“Excellent as always. Looks after my little dog as own and she’s loves them too. Feel relaxed that when we are away she is in safe hands. Also, house left spotless just as we left it. Thank you and highly recommend.”

“Leah looked after Wolf for the first time and we couldn’t be happier. She was caring, reliable, and instantly made us feel completely at ease. She kept me updated throughout via WhatsApp, sending pictures and regular messages, and was always very responsive. We’re truly grateful and would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a loving and trustworthy dog sitter.”

About: I have experience caring for a wide variety of cats and dogs, including tabby cats, British Shorthairs, and Sphynx cats. I have also looked after many different dog breeds and have grown up around animals, having owned Rottweilers and a Poodle, and I currently care for my Shih Tzu and two tabby cats. I am very confident handling pets of different personalities and needs, including dogs with separation anxiety. I genuinely enjoy working with animals and take pride in making sure they feel safe, comfortable, and cared for while their owners are away. My aim is to give pet owners complete peace of mind, knowing their pets are in safe and loving hands at all times. I am a full-time SEN secondary teacher, however I spend my spare time (after 15:00) caring for cats and dogs, including my own pets. I have a strong passion for animals and really enjoy providing them with attentive, reliable care outside of my working hours. I am also available throughout all school term holidays, so if you are looking for a full-time pet sitter during these periods, please feel free to get in touch. In addition, I am open to last-minute weekend bookings where possible. With owner permission, I also love taking dogs out for enriching walks to places such as local parks or forests to ensure they are happy, stimulated, and enjoying their time while in my care. I have a fenced garden with plenty of space for pets to safely roam and enjoy themselves. I also have a female, friendly Shih Tzu named Paris, who is very sociable with other dogs and is also comfortable around cats, as she has lived alongside my two tabby cats. My cats are generally independent and often spend time outdoors in the neighbourhood or relaxing in their own space indoors, so visiting pets are able to have a calm and low-stress environment. I always ensure any pets in my care are introduced slowly and safely where needed, and I prioritise their comfort and wellbeing at all times.
About: I've been around dogs as long as I can remember. I cared for my Frenchie from a puppy until a senior, as well as taking in other people's pets whilst they are away or aren't able to care for them. As a very active person, I love to go for long runs and adventures through forests or parks but am just as happy caring and hanging out with them when they need it. I have been pet sitting for years, however I began working with other people's pets as a part time job (I'm a professional dancer!) in 2022. Since then, I absolutely love it! I am a professional dancer and pet-sitting is my side job since I lost my beautiful dog of 12 years in 2022. I am quite available however I do leave the country occasionally to tour (this is always updated in my calendar in advance). My brother, who used to work in dog shelters in Bulgaria, is often available to cover me incase of ill-health, injury or unforseen circumstances. I have a fenced garden and a doggy door that gives pets free range to use the outdoor/indoors as they please. This can also be locked if necessary. I do have two cats who grew up with my dog for 5 years and got along with her very well. One of them is mainly outdoors, and the other is usually wherever people are. There are many beautiful parks in this area too that are safe for dogs and I regularly walk dogs around.
“Jessica was great with Millie after building up trust with a few walks before the overnight stay. Kept informed with messages and photos throughout day Would book with Jesstafain 😁”

About: I have had a few cats throughout my life and a deep bond with all of my friends' dogs, who I also often take care of and walk. I have experience in catsitting (for weeks) and dogsitting (for several days) through CatInAFlat and BorrowMyDoggy. I have a deeply present appreciation for animals and the ways we can connect and co-exist with them. I am gentle-natured, curious and quite regulated around animals, which helps them feel safe and at ease with me quickly. I am a freelancer who works from home mostly, so I have a lot of flexibility around my schedules and routines. I can travel locally to take care of pets. I have a large garden full of wildlife that cats and dogs both enjoy as it is very securely fenced with plenty of space to run around. The garden is also accessible from my bedroom so the pets can have unlimited access if appropriate/needed. I am comfortable picking up after dogs, patient with animals, and can help them feel regulated in a space through rest and play.
About: I have looked after family pets, dogs, cats, a parrot & rabbits for many years but would love to help others as well. I love walking and am happy to take dogs for a long walk. I love cats as well, I would be happy to keep them company for a while, administer medication & feed them. Recently I have looked after 5 cats which was an interesting experience. Luckily they all had name tags so that I knew who was who! I would be happy to stay overnight if necessary. I have recently retired from my teaching job (food technology) so I'm now available day & night to care for your pets or to walk your dogs. I have a very safe bungalow, the garden is fenced securely in which I can look after your dogs and plenty of room inside if the weather is bad.

About: I have always had a strong passion for animals and a natural ability to care for them. From the age of 14 to 16, I regularly walked dogs around my neighbourhood, building experience with different breeds and temperaments. I grew up with Rottweilers, so I am confident handling larger, strong dogs as well as smaller pets. I currently have a cat, who I have successfully trained to sit for treats, showing my patience and understanding of animal behaviour. I have also volunteered at animal rescues, further developing my hands-on experience and compassionate approach. I provide a loving, safe, and attentive environment for every pet in my care. My cat is both dog- and cat-friendly and has previously lived with a Rottweiler who is his best friend and still sees regularly, so I am happy to host pets that are comfortable around cats. I am also more than happy to care for dogs of any temperament in their own home, ensuring they feel relaxed and secure in a familiar environment. I have a flexible and reliable schedule, as I currently work part-time while my partner is at home full-time. This means there will always be someone present to give your pet plenty of attention, care, and supervision throughout the day. Together, we have lots of time to play, provide companionship, and ensure your pet feels comfortable and loved at all times. Whether it’s walks, playtime, feeding, or simply keeping them company, your pet will never be left feeling lonely and will receive consistent, attentive care. I offer a safe and comfortable environment for pets, with a large, fully fenced garden where they can play and explore securely. I live on a quiet, non-busy road, making walks calm and stress-free. I can also provide a crate if needed, whether for training, rest, or to maintain your pet’s usual routine. My home is a relaxed, pet-friendly space where your pet will feel safe, settled, and well cared for.
About: I’ve had 2 dogs with my family for more than 10 years and have taken care of them both. I can follow instructions easily and have experience in giving prescribed medications to dogs due to one of ours taking medication for most of his doggy life. I currently work 3 days in the office, 2 days working from home and off on weekends. I can care for your pet on the days I’m off and working from home easily. I’m comfortable with whatever the owner need and want for their pets as long as instructions are communicated. I own a car and can travel to places if needed.

About: I am a passionate and reliable dog lover with over six years of hands-on experience caring for dogs of all ages, sizes, breeds, and personalities. Throughout this time, I have looked after puppies requiring training and close supervision, energetic adult dogs needing regular exercise and stimulation, as well as senior dogs requiring patience, medication management, and specialised care. I understand that every dog has unique needs, and I take pride in providing attentive, compassionate, and personalised care to ensure they feel safe, happy, and comfortable while their owners are away. Whether it is daily walks, feeding, playtime, administering medication, or simply providing companionship, I always treat every dog as if they were my own. I am responsible, trustworthy, and committed to maintaining clear communication with owners, including regular updates and photos for peace of mind. My goal is to create a positive and stress-free experience for both pets and their families, ensuring each dog receives the love, attention, and care they deserve. Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine as I currently have a very flexible schedule and am available throughout the day. This allows me to provide pets with plenty of attention, companionship, exercise, and supervision rather than leaving them alone for long periods. I am able to accommodate regular walks, feeding schedules, playtime, medication administration if required, and any specific routines that help pets feel comfortable and settled. My flexibility also means I can adapt to the individual needs of each pet, whether that involves multiple walks a day, extra companionship for anxious pets, or more active engagement for energetic dogs. Because I have the time to dedicate to pet care, I can ensure that every pet receives the attention, affection, and personalised care they deserve. When caring for pets, I always aim to maintain their normal routine as closely as possible to help them feel comfortable, secure, and happy. I take the time to understand each pet's individual needs, including feeding schedules, exercise requirements, medication, favourite activities, and any behavioural quirks or anxieties. In a pet owner's home, I ensure pets receive plenty of attention, companionship, playtime, and exercise while respecting the owner's instructions and maintaining a clean and tidy environment. I provide regular updates and photos so owners can feel reassured that their pets are happy and well cared for. When caring for pets in my own home, I provide a safe, clean, and welcoming environment where they are treated as part of the family. Pets receive regular walks, enrichment activities, affection, and supervision throughout the day. I pay close attention to their wellbeing and behaviour to ensure they remain comfortable and stress-free during their stay. Above all, I believe every pet deserves patience, kindness, and individualised care, and I treat each animal as if they were my own.

About: As a cat owner (although we all know it's them that owns us!), I know how important it is that our fur-babies get the very best care. Leaving them behind can be difficult, which is where I come in 😊 I have loved and had cats throughout my life. I currently have a 1 year old called Taya, who is an absolute bundle of joy that loves to play. I currently work a hybrid job which allows me to be flexible and available throughout the week.
“David stayed at my house & looked after my senior dog. I was extremely anxious about leaving him for a week. David arranged to visit my dog 3 times before I went away. Despite being a senior, my dog is still very excitable & can be a “bit much” when he meets new people. However this did not phase David who took it all in his stride. I received regular updates & adorable photos while i was away which put my mind at rest. There was a few days of extreme heat while I was away but David made sure my dog was kept cool & out of the heat. My dog clearly felt happy & relaxed with David & the photo of my dog cuddled up with David proved that. My house was clean & tidy when I returned. I would recommend David to look after your dogs & would certainly book with David again.”

About: I'm an active, outdoorsy person who genuinely loves being around dogs. I take your dog's exercise seriously: proper walks, real time outside, and plenty of stimulation. My hands-on experience comes from regularly walking and caring for two very different dogs — a Staffordshire Bulldog and a French Bulldog. I’m currently working from home with good flexibility. I can work around the schedule for helping out. Weekends should be free in the day too. My flat is a cosy, well-kept one-bedroom on an upper floor — no balcony or outdoor space, but we’re just a 5-minute walk from a park, so dogs get outside plenty. There are a few flights of stairs to get up to the flat, which is worth knowing for smaller or older dogs.
About: I grew up with dogs, I beleieve their first language is love. They can feel it. A life without dogs is lifeless, I've been told my house is the 'Dog Rehab' They always leave feeling better. I work in media from home,i need walks as much as my dog because I beleieve it's essential to take a break from the screen and refresh my mind. Pets get alot of love and frequently rewarded in my home for just being beautiful animals. I have lots of treats. They love to be around me, but I do give them freedom to explore the home. Nothing dangerous around the flat as it's a pretty minimalistic w comfy rugs in the living room and dog beds in my room.
About: I work for a big dog corporation so I am around dogs every week and have also helped to raise my boyfriends Labrador Retriever Coco I’m currently working half the week in the office and the other days at home and also I am allowed dogs in my office. I love creating a special bond with dogs as they are honestly such a special part of life.

David and Elenor looked after our two bulldogs and our home for a fortnight. I could not recommend them enough; they were professional, friendly and very knowledgeable. I received regular photographs and little cute updates, putting my mind at rest and letting me enjoy my holiday knowing my pooches were in the best hands. Thanks again, guys. I can't wait to book them again.

Adina was amazing! She stepped in at the very last minute to dog sit my puppy and was an absolute lifesaver. Super responsive, punctual, and caring. Hugo adored her. Since I was traveling, she really put me at ease and sent me loads of updates, pictures and videos. I’d highly recommend her services!

Katie was a perfect house sitter for our 2 Goldens Heidi and Henry for 4 days. I would recommend Katie to anyone. She gave our 2 lots of play time and kept us updated regularly. The house was left so clean and tidy. Our train was delayed on our journey home and Katie stayed beyond her time to give them both their dinner. We couldn’t ask for a better sitter. Will definitely be using Katie again .

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Post & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Rubbish & recycling: Taking bins out on scheduled rubbish collection days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best time to agree on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a 'home cheat sheet' that includes your preferred Havering walking routes, the location of your favourite pet shop, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes dedicated customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement programme for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page .
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Havering choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a key safe or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. On Rover:
- 90% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 87% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 98% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest vet. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorisation form for your regular vet. An authorisation form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
