About: I have a small dog and I grow up with dogs. I know how to them care for them: from hyper to nervous dogs. I love looking after them and I am happy to also sit in my house I work from home so I can pick up the dogs in the morning or talks them out for a walk when needed. I just need to plan my day in advance. I can have dogs at mine for the whole day as well. I have a fenced garden. My little dog loves the company of other dogs. I works from home so I am flexible with walks. I can pick up the dogs and drop them off.
“It’s been 4 or 5 more bookings with Chloe since my original review - Luna has really comfortably taken to Chloe, it’s super obvious during drop offs; Chloe is super reliable, friendly, communicative and flexible. I also trust Chloe with Luna no matter the weather, she’s used great judgement and still kept Luna entertained and happy, no matter the amount of walks they can go on.”

“Lionel had a wonderful time with Michelle and Comet. He can be quite a nervous pup but clearly got on well with them both from our first meet and greet and I had so many lovely photos of their walks during the day too. I wouldn’t hesitate to book with Michelle again. Thank you!”

About: I've grown up with pets (dogs, bunny and guineapig) and love all kinds of animals. I enjoy long dog walks and spending time in the nature. I'm freelance designer and might have months off between projects. During these periods I could pet sit full time, and doggos can enjoy my full attention and the outdoors in my garden between walks. I have a decent size fenced garden for toilet breaks between walks. The Hollow Ponds is about ten minutes from my flat and perfect for long walks.
“Bean has stayed with Zac twice now and I can tell she's really enjoyed it as she was so excited to see him and Charlotte the second time she stayed. Zac has also been very easy to communicate with and I can tell he's taking really good care of Bean.”

“Darren is amazing with my two toy poodles, super friendly and accommodating. Highly recommend! He and his partner Kate are very kind and only after 2 visits my girls (who are usually quite shy) were prancing into their place like they owned it - which shows they were treated with high quality of care”

About: Hi, I’m Ruby! I’m a dog-sitter based in Walthamstow, and previously worked with special educational needs children. I have full availability for pet care :) I have always loved dogs, and have had three lurchers, one border terrier and a fox terrier. I’m experienced in caring for dogs of all breeds and sizes, from puppies to senior dogs, and I’m experienced supporting those with unique needs like separation anxiety. I’d love to meet local Walthamstow dogs, and I am happy to tailor my care to their individual needs. I know how much dogs mean to their owners (they are family!) and will follow all your requests to ensure your dog feels safe, happy, and well-loved. Feel free to reach out with any questions ! When I’m not working or spending time with dogs, I study a Law Masters, enjoy yoga, bouldering, going to the gym, art, photography, and seeing live music. I am free full time! I am a Masters student and previously worked as a SEN TA but now work full time as a dogsitter. I tailor my care to your dog’s individual needs - playing with toys, feeding, walking, recall training, or simply keeping them company. Let me know what they need, and I’ll make sure they’re happy and well cared for!

About: I’m a huge dog lover currently saving up for a pup of my own. In the meantime, I’d keen to be around dogs l for cuddles, walks and relaxed nights in. Experience: Spent 2 years helping raise and walk an ex-partner’s dog. Experience walking rescue dogs (I’m patient with anxious dogs) Borrow my doggy for a year with 6 regular doggy friends Reliable dog-sitter for family friends and helping my mums older clients. I guess I can be quite shy and quiet around people, but around dogs I feel most at home and comfortable. I work a hybrid job, so I’m home and looking for a furry coworker most days! I’m usually in the office on Tuesdays and Thursdays, but I’m wide open on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and weekends for walks or sits. Please note: For day care or house sitting over 9 hours and additional £10 will be added to the fee x I am in the ground floor flat with a closed off garden Many blankets for the sofa and armchair so the doggies can sit where they like.

“Rebecca is incredible with our boy, Nooch! She’s amazing at sending updates throughout the day which we love, and he always comes home a very happy pup. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a reliable and kind person to look after their fur baby.”

“Eloise was great with my dog Dylan! He is an anxious dog, but took to her right away. She was kind enough to do a meet and greet before the day to help ease him in, and then that morning he was dragging me back to her door, which is always a good sign! Thank you, and Dylan will be back some time soon.”

“Angelica was great! Very calm and easy about any possible quirks of Comet's. Nice updates so I felt reassured on his first stay, would recommend and am planning to book again soon!”

“Everything about doggy daycare with Margaret was easy. She was lovely and calm with Comet immediately on our meet and greet, and he was very happy to see her again for his day out. She even put up with my terrible timekeeping! Very happy with all the updates and would easily recommend!”

“Coco had a wonderful time with Amina. She was relaxed and happy to be left. Amina clearly loves dogs and was helpful with a meet and greet first. She was fantastic with communication and I felt really comfortable leaving my pup in her capable hands.”

“Antonia was amazing! We met the day before for a meet and greet and then I left Norma with her on a very hot summers day. She sent me updates throughout the day and I could see Norma was very cool, relaxed and having a great time. Thanks so much for looking after Norma, we will definitely message you again soon!”

“Evan and Gorka are amazing pet sitters. This is the second time we’ve left Amber with them and she’s always had a great time. They regularly send pictures and make sure she’s well taken care of 😊”

About: Hey, I’m Luna and I’ve never met an animal that I haven’t been able to make friends with - even cats! I grew up around family dogs and cats but my main experience has been looking after my friend’s furry child - Betty, who is the apple of all of our eyes, and I’ve also previously lived with my partner’s cat Dom, who sadly passed away last year. I work remotely, so I have huge flexibility in terms of taking your pets for long or short walks, depending on what they need, or coming to check on them at your home while you're away. I work from home every day apart from Wednesdays, so I can fit your pet in whenever suits you. My schedule outside of work is also usually quite relaxed so I can help out when you need. I’m happy to match the energy of your pet, so can be very calm and relaxed if your pups are more anxious or high-energy if they can’t stop running around. My home is on the ground floor with easy access for outside breaks as well.
“Zara had a lovely day with Katy. Her flat is diacious and uncluttered which is great when you have a curious dog and her garden is the most secure I’ve ever seen from a Rover sitter. She happily came to meet us for a chat a few weeks before the booking which is always a sign of a careful and conscientious sitter. She listened to my info regarding Zara’s reactivity in busy areas and kept to quiet roads for their little leg stretch. Looking forward to booking again in the future.”

About: Lifelong pet owners and experienced dog walker/sitter. I have two sausage dogs, Dorris & Poppy, trained them myself, and I’m confident with stubborn breeds, routines, and gentle handling. Available for overnight stays, day care, drop-ins and walks. I’m working from home Monday, Wednesday and Friday and I’m also available most weekends! I’m in a ground-floor flat right by Epping Forest (no garden, but easy access to plenty of green space and regular outdoor breaks). I have two friendly sausage dogs, so visiting dogs need to be comfortable around other dogs. For overnight stays, I have a spare room that can be used for sleeping arrangements and for crates. If your dog isn’t crate trained, please let me know in advance so we can agree a setup that keeps them settled and safe.

Georgina was a fantastic sitter for our little Sebastien and so glad lovely Scampi and him got along! She sent many great pictures of his stay and their adventures of the day and kept us well updated. Wouldn’t hesitate to send Sebastien in the future. Thanks again!

Linda and Jacob took really good care of Miya, and was absolutely lovely to deal with, they kept me regularly updated throughout the day which gave us peace of mind.i really appriciate their help and would happily recommend them to anyone looking for a reliable and caring dog sitter.

Cheryl was amazing with our baby truffle, proof was that she refused to walk back home as she didn’t want to leave Cheryl or peri behind. That means she has an amazing play time. We just moved to the area and we are pleased to find someone to look after truffle once per week. Thank you ❤️

Laetitia is a fantastic sitter and Barney always enjoys her time with her! Her flat is amazingly set up in preparation to have Barney and she is really thoughtful about what Barney might need on her stays. She is a great sitter and lovely person, we always have a chat at pick up and drop offs and I know Barney receives the absolute best of care with her.

Natalie was absolutely great with our lurcher, Maggie. Maggie can be nervous but Natalie took it at Maggies pace and was really great with her. I completely trust Natalie and will definitely be using her again! She was also very communicative. I would definitely recommend Natalie!

Bean had an amazing time with Susanna and Harry - lots of attention throughout the day and a lovely walk around Wanstead Flats. Susanna was super accommodating and really communicative pre drop off and throughout! I’m sure Bean would love to hang out with Susanna, Harry and their socks again!

Lou was absolutely brilliant looking after Rizzo! She was so lovely, friendly and clearly really caring, and I felt completely at ease knowing Rizzo was in such good hands. She kept me updated and it was obvious that Rizzo was happy, settled and really well looked after. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Lou and would definitely use her again. Thank you so much for taking such good care of my girl! 🐶❤️

Daphnia was absolutely fantastic with my Daphne! She really listened to everything I said about her personality and made sure she was settled and happy. Just a wonderful service from her and I’m disappointed that I don’t live closer so Daphne can go more regularly. Can’t say it enough… 5 star service.

Your dog’s first day care experience is a big milestone! To help your pup settle in comfortably, we recommend:
- Food and treats portioned for the day, with feeding instructions
- Your dog's lead and collar (ensure tags are up-to-date)
- Any seasonal gear, such as paw-safe wax for winter or a cooling vest for the summer
- Medication, if applicable, with clear dosage notes
- Any special care instructions or training tips to help your sitter provide the most personalised care possible
Tip: Upload this information directly through the Rover app before drop-off. The more context you provide, the better your sitter can tailor the day to your dog.
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog's vaccines is the best way to be 'boarding ready'. Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Sitters in Greater London may request that your dog be up-to-date on core vaccines, such as Canine Distemper, Canine Parvovirus, Canine Adenovirus (also known as DHP or DHPPi), Leptospirosis and Kennel Cough. Cats may be required to have Feline Panleucopenia Virus, Feline Herpesvirus, Feline Calicivirus, and Feline Leukaemia Virus up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poo breaks occured. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available for dedicated customer support by email or chat if you have concerns.
The personalised, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
We require sitters to operate in compliance with applicable local licensing requirements. In England, pet sitters who board dogs or provide doggy day care as a business may need a valid licence under the Animal Welfare (Licensing of Activities Involving Animals) Regulations 2018. When vetting your sitter, ask if they meet local licensing requirements for dog boarding. This confirmation is important for coverage under the Rover Guarantee. Read more about our requirement for following local licensing requirements .
