“Martina was absolutely brilliant with Paulie. She kept us up to date with photos throughout the day and followed instructions on his routine. Paulie loved being with her. Would highly recommend”

About: I've grown up with pets (dogs, bunny and guineapig) and love all kinds of animals. I enjoy long dog walks and spending time in the nature. I'm freelance designer and might have months off between projects. During these periods I could pet sit full time, and doggos can enjoy my full attention and the outdoors in my garden between walks. I have a decent size fenced garden for toilet breaks between walks. The Hollow Ponds is about ten minutes from my flat and perfect for long walks.
“Paul and his partner were absolutely brilliant and took such wonderful care of our dog Willie. He had a great day and came home a very happy little guy. Their dog Sylvia is very sweet and calm and they got along well. Would highly recommend. Thanks Again, we will be back in touch soon 😊”

“Bean has stayed with Zac twice now and I can tell she's really enjoyed it as she was so excited to see him and Charlotte the second time she stayed. Zac has also been very easy to communicate with and I can tell he's taking really good care of Bean.”

“Angelica was great with Rufus and was able to help out last minute. I had lots of updates throughout the day and lots of photos of a very happy Rufus. He’s always booked back in at the weekend. Highly recommend 😀”

About: Lifelong pet owners and experienced dog walker/sitter. I have two sausage dogs, Dorris & Poppy, trained them myself, and I’m confident with stubborn breeds, routines, and gentle handling. Available for overnight stays, day care, drop-ins and walks. I’m working from home Monday, Wednesday and Friday and I’m also available most weekends! I’m in a ground-floor flat right by Epping Forest (no garden, but easy access to plenty of green space and regular outdoor breaks). I have two friendly sausage dogs, so visiting dogs need to be comfortable around other dogs. For overnight stays, I have a spare room that can be used for sleeping arrangements and for crates. If your dog isn’t crate trained, please let me know in advance so we can agree a setup that keeps them settled and safe.
“Laetitia was great with Eddy! She's friendly and I was fully comfortable leaving him with her. We received regular updates throughout the day and Eddy seemed very content when we came to pick him up!”

“We had a fantastic experience with Sam! Stevie had a wonderful time and came home a very happy (and very tired!) pup. Sam was super communicative throughout, which gave us great peace of mind. The meet and greet the day before was a lovely touch, really helped Stevie settle in comfortably. Would highly recommend!”

“Giedre was excellent with Jiji! She had a very calm demeanor in all of Jijis excitement to meet her. Which allowed Jiji to settle quickly. She applied all of our instructions and took her to two walks to keep her stimulated. Communication was great with several photos of their day. Would happily have Giedre take care of Jiji again.”

“Rebecca is incredible with our boy, Nooch! She’s amazing at sending updates throughout the day which we love, and he always comes home a very happy pup. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a reliable and kind person to look after their fur baby.”

“Kobe had a great time with Valentina and her partner. Valentina was very responsive and proactive in communicating around Kobes stay and any concerns. She was lovely and approachable and the pictures shared were lovely, Kobes obviously enjoyed himself.”

“Here is a smoother version of your message: Yu Shan and her partner took great care of Paco and helped him settle in quickly, even though it was his first time staying with them. Communication was excellent both during the booking process and throughout Paco’s stay. I would definitely recommend them!”

About: I love all dogs big, medium and small and have both looked after and walked all kinds of pooches for short stays as well as extended ones. I’d describe myself as calm, confident and friendly who is highly active and adaptable to my surroundings. Whether it's a walk/some human interaction or anything else your dog needs - happy to help! Please message me any questions :) Please note I live in a flat with a balcony but no garden access. I usually work from home 4/5 days so can adjust my working day around looking after your dog/s. I'm usually around most of the time ! Can do last minute bookings. It's very important to me that you let me know how you would like me to look after your dog and anything to avoid doing to ensure they are happy and comfortable. I am adaptable to what their needs are and what their temprament is. Here to make you and your dogs life easier and happier, not harder!
“Coco had a wonderful time with Amina. She was relaxed and happy to be left. Amina clearly loves dogs and was helpful with a meet and greet first. She was fantastic with communication and I felt really comfortable leaving my pup in her capable hands.”

“Caroline was an amazing dog sitter and showed such great care and attention towards Twix. She took the time to ask plenty of questions about his routine, what he enjoys, and any things he can or can’t do, which really showed how much she cared about making him comfortable and happy. She took Twix on a lovely long walk, and he came home calm, happy, and completely exhausted after a fun day with his new friend. As an extra thoughtful touch, she even gave him a small toy. I’d highly recommend Caroline to anyone looking for a caring and attentive dog sitter!”

Aditi was absolutely lovely with Neska! She kept us updated throughout the day, sending photos and letting us know how Neska was doing and what they had been up to. Everything was super smooth and easy from start to finish. We’d definitely recommend her and would happily book her again!

Ana was fantastic with Vinny. This was our first time using Rover, and she made the whole experience feel effortless. Her communication from the outset was excellent, and she came across as warm, attentive, and genuinely experienced, which meant we felt completely comfortable leaving Vinny (our miniature dachshund) in her care. Throughout the day, Ana kept us updated with photos and videos, from a few initial nerves to being fully settled and relaxed within minutes. We saw everything from massage therapy to a lovely riverside walk, followed by plenty of cuddles and a cosy movie night. It was clear Vinny felt safe, happy, and completely at home. As first-time Rover users, we couldn’t have asked for a better introduction. We’ll definitely be booking with Ana again and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend her 🐾🫶🏾

10/10 Jennifer was amazing, flexible, sent updates and generally really lovely. Morty had a meet and greet before and then a day-sit which went really well and will be coming back for a couple of nights! Really lovely couple and happy to have such good care whilst we're juggling two small children so super happy and will definitely be coming back!

Your dog’s first day care experience is a big milestone! To help your pup settle in comfortably, we recommend:
- Food and treats portioned for the day, with feeding instructions
- Your dog's lead and collar (ensure tags are up-to-date)
- Any seasonal gear, such as paw-safe wax for winter or a cooling vest for the summer
- Medication, if applicable, with clear dosage notes
- Any special care instructions or training tips to help your sitter provide the most personalised care possible
Tip: Upload this information directly through the Rover app before drop-off. The more context you provide, the better your sitter can tailor the day to your dog.
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog's vaccines is the best way to be 'boarding ready'. Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Sitters in Greater London may request that your dog be up-to-date on core vaccines, such as Canine Distemper, Canine Parvovirus, Canine Adenovirus (also known as DHP or DHPPi), Leptospirosis and Kennel Cough. Cats may be required to have Feline Panleucopenia Virus, Feline Herpesvirus, Feline Calicivirus, and Feline Leukaemia Virus up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poo breaks occured. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available for dedicated customer support by email or chat if you have concerns.
The personalised, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
We require sitters to operate in compliance with applicable local licensing requirements. In England, pet sitters who board dogs or provide doggy day care as a business may need a valid licence under the Animal Welfare (Licensing of Activities Involving Animals) Regulations 2018. When vetting your sitter, ask if they meet local licensing requirements for dog boarding. This confirmation is important for coverage under the Rover Guarantee. Read more about our requirement for following local licensing requirements .
