“Lynne is amazing with Barney. She asked if there was anything special i would like her to do with him. i think she is doing everything perfectly with him. i love the photos and regular updates. Lynne will be looking after Barney for the foreseeable future. thank you Lynne for taking such amazing care with our precious boy”

“Phoebe was amazing with our fur babies. From day one, they were eating out of her hands, literally AND figuratively! They are usually so shy with new people but they loved Phoebe! Throughout the week we got morning and evening updates with photos and videos. We could not have asked for more from Phoebe, and we’d recommend her to everyone!”

“I can't rate Emily highly enough. She took amazing care of Elsa whilst I was away. Emily has a gentle way with cats and a maybe a touch of the cat whisperer as even my nervous, wary of new people, hatea everyone, scardy cat warmed to Emily.”

About: Whilst I have not actually shared my home with a dog I have many friends and family members that do. I love dogs very much! I would welcome the prospect of caring for your loved companion animal either in your home or out for dog walks. Hi, I’m Lisa, and I’m based in Welling. I’m reliable, friendly and love spending time outdoors, so dog walking is a great fit for me. I’ve spent many years working in a school environment where being trustworthy, organised and caring was essential every day. I’ll treat your dog as if they were my own, making sure they get a safe, enjoyable walk tailored to their needs. I’m happy to provide photo updates during walks, stick to your dog’s usual routine, and give plenty of attention and care. Whether your dog enjoys a brisk walk or a slower sniff around the park, I’m happy to adapt to what suits them best. I have recently retired and I am looking to do something worthwhile with my time helping others and fulfilling an ambition to care for animals and help people. My availability is flexible. I have two cats at home so I would be available for visiting and playtime with pets in their own home or for dog walking.
About: I grew up with 4 cats, 20 birds and 1 huge dog. I have looked after small dogs like Cockapoos and big ones like Pomskys. Can provide basic training to pups and dogs. I work from home and my weekends are mostly free. This gives me enough time to look after dogs and other animals. I can take them on long walks either in the park behind our house, or around the lake in Danson Park. I have a fenced garden and our house backs onto a large open park. Dogs are supervised when in the garden and we have 2 pet cameras set up downstairs to keep an eye on our puppy 24/7.

“Jessica was absolutely wonderful with our cat Felemon. She cared for him with such attentiveness, warmth, and love, and her reliability gave us complete peace of mind while we were away. The regular photos and videos helped us feel connected to him and reassured us that he was happy and well cared for. The beautiful printed photo was such a thoughtful and touching surprise. We’re truly grateful for everything Jessica did and highly recommend her!”

“Phoenix has been great! She helped us out at short notice and we felt very reassured knowing Luca was being looked after by her. All communication was timely, the photos and updates she sent were brilliant, and Luca really enjoyed his walks with her. We’d love to use her again and would recommend her to others.”

About: I own a 4 year old street dog who didn't even know his name when we adopted him, with numerous serious behavioural problems. However now with a lot of training, patience and kindess I have managed to transform into a cuddly, loving pet who I wouldn't replace for the world. I have also helped a clients dog go from an extreme ball of nervousness and anxiety that wouldn't want to leave the garden into running around off lead in the park happy as anything. This has made me extremely comfortable and confident around animals of all varties, so no matter what problems/quirks your pet(s) might have, im certain I'll be able to help and make sure all their needs are met! Taking care of pets is my number 1 prioirty and will always fit my day around being able to do it as much as possible, without dropping the quality of the care that I provide. I can work from 8am to 8:30pm every Monday-Thursday for any dog walking or dog/cat sitting needs. I will always make sure to ask as many questions as needed to ensure that I fully understand what needs your pets has, especially if they have any quirks or extra help required and will follow it to the exact requirements. My goal is for you to be completley stress free when your pet is in my hands so you can relax and not have to worry at all!
“Freya arranged a meet and greet the day before, which I really appreciated as one of my dogs can be quite excitable and I was feeling a bit worried. She was friendly, reassuring, and easy to communicate with, which helped put me at ease. Freya asked lots of good questions to help understand my dogs and clearly cares about their wellbeing. While more energetic dogs can be a bit of a handful, she remained calm when handling the situation. Overall, a positive experience, and I will definitely be booking again with Freya.”

About: I have over 5 years of experience working with both dogs and cats as a dog walker and pet carer. I also have a Bachelor of Science in Animal Management and Zoology, giving me a strong understanding of animal behaviour, welfare, and individual needs. Through my qualifications I have worked with dogs and cats of all ages, breeds, sizes, and temperaments, including young, senior, and disabled animals. I’m confident adapting my care to suit each pet, whether they need an energetic walk, gentle senior care, support with training and socialisation, or simply some companionship. Pet care is a major part of my week being surrounded by dogs and cats daily offering walks and other creative activities, so I have flexible availability throughout the week. Any pet I'm caring for will be a priority, and I'm able to dedicate plenty of time to their walks, care, companionship, and individual routines For boarding and house sitting, I care for pets in their own home rather than housing them at mine, allowing them to stay in a familiar and comfortable environment. Before any booking, owners complete a form providing important information such as their pet's routine, specific needs, any health concerns, and their local vet details. I follow all instructions provided by the owner carefully and make sure each pet receives the individual care and attention they need.

“Sarah was absolutely fantastic looking after Savannah, Harlow and our four kittens while we were away. She took such great care of them and kept us reassured that everyone was happy and well. She even looked after Lensko, our lizard, which was really thoughtful and very much appreciated. It’s clear that Sarah genuinely cares about animals, and we felt completely comfortable knowing they were all in her hands. We came home to happy, well-looked-after pets. We would definitely recommend Sarah and wouldn’t hesitate to ask her to look after them again. Thank you so much!”

About: Hi! I’m a Sidcup based dog lover who enjoys spending time outdoors and caring for animals. I have experience looking after dogs of different temperaments, including those who are energetic, a little anxious, or just love a good long walk. I understand how important it is to trust someone with your pet, so I always aim to create a calm, safe, and happy environment for them. I walk an average of 15k steps daily, so your dog will get plenty of exercise, fresh air, and attention. Whether it’s a relaxed stroll or a more active walk, I tailor it to your dog’s needs. I’m reliable, attentive, and will keep you updated with photos and messages so you always feel reassured. I’d love to meet your dog and make sure they’re well cared for while you’re busy! Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine as I already walk regularly each day and enjoy spending time outdoors. I have a flexible schedule around my work, which allows me to be available for morning, lunchtime, and evening walks, as well as drop-in visits. I’m also available on weekends and can accommodate regular bookings or last-minute requests where possible. I prioritise being reliable and consistent, so pet care is something I intentionally plan into my week rather than fitting it in last minute. I always try to keep pets as comfortable and relaxed as possible by sticking closely to their usual routine. In a pet owner’s home, I follow any instructions carefully whether that’s feeding schedules, walk preferences, medication, or just the little things your pet is used to. For walks, I make sure dogs get the right level of exercise depending on their energy and personality, and I always keep them safe and supervised. For cats and other pets, I take a calmer approach, giving them space while still making sure they’re well cared for, fed, and have a clean environment. If I’m caring for pets in my own home, I create a calm, safe space where they can settle in comfortably and feel at ease. I keep things clean, secure, and give them plenty of attention and reassurance. I also keep owners updated with messages and photos, so you always know how your pet is doing and can feel completely at ease while you’re away.
“Kirsten was amazing! We felt so comfortable leaving our pup with her & Muddy loved the company. Kirsten kept in contact through the visit and sent us lots of pictures to update us. We’re so grateful for the last min help. Thank you Kirsten :)”

Sacha and Gina have been amazing, as usual. They took great care of our two cats, were very responsive and gave us the peace of mind that our cats were being well taken care of while we were on holiday. Thank you again for looking after them and keeping them company ❤️

Alisha is wonderful! Easy, clear and friendly communication from the moment I enquired about availability and all the way through the visits. She sent me great, thorough updates daily and it was quickly apparent how much Romeo and her bonded. It was lovely and reassuring to get photos and videos, as well as updates on his general wellbeing given his specific medications and needs. I thoroughly recommend Alisha's services and I am sure Romeo will be looking forward to seeing her again! :)

Martina looked after our two cats whilst we were away for a week. She did an amazing job; the cats had very different needs, but she managed them very well. Martina communicated daily reports clearly and in detail, which reassured my daughters. We also had a last-minute flight change, and she rescheduled with no trouble. Thank you for all, and we hope to see you again soon.

Jessica was absolutely wonderful with our cat Felemon. She cared for him with such attentiveness, warmth, and love, and her reliability gave us complete peace of mind while we were away. Carys looked after our 4 cats for a week, visiting twice a day. One of my cats has health issues, requiring a number of daily medications and another is on a specialised diet which Carys managed competently including cleaning out the 3 litter trays and cleaning up any accidents. More importantly Carys genuenally cared for the cats, spending time getting to know them and petting them. Carys sent daily updates including photos and videos which eliviated our anxieties, having never used such a service before. We will definitely be using Carys again in the future and highly recommend her. We were very impressed.

Georgia was absolutely amazing. I cannot emphasise enough how kind, warm and caring she is. I was quite nervous to leave Artie - we usually rely on family members to care for her when we’re away but were going to our daughter’s wedding so everyone was there - Georgia completely eased any concerns. Artie adored her and was taken such good care of. She plays, grooms, cuddles and feeds your cat - as though they are her own. I can’t thank her enough and will absolutely use Georgia again for any upcoming holidays - thank you so much Georgia you are an absolute star !

We needed to book a cat sitter urgently due to an unexpected 3-day trip, and Jenna responded promptly and was incredibly helpful throughout the process. She took great care of our cat, kept us updated with regular messages and photos, which gave us real peace of mind while we were away. We would definitely book with Jenna again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable and caring cat sitter!
Shawana was amazing with our two cats! She communicated very well with me while we were away so we didn't have to worry about our kitties! She took great care of them, changing water daily, giving wet food and cleaning litters. She even broomed the floors from the litter ❤️ Our cats love her too, even Mango who is usually a bit scared and shy. We will definitely rebook her in the future! Thank you Shawana ☺️

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
