“This is the first time I've used the services of a dog / house sitter but it went very well and I'll be asking Kerri to help out again for my next holiday. Kerri came round to meet Charlie and me.... Obviously a great match so we booked her ! Kerri sent me photos of Charlie the very happy Cockapoo through out my time away. .. Didn't miss me at all by his doggy smiling furry face!”

“Had a really last minute request and Nicole was so quick and responsive and accommodating. It was obvious Brutus felt safe and happy as soon as she arrived so obviously some super strong dog energy vibes. Couldn’t ask for more really! 10/10, five stars”

“Adriana did a great job with Bailey. He can be an excitable dog and Adriana immediately seemed to settle him and put him right at ease, which made us feel completely confident in leaving him. During the sit we were kept updated with how things were going and we came back to a happy and content dog, which is always the main thing. Would absolutely recommend Adriana.”

“Laura is a fantastic dog sitter. She was amazing with Coco and left our house clean and tidy. She sent us regular messages and photos to make sure we felt at ease and made the experience extremely easy and worry free. We will definitely be hiring her again in the future. Thanks so much Laura!”

“Absolutely fantastic sitter. Emilie watched after our fur baby for a week at our home and has done such an amazing job taking care of her. My partner and I were worried about leaving our dog for a longer period for the first time but Emilie took away our worries instantly. She kept us constantly updated during the day with photos and made sure that we knew exactly how our pup was doing in good detail. We could tell immediately that she has plenty of experience with dogs. She was very accomodating to ours/Mooncake's needs but most importantly our dog seems to have had a lot of fun with her! Major bonus was she also treated our home with such respect. We couldn't have asked for a better sitter. If you are anxious about leaving your fur baby to someone new like I was, I would definitely recommend Emilie!”

“Slavina took such great care of our cockapoo Disco who requires daily medication and has separation anxiety. She was so careful with her, particularly during the hot weather, and made sure Disco was always comfortable. Slavina sent us regular updates and photos of all their walks, play and cuddles. She also left our flat in immaculate condition!”
“Joao and Lara looked after my dog for a week! He is quite nervous and takes a while to warm up to strangers, but he was clearly so well taken care of as he was very relaxed when we returned home. The house was also very taken care of as was spotless when we returned. Thank you very much”

“We would give Victoria Anne a 100 star rating ! Our little dog loved her immediatley. She is incredibly proffessional - arranging meet and greet / confirmimg appointments - updates on our pet at regular intervals - very easy to communicate with and trustworthy. Victoria Ann house sat for us and we where able to go out without worrying about our pet being alone. We will defiantely book her again as she is one of the most reliable honest and nicest dog sitters we have ever met !! Thank you so much”

“Our dogs were really happy staying with Dave. Dave kept us regularly updated with texts and photos. Really happy with the care they received. Will definitely book again in the future.”

About: I provide a safe, loving, and structured environment for every dog in my care. With over 9 years of experience, I’ve looked after dogs of all sizes, ages, and temperaments. I understand how important routine and trust are, so I take the time to make each dog feel comfortable and secure. I’m experienced with feeding routines, walks, playtime, and giving plenty of attention and care. I only care for one booking at a time (unless from the same owner), ensuring your dog receives my full attention, patience, and dedicated care—just like at home. I offer a structured service that includes morning walks, personalised breakfasts, relaxation and playtime, additional walks at midday and in the afternoon, recreational activities, and preparation for bedtime, ensuring the physical and mental well-being of each pet. Owners can stay informed about their pets through this app, WhatsApp, text messages, Facebook Messenger or Skype. I conduct an initial assessment in a neutral location to observe your dog's behaviour and recommend an early drop-off for new boarders, if the owner deems it appropriate. I maintain a personalised routine for each dog during their stay and conduct daily health checks and cleaning with the owner's approval. I pay special attention to puppies under one year old, accepting only one at a time, providing support for house training and direct access to the garden. Thank you for trusting me to care for your beloved pet. With my dedication and experience, you can be assured that your pet will receive the best possible care while you are away. I look forward to the opportunity to meet and care for your furry friend. I live only with my husband, I don't have childs or pets. I live in a beautiful house there are 4 bedrooms with a private fenced garden and access to nearby parks that facilitate the dog's proper recreation.
“Mary took good care of Rainha and Durham. The house was left clean and tidy and she sent photos during our holiday so we knew our pets were safe and happy. I would use Mary again.”

About: I live in a flat with my partner, Tuan, who is also a pet lover! We both have many years of experience caring for pets, started when we were kids! My friends have relied on me to pet-sit whenever they’re on holiday, and most pet owners describe me as 'patient' - with that said I always make sure that their needs are met at that time! I have experience sitting pets of various ages from 8 months old to 13 years old, so I am extremely comfortable in handling their needs. Depending on the needs of our furry friends, my energy can be matched. If they are high energy that requires long walks, let's run to the park! And if they are laid back, let's just chill by the sofa/bench with a nice book and cuppa :) On top of meeting their needs, I make sure they are kept clean at all times, meaning making sure their paws and pee-pee are wiped down after walks to get any mud/grass seeds, and to brush their coats whenever needed. I am also a great communicator, I always make sure to send pet-owners regular photos and/or videos during our activities and any alarming behaviours that need attention. I've also ended up becoming really good friends with one of the pet-owners I've met on Rover, which means I get to see/look after our furry friend a lot more regularly :) BIG win! All-in-all, I attend to their needs. If there's a strict schedule, I will always try to shift things around and accommodate it. We have a car, so we are happy to bring your lil one out for a stroll too whenever needed! My partner and I both work remotely most days, so we will be able to attend to the pets needs at all times. I am an early riser, so I am usually good to take your furry friend out for a walk whilst it’s still less crowded on the pavement/in the park. My partner and I also enjoy evening walks after dinner, so rest assured that our friend will have the chance to do his/her final wee of the day before bed. I have several parks near my flat so those are great areas for them to roam and play! I have a large space and living room at home. The pet would have a good amount of space to walk around to enjoy themselves whilst I work/chill. I am also comfortable with allowing our friends to sleep, lay in my bed if needed. I also live really close to Epping Forest and we have a car, so we can easily drive and bring our furry friend out for strolls!
“Pleased with how David looked after my fur babies and ensured they were cared for as per the instructions given, as one of them has back issues. David always gives regular updates with pictures which is lovely. He was also very respectful of the house. I will definitely be using David again and can highly recommend him.”

“Jessica was great with Millie after building up trust with a few walks before the overnight stay. Kept informed with messages and photos throughout day Would book with Jesstafain 😁”

However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Post & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.

- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Epping Forest choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a key safe or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. On Rover:
- 90% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 89% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 98% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest vet. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorisation form for your regular vet. An authorisation form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
