“This was the first time we'd left Mabel (other than a brief weekend in Edinburgh) for nearly two years and Sharon was absolutely amazing. To say there was a bit of separation anxiety (us, not Mabel!) would be an understatement but Sharon was so brilliant with Mabel that we could get on and enjoy our holiday knowing the pair of them were having a great time. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend Sharon and will definitely be planning our next overseas trip again soon!”

“All I can say is thank god I found Ellie. Getting our puppy wasn’t planned, and we already had a holiday booked. I was contemplating whether to go or cancel. Thought I’d give Rover a try and came across Ellie’s profile. She lives local to me, which was a huge bonus as it meant she knew the area well. I instantly just felt a positive vibe after having a little conversation and instantly knew Eira was going to be in safe hands, which made my anxiety go away. Ellie was so keen to know every detail about Eira, from her sleep, day to day routine, and general care. We came home to a super happy, comfortable, well looked after pup. I really can’t recommend Ellie enough. Thank you SO much for looking after our baby. Will definitely be in touch for any future plans, and Ellie is welcome round any time to come and see her new bestie! I’m sure Eira will miss you as much as you’ll miss her! 🫶🏼”

About: Animals mean a great deal to me, and I’m naturally very caring, empathetic and patient. I always take time to understand each animal’s personality and ensure they feel happy, comfortable and safe in my care. I have over five years of hands-on experience with dogs and cats. I adopted a pregnant cat and raised her seven kittens, finding loving homes for six of them in pairs and keeping one myself. I’ve also cared for my own small-breed dog, a Pomeranian, Pug and Chihuahua mix, for five years, alongside providing cat drop-ins and overnight stays for others over the last two to three years. I run my own fully remote business, so I can work from anywhere and provide plenty of company during house sits. I’ll carefully follow your pet’s individual routine, care for them as I would my own, and keep you reassured with regular photos and updates. I’m responsible, mature and always respectful of each owner’s home and preferences. I run my own fully remote business, so I can work from anywhere and have plenty of flexibility around pet care. During overnight house sits, I can work from the pet owner’s home and provide plenty of company throughout the day. I’m generally available on both weekdays and weekends for walks, drop-in visits and overnight stays, and I’ll always agree timings in advance and work around each pet’s usual routine. I currently provide care in pet owners’ homes rather than boarding pets in my own home. I’ll carefully follow all instructions relating to feeding, walks, toilet breaks, sleeping arrangements and individual routines. I always ensure doors, windows and gates are secure, keep dogs safely on their lead unless agreed otherwise, and never introduce pets to unfamiliar animals without permission. Before a first booking, I’m happy to arrange a meet-and-greet to learn about your pet’s personality, routine, veterinary details and emergency contacts. I’ll treat your home respectfully, keep everything clean and tidy, and provide regular photos and updates for reassurance.

About: Hello I am Giuseppina (aka Josie) I am an Office Manger and HR Assistant, heavily focused in People Engagement, ensuring teams are happy physically and mentally in the work space. I have had cats in my life for as long as I can remember! Grown up with cats. Currently I have two cats. Mochie and Calzini. I understand how important it is to feel secure knowing your cat is in safe hands when going on holiday or needing to be away from home for a few days. I would love to help. If needed please let me know. Josie I am flexible, catering for early Mornings and evening jobs. No caps on times. Happy to accommodate any routine. I work full time and in a permanent role. About: I I’ve got over 8 years of hands-on dog-sitting experience and have grown up around pets all my life. At home, I care for my two dogs, Cookie and Lola, and my two cats, Marvel and Zeus, so I’m very used to different personalities, routines, and little quirks. I also help out with my mum’s doggy day care, looking after a wide range of dogs, many of them are now long-term regulars who I’ve really grown attached to over time. It’s such a lovely feeling seeing familiar faces come back, and I’ve honestly fallen a bit in love with quite a few of them! This experience has helped me feel confident handling different temperaments and making sure each dog feels safe, settled, and genuinely cared for. I truly love what I do and always want every pet to feel like they’re in a calm, happy, and caring home. I work full time Monday to Friday, but I’m available in the evenings as well as full weekends and overnight care. I can offer a range of services including walks, feeding, playtime, sitting, and keeping your pet company. Due to living at home with other pets and family members, I currently offer pet care in the owner’s home. I’m always respectful of your space and will make sure to follow any house rules, routines, or specific instructions you have for your pet.

“Jessica was amazing with our Pickle! She made sure she was looked after in the day after she had had surgery and we had to be at work! We will definitely use her again Pickle was loved and looked after.”

About: Hyaa I’m Nikath! I’ve spent my life around dogs, not as a professional job, but as a genuine lifelong passion. I've grown up caring for my own dogs, many of whom were street dogs I raised from a young age. This taught me the patience and responsibility needed for everything from feeding and bathing to nursing pups back to health when they were sick. While I’m just starting to offer my help to others, I’ve always been the reliable person friends turn to when they need a hand. I am naturally very active, so I’m a great match for dogs who need more than just a slow walk. I’m happy to go on brisk runs or long treks to keep your pup's energy levels balanced. I’m an independent animal lover who will give your dog undivided, one-on-one attention. I value clear communication and will send you regular photo updates so you can see that your furry baby is happy and safe. I would love to meet you and your pup for a no-pressure chat to see if we’re a good fit:) I am currently a 6th form student, which means I have great flexibility! I am available throughout the weekdays and have full availability on weekends to provide dog walking or sitting. If I'm either staying over or just popping in for a walk, I’m really thorough about safety. I always double-check that all doors and gates are locked behind me and make sure your home stays exactly how you left it. I also take your dog’s habits and house rules seriously. If there are rooms that are off-limits or a specific way you handle meal times, I’ll stick to that 100%. My goal is to keep things consistent so your dog stays happy and you can relax knowing everything is under control.

About: - I used to live in Alaska, so I am used to and committed to winter walks, playdates and dog park visits. - I have experience providing 24-hour care for newborn puppies and senior dogs. - I am happy with dogs/puppies and cats/kittens and open to other pets. - I have administered prescribed medication such as tablets, ointments, and syringe medicine to dogs, and I generally ensure that I uphold a pet's routines while the owner is away. - I have done general grooming for dogs and cats (baths, drying, brushing, tooth brushing, nail clipping). - My longest house sit (& dogsit) was 40 nights. During house sits I am respectful of the owner's property, keeping it clean, tending to house plants, and being a good house guest. - I send lots of pics and regularly update the owners when they are away. - I am comfortable with clingy and independent pets alike. I've had some dogs that couldn't be left alone for their own safety and slept beside me, and some dogs that liked alone time. - I am also a considerate and responsible dog walker, properly disposing of dog poo. - I like to pet-sit for the companionship that pets offer and because, particularly with dogs and dog walking, it encourages me to go outside and go on walks, which is good for the dog and for me. - In the past, I have done housesitting while working remotely, so it meshed well with my schedule and was helpful for pets that needed round-the-clock supervision and company; now I am a student, so I have a similarly flexible schedule. - I'm waiting for school to start, and until then I have a largely flexible schedule and can housesit/petsit for several hours at a time, overnight or for a couple of days. - Available from *6 AM - 6 PM (*depending on your proximity to me) - Need 12 hours' notice minimum I keep food off the floor and counters and store it in cabinets/ fridge, out of reach of pets that like to sneak food off the counter. I ensure the water bowl is always filled so the pet is never thirsty. I regularly clean up food bowls so they don't lie empty and dirty between feeds. I change/clear the litter when it needs changing and keep the area around the litter clean. I properly dispose of any choking hazards and don't feed pets anything they shouldn't eat.
“Izzy did such a fantastic job of looking after our kitten Anzu - and Anzu absolutely loved her! We got photo and video updates, and Anzu has never looked as happy. Izzy is a natural with cats. She also stayed and kept our house in nice condition, and even put the bin out for us which we were grateful for. We really hope we can use Izzy again! ”

“Caitlin is amazing! I have no hesitation in highly recommending her services to look after your pet. Caitlin was confident when looking after our large dog, and we were updated with photos during the sit. We will absolutely be rebooking her again in the future when needed. Thanks so much x”

About: My brother's German Shepherd, Finn, I have looked after recently for six days while he had an eye infection. Finn is also a rescue with an anxiety condition and so needed medication administered. I also have experience with puppies as well. I feel therefore with my experience and calm demeanour I am a good pet-sitter. It also brings me great joy and contentment to be around pets. It is currently my only method of income, so I have a lot of availability in terms of schedule. This means that unless I have other jobs lined-up or a holiday for example, I will be completely free to care for your pet. In the pet's home I would be with the pet for as long as they needed, whether that meant constantly or only a little bit throughout the day. I also have experience of addressing health needs, and so would be very vigilant with that if needed. Overall I am always contented to be around pets, so would give them one hundred percent of my attention one hundred percent of the time.
“Gizem was great with my nervous Staffy Cross. They had a lovely play and sleepy cuddles, I got lots of pictures and returned home to a very happy dog :) I would recommend Gizem and use her again.”

About: I love interacting or taking care of cats, dogs, fish or any other animal. Enjoy walking, nature and love exploring. Also love caring for friends dogs or cats. I work at a school so am available during holidays and weekends. I love going for park walks anyway and own a car so could even take a dog somewhere different. I am also very happy to take in a dog or cat as I have a park very nearby to my flat I do not own any pets myself but would love to care for them. It is just budgets that do not allow that. I know that pets need attention, care, love and activities along with great nourishment for their development. I do also believe that they are like your child. I have experience in childcare also so can bring some of that knowledge to my care
About: My Dalmatian, Jack went to the Rainbow Bridge 14 days before Christmas 2024. It broke me completely. I have had to say goodbye to many over the years, but there was something about Jack that left me reeling for months. Caring for a pet is one of life’s most rewarding responsibilities, offering unconditional love, companionship, joy and laughter. Pets are not just something that we own, they are part of our family and deserve all the love, respect and as much attention as possible. I am called Nanny Biscuits because all the dogs in my family know that I am going to give them loads of cuddles and doggy biscuits if they are allowed. I am aware that not all dogs are allowed to have treats for various reasons and I am very comfortable with that. Your wishes for your pet have to be respected. I have found that if I look after a pet in my home, it is good to have a blanket or item of clothing from you that has the familiar smell of you and the home the pet lives in. Comfort items boost emotional safety and comfort which every pet needs if they are in unfamiliar surroundings. I work full time, Monday - Friday. I work from home on a Monday and a Friday. My job does not give me annual leave, but we get "vacation time". I have 3 weeks off over Christmas. Two weeks off at Easter and a week off for Whitsun. I am available throughout the summer from the last working day in July until the first working day in October. I do have "vacation duty" for two weeks this September from 14th September - 21st September. I am happy to care for your pet in my home or yours, or, wherever you pet feels safe and comfortable. Morning, afternoon and evening walks are always on the agenda, I enjoy dog walking, and I am also content with a dog that does not need as much exercise as others.

About: I’ve been a devoted pet owner to two dogs and have developed a deep understanding of animal care and behavior over the years. I have a natural gift for connecting with animals and creating a calm, loving environment where they feel safe and comfortable. Friends and family have relied on me to provide attentive care, including walking, feeding, playtime, companionship, and maintaining daily routines. I treat every pet with patience, compassion, and the same level of care I would give my own. I am currently working from home part time, so I'll have plenty of time to play with your dogs/s. I have a beautiful countryside around my home, peaceful area and open space fields where I can take your dog for long walks. I am available for boarding at weekends, and on a weekdays. I am looking forward to meet your animal companion. A Home Away From Home for Your Pet I know how important it is to leave your pet with someone you can trust. That's why I provide a warm, loving, and relaxed home where your dog will be cared for as if they were my own. Your pet will enjoy plenty of attention, cuddles, playtime, and companionship throughout the day. I have a secure, enclosed garden where dogs can safely run, play, sniff, and enjoy the outdoors under my supervision. Whether your dog loves long walks, playing fetch, or simply curling up for a nap after some affection, I'll make sure they feel happy, comfortable, and secure. I follow your pet's normal routine as closely as possible, including feeding times, walks, medications, and any special instructions. Every dog is unique, so I take the time to understand their personality, preferences, and needs to help them settle in and feel completely at home. I have a genuine love for animals and understand that they are cherished members of the family. My goal is to give you complete peace of mind while you're away, knowing your pet is receiving plenty of love, care, and individual attention in a safe and caring environment. I look forward to welcoming your furry friend into my home and giving them a fun, relaxing, and happy stay!
“What can i say? Mujde is amazing! I am always nervous leaving our big 30kg dog with new sitters, however I didn’t need to worry with Mujde. Our girl took to her instantly and now they’re best of friends. On the day of the sit we received regular updates and photos of how it was going and our girl had the best day ever. We will absolutely be booking Mujde again in the future for sure. Thank you so much. :-)”

She was absolutely lovely with Bimba and Siri and did a great job looking after them. She kept me updated with lots of photos, which really reassured me while I was away. I felt much more relaxed knowing they were in such good hands. I would definitely recommend her!

Over the past couple of years, Ellie has spent time with my dog on several occasions and has always been kind, patient, and attentive. She has a gentle and reassuring manner, and I have found her to be responsible and dependable. I would confidently recommend her to anyone looking for a dog sitter.

It was great having Maria sit for us again and have that continuity. She understands how picky our little dog can be with her food 🥒and is gentle and patient with her. Regular updates were really helpful & kept us feeling confident that things running smoothly. Thank you! 🐾🍎

Andrew was absolutely fantastic with Banksy while we were away on holiday. He made sure he was well cared for in the heat, taking him for walks early in the morning and later in the evening, while spending the day keeping him company. Banksy had so many adventures with him and absolutely loved him! Andrew also looked after our home, and we came back to it just as tidy as we had left it, which we really appreciated. We had complete peace of mind knowing Banksy was happy, safe and so well cared for. This wasn’t our first time using Andrew either — he looked after Banksy on our wedding day too, bringing him to the venue for the important moments and taking him home when it became too much for him. He was amazing then, and he’s been amazing again! We’ll definitely be using Andrew again next year and would highly recommend him to anyone looking for someone who genuinely loves and cares for dogs. 🐾❤️

Caitlin is amazing! I have no hesitation in highly recommending her services to look after your pet. Caitlin was confident when looking after our large dog, and we were updated with photos during the sit. We will absolutely be rebooking her again in the future when needed. Thanks so much x

Ellie came to look after my two girls for a couple of days and she was great! She messaged me upon arrival, sent lots of pictures and videos which I loved seeing their day. And they clearly loved her upon my return. Thanks Ellie! Will definitely hire again. :)

Rebeca was amazing! She looked after my cat in my home and did such a fantastic job. My cat absolutely loved her, which gave me so much peace of mind while I was away. I received loads of photos and updates throughout, so I always knew my cat was happy, comfortable, and well cared for. It was clear that Rebeca genuinely loves animals and went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. I wouldn’t hesitate to book her again and would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable, caring, and trustworthy cat sitter!

Caroline was amazing! We were quite anxious about leaving our 8-month-old Labrador puppy, especially as she was in season, but Caroline made the whole thing so easy from the start. She sent us loads of lovely photos and videos every day, so we could see how much fun Ruby was having and properly relax and enjoy our holiday. It was so reassuring, and it was obvious Ruby absolutely loved being with her. Communication was brilliant throughout, and Caroline even took Ruby to a pre-booked vet appointment for us, which was such a huge help. We honestly couldn't have asked for anyone better. Ruby absolutely loves Caroline, and we'll definitely be asking her to look after her again. Thank you so much, Caroline!

We are absolutely delighted with the care that Beccy offered to Nala. Her communication was brilliant, she made us feel relaxed from the very first message and gave us brilliant updates throughout the day. It’s obvious Beccy knows and understands animals very well, she recognised Nala’s personality immediately and offered her a calm and gentle greeting which meant it was easy for Nala to feel safe. We have a shy dog, but she warmed to Beccy in a matter of minutes. Which is a huge compliment. We really loved that Beccy was proactive in asking the questions she needed to help her look after all of Nalas needs. We felt more than comfortable having Beccy in our home, and she even made a fuss of our toddler which was lovely and so appreciated. I’m so glad we found you, we would love your help with Nala again in the future 🙌🏻

Shanon is as dependable as she is enthusiastic about dogs! Our little one loves spending time with her, so she's our go-to when we need a sitter. She regularly updates us with videos of our pup while we're away and it's clear she has a great time too. Can't recommend her enough! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Britney was amazing with my girls, Bella and Sasha! They were so well cared for, and Bella enjoyed her long walks with Ivory (Britney’s sweet dog). It felt like a little doggy friendship blossomed right there! When I got back home, both Bella and Sasha were calm, happy, and clearly very content which tells me everything I need to know. The house was also spotless and well looked after, which gave me such peace of mind while I was away. My girls can’t wait for more fun sits with Britney and Ivory in the future!

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Post & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Rubbish & recycling: Taking bins out on scheduled rubbish collection days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best time to agree on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a 'home cheat sheet' that includes your preferred Enfield walking routes, the location of your favourite pet shop, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes dedicated customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement programme for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page .
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Enfield choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a key safe or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. On Rover:
- 89% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 89% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 98% can help with daily exercise

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest vet. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorisation form for your regular vet. An authorisation form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
