“Jemma was a fabulous choice for our fur babies. She went above and beyond to make them feel at home and kept us updated with messages and pictures. I will definitely be using Jemma whenever we are going away as I know they will be happy and extremely well cared for in Jemma’s home.”

“Natalie was truly amazing. She was incredibly kind and very understanding throughout the entire time. She cared for my puppy as if it were her own, which gave me such peace of mind. Every day, she sent me photos and updates, keeping me reassured and informed about how my puppy was doing. When I opened Latte’s bag, I was touched to find a lovely card and a photo of my puppy, which was such a thoughtful and personal gesture. I will 100% be using Natalie again to look after my puppy and would highly recommend her to others.”

“Hannah is a trustworthy pet sitter. Her place is extremely clean, I do not see one pet hair. She took good care of my boy, making sure he settled in, fed, walked and had a fun time and I get photos and videos while he is away, giving me a peace of mind. I would recommend her.”

About: Hi there! We’re a friendly and reliable couple—Blake (working in finance) and Poppie (working in marketing)—and we’re both lucky enough to work from home full time. We’re lifelong animal lovers with over 20 years of hands-on experience caring for dogs and other pets. We’ve both grown up with family dogs and regularly care for the pets of friends and family. It’s something we genuinely enjoy—it brings us so much joy to have four-legged visitors in our home. While we don’t currently have a dog of our own (we’re planning to take that step when we move to a larger home soon), we treat every dog who stays with us like part of our family—with plenty of affection, playtime, love, and lots of tickles! Because we both work from home with flexible hours, your dog will have constant companionship throughout the day. We’re always around for cuddles, supervision, and play, so your pet will never be left alone for long periods. We take dogs out every couple of hours for toilet breaks, and they’ll enjoy longer walks during the day for exercise, stimulation, and fresh air—whatever suits their energy levels and personality. Whether your dog is active or prefers a more relaxed pace, we’ll adapt our day to make sure they feel happy and content. We live in a cosy, dog-friendly flat in a safe neighbourhood, surrounded by great walking routes and green spaces. Your pet’s safety, comfort, and happiness are always our top priority. We’ll make sure your dog feels right at home—whether that means curling up by our desks, playing with their favourite toy, or stretching their legs on a scenic walk. We’re also happy to provide regular updates and photos, so you can relax knowing your pup is in loving, capable hands. We can’t wait to welcome your furry friend into our home! 🐶
“Hong Ki has been great in taking the best care of my dog, providing frequent updates and making sure that he was having the best time. I would genuinely recommend booking with her as she is very attentive and kind 😊 a big Thank you as I also felt reassured every day with pictures and videos.”

“Isil was so responsive, sent plenty of pictures and kept us updated while we were away. She even took Eve to the vet when she spotted dermatitis on her hind leg; she went above and beyond to make sure Eve was comfortable and we were kept in the loop. I'd highly recommend her to anyone!”
“Bertie was well looked after & enjoyed his time with Harini over Christmas. We had regular updates which kept us informed so we could enjoy our holiday. We will definitely book her again.”

“Pak was a wonderful host for Lily. It was the first time we used a professional dog sitter let alone boarding, as she usually stays with friends and family when we have to travel without her, but was unable to on this occasion. I was anxious given it was the first time and Lily can be a bit needy if you're not used to her but Pak was very communicative and responsive, gave daily photo and video updates on how Lily was doing and put me completely at ease that she was in good hands while we were away. We had an initial meeting to ensure our dogs got on, I was able to see Lily was comfortable around Pak as well and him with her before the drop off date which was really helpful and I appreciated. Him and his partner have a lovely place to house dogs from what I could see, plenty of space in the front room and garden, both were very attentive. I would highly recommend and book with them again in the future.”

“Jeanett provided an exceptional dog-sitting experience for us, especially considering it was our first time leaving our furry friend. Her regular photo updates alleviated all our stress. Leo not only seemed happy but also genuinely comfortable in her care.”

“Ely and his family were a pleasue to deal with from the first email contact and my initial recon visit confirmed my thoughts, that this would be a good safe stopover for our MInature Schnauzer Baily. It was all as expected, excellent. I would not hesitate bringing Bailey back another time and recommending to friends”

“Daniel and Brian were amazing with my Rocket! I really appreciated the updates with photos and videos. I think Rocket enjoyed his vacation with them as he was happy to see them again. Will definitely consider them again. Thanks!”

About: Took care of family lab for 3 years, walking him 3 times a day in the local park. Occasionally house sit family and friends who have cats and dogs. I’m a PhD student living with my partner in our late 20s, currently working from home. Available during weekdays and weekends. We are able to take them on walks at least 2 times a day, and feed them according to their needs. Have access to a park 30 seconds away and 2 minutes away from the riverside. Currently do not have pets of our own but love taking care of our family dogs and cats.
About: I’ve had dogs since a child and currently have a dog of my own so I am very familiar with how to look after dogs to a high standard. I think dogs should be treated like family and they will always be welcome in my home alongside my dog Whiskey. Please note I have Pet Business Insurance which covers me for the following: - Public Liability - Accidents and Injuries to Animals - Loss of Keys I work from home full time and have a dog of my own so I am used to planning my days around a four legged ball of fluff. I am a total lover of dogs and always make time for walks, play and cuddles. I have a fenced in garden and a dog at home to keep yours company during the day. There are lots of parks local to me which I am very familiar with. My sofas have covers on them so dogs are welcome to snuggle and can roam anywhere in my house. I have a couple baby gates so there is no risk of them being able to run out the front door if I need to open the door. I also have a ring doorbell camera at the front of the house and one facing the garden to provide added security.
“Dodger was very well looked after with Upansa, he was very happy to see her and came home calm and relaxed, she played with him and walked him and send lovely pics and updates throughout the day. I would happily recommend.”

“Libor is a true blessing, my girl cat is so clingy and extremely funny when it comes to new people. However with libor maybe he’s the cat whisperer or something. Lula loved him so much I think she’s sad to be back with me lol. I’ll so happy she now has a new uncle :) I will be using him everytime. He sent in pictures & videos daily. He’s truly an amazing soul. THANK YOU!! <3”

“Excellent friendly care and looking after of Paco and Minnie last weekend. Maria ensured they settled in as soon as possible and were extremely relaxed during the stay- totally recommend! Thank you Maria.”

Peter and his family took wonderful care of my cat. They sent me daily updates along with lots of photos, which gave me great peace of mind while I was away. My cat felt completely at home with them and was surrounded by kindness and care throughout the stay. I wouldn't hesitate to leave my cat with them again in the future. Thank you so much to the whole family 😊😊!

Really glad to have found Ryah to care for our two small and young dogs for the weekend. She and her partner are very used to dogs and have a calm, caring manner. Thank you both so much for taking care of Ted and Olive and we really appreciated the photos and updates.

Eliana was amazing with Crumble! He was a little nervous initially, but she made him feel so comfortable and welcome. He had a great time playing with another dog she was sitting, Arlow, and it was lovely to see him so happy. She kept us updated throughout with regular messages and photos, which really put our minds at ease. We’d definitely book with Eliana again and highly recommend her!

Archie had a fab time at Matt and Mel’s! He stayed with them and their gorgeous dog, Bill, for a week whilst we were on holiday. We had regular updates and photos so knew Archie was safe, happy and cared for. Archie and Bill got on very well - I think Archie is missing Bills company already! We would definitely book Matt and Mel again. Thank you both for taking such good care of Archie.

This was the first time leaving Poppy with anyone other than family so we were a little apprehensive at first but after meeting Gil we knew she would look after Poppy just as we would. Gil sent us plenty of updates which we loved reading everyday. We would highly recommend Gil and will definitely be using her services again.

Joanne is absolutely incredible. We are so grateful for the brilliant care she took for our kali (a large, excitable 1 and 1/2 year old German shepherd) whilst we were in Greece. From the very start Joanne was a true professional, arranging a meet up walk and home visit for us and kali to help us all to get to know herself and Oz (her lovely husband). She took the time to ask about kali’s routines and likes/dislikes at home, to make the settling in period as easy as possible. We had frequent contact with Joanne and the regular picture and videos updates throughout the holiday were also hugely appreciated. Kali clearly loved her new walks and chance for water play… Now she’s back, we think kali is missing her home from home! Would 100% recommend to anyone.

Upasna was brilliant with my toy poodle Coco for a three day stay! She treated him like her own, and I could tell he was very comfortable and happy in her home. He got lots of cuddles, playtime, and sunbathing, and Upasna sent me lots of lovely photos of him and was very welcoming! I would highly recommend her, and would trust her with my dog son any time in the future. Thanks Upasna!

I can barely put into words how grateful i am for the care provided by Lazhen. She was so friendly & accommodating and i immediately felt at ease, even during the booking process. She asked all the necessary questions and kept in contact with me the entire time she had Skylar during the weekend. She sent me loads of pics and gave me updates on how Skylar was doing, eating, drinking, playing and going on the walks. I’m so so happy and grateful. Skylar was well taken care of and we can’t wait to see you again.

Bailey had an absolutely wonderful stay with Douglas and Trina. We received regular updates, photos, and videos, which gave us complete peace of mind and showed just how much fun he was having. We're fairly certain he was a little sad to leave when it was time to come home! We wouldn't hesitate to book with Douglas again and would highly recommend him to anyone looking for excellent care. Bailey is already counting down the days until his next stay!

Leo loves staying with Sophie, she is so calm and caring with him and I don’t think I could ever find anyone better to leave Leo with whenever we need someone to look after him. Thank you Sophie for everything you do. We always appreciate your love and care, hope to book again soon! 🥰🐾

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. On Rover:
- 85% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 88% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 95% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest vet. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorisation form for your regular vet. An authorisation form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
