“Amazing once again! Thank you for checking in on Pippa during our holiday (even though Pippa hid for most of the time!). Katie stayed and spent time with Pippa and made sure her water and food were topped up, litter tray was cleaned and even turned a few things off around our house that I forgot to switch off before leaving for the airport! I hope you’re free for our next holiday!! Thank you :)”

“Kirsten was amazing! We felt so comfortable leaving our pup with her & Muddy loved the company. Kirsten kept in contact through the visit and sent us lots of pictures to update us. We’re so grateful for the last min help. Thank you Kirsten :)”

“Would highly recommend Phoenix, she shows real love and passion for animals. My puppy was always happy after her visits and was tought a command within second day. The price she asks for is way too low for how she treats dogs!”

“Freya arranged a meet and greet the day before, which I really appreciated as one of my dogs can be quite excitable and I was feeling a bit worried. She was friendly, reassuring, and easy to communicate with, which helped put me at ease. Freya asked lots of good questions to help understand my dogs and clearly cares about their wellbeing. While more energetic dogs can be a bit of a handful, she remained calm when handling the situation. Overall, a positive experience, and I will definitely be booking again with Freya.”

About: I grew up with 4 cats, 20 birds and 1 huge dog. I have looked after small dogs like Cockapoos and big ones like Pomskys. Can provide basic training to pups and dogs. I work from home and my weekends are mostly free. This gives me enough time to look after dogs and other animals. I can take them on long walks either in the park behind our house, or around the lake in Danson Park. I have a fenced garden and our house backs onto a large open park. Dogs are supervised when in the garden and we have 2 pet cameras set up downstairs to keep an eye on our puppy 24/7.

“This was my first time leaving my cat with a sitter and I am glad I found Jessica. She is lovely and was great with my rescue cat, handling the cat’s initial wariness really well and sending great photos and updates.”

About: I have had pets in my life for as long as I remember. Growing up around animals was fantastic and I'm grateful I was able to do so. Currently my family home has 2 dogs, 2 cats, a bunny rabbit and a pond full of fish! I now live in a flat and can't keep pets but would love the chance to take care of others! I have also been cat sitting for a friend for the last couple of years and regularly stay at his while he goes on holiday. I’m currently on gardening leave so have plenty of spare time before starting a new role! Happy to stay in or drop in several times a day, whatever is needed! I’m always clean and discrete, if I were to visit your home or stay, you’d almost never know I was there (sometimes I will leave it cleaner than when I arrived). I will make sure water is changed, food is out, snacks are given and most of all playtime is enjoyed!
“I can't rate Emily highly enough. She took amazing care of Elsa whilst I was away. Emily has a gentle way with cats and a maybe a touch of the cat whisperer as even my nervous, wary of new people, hatea everyone, scardy cat warmed to Emily.”

“Christina, is a lovely woman who is very knowledgeable of dogs and their behaviour. She met my dog for a drop in during the day and my dog immediately took to her. You can tell she absolutely loves animals and they love her. Would recommend her to anyone that needs their pooch looking after or walked. Margot is looking forward to her drop ins in the future 😁❤️”

“Phoebe was amazing with our fur babies. From day one, they were eating out of her hands, literally AND figuratively! They are usually so shy with new people but they loved Phoebe! Throughout the week we got morning and evening updates with photos and videos. We could not have asked for more from Phoebe, and we’d recommend her to everyone!”

About: I’ve grown up with dogs, never having known life without one! I’ve personally owned labradors and Great Danes, but also have experience with other dogs such as greyhounds and spaniels, along with a variety of cats! Additionally, I’ve had a host of other pets, including lizards, chickens, horses, and rabbits, just to name a few! I love animals of all shapes and sizes! Some of my dogs have been puppies, and some I have rehomed when they were in older age. Therefore, I have experience with dogs who may be more nervous or unsure. We’ve kept our dogs for their whole lives, and so I am very well equipped to care for the youngest pups to the oldest dogs! Alongside this, I have completed work experience placements with a canine physiotherapist, and have had hands on experience with dogs in need of extra special attention and support. I enjoyed seeing dogs thrive under this care. Every dog deserves love, and I can promise I can provide that by the bucketful. I will treat your dog as my own, and I can ensure your best friend will be in safe hands. I am a full time student, and so over the summer I have no regular commitments, and therefore I am free at almost any day and time. I can very easily drive, take public transport, or cycle to your home in order to provide service. Due to being a student, I am available for durations and times that many other individuals may struggle to provide. I will also be able to adapt very easily to any need to change schedules, or fit in with your own plans. First and foremost, I believe that it is crucial that all pets feel comfortable safe and happy when in a new situation. I am happy to do free introduction sessions, where you are present, so that your fur baby can get used to me as a new presence, and you can ensure that you feel comfortable with me caring for your pet, whilst also ensuring you have provided all information that I may need. I am used to anxious and shy pets, and so this does not phase me, and I understand that different pets may have different requirements or need different things from me as a caregiver. I will ensure that your pets comfort is always my utmost priority.
“James has been great with my kitties, he was very flexible with accommodating a last minute request, was able to visit at the agreed times, and has spent plenty of time with both of them. My cats are shy of people they do not know, and James managed to navigate that with a lot of patience and care. Highly recommend!”

About: I own a 4 year old street dog who didn't even know his name when we adopted him, with numerous serious behavioural problems. However now with a lot of training, patience and kindess I have managed to transform into a cuddly, loving pet who I wouldn't replace for the world. I have also helped a clients dog go from an extreme ball of nervousness and anxiety that wouldn't want to leave the garden into running around off lead in the park happy as anything. This has made me extremely comfortable and confident around animals of all varties, so no matter what problems/quirks your pet(s) might have, im certain I'll be able to help and make sure all their needs are met! Taking care of pets is my number 1 prioirty and will always fit my day around being able to do it as much as possible, without dropping the quality of the care that I provide. I can work from 8am to 8:30pm every Monday-Thursday for any dog walking or dog/cat sitting needs. I will always make sure to ask as many questions as needed to ensure that I fully understand what needs your pets has, especially if they have any quirks or extra help required and will follow it to the exact requirements. My goal is for you to be completley stress free when your pet is in my hands so you can relax and not have to worry at all!

“Hayley did a fantastic job with Eden even in the hot weather she took great care of him. Great communication and daily updates and even helped with watering our plants as well. Really recommend Hayley - lovely person and a great cat sitter!”

About: I used to run my own Dog sitting company called Ailish’s Home for Dogs for 2 years looking after a number of dog breeds. I have also owned a number of different cats and dogs over the last 10 years. I’ve also had a natural affinity for our four-legged friends ever since I was small! Thanks to Working From Home, I can cater to your dog's needs I work for a flexible company that allows me to work from home and I'm able to work hours when we see fit so I can ensure I'm prepared to look after your dogs whenever needed! Long walks, lots of hugs and scratch’s, the occasional treat if they’ve been good and as much tug of war as they want. Obviously I understand all dogs are different so if all your dog wants is to sit and sunbathe all day I’m more then happy just to watch over them as they just relax and take in their surroundings!

Martina was absolutely wonderful with my cat, Rumple , and so kind towards me too. Rumple is a bit shy with new people but he warmed up to Martina by the time of the second encounter. Martina made sure that Rumple is well looked after, not only by giving him food, but also by playing with Rumple and giving him plenty of attention. This was the first time I left my cat at home alone, and Martina made me feel so reassured by keeping me posted regarding the news on Rumple. I am very happy that I’ve come across Martina as a cat sitter and I warmly recommend her to anyone who need someone so caring with pets to cat sit. 🙂

Shawana was amazing with our two cats! She communicated very well with me while we were away so we didn't have to worry about our kitties! She took great care of them, changing water daily, giving wet food and cleaning litters. She even broomed the floors from the litter ❤️ Our cats love her too, even Mango who is usually a bit scared and shy. We will definitely rebook her in the future! Thank you Shawana ☺️

What can I say! Id give more stars if I could! Carmel was absolutely amazing from start to finish she went above and beyond in caring for my fur baby. It was the first time we've had to leave him since he turned up and chose us in December 25. Carmel sent photos and videos daily and Reggie loved the fuss and attention she gave him. I would highly recommend using Carmel if you want the peace of mind that your little one is going to be truly looked after and loved whilst your away.

I can not fault Freya She looked after Bertie our cat and was so accommodating despite all the changes to times I had to make to times due to upheaval with a new kitchen being fitting She kept us up to date with photos and was really fast at replying Will definitely be asking Freya to look after Bertie again 😊

Our pet sitter did an excellent job looking after our cat, especially during the recent extreme hot weather. She was reliable, caring, and made sure our cat stayed comfortable and well cared for despite the challenging conditions. We really appreciated the regular updates, which gave us peace of mind while we were away. It’s clear that she genuinely cares about animals, and we wouldn’t hesitate to book her again. Highly recommended!

Claire was amazing and looked after our cat with so much care, kindness and attention. The daily videos Claire sent were brilliant and so reassuring- we looked forward to getting them. I would highly recommend Claire and will definitely book her excellent services again.

Jennie was brilliant looking after our cat Winnie. Thanks so much. She is very professional, and we loved the little reports and photos every day. Winnie clearly loved Jennie and was making biscuits on her lap by the second day. It was really reassuring to know Winnie was in good hands whilst we were away.

Philippa looked after Maya and Oreo for a week whilst we were on holiday. This was our first time leaving Oreo at home and it was a huge relief knowing both cats were in such safe hands. We really appreciated Philippa's calm, friendly and professional approach, her understanding of the cats' different personalities and needs, and the daily updates to reassure us all was well. Thanks so much Philippa and hope to book with you again :)

Rach was great with our cats. We have 3 cats who don’t usually like new people, on different meal schedules, but they liked Rach almost instantly. We really appreciated all the daily updates and pictures/videos, and knew that they were being well looked after. Will definitely be using Rach again.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
