“We were really happy with the care Roslyn gave. She knows exactly how to handle our Chow Chow, and we could tell he was very comfortable with her. She also kept the house spotless, which is very important to us and we really appreciate it. She even left our dog clean and happy. We would definitely recommend her and would be glad to have her help again! 🐾 🦁”

“Clare was amazing looking after our dog Barley. She was lovely, respectful, and kept me updated throughout the evening which gave me great peace of mind as he has never been left with anyone other than family. Barley had a great time and was so relaxed when we got home. We’ll definitely be booking her again — highly recommend! Thank you x”

About: Hi! Though new to Rover, I am a lifelong dog lover with a solid background in dog care, known for my affection, reliability and attention to detail. I’m committed to earning your trust while providing your furry friend with the exceptional care they deserve. I grew up in a family that has always loved and cared for dogs. Being around them has been a big part of my life and I truly enjoy their company. I’m genuinely passionate about these companions and over the years I’ve provided care for pets belonging to friends, family and local clients. For me, it’s all about making every furry friend feel safe, loved and happy. With a flexible schedule, I’m able to dedicate plenty of time to your pet, giving them lots of attention, love and playtime. This also allows me to be fully present and responsive to their needs, ensuring they feel comfortable, safe and well cared for while you’re away. When caring for pets, my priority is always to make them feel safe, comfortable and loved. I follow their usual routines as closely as possible, feeding times, walks, playtime and any special instructions like medications or preferred sleeping spots. I make sure they get plenty of attention, affection and stimulation throughout the day. I treat every pet like they were my own, with patience, kindness and care.
“Corina was incredibly lovely and calm. Eddie is a very nervous dog and settled with her incredibly quickly, she even managed to get him out on a walk which can be difficult to do! She gave us regular updates whivh was fantastic”

About: What sets me apart is my ability to balance structured care with plenty of love and playtime. I make sure every pet feels safe, happy, and understood, whether that means high-energy walks for active dogs or cozy snuggles for older ones. Pet parents can count on me to be reliable, communicative, and genuinely caring, treating every pet as if they were my own. Currently I'm fully flexible for the foreseeable future ~ if not than my Wife os happy to accommodate/take over. Mon through to Sunday, any hours, just liase with me and I'll do my best to meet your needs. I am on the ground floor of an apartment complex situated near Greenhithe Station/Ingress Park. An outdoor sealed off balcony, safe for Dogs & I would say Cat's but they have no boundaries 😂 With plenty of outdoor and walking space.
“Our dog Pippa had a great time with Kezia when she came to dog sit for us. Kezia is very friendly and easy to work with, and Pippa was very at ease with her which made us feel reassured. Would definitely recommend.”

“Katie did an amazing job looking after our pets! She communicated ahead of time to understand their needs and idiosyncrasies and we really felt she would care for our pets and not just keep an eye on them. She was fantastic at keeping us updated about what was going on while we were away and we could tell they were having a good time in her company. Would definitely trust her to look afte them again next time we go away!”

“Kirsten was absolutely perfect for our dog Bertie she went above and beyond in caring for our elderly dog in what turned out to be a heatwave weekend. Plenty of photos and messages meant that we were able to feel happy about leaving him to attend our sons wedding”

About: I have an extensive history of working with dogs. I have owned working therapy dogs and have been working at a dog sanctuary for the past 2 years, handling dogs from all walks of life and all sizes. Dogs give so much love voluntarily and deserve that back. I insist dogs are walked for a good few mikes daily unless medically incapable. I will ensure they are fed to your specification and will follow any behavioural instructions you may have in place to ensure continuity. I am open to any questions you may have or to alleviate any concerns you may have. I am freely available for any pet care needs all I ask is for the advanced notice stated. I also have to collect my son from school on a Wednesday and every other Friday so the dog would need to be ok for a short period of time alone. I have a gated garden and a big field and woods near by. I can crate your dog if required. I am flexible and will work around your needs. If boarding, then dog/cat would need to be dropped and collected from my property.

About: Ive recently retired from work and dont now want to spend my time with humans any more! I had a collie/lab cross when my kids were small, and I look after my daughters Short Hair Border Collie on a twice weekly basis in his own home. Now thats a lively dog! We love cuddles and walks. We got him in lockdown, which was a challenge in itself, and he can be a little anxious, and needs much reassurance, which im happy to provide. Happy Dog, happy Nanny I am now actively retired, so can work around your timings. I am happy to provide overnight(s) care in your own home to keep continuity for your pet I will follow all safety guidelines, and observe all individual pet needs. I am happy to follow instructions as you know your pet best. Dogs dont generally like to see their humans disappear out the door, so I would aim to keep them happy, stimulated (as appropriate) and comfortable
“Renee took excellent care of Marvel. They had walkies, cuddles and I got regular updates with photos. Renee was prompt on time and communicated clearly before, during and after the sit. Looking forward to having her back and so is Marvel!”

“We met daisy a few days before she come and stayed at our house to look after our 4 bouncing bombs. She was a plaewuare to meet and hit it off with the dogs straight away. Jax suffers from anxiety so was a big deal for me due to having bad experience before when leaving them. But daisy made sure they Jax was put at ease and looked after. She treated them as her own and looked after our home which is exactly what we wanted we definitely recommend daisy and will live to get daisy to look after our dogs again if they haven’t scared her off with there constant kissing and madness ☺️💙💙💙💙”

I honestly couldn’t recommend Anya enough! She looked after our four dogs while we were at my sister’s wedding, and she was absolutely amazing from start to finish. Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Post & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Rubbish & recycling: Taking bins out on scheduled rubbish collection days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best time to agree on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a 'home cheat sheet' that includes your preferred Dartford walking routes, the location of your favourite pet shop, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes dedicated customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement programme for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover must pass an identity verification before they can list their services. An identity verification confirms that the sitter is who they say they are based on their documents.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page .
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Dartford choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a key safe or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. On Rover:
- 90% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 87% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 98% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest vet. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorisation form for your regular vet. An authorisation form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
