“Stela and Tim were very accommodating of our fairly last minute request for daycare for our dog, Luna. Stela suggested a meet and greet beforehand and we met up in the park so everyone could get acquainted. Stela and Tim kindly kept us updated with messages, photos and videos throughout the day and we were very reassured to see Luna looking relaxed and happy. It’s obvious that Stela and Tim are very experienced at looking after dogs and we felt very comfortable leaving Luna in their care. Would highly recommend.”

About: I have been dogsitting for multiple friends, their dogs love staying with me and my wife. My wife Heather Rutherford, who is also on this platform has extensive experience of living with pets and pet sitting. I work from home 3 days a week, where I can provide everything a dog may need during the day (playtime, walks, lots of attention and all basic needs). I have a fenced yard and live nearby two parks. I'll make sure the dog has everything it needs and take good care of them.
“I could not be happier with both my and Kuma’s experience with Daniel and Brian! They are absolutely the sweetest people, and their maltipoo Ashford is very friendly and good with other dogs and people. It was the perfect match for my dog Kuma, who was previously attacked by a dog. Kuma was so happy in their place and felt very comfortable, he was even trying to invite me inside by running back in their home when I came to pick him up so he clearly didn’t want to leave! Daniel and Brian were extremely pleasant and kind, and were very easy to talk to. They made me feel completely at ease, and they had excellent communication with me throughout. I received lots of cute pictures of Kuma on a walk, playing with Ashford, and enjoying their place. We will be back soon, and I’m so thankful to have found Daniel and Brian to look after Kuma while I’m away.”

“Kay was so fantastic with Obi, very responsive and some lovely updates/photos always shared. Our pup comes back so happy and full of beans so we know he just has the best time and is well cared for 😊”

“Amazing lady 💯 Jeanette is a lovely lady. She welcomed my boy with all his craziness. She was quick to respond to my last minute request, she was patient and very polite to us both, kept me in the loop with pictures and videos. He didn’t want to leave her. Thank you Jeanette. Xx”

“Ed was a pleasure to communicate with with and flexible when I needed to change the time. He has a nice big house and garden which I could tell our dog enjoyed playing in. Ed sent us a picture update, which was a nice touch. Will use again.”

About: I’ve been around animals my whole life - I grew up with a British Shorthair from age 5, and have also had a parrot, hamster, and rabbit over the years. More recently I’ve been the go-to person for friends’ cats (including Maine Coons, Ragdolls) and small dogs when they’re away. I work in finance and am mostly remote, so your pet gets consistent company and attention throughout the day rather than being left alone. I’m in a spacious flat with no other pets or children - calm, clean, and easy to settle into. I’m also an active runner, so if you have an energetic dog, they’ll be well exercised. I provide regular photo and video updates so you can have peace of mind while you’re away. Special rates are available for longer stays. For boarding, I only accept multiple pets when they come from the same household. I work mostly remotely, so your pet gets consistent company throughout the day. I can be quite flexible around pick-ups and drop-offs - just reach out! I live in a spacious, tidy flat with a balcony that stays closed during visits. No kids, no other pets. Your pets are welcome on the sofa - make yourself at home! I do have stainless steel bowls, water fountain, cat litter box and scratching post available but you’re welcome to bring your own if preferred!

“We’ve been so lucky to find Ely and his doggy day care for Bailey 🐾 From the moment we met him, I just felt completely at ease. You can tell straight away how much he genuinely loves and understands dogs, and that’s everything when you’re leaving your little one with someone. Bailey has settled in so quickly and got so excited when we arrived, which says it all. It’s such a comfort knowing he’s somewhere safe, cared for and having fun while I’m at work. Ely keeps me updated, is super flexible, and just makes the whole experience feel easy and stress free. I honestly don’t know what I’d do without him now! Couldn’t recommend him more if you’re looking for someone you can truly trust with your dog 🤍”

“My lucky pup had a wonderful day with Araceli!! Thank you! Araceli has a lovely energy about her which is very reassuring, genuinely kind natured and I felt very comfortable leaving my furbaby in her capable hands. My pup Marley also seemed very happy in her home with lots of loving attention during the day, energetic walks, playtime and I also received lots of photo updates :) As a dog-mama I can be protective/selective when it comes to dog care lol, however I had no worries leaving my pup with Araceli and was grateful to meet in advance before the booked date so he could settle in quickly. We are very blessed and will certainly book again in the future.”

“Abby is lovely and has been so loving and affectionate towards my puppy. Abby follows my advice and instructions to ensure my puppy follows his normal routine. Thank you Abby x”

“Nimmi has taken such good care of Murphy, I felt he was in very safe hands. He's had a great time with Marley as well, I'll definitely be using Nimmi's services again soon :)”

“We were extremely pleased after booking with Rahul. Rahul and I had a call before the booking to talk about our needs and our doggo’s habits etc. You could tell that Rahul and his partner put a lot of effort into going the extra mile to ensure that they provide the best possible care for your furry friend. Would definitely recommend.”
“Rocky met Jess quickly the day before to test the waters as he's quite an anxious dog. He stayed the day with Jess while I was at work, she sent updates throughout the day to keep me reassured. When I picked him up, it looked like he had a great time and I hope that I am able to leave him with Jess again.”

Julia was great with our cocker spaniel, Poppy. She kept us updated through the day and when we picked Poppy up in the evening she was a very happy dog. We’d definitely recommend Julia to anyone who needs a dog sitter. She knows exactly what Poppy needs and takes great care of her.

Our precious boys Pretzel and Oreo had a lovely day with Ché. I dropped them off to Ché at 10:15am and collected them at 10:15pm. Throughout the day I was kept updated with lots of photos and could see how happy my pooches were. Ché really is a wonderfully warm and caring lady. I got that happy vibe as soon as she opened the door to us, and most importantly, Pretzel and Oreo took to her instantly too. When I collected them 12 hours later I knew the had had a great day. I will definitely trust Ché to take my boys again when needed. My dogs have been looked after by many different sitters over the years, and I can definitely say that Ché is one of the best. So obviously, I can recommend her to anyone else needing her services. Your dogs will be in great hands. Thank you Ché for everything xx

Cannot thank Laura enough for looking after my fur baby. Laura is quite easily one of the loveliest and most down to earth people I have come across, I have never had anyone look after my Dolly before so I was very hesitant to leave her however Laura made this experience so seamless for both myself and Dolly! She sent regular pics / vids with updates, would definitely recommend and will 100% be back booking with her !! Thank you again !! Xxx

Andrea was superb with looking after my family dog, she was constantly updating us throughout the day with him and how he was getting on. He stayed the night and was something we’ve never done before but Andrea made us very at ease and we would definitely go back to her again to look after our dog. Highly recommend her to anyone who is struggling to find someone to leave their dog with.

First time leaving Pablo with someone that wasn’t family and was so apprehensive but turns out I had no need to be. Songchen was very reassuring and welcomed Pablo with open arms. Regular updates and pictures and he looked happy in every one of them. Would definitely recommend.

I’m very happy with the care and service provided by Aish and Rahul. The first time Rolo stayed with them, he was very anxious as it was all new to him. When I sent him back a second time, he seemed much more relaxed and was settling in really well. It’s clear they genuinely care about the dogs they look after. Seeing how happy and settled Rolo was gave me peace of mind, and I wouldn’t hesitate to leave him with Aish and Rahul again.

Meerim has been absolutely perfect for Ryo. She was incredibly understanding of Ryo's characters and showed great levels of respect. She sent many photos and videos during the sits and constantly updated me on how Ryo is. Ryo was happy to see her and looks very happy after the sit. Thank you Meerim

We truly can’t recommend Zoe & Ross enough- they looked after our pup Enzo for the day and genuinely felt so at ease leaving him with them. They both gave so much attention and love - you can see they really do care about dogs 🤍 Thank you so much for having him - he’ll be back soon🙏🤍

Gil and Ian are a lovely couple who my precious Dachshunds took an instant like to. It was so reassuring to leave them in their company and not have to worry about them. Their stay was only half a day because I finished my business earlier than anticipated so was able to collect well ahead of schedule. Pretzel was especially enamoured with Gil and enjoyed lots of cuddles and belly rubs - I don't think he wanted to leave !! Anyway, suffice to say I would wholeheartedly recommend Gil and Ian to look after your precious pooches anytime. I only used them this once because both my regular sitters were on holiday, but if needed again in the future, Gil and Ian would be my first port of call. Thanks again for everything 👍

Your dog’s first day care experience is a big milestone! To help your pup settle in comfortably, we recommend:
- Food and treats portioned for the day, with feeding instructions
- Your dog's lead and collar (ensure tags are up-to-date)
- Any seasonal gear, such as paw-safe wax for winter or a cooling vest for the summer
- Medication, if applicable, with clear dosage notes

Tip: Upload this information directly through the Rover app before drop-off. The more context you provide, the better your sitter can tailor the day to your dog.
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog's vaccines is the best way to be 'boarding ready'. Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Sitters in Greater London may request that your dog be up-to-date on core vaccines, such as Canine Distemper, Canine Parvovirus, Canine Adenovirus (also known as DHP or DHPPi), Leptospirosis and Kennel Cough. By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poo breaks occured. A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
We require sitters to operate in compliance with applicable local licensing requirements. In England, pet sitters who board dogs or provide doggy day care as a business may need a valid licence under the Animal Welfare (Licensing of Activities Involving Animals) Regulations 2018. When vetting your sitter, ask if they meet local licensing requirements for dog boarding. This confirmation is important for coverage under the Rover Guarantee. Read more about our requirement for following local licensing requirements .
