“Cristina, was brilliant, Benson had such a lovely time. He loved running around the garden with the other dogs, Benson also loved Cristina’s cosy lovely home. I loved getting all the updates/videos. Superb from start to finish.”

About: I'm currently training as a veterinary nurse, which means your pet is in safe, knowledgeable hands. I've grown up caring for animals of all kinds and have years of hands-on experience with dogs, cats and small animals — including feeding routines, administering medication, recognising signs of illness, and keeping pets calm and comfortable. Friends, family and neighbours have trusted me with their pets for years. Whether it's daily walks, pop-in visits or overnight stays, I treat every animal as if they were my own. Your pet's health, happiness and safety is always my priority. I work full time but have a flexible routine that fits pet care around my schedule comfortably. I'm available for walks or drop-in visits. at varying times. I'm also studying veterinary nursing, so animals are genuinely central to my daily life — your pet won't just be squeezed in, they'll be properly looked after and given real time and attention. I have a friendly dog of my own and a fully fenced garden, so visiting dogs have a safe, secure space to run, play and socialise. I'm trained in animal handling and health monitoring through my veterinary nursing studies, which means I'm confident managing dogs of all temperaments — including those that need a little extra patience or have specific medical needs. I treat every pet as an individual and always follow the owner's routines and instructions to keep things consistent and stress-free.
About: Took care of family lab for 3 years, walking him 3 times a day in the local park. Occasionally house sit family and friends who have cats and dogs. I’m a PhD student living with my partner in our late 20s, currently working from home. Available during weekdays and weekends. We are able to take them on walks at least 2 times a day, and feed them according to their needs. Have access to a park 30 seconds away and 2 minutes away from the riverside. Currently do not have pets of our own but love taking care of our family dogs and cats.
“Natalia and her partner were a very big help with my new puppy. She provided a great service and took very good care of my pup with patience and regular updates and pictures. Thank you!”

“Ely and his family were a pleasue to deal with from the first email contact and my initial recon visit confirmed my thoughts, that this would be a good safe stopover for our MInature Schnauzer Baily. It was all as expected, excellent. I would not hesitate bringing Bailey back another time and recommending to friends”

“Ruby looked after my King Charles Cavalier spaniel for 7 days. I could have not have been happier with the care that her and her partner provided for him. They treated him like their own, giving him his meds, comfy cushions, cuddles and walks with their own dog. Ruby gave me lots of lovely photo updates which was so reassuring. I hope they will have be able to look after him again another time. I would 100% recommend booking! :)”

About: Hi! I am a reliable and enthusiastic dog lover with years of experience caring for dogs of different ages and energy levels. Whether your dog enjoys long walks, relaxed strolls, or plenty of playtime, I will make sure they get the exercise, attention, and care they need. I am also the proud owner of a lovely, calm Cockapoo who gets along wonderfully with other dogs. Having a dog of my own means I understand how important it is to find someone trustworthy and caring to look after your pet, and I treat every dog as if they were my own. I understand that every dog has a unique personality and routine. I am comfortable following specific instructions and providing regular updates so you can feel confident while you are away. My goal is to ensure your dog feels happy, safe, loved, and well cared for at all times, giving you complete peace of mind while you are away. The dogs that I care for take priority in my life. My day will revolve around them. I provide a safe, structured and loving environment where your pet will get constant supervision, regular outdoor time, daily walks, and plenty of affection and interaction. I have a fully fenced, secure garden that your fur baby can enjoy freely throughout the day. I work part time from home, so they will never be left alone and will have regular opportunities to go outside and explore the garden safely. Your dog will also enjoy two daily walks in the nearby safe parks and woodland areas, we are surrounded by beautiful green spaces. They will also get plenty of playtime, cuddles and one‑to‑one interaction to keep them happy and relaxed.
About: Hi there! We’re a friendly and reliable couple—Blake (working in finance) and Poppie (working in marketing)—and we’re both lucky enough to work from home full time. We’re lifelong animal lovers with over 20 years of hands-on experience caring for dogs and other pets. We’ve both grown up with family dogs and regularly care for the pets of friends and family. It’s something we genuinely enjoy—it brings us so much joy to have four-legged visitors in our home. While we don’t currently have a dog of our own (we’re planning to take that step when we move to a larger home soon), we treat every dog who stays with us like part of our family—with plenty of affection, playtime, love, and lots of tickles! Because we both work from home with flexible hours, your dog will have constant companionship throughout the day. We’re always around for cuddles, supervision, and play, so your pet will never be left alone for long periods. We take dogs out every couple of hours for toilet breaks, and they’ll enjoy longer walks during the day for exercise, stimulation, and fresh air—whatever suits their energy levels and personality. Whether your dog is active or prefers a more relaxed pace, we’ll adapt our day to make sure they feel happy and content. We live in a cosy, dog-friendly flat in a safe neighbourhood, surrounded by great walking routes and green spaces. Your pet’s safety, comfort, and happiness are always our top priority. We’ll make sure your dog feels right at home—whether that means curling up by our desks, playing with their favourite toy, or stretching their legs on a scenic walk. We’re also happy to provide regular updates and photos, so you can relax knowing your pup is in loving, capable hands. We can’t wait to welcome your furry friend into our home! 🐶

“Libor is a true blessing, my girl cat is so clingy and extremely funny when it comes to new people. However with libor maybe he’s the cat whisperer or something. Lula loved him so much I think she’s sad to be back with me lol. I’ll so happy she now has a new uncle :) I will be using him everytime. He sent in pictures & videos daily. He’s truly an amazing soul. THANK YOU!! <3”

“Our Bella had her first overnight for nearly 3 weeks with Neil and she absolutely loved it. He kept me up to date with daily videos which was so nice to see. I can highly recommend Neil, he is such a natural animal lover and i knew Bella would be in good hands with lots of cuddles. Thanks again Neil!”

“Rahul and Aishvarya were fantastic. They gave regular updates throughout each day and took my sweet boy for regular walks. Communication was excellent and I felt relaxed knowing that my dog was in good hands.”

“It was my first time using an individual dog sitter instead of a doggy care so I was initially a bit worried. Louisa and her boyfriend were really awesome and treated her well, pictures were sent frequently. Our dog coincidently was on her period during her stay but they seemed really relaxed about. I would contact them again as I know they would be reliable and I would be comfortable Chewie spending time with them again :))”

Hannah is a trustworthy pet sitter. Her place is extremely clean, I do not see one pet hair. She took good care of my boy, making sure he settled in, fed, walked and had a fun time and I get photos and videos while he is away, giving me a peace of mind. I would recommend her.

Archie had a fab time at Matt and Mel’s! He stayed with them and their gorgeous dog, Bill, for a week whilst we were on holiday. We had regular updates and photos so knew Archie was safe, happy and cared for. Archie and Bill got on very well - I think Archie is missing Bills company already! We would definitely book Matt and Mel again. Thank you both for taking such good care of Archie.

This was the first time leaving Poppy with anyone other than family so we were a little apprehensive at first but after meeting Gil we knew she would look after Poppy just as we would. Gil sent us plenty of updates which we loved reading everyday. We would highly recommend Gil and will definitely be using her services again.

Michael and his wife were lovely. Made me feel really comfortable with leaving my 3 babies. As they only normally go to friends. We met up before so that they could meet him and they liked him straight away. He had other dogs there when mine arrived all looked very happy. They all got on and seemed happy.Michael sent lots of pics and videos through there stay showing how they were going. We will definitely be using Michael again and can’t recommend enough

Joanne is absolutely incredible. We are so grateful for the brilliant care she took for our kali (a large, excitable 1 and 1/2 year old German shepherd) whilst we were in Greece. From the very start Joanne was a true professional, arranging a meet up walk and home visit for us and kali to help us all to get to know herself and Oz (her lovely husband). She took the time to ask about kali’s routines and likes/dislikes at home, to make the settling in period as easy as possible. We had frequent contact with Joanne and the regular picture and videos updates throughout the holiday were also hugely appreciated. Kali clearly loved her new walks and chance for water play… Now she’s back, we think kali is missing her home from home! Would 100% recommend to anyone.

Upasna was brilliant with my toy poodle Coco for a three day stay! She treated him like her own, and I could tell he was very comfortable and happy in her home. He got lots of cuddles, playtime, and sunbathing, and Upasna sent me lots of lovely photos of him and was very welcoming! I would highly recommend her, and would trust her with my dog son any time in the future. Thanks Upasna!

I can barely put into words how grateful i am for the care provided by Lazhen. She was so friendly & accommodating and i immediately felt at ease, even during the booking process. She asked all the necessary questions and kept in contact with me the entire time she had Skylar during the weekend. She sent me loads of pics and gave me updates on how Skylar was doing, eating, drinking, playing and going on the walks. I’m so so happy and grateful. Skylar was well taken care of and we can’t wait to see you again.

Bailey had an absolutely wonderful stay with Douglas and Trina. We received regular updates, photos, and videos, which gave us complete peace of mind and showed just how much fun he was having. We're fairly certain he was a little sad to leave when it was time to come home! We wouldn't hesitate to book with Douglas again and would highly recommend him to anyone looking for excellent care. Bailey is already counting down the days until his next stay!

Leo loves staying with Sophie, she is so calm and caring with him and I don’t think I could ever find anyone better to leave Leo with whenever we need someone to look after him. Thank you Sophie for everything you do. We always appreciate your love and care, hope to book again soon! 🥰🐾

Our little lady Winnie had a fantastic time with Zoe. It was our first time leaving Winnie so we were a bit anxious. We received multiple daily pics and vids from Zoe as well as updates via WhatsApp. She took on board our special requirements to a tee. We will definitely be using Zoe again. Fantastic service.

Andrea was brilliant and so lovely and caring with Crumble. He is definitely missing all the attention. Thank you for keeping him cool in the heatwave, and for sending us regular updates whilst we went away on holiday. This was the first time leaving him with a sitter and he loved it! We will he using Andrea again for sure!

Hannah and her family were absolutely amazing with my boy. From the moment I met them, I felt at ease, and throughout his stay they made him feel so comfortable, happy, and loved. I had complete peace of mind knowing he was being looked after so well. Hannah was fantastic with communication, sending regular updates and photos that showed just how settled and content he was. It was clear he was being treated like one of the family. I’m so grateful for the care and attention they gave him, and I wouldn’t hesitate to leave him with Hannah again. I highly recommend her to anyone looking for a caring, reliable, and trustworthy dog sitter.

We are absolutely happy with Angela, Alex and Arnold (their little doggy) bacause they look after very well to Robbie and Monty, which are our dogs. We can feel they are genuine people and that give you calm and peace of mind while we are on holiday. We receive photos and videos constantly so we know our dogs are most of the time enjoying, this might be the reason why they get so excited as soon as they get their home. We recommend them 💯.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. On Rover:

- 88% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 95% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest vet. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorisation form for your regular vet. An authorisation form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
