Mel’s! He stayed with them and their gorgeous dog, Bill, for a week whilst we were on holiday. We had regular updates and photos so knew Archie was safe, happy and cared for. Archie and Bill got on very well - I think Archie is missing Bills company already! We would definitely book Matt and Mel again. Thank you both for taking such good care of Archie.

You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available for dedicated customer support by email or chat if you have concerns.
The personalised, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog's vaccines is the best way to be 'boarding ready'. Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Sitters in Greater London may request that your dog be up-to-date on core vaccines, such as Canine Distemper, Canine Parvovirus, Canine Adenovirus (also known as DHP or DHPPi), Leptospirosis and Kennel Cough. Cats may be required to have Feline Panleucopenia Virus, Feline Herpesvirus, Feline Calicivirus, and Feline Leukaemia Virus up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes dedicated customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement programme for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover must pass an identity verification before they can list their services. An identity verification confirms that the sitter is who they say they are based on their documents.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest vet. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorisation form for your regular vet. An authorisation form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
We require sitters to operate in compliance with applicable local licensing requirements. In England, pet sitters who board dogs or provide doggy day care as a business may need a valid licence under the Animal Welfare (Licensing of Activities Involving Animals) Regulations 2018. When vetting your sitter, ask if they meet local licensing requirements for dog boarding. This confirmation is important for coverage under the Rover Guarantee. Read more about our requirement for following local licensing requirements .
