“Corina was incredibly lovely and calm. Eddie is a very nervous dog and settled with her incredibly quickly, she even managed to get him out on a walk which can be difficult to do! She gave us regular updates whivh was fantastic”

“Roslyn looked after Silas really well and he seemed very happy. She gave us lots of updates and seemed to intuitively know what he needed. She is obviously experienced and we will undoubtedly book her again.”

“Clare was just amazing! She sat my 2 year old mini goldendoodle, Tessy, for a week at my home. It was my first time leaving Tessy alone for longer than a couple of days and I was super nervous! Clare made the experience nothing short of perfect. From meeting a couple of times ahead of the stay to make sure Tessy was comfortable with her to keeping me regularly updated with lots of pictures which made me so at ease! Tessy absolutely loved her and looked so sad when Clare left. They had so many fun activities together! Clare also left the house and everything is great condition. I couldn't recommend her enough and she will always be my go-to person for Tessy's care. Thank you for making my girl so at ease and looking after her so well ❤️”

“Kirsten was absolutely perfect for our dog Bertie she went above and beyond in caring for our elderly dog in what turned out to be a heatwave weekend. Plenty of photos and messages meant that we were able to feel happy about leaving him to attend our sons wedding”

“Leaving Hazel for the first time was a nerve-wracking prospect for us, but finding Laura turned out to be the best decision we could have made. Our Goldendoodle loves everyone she meets, but as first-time users of a dog sitter, we were still anxious about leaving her with someone new. Laura immediately put all our worries to rest. She looked after Hazel in our home and took her on multiple walks throughout the day, ensuring she was completely fulfilled and thoroughly exhausted by the time we got back. Beyond that, Laura went above and beyond by cleaning up both Hazel and the house after their walks—a thoughtful touch we certainly didn't expect, especially since we told her not to worry about it! From start to finish, Laura was exceptionally friendly, punctual, and professional. Her communication was top-tier; she kept us updated throughout the day with plenty of pictures and messages, letting us know all the fun they were having. It allowed us to truly relax and enjoy a full day away, knowing Hazel was in the absolute best hands. We couldn't recommend Laura more highly!”

About: What sets me apart is my ability to balance structured care with plenty of love and playtime. I make sure every pet feels safe, happy, and understood, whether that means high-energy walks for active dogs or cozy snuggles for older ones. Pet parents can count on me to be reliable, communicative, and genuinely caring, treating every pet as if they were my own. Currently I'm fully flexible for the foreseeable future ~ if not than my Wife os happy to accommodate/take over. Mon through to Sunday, any hours, just liase with me and I'll do my best to meet your needs. I am on the ground floor of an apartment complex situated near Greenhithe Station/Ingress Park. An outdoor sealed off balcony, safe for Dogs & I would say Cat's but they have no boundaries 😂 With plenty of outdoor and walking space.
“Suraj was wonderful with our cocker spaniel. From the moment he entered the house he put Berry at ease and they got on really well. Suraj sent lots of photo updates and I felt totally secure knowing Berry was well looked after - we will definitely be rebooking!”

About: Hi everyone, I’m a genuine animal lover with years of experience caring for pets throughout my life. I currently have my own cat, Nahla, who I absolutely adore, so I understand how important it is to know that your pet is with someone kind, attentive and trustworthy. I’d be very happy to help with dog walking, cat/dog drop-in visits, feeding, companionship and pet sitting in your home. My aim is always to make your pet feel safe, comfortable and well cared for, and I’ll treat them with the same patience and affection I would give my own. I’m reliable, responsible and happy to follow your pet’s usual routine, including feeding instructions, walks, playtime and any particular preferences they may have. I’m also very happy to send you updates and photos while they’re in my care. My availability is generally flexible throughout the week, particularly from around 11am onwards. I can also accommodate mornings for regular arrangements. As I have a cat of my own, I’m currently focusing on care in the owner’s home rather than boarding pets at mine. If you’re looking for someone caring and dependable to look after your pet, I’d love to hear from you. 🐕🐈🐾 My schedule is currently quite flexible throughout the week, so I can accommodate daytime walks, drop-in visits and pet sitting. I’m generally available from around 11am onwards, although I can also arrange earlier mornings for regular bookings or when agreed in advance. Safety, Trust & Environment I always follow the owner’s instructions and the pet’s usual routine as closely as possible. I’ll take time to understand their personality, feeding schedule, walking habits and any specific needs before caring for them. I’m attentive, reliable and respectful of both your pet and your home, and I’m happy to provide regular photos and updates while you’re away.
About: I grew up around dogs and have been looking after them since I was about 12. I had a Shiba Inu of my own, so I know what it's like to really love a dog and want the best care for them when you can't be there. Friends, family and neighbours have always come to me when they need someone to check in on, feed or walk their pets. I regularly look after my friend's dog, and it's honestly the highlight of my week. I'm comfortable with dogs of all sizes and breeds. I offer walks, drop-in visits, and house sitting. I'll send you photos and updates so you never have to wonder how your pet's doing. I work flexible hours, so I can fit walks, drop-ins and house sitting around your pet's routine rather than the other way around. I'm available most days of the week and happy to adjust to whatever schedule works best for you and your pet. I live in a flat with no other pets, so your dog or cat will have my full attention during drop-in visits. For house sitting, I'll stick to your pet's usual routine, same walk times, same feeding schedule, same spots on the sofa. I'm tidy and respectful of people's homes, and I'll keep you updated with photos and messages so you can relax while you're away.
About: I’ve grown up around animals my whole life, so caring for pets has always been something I genuinely love and enjoy. I currently have a Jack Russell called Dexter who is full of energy and needs lots of attention. I’m used to taking him on regular walks, keeping him active and entertained, playing with him throughout the day and making sure he gets plenty of exercise and stimulation. Caring for a high-energy dog has taught me how important it is to be patient, attentive and adaptable to each dog’s individual needs. Furthermore, I trained Dexter from when he was a puppy up until he “graduated” from the course and now 7 years later he is still following instructions from everyone in the family as well as my friends who come over and meet him. I also have experience with caring for puppies and older dogs from pet sitting family pets I also had a Norwegian Forest Cat before Dexter, who I absolutely loved caring for. I was very involved in looking after him and he became very attached to me, I loved having a cat around, from spending time playing and giving them attention to simply keeping them company. I’ve also cared for family members’ dogs for periods of up to 10–14 days on at least five different occasions, taking responsibility for their everyday routines, including feeding, walks, toilet breaks, playtime and companionship. Being around animals of all different sizes and personalities from a young age has given me a genuine love for animals and confidence in caring for them. I am currently in my summer holidays waiting to go off to university at the start of October, meaning i’ve got a lot of free time on my hands especially in September, I am free anytime and happy to work around customer schedules, I have lots of experience with all different types of pets and i’m not put off by much. When i do go off for uni i’ll be located in Brighton but still back often especially in summer holidays where families tend to go away. Regardless I'm a short drive away from my house and happy to pop back home to help owners when needed I am unable to take care of pets in my own home as my dog does have anxiety and doesn’t get on with all pets, so there’s no way to know who he will get on with, but i’m happy to offer pet sitting in the owners home, as well as lots of fun walks, play dates and popping in to check on pets where needed. I do drive so it’s not a haste to pop by serval times a day when not spending the night
About: I am a cat mum to Bert (our rescue cat). I have walked friends/neighbours dogs. Most of my friends have dogs and my close friend has recently adopted a puppy so I have been spending lots of time with him. I have looked after friends’ cats too whilst they were on holiday. I have grown up with pets so have a real love for them. As a teenager, I looked after our rabbits. As a pet owner myself, I can assure you that your pet will be in safe, loving hands ❤️ I work full-time as a teacher but have the afternoons/evenings free to walk your pets and spend quality time with them. I can also do weekends any time, if you give me some notice. I will have more flexibility in the summer holidays too! I can visit your pet whilst you are away. I can feed them, clean litter trays, walk them, play with them and follow any care instructions that you may have.
About: Friends, neighbours and family have all counted on me to look after their pets. I have bathed, walked, pet sat, fed the pets that I have cared for. The care I have provided includes dog-walking. I am incredibly reliable, trustworthy, and flexible. I have plenty of free time to burn and have a blast with your cute pets! I am available in the morning & afternoon, but I'm flexible and can accommodate mornings and evenings too. If they have any specific needs/anything that I need to be aware about e.g. doesn't like traffic, other dogs etc. Also if you have any specific rules for your dog such as not being allowed on furniture or no treats during the day.
About: My experience is all personal. I have been a cat mama for 8 years now and I feel like they have taken me through the highs and lows of motherhood. From the depths of despair you feel when they're unwell or don't come home one night, to the joys of seeing them journey through anxiety and timidness to confidence and assertion. I do not have personal experience with dogs unfortunately, but I love and respect all animals and am confident enough to care for small and medium dogs. I work part-time and, therefore, have lots of free time to assist you in caring for your fur babies. My schedule changes week to week, but on average I work 2 days per week (predominantly week days). To care for your animals in your home I will be led by your instruction. I will want you to outline your expectations... after all, you know your pets better than I do! With expectations communicated I will deliver the highest level of care and respect, to your pets and your home.
“Katie did an amazing job looking after our pets! She communicated ahead of time to understand their needs and idiosyncrasies and we really felt she would care for our pets and not just keep an eye on them. She was fantastic at keeping us updated about what was going on while we were away and we could tell they were having a good time in her company. Would definitely trust her to look afte them again next time we go away!”

Pet owners share their Rover experiences - Dartford
Mariya and her family was excellent with rusty. I had noone to take care of him when I was travelling on holiday, and they took him in like he was family. They loved him. He loved them. Its as simple as that. He fit in nicely, slept with them (even if he did eat the cats food instead of his own) and I got photos almost everyday, of him in the garden, playing, or laying in bed with them. Excellent.

I honestly couldn’t recommend Anya enough! She looked after our four dogs while we were at my sister’s wedding, and she was absolutely amazing from start to finish. She was so caring and attentive, and our boys absolutely adored her. She kept us updated throughout the day with photos and messages, which gave us complete peace of mind and allowed us to fully enjoy thewedding knowing they were in the best hands. It’s so clear how much she genuinely loves animals, and our dogs were so happy and relaxed with her. We will 100% be using Anya again in the future. If you’re looking for someone to treat your fur babies like their own, Anya is the perfect choice. Thank you so much! ❤️🐾

- 98% can help with daily exercise

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest vet. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorisation form for your regular vet. An authorisation form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
