Reliable dog-loving couple!
Hi 👋 this is Amelie & Alex! Amelie was born into a family with two golden retrievers, so dogs became her best friends from day one. She’s since lived with Briards, Springer Spaniels and Bernese Mountain Dogs, being a 360 carer; covering vet visits, physio, feeding, walking and even agility training. Alex comes from a family of Chow and Old English owners. He is a master at early dog walks, being a natural (very) early riser. Dogs love his attention and play time. As a couple, we love all kinds of dogs and would love to spend more time helping dog parents. Alex and I live in a dog friendly apartment (with balcony) in the Olympic Village. While we haven’t been professional sitters before, we are caring, reliable and relatively flexible. There is an enclosed green space as part of our building, a small green in front of the building, plus the vast Olympic Park a 5 minute walk away. Since being new to Rover, we are happy to be flexible on price and requests — just drop us a message to chat things through and see if we could be a fit :)

Monty had a great time with Amelie and Alex, he settled in straight away with them and they kept us updated with cute pictures and updates over the weekend. Monty came home happy and sleepy, the sign of a well exercised pup who’s had lots of playtime, attention and cuddles. We’ll definitely be using Amelie and Alex again, would highly recommend them as dogsitters!
We couldn’t have asked for a better sitter for Ares! He stayed with them for four days and was looked after so incredibly well. He had frequent walks, was well-fed and had plenty of rest and sleep. We received regular updates, photos and videos throughout his stay, which really reassured us and allowed us to see how happy and comfortable he was. It was clear that Ares was genuinely cared for and treated so well. We felt completely at ease leaving Ares with them and would 100% recommend them to anyone looking for a caring, reliable and trustworthy dog sitter. We had a great dogsitting experience with Amelie! She provided great communication with daily updates (including pictures). Amelie diligently asked questions before we started to make note of Poppy’s walking, feeding and household routines. It looks like Poppy had a lot of fun, including long walks and Poppy even wanted head back with Amelie at pickup time. We highly recommend Amelie! . :)
Amelie and Alex are both natural dog parents and have both grown up their whole lives with dogs and other animals in the countryside. They’ve cared for our older spaniel and 10 week old whippet puppy like their own. As active outdoors people, they can deal with an energetic pup in the park or equally a quieter soul, as they both mostly work from home. I would trust them completely.

Schedule
We both work in companies with 1-2 day in-office, meaning we can be at home most of the week (and fully at home on request). Early risers, we often dog sit our parents’ dogs, spoiling them with early long walks and a longer evening one too. Small regular breaks are a joy with dogs and get us out of the house!

We are flexible to your requests regarding crates etc. and will do our best to make your dog feel at home. Our 2 bed flat is dog friendly, with an elevator and stairs, and a balcony.
A typical day
Dogs love sniffs and walks in our area —“reading the paper” as we like to call it. Obedience practice, hide and seek with treats, and play are an important part in the mix too. Every day should have a balance of physical and mental exercise.
