About: As a lifelong dog and cat lover, I have many years of experience caring for pets of all sizes, breeds, and temperaments. I'm friendly, reliable, and genuinely enjoy providing every dog and cat with the love, attention, and care they deserve, ensuring they feel happy, comfortable, and safe while in my care. I have a large, secure back garden and am ideally located close to Hollow Ponds and Lloyd Park, offering plenty of opportunities for enjoyable walks, exercise, and outdoor play. I’m mainly available on weekends, when I have plenty of time to give pets my full attention. Am also available Monday - Friday from 6.30-8am and from 4.30 pm to offer walks, home visits etc. I love spending my free time walking, playing, and caring for dogs to keep them happy and active. Whether in my home or yours, I follow each pet’s normal routine, keeping them comfortable and relaxed. I provide walks, feeding, play, and affection, always focusing on their safety and happiness.
“Katherine house sat for my 2 year old Labrador Lenny whilst I was out for the day. Lenny can sometimes still be full of energy and can be a bit stubborn on walks but Katherine was able to provide all the walks, care and attention that Lenny required. I would highly recommend Katherine to anyone looking for a dog sitter!”

“Ali took great care of Peanut for us while we were out all day. He was clearly very comfortable with bigger dogs and gave Peanut a great day with a couple of walks and plenty of play. Peanut was sad to see Ali leave but quickly fell fast asleep from a very full day together. Definitely booking Ali again in the future!”

“Sophie was a fantastic and trustworthy dog sitter for ten days while we were on honeymoon. Our dog absolutely adores her (and he isn’t always easy!) and she has now twice taken excellent care of our home. We will definitely be using Sophie again!”

About: I really enjoy pets and have respect for all animals. I feel pets are very individual and would tailor care to their needs, whether lots of attention, exercise or play. I know the need for peace of mind entrusting your loved one, and can assure you of responsible, dependable care. I'm currently semi retired so have time to enjoy looking after furry friends, as I know how crucial it is to have someone trustworthy in your home. I walk 10k steps a day so happy to take dogs walking or play with them. If it's an older dog or cat that just wants to chill then that's ok too. I'm used to adapting to different household requirements through my work and being Health & Safety aware, so rest assured your pet will be in safe hands.

Sergio was fantastic for this overnight stay with my boys . He was thoroughly organised, had great communication and gave me constant updates about my boys . I’m always worried with people staying over when I am away but he was a complete profesional . I shall be using him again !
Frances was absolutely incredible and I am so grateful we came across the perfect fit for our two cats. We received daily photos where we could see our boys were immediately comfortable. Frances was respectful of our home and communication was easy and responsive. Definitely going to use Frances again in the future!

Monika was absolutely amazing with Skye. It was the hottest day of the year (38 degrees) so we were very nervous that we had to leave her with someone but she was so caring and constantly kept us updated. When She said goodbye to Monika I could tell Skye loved her, as she jumped up to go over and give Monika a goodbye cuddle. She treated Skye like she was her own and we will definitely use her again.

Adriana took care of our dog & house for a full week and she did such a brilliant job. She was lovely and kind with our dog, and she kept us updated daily. Our house looked immaculate when we returned! I would highly recommend Adriana, it’s been an absolute pleasure 😃 thank you!!

Ali was great with our dog Maggie! She can be nervous but he completely took it at her pace and I felt very comfortable leaving her with him. He was very communicative and I absolutely trust him to take good care of Maggie. I would definitely recommend Ali and use him again!

I would absolutely recommend Sofi to look after your dog! I completely trusted her with our lurcher Maggie and she kept us updated throughout the day. Maggie can be nervous but she warmed up to Sofi really quickly. Sofi really took time and care to get to know Maggie and make her feel comfortable and we will definitely be booking her again!

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Post & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Rubbish & recycling: Taking bins out on scheduled rubbish collection days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best time to agree on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a 'home cheat sheet' that includes your preferred Waltham Forest walking routes, the location of your favourite pet shop, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes dedicated customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement programme for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover must pass an identity verification before they can list their services. An identity verification confirms that the sitter is who they say they are based on their documents.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page .
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Waltham Forest choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a key safe or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. On Rover:
- 90% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 87% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 98% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest vet. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorisation form for your regular vet. An authorisation form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
