I always prioritise safety, comfort, and trust. In a pet owner’s home, I follow their routines and instructions closely, making sure pets feel secure in their familiar environment. I keep doors and gates shut, use leads as instructed, and give them plenty of supervision. I also send regular updates and photos so owners can feel confident their pets are happy and well cared for. I appreciate big lists and specific instructions so we can both feel comfortable knowing that the animal is getting exactly what they need. If you need someone intuitive and sensitive to be able to pick up cue’s from your dog, I am that person :)

If your dog has any special needs, certain habits or tendencies, let me know, I promise it won’t scare me! Before booking it’s nice to know if your dog is comfortable being alone at all and if so how long; how many walks they require, and their energy levels so I can plan accordingly.
A typical day
I will adapt my style of care based on a dogs personality and preferences. For more anxious dogs I create a calming environment, speak softly, and will not overwhelm them with touch and close proximity without them initiating. If a dog is the other way around, and super social and affection hungry, then I will be talking to them all day, and giving lots of affection and attention. I’m happy to do several walks a day, training, play time, snuggles etc, as long as that is what your pet wants. I’m very good at reading animals, and know how to adjust my behaviour and approach depending on how they respond, and the information you give me about your pet.

Whether it’s long walks, belly rubs, or just keeping them company, I tailor my care to match your dog’s needs and personality. I’ll make sure they get plenty of exercise, attention, and affection plus photo updates so you can see their happy face every day. I’ve had a vast spread of experience, ranging from training young pups to supporting elderly or unwell dogs. I will love your dog regardless of its energy levels, affection levels or playfulness. I am here to adapt to and accomodate their needs. In most instances my base rates are fixed, but for extended care/ extra animals I am open to reasonable adjustments depending on the circumstances.

I can’t recommend Ellie highly enough. Although I was initially drawn to sitters with more reviews, Ellie’s profile stood out straight away thanks to her excellent communication and genuine willingness to care for our anxious dog. She visited a couple of weeks before our trip, asked thoughtful questions, and immediately put me at ease that our dog would be in safe hands. On the day we left, she arrived promptly despite the very early start, which we really appreciated. Ellie is clearly a true animal lover. Even when our dog went on a hunger strike on the first day, she was incredibly patient and attentive, helping him feel comfortable again. It wasn’t long before he had settled and was back to eating normally. Throughout our trip, Ellie kept us updated, asked helpful questions, and took great care of both our dog and our home - leaving everything even tidier than we left it. When we returned, our dog was calm and content, which says everything. I honestly felt quite emotional knowing how well he had been looked after. We wouldn’t hesitate to ask Ellie again and wholeheartedly recommend her to anyone. Thank you, Ellie, for making our first family holiday possible!
Ellie has visited my home a few times and always interacted well with my dog. She has a warm and calm approach. I find her responsible and dependable and I fully recommend her, she makes a great dog-sitter.
All I can say is thank god I found Ellie. Getting our puppy wasn’t planned, and we already had a holiday booked. I was contemplating whether to go or cancel. Thought I’d give Rover a try and came across Ellie’s profile. She lives local to me, which was a huge bonus as it meant she knew the area well. I instantly just felt a positive vibe after having a little conversation and instantly knew Eira was going to be in safe hands, which made my anxiety go away. Ellie was so keen to know every detail about Eira, from her sleep, day to day routine, and general care. We came home to a super happy, comfortable, well looked after pup. I really can’t recommend Ellie enough. Thank you SO much for looking after our baby. Ellie is the daughter of a close friend. Over the years I have called on Ellie on a regular basis to look after my pets (cats, dogs and rabbits). She is a welcome visitor to my home and my dogs are very happy when she's around as they know she will take them on long walks. Ellie is attentive, has a great personality and is fun to be around.
