“We have been using Jim for about a year as our regular dog walker and would encourage anyone looking for a reliable walker to have a look at his profile. Jim has also helped us with puppy visits with our recent new addition and has cared for our cat whilst we’ve been on holiday too. Highly recommended 👍👍”

About: I've been a pet owner and lover my entire life, from gerbils and hamsters to multiple family dogs. Working as a full time home-based creative freelancer, I am able to provide significant quality time for long walks or play time on home visits. Based near Plumstead Common, I love taking advantage of the lovely parks and community areas to exercise my own pup and others. Offering drop in check ups, dog walking, and day care options, I am directly adjacent to multiple green spaces, including enclosed dog park areas. Depending on your dog's requirements, they will get group playtime with other known and well-socialised pups, or one-on-one playtime with toys or on long leads to ensure they get to use their energy up safely. I will also incorporate your training requirements (commands or other behaviour cues) to make sure your dog's routine is maintained and consistent. I have experience with energetic puppies in training to senior dogs who need to move at their own pace but still need attention and exercise. Any questions or special needs, just let me know! I am a home-based creative worker, so I have a lot of freedom to adjust my schedule to help with your pup. I'm available for home visits or walks after 11am in the Plumstead area, and will ensure your fur friend gets a lot of quality time in the local parks and green spaces. I have my own dog so pet care is already built into my daily routines, including multiple walks and playtime at the local dog park. I'm highly conscientious and respectful of your home and spaces. I'm also a calm, confident dog person who is good with breeds of all sizes. If you would like your dog to socialise with other pups, I have a small, super friendly whippet/terrier cross who is very well trained and calm with other dogs, but loves to play. If you want your pup to have one-on-one time with their walker, they will get it. My home has a large fenced garden, in case urgent alternative location sitting is needed.

About: I’ve been around animals my whole life - I grew up with a British Shorthair from age 5, and have also had a parrot, hamster, and rabbit over the years. More recently I’ve been the go-to person for friends’ cats (including Maine Coons, Ragdolls) and small dogs when they’re away. I work in finance and am mostly remote, so your pet gets consistent company and attention throughout the day rather than being left alone. I’m in a spacious flat with no other pets or children - calm, clean, and easy to settle into. I’m also an active runner, so if you have an energetic dog, they’ll be well exercised. I provide regular photo and video updates so you can have peace of mind while you’re away. Special rates are available for longer stays. For boarding, I only accept multiple pets when they come from the same household. I work mostly remotely, so your pet gets consistent company throughout the day. I can be quite flexible around pick-ups and drop-offs - just reach out! I live in a spacious, tidy flat with a balcony that stays closed during visits. No kids, no other pets. Your pets are welcome on the sofa - make yourself at home! I do have stainless steel bowls, water fountain, cat litter box and scratching post available but you’re welcome to bring your own if preferred!

“Denisa has poppped in to help with my dog Skye on a number of occasions now and I’ve been really pleased. She has communicated really well and from the photos Skye seems to be loving her company. This is the first time I have had to leave Skye with anyone other than family and I was worried but Denisa has really put my mind at rest.”

About: I have been caring for various dogs on the Rover app for over a year now. Me and my partner (Sham) have cared for all sorts of breeds ranging from chihuahuas to American Akitas! I take care of my family dog whenever my family requires. I have grown up with dogs since I was about 3 years old as my mum has a huge love for them as well. I grew up with a German Shepherd and a Dachshund. I am more than happy to go for walks as I do like to have any excuse to be active. I used to work from home mostly but have recently changed jobs and required to go to office more frequently. I can adjust my days and my partner also often steps in to provide care during the week when I’m not home. I have a communal outside area where I can take your pet for some outside time. There are a couple parks close-by. One of which is about a 10-15 minute walk away from me and is a great place to have a walk. I live in a flat that has two bedrooms and quite a large space in the hall and living area. We have taken care of a German Shepherd before and she seemed quite happy with the space.
About: I've looked after my friend's dog a lot, she is a very reactive rescue dog and took a while to gain and then build trust. It's important to read pet's moods and behaviours and learn their idiosyncrasies so you can give them the best care. I work from home 2x days a week- but these are flexible as to which days. My job isn't demanding as I am in charge of my own time so would have time for lots of cuddles and 3x walks a day. This would encourage me to get out and about and lots of exercise for your pet! Can look after overnight or late nights with notice. If its doggy day care you are after- i can be flexible, happy to negotiate to suite your needs. I live alone in a spacious flat, no pets, so dogs who prefer being with humans would be very welcome. My flat is situated on the 2nd floor but with three walks hopefully they would be tuckered out! They are free to roam around all of the flat and have plenty of blankets for them to snuggle up on.

About: I have grown up around dogs and since moving to London have really felt the need for a pup to get me out the flat more and bring me some daily joy! I have previously looked after a large poodle and have had family dogs of westies, jack russells and dachshunds- I love all dogs of any size and I just would love to bring back the joy of a dog in my life. I currently work 80% from home so have lots of time to take dogs out for long walks or to have lots of play and relaxing time.I will spoil the pooch like it’s my own and also I have use of a car so I can take the dogs on longer more adventurous walks! I have a flat with a balcony but the doors are always shut and would be especially when animals here. I have multiple parks in a 10 minute walking distance as well as many dogs living near us with can provide great socialisation!

“A hundred times thank you, Ola, for looking after our beloved cat! This was the first time we had to leave Fibi for such a long period, and we were quite nervous about it. But Ola took care of everything — not only did she look after Fibi with such care and affection, but through her daily updates, we genuinely felt that Fibi was in safe and loving hands. Ola’s love for animals shines through in everything she does, even in the way she speaks about them. We highly recommend her, and without any hesitation, we’ll book her again — and again — and again!”

Denisa has poppped in to help with my dog Skye on a number of occasions now and I’ve been really pleased. She has communicated really well and from the photos Skye seems to be loving her company. This is the first time I have had to leave Skye with anyone other than family and I was worried but Denisa has really put my mind at rest.

We have been using Sharmila and Marina’s service for almost a year now and we could not be happier! Sharmila helped us keeping our cats safe during the heatweave. She’s been so nice and went even beyond her planned 30 mins visits. Would recommend to anyone! Thank you again 🥹

Shawana was amazing with our two cats! She communicated very well with me while we were away so we didn't have to worry about our kitties! She took great care of them, changing water daily, giving wet food and cleaning litters. She even broomed the floors from the litter ❤️ Our cats love her too, even Mango who is usually a bit scared and shy. We will definitely rebook her in the future! Thank you Shawana ☺️

Abby was absolutely amazing! My cat was so happy with her, and I could tell she was really comfortable and well looked after. Abby even managed to teach her a few tricks! Abby went above and beyond throughout the whole stay, kept me updated, and made everything completely stress-free. I wouldn't hesitate to book with Abby again and can't recommend her highly enough!
Shuk Han, was brilliant at looking after my cat Zac, he was a bit stand offish when she 1st came round, but by the end of the week, he was greeting her as soon as she visited. This was the 1st time using a cat sitter, so was a little worried having a stranger into my home, but she was great and reassuring, she gave me plenty of updates and photos, every visit, if your looking for a reliable, friendly cat sitter, please give Shuk Han a chance, she was brilliant. 😊

What can I say! Id give more stars if I could! Carmel was absolutely amazing from start to finish she went above and beyond in caring for my fur baby. It was the first time we've had to leave him since he turned up and chose us in December 25. Carmel sent photos and videos daily and Reggie loved the fuss and attention she gave him. I would highly recommend using Carmel if you want the peace of mind that your little one is going to be truly looked after and loved whilst your away.

Harriet is such a star! My dog is very sentimental, she doesn’t like everyone to take her for walks especially particularly about letting the harness on her. I had to emergency travel so I had no choice but ask for help and pray that the person would be able to help and make a bond with Lady in such a short amount of time. I was super lucky I found Harriet, Lady loved her from the first second and seeing that I was able to focus on my family and I was able to focus on my family when they needed me. Forever grateful for her

Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a key safe. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalised codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in a flat, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or lift etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy.
