“Giovanna was an absolute dream as both a cat sitter and house sitter. We came home to such a welcoming, well looked after home, and communication throughout was excellent. She was incredibly easy to work with and, most importantly, Benji clearly adores her. He was treated like a king while we were away! We’d highly recommend Giovanna and would happily book her again :)”

“Ally took such good care of our senior cat Felix, we came back to a very happy and chilled cat. We had regular updates so knew she was being taken excellent care of. Would highly recommend Ally to anyone looking for a reliable and professional cat sitter ⭐️”

About: I’ve grown up with animals my whole life and caring for them has always been something I truly love. I’ve spent years looking after dogs of all ages, from playful puppies to senior dogs, and I’ve also helped care for newborn puppies when our family dogs had litters. My last four dogs back home were all rescues, which taught me the importance of patience, compassion, and understanding each animal’s unique personality and needs. Alongside my experience with dogs, I’ve also cared for cats, bunnies, turtles and even chinchillas requiring special care and attention. I understand that every pet is different, and I always take the time to make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and loved while in my care. I know how important it is to trust someone with your beloved pet, and I’ll treat yours with the same care and affection I’d give my own. Whether your pet enjoys long walks, playtime, gentle cuddles, or simply a calm and reassuring presence, I’ll make sure they feel happy and well looked after while you’re away. I’m happy to work around your pet’s usual routine and will do my best to keep their schedule as familiar and comfortable as possible. Whether your dog prefers morning walks, regular playtime, quiet time, or plenty of cuddles, I’ll adapt to their needs and make sure they receive plenty of attention throughout the day. I understand that consistency is important for pets, especially when their owners are away, so I’ll follow any feeding, medication, exercise, and care instructions you provide. Your pet’s safety and wellbeing are always my top priorities. I know how much trust it takes to leave your best friend in someone else’s care, and I’ll treat your pet as if they were my own. I have experience caring for dogs, cats, bunnies and chinchillas, each of them with different personalities and needs, including rescue dogs and pets requiring extra attention. I’m patient, attentive, and take the time to understand each pet’s comfort levels, habits, and boundaries. I’ll always provide updates, photos, and messages so you can feel reassured that your pet is happy, safe, and receiving plenty of love while you’re away.
“Doria is an amazing cat sitter! She is communicative, responsible and really took her time to get to know our Pumpkin, despite him acting like a moody teenager at first. In the end, he was clearly happy to have had her around and we’d not hesitate for a second to book her again.”

About: Hello! Cat mum of 2 little terrors - 1 14 year old boy called Toosh and 1 4 year old girl called Joop. Joop was a new arrival and came as a stray with 3 kittens who have now been happily rehomed so experienced with cats of all ages. I use Cat In A Flat when I go away and know how nerve wrecking it is leaving them, so would like to offer a safe pair of hands to someone else in the same situation. Sadly don't have the space for a dog as well but an all round animal lover and lover of walkies, so happy to look after dogs as well!

“Again, Eve was great looking after Sid! Sent lots of photo updates and looked after our home whilst she stayed. We really appreciate you, thanks so much! Wouldn’t hesitate to book Eve again x”

“Penny is my cat's new favourite person! She was excellent, she loved my cat and looked after my flat super well for the week I was away. She kept me up to date on everything. Can't wait to have her stay again!”

“Katherine house sat for my 2 year old Labrador Lenny whilst I was out for the day. Lenny can sometimes still be full of energy and can be a bit stubborn on walks but Katherine was able to provide all the walks, care and attention that Lenny required. I would highly recommend Katherine to anyone looking for a dog sitter!”

“Our puppy Leo is always so happy to see Kerri. She is consistent with her care, patience and communications with us while she is looking after him. I couldn’t ask for more.”

“The best dog sitter! Our nervous rescue dog absolutely loves him. Agustin dog sat for 3 nights this time and sent us updates and photos each day, our dog looked so happy and relaxed and we cannot recommend him highly enough 🙂”

“Jade took excellent care of Suki. She was easy to communicate with and gave us updates throughout the day. Suki clearly felt very comfortable around her and enjoyed her time with Jade! Thanks :)”

About: Hi 👋🏽 A little about me - I’ve always loved animals since I was a child and over the years we’ve had 5 cats. I currently live with 2 of my family cats, one of which is 17 years old! I have recently adopted my own cat Miso. She’s 13 years old and extremely sweet but also very anxious. I’m very comfortable with dogs and cats, understanding their behaviour and needs. I’d love to meet you beforehand to ensure that everyone (pets included) are comfortable.
“Slavina took such great care of our cockapoo Disco who requires daily medication and has separation anxiety. She was so careful with her, particularly during the hot weather, and made sure Disco was always comfortable. Slavina sent us regular updates and photos of all their walks, play and cuddles. She also left our flat in immaculate condition!”
“April looked after Coco for most the day at my home and was very professional and supportive throughout this first time experience of using a dog sitting service. Would highly recommend.”

About: I have just finished a year at University, learning about performing arts. Outside of my education, I am a very creative taking on hobbies of drawing and crocheting. I am a huge animal lover with a good couple years of experience caring for cats of all ages. From owning my own cats to looking after my family and friends cats as well. I no longer own any pets because of housing reasons and miss having a companion to look after and care for me. I'm currently on a break so I'll be more available when it comes to looking after your furry friends. My availabilities vary depending on my schedule as I do have other commitments but even so I'll always try to make time. I am very observant when it comes to my own dogs digestion. And I prefer to be in quite close proximity when letting my dog roam around outside or on a walk. I also keep a pet owners constantly updated via text, call and taking photos (when asked) even when your animal is resting.

“Cat is a five star cat sitter all the way. She's easy to work with, reliable, sends tons of photos and updates. Most of all you can tell she really, really loves cats. And my cat Bean loved her! Would book her again no question.”

“Our dog had a lovely time with Becki. The communication was extremely easy and we received lots of updates about our pub during their stay. Would definitely recommend Becki she’s been fantastic and very accommodating for all of our dogs health needs.”

“Leila was such a wonderful dog sitter for our greyhound, Gilly! She was very easy to communicate with, understanding of Gilly’s unique quirks and provided us with photos and videos throughout. She looked after her as if it was her own dog and I can’t recommend her enough for your dog sitting or walking needs! Gilly felt very comfortable with her and I’m sure she’ll be excited to see her again soon 😊”

Anastasia looked after our sweet boy Kikko over an extended weekend, and we couldn't have asked for better experience. Her communication was excellent from start to finish - regular updates and photos so we never had to worry. She accommodated all of his needs and made him feel right at home. We came back to a happy, relaxed cat, which says it all. Anastasia is now our number one sitter, and we wouldn't hesitate to recommend her to anyone.
Agustin looked after our Pomeranian Elvis for a day and night in our home. Elvis absolutely loved his time with him, which immediately put us at ease. He was clearly really well cared for and happy when we got home. Our flat also looked exactly as we’d left it (actually I think the sofa cushions looked better styled in fact!) which we really appreciated. We’d definitely book again and would highly recommend him.

Eleanor was fantastic our dog Ziggy! She kept me updated throughout the day, letting me know how he was getting on, which really put me at ease. As a rescue, Ziggy can be nervous, but he settled quickly and really warmed to Eleanor. She was very understanding of his needs and he was comfortable with her. I’d be very happy to use Eleanor again and would definitely recommend her!

Ollie was just great with our lovely, unique chocolate lab, Hector. His really calm approach was just what he needed. He did everything we asked of him and more. He kept us up to date with pictures and messages throughout our stay away which kept us reassured about Hectors wellbeing. He left the house as he found it… Great! Thoroughly recommend as a house sitter

Frances did a great job watching our rescue dog Moose and kept us up to date. She was patient and calm at the meet and greet while Moose was warming up to her (since she can be nervous of new people she often barks at first). When Frances came back Moose was very excited to see her and was happy and well look after when we got home later that day. Would happily have Frances watch Moose again. Thank you!

I would 100 percent recommend Kaitlyn. I felt like both my cat and flat were in very safe hands. She went above and beyond to water my plants, and took great care of my flat (including washing all my sofa covers when my cat peed), leaving it immaculate. Her communication was great, and she kept me updated and reassured whilst I was away. I would definitely use her again!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest vet. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorisation form for your regular vet. An authorisation form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
