Freya arranged a meet and greet the day before, which I really appreciated as one of my dogs can be quite excitable and I was feeling a bit worried. She was friendly, reassuring, and easy to communicate with, which helped put me at ease. Freya asked lots of good questions to help understand my dogs and clearly cares about their wellbeing. While more energetic dogs can be a bit of a handful, she remained calm when handling the situation. Overall, a positive experience, and I will definitely be booking again with Freya.

Phoenix has been great! She helped us out at short notice and we felt very reassured knowing Luca was being looked after by her. All communication was timely, the photos and updates she sent were brilliant, and Luca really enjoyed his walks with her. We’d love to use her again and would recommend her to others.

Jessica has been amazing with my fur ball Kiki, timely visits and flexible to our needs over 3 days. I was so happy that I didn’t end up putting her in a cattery, the arrangement worked perfectly. On returning home, I had the most beautiful photo of Kiki and personal note from Jessica. I would recommend Jessica to anyone, highly professional and made my visit away anxious free. Thanks you again until the next booking xxx

About: I grew up with 4 cats, 20 birds and 1 huge dog. I have looked after small dogs like Cockapoos and big ones like Pomskys. Can provide basic training to pups and dogs. I work from home and my weekends are mostly free. This gives me enough time to look after dogs and other animals. I can take them on long walks either in the park behind our house, or around the lake in Danson Park. I have a fenced garden and our house backs onto a large open park. Dogs are supervised when in the garden and we have 2 pet cameras set up downstairs to keep an eye on our puppy 24/7.

About: I have had pets in my life for as long as I remember. Growing up around animals was fantastic and I'm grateful I was able to do so. Currently my family home has 2 dogs, 2 cats, a bunny rabbit and a pond full of fish! I now live in a flat and can't keep pets but would love the chance to take care of others! I have also been cat sitting for a friend for the last couple of years and regularly stay at his while he goes on holiday. I’m currently on gardening leave so have plenty of spare time before starting a new role! Happy to stay in or drop in several times a day, whatever is needed! I’m always clean and discrete, if I were to visit your home or stay, you’d almost never know I was there (sometimes I will leave it cleaner than when I arrived). I will make sure water is changed, food is out, snacks are given and most of all playtime is enjoyed!

About: Hey there. My name is Sophie. I’m am well experienced in dog sitting and care for exotic animals, and have met some wonderful people and pets along the way. My main services are daycare and boarding in my own home but I can provide training at a cost. I have worked as a vet tech previously, so I have a medical background and professional experience . I’ve also worked previously for a kennels and cattery in sheerness. Specialising in bully breeds, all breeds are welcome and catered for. I am also DBS checked and have a clean record. Your pets come first! , I work from home part time so my schedule is free to spoil your pets with time, attention, lots of play and exercise. I have a fenced garden which is about 60 ft long with natural grass and foliage. I have baby-gates that cover the stairs in my home to prevent any accidents. Your dog will be watched at all times. I have a basket of toys that your pet is welcome to play with whilst staying with us. I have my own very friendly 2 year old Labrador at home who accompanies me on walks but any dog that is incompatible I will leave him at home or walk them separately. All dogs who board must be vaccinated and flead/wormed recently to keep everyone safe and happy who is in my care.

About: From a very young age, dogs have been part of my life. My family became part of the guide dog community and through the experience of training several puppies I gained the knowledge of working with amazing dogs who went on to help people and raise future guide dogs prospects! I am currently the owner of an 9 year old Rescue Golden Retriever. He is such an amazing dog and I adore him. Every day I analyze his behavior, making sure he is comfortable, dynamically sound, and has time to exercise outside the home to meet his psychological and physiological needs. When caring for someone else's dog, I treat them with respect and give them space if necessary as well as assess their behavior constantly, making sure they are content and happy with the time spent with me. We can discuss any requirements needed for the walk, or any training that I should encorporate with them. Photos and videos will be provided along with frequent updates throughout our walk! We live local to many of England's well known parks: Danson, Knolle, Lullingstone & Peckham Park. These terrains allow dogs plenty of mental stimulation and exercise. For returning dogs we will vary this, as there are local woods and other lovely areas, as well as quiet fields for those who are more temperamental and love space. I am working as a part of a veterinary specialist team with my own business and treatments - if you would like to see my business and what I get up to feel free to check out .Therapeutic massages can be integrated at an extra cost 😊

Phoebe was amazing with our fur babies. From day one, they were eating out of her hands, literally AND figuratively! They are usually so shy with new people but they loved Phoebe! Throughout the week we got morning and evening updates with photos and videos. We could not have asked for more from Phoebe, and we’d recommend her to everyone!

Chloe looked after Shaun with very little notice and was incredibly flexible and accommodating to make things work for Shaun. Shaun, whilst being cute and friendly, can be a little complicated with his anxieties and Chloe took to the time ask questions and understand his needs. I would absolutely book Chloe’s services again! I have no question in my mind that Shaun was well looked after!

I’m working from home on a Monday and Friday. We are also available on weekends and for overnights. We both go on morning and evening walks to get steps in! About: I’ve grown up with dogs in my family and love looking after them for family and friends. My experience is mainly with small to medium dogs but I’ve also looked after friends dogs before who are bigger (Labrador size). My family have also had rescue dogs so I have experience with dogs who are a bit more nervous or shy. I’m 29 years old, work in the public sector and I currently work full time but I work from home at least two/three days a week. I’m active and like going out for a long walk in my lunch break, before work or after work. My job is also flexible so I can take breaks as and when I need to. I have a fenced garden and do let dogs sit on the furniture (my dogs used to have blankets they would sit on). Always access to fresh water and treats (depending on the owners preference). Lots of cuddles too throughout the day!

About: I’ve been around animals since I was little and have years of hands-on experience caring for pets. I’ve regularly looked after neighbors’, family members’, and friends’ animals, helping with feeding, walking, playtime, and basic care. I currently own a Cane Corso, so I’m very comfortable with large, strong breeds. I’m patient, attentive, and always focused on keeping pets safe, happy, and well cared for. Im currently a university student with plenty of time available. I have worked in hospitality for the past 4 years and after adopting my sweet boy I decided to spend more time at home with him. I am a true animal lover looking to play and care for our friends and offer a comfortable and safe place for them to be while you are away. I have lots of previous experience privately and always own a pet, even parrots, rabbits, hamsters and of course dogs! I have a fenced garden were the dogs can play and spend time in, supervised always. Inside I have pet cameras so they are fully safe and supervised 24/7. Plenty of toys and allowed on all the furniture in the house.

Our pet sitter did an excellent job looking after our cat, especially during the recent extreme hot weather. She was reliable, caring, and made sure our cat stayed comfortable and well cared for despite the challenging conditions. We really appreciated the regular updates, which gave us peace of mind while we were away. It’s clear that she genuinely cares about animals, and we wouldn’t hesitate to book her again. Highly recommended!

It was the first time I'd worked with anyone to drop-in on my cat Missi and Leigh-Ann was really excellent. She knew exactly how to treat my very shy old lady cat and after day 3, they had become very good friends and Missi was demanding fuss (which is normal for her!) She was accommodating and flexible to my requests even looking after my plants during the very hot weather! Everything went just as planned, I had lovely daily updates and came back to a very happy cat. I will definitely be rebooking!

Alisha was absolutely amazing with both of my cats while I was away for work. One of my cats, Luchi, has special needs and requires a quite demanding daily routine, including bladder expression and other care, so leaving her with someone is never easy for me. From the very beginning, Alisha was patient, calm, caring and incredibly understanding. She took the time to learn everything properly and treated both cats with so much love and respect. She even managed to make my very shy cat Filipo feel comfortable, which honestly says a lot! Throughout my trip I felt completely reassured knowing they were in such good hands. Coming home to two relaxed, happy cats was the best feeling. I honestly cannot recommend Alisha enough and I will definitely book with her again in the future. Thank you so much for taking such wonderful care of my little family 💜

The personalised, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.

Yes, absolutely! Many sitters on Rover are experienced in caring for multiple pets simultaneously, whether you have a pack of dogs, a clowder of cats, or a mix of both.

Look for sitters who highlight multi-pet expertise or check for verified reviews from other Bexley pet parents with similar pet households.

Every sitter on Rover must pass an identity verification before they can list their services. An identity verification confirms that the sitter is who they say they are based on their documents.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page .

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Bexley choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a key safe or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. On Rover:

  • 89% of sitters can help with special care needs
  • 88% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 97% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a key safe. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalised codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.

If you live in a flat, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or lift etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

Emergency support is available by phone or email in English, French, German, and Spanish from Mon-Sat 9am to 6pm. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a qualified vet or offer other resources to help.

If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s booking protection means Rover Support will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
