About: I have had a love for animals my whole life. I studied animal management and become a dog groomer at college to then go on to become a professional dog walker 7 years ago. I have dealt with all types of dogs young and old and also with different types of behavioural issues and sizes. I treat all dogs as if they are my own and give them the care and love they deserve. I have walked as many as 8 dogs on a walk but have also done solo walks. I currently have a couple of hours free each day int he mornings between 9.30-11.30 now working part time as well as some weekend availability for pet sitting I follow instructions left by owners and keep things as routine to the dog as I can. I am respectful and trustworthy with experience of pet sitting in others houses. I have experience with different breeds and temperaments.

About: All my life I’ve grown up and handled dogs with all sorts of personalities. From reactive German Shepherds to mellow King Charles Spaniel’s, I am confident to say your fur-babies will be in the most respectable, capable hands around. I run my own Pet Services & Dog Walking business throughout the day, so I can always be around for those much needed loo breaks, a cuddle to break the day up or even a friendly face for their snack times. I am very flexible and accommodating, feel free to drop me a message & I’m sure we can work something together. In my home, I have an enclosed garden which has a very sturdy fence all around along with hedges for that extra protection. If its preferred, I am more than happy to come along to your home.

About: My autistic son LOVES animals and so they have always played an important role in our home. Over the years we have owned and cared for 2 dogs, 7 cats, 2 guinea pigs a hamster, and a goldfish as well as the pets of family friends that we also care for. I have completed 'Dogs for Good' Family Service Dog workshops, have experience with senior care (our Japanese Akita lived til nearly 14 yrs old), have had our Cavapoo since puppy and have raised a litter of 5 kittens from birth. I home educate my son and as such we spend a lot of our time at home. We love nothing more than hanging out, snuggling with our cats and dog on the sofa during down time, playing with them in our garden and going for walks through the woods near our house. I have a large 20 sqm fenced garden which your fur babies would have full access to. I live on a quiet cul-de-sac with a recreation ground and woodland within a couple of minutes walk. I can accommodate a crate if your dog is crate trained.

The absolute best dog carer we've ever come across! Professional, caring, communicative, trustworthy - goes above and beyond to give your dog the best. Reya looked after our two cockapoos as well as my mum's two cockapoos for four days - so four cockapoos in total! She asked all of the right questions ahead of the stay which put us at ease and showed she genuinely cared about their routine and how to best care for them. During the stay Reya made sure all of dogs got equal levels of her attention and made the effort to play with them with toys and bubbles, give them regular walks, cuddles and even let them all sleep in her bed with her! One of the dogs, Coco, can be quite anxious and has had a traumatising kennel experience in the past but Reya managed to gain her trust pretty quickly which we found amazing and quite emotional to see. Reya even came back later on the last day to debrief the stay with us and told us all about each individual dog and how they behaved - she also put together an amazing video montage for us to watch showing everything they got up to! They really looked like they had the time of their lives! We feel so lucky to have found Reya and will not hesitate to book her again! Thank you Reya!

I am available to dog sit with full time care from Friday evening until Monday mornings. About: I'm a university student at Bath with a genuine love for dogs and real, hands-on experience caring for them. I have my own dog at home, so I understand the day-to-day rhythm of feeding, walking, and giving a dog the attention and routine they're used to. Alongside this, I've dog-sat for a range of dogs of different ages — from playful younger dogs needing exercise and stimulation, to older dogs needing a calmer, more gentle routine and extra patience. I know how unsettling it can be for a dog when their owner goes away, especially for longer trips abroad, so my focus is always on keeping their routine as normal as possible — regular walks, consistent feeding times, and lots of affection and reassurance throughout. I treat every home and pet I look after with the same care and respect I'd want for my own. As a student, I have the flexibility to commit to extended house-sitting stays, so you can travel with complete peace of mind knowing your dog — and your home — are being properly looked after. I'm currently between term times at university, which means I have full flexibility and can dedicate my whole day to your dog — no work schedule or other commitments pulling me away. Whether it's a morning walk, regular feeding times, or just being there for company throughout the day, I can build my entire routine around your dog's needs rather than fitting them around mine. This makes me well suited to longer house-sitting stays, since I can be consistently present and attentive for the full duration without needing to juggle anything else. When I'm house-sitting, I make it a priority to keep things as close to the dog's normal routine as possible, since I know changes in environment can be unsettling even when their owner's home is familiar to them. I follow the existing feeding schedule, walk times, and any specific habits or preferences the dog is used to, so their day-to-day life feels as consistent as it can while their owner is away. I spend plenty of time with the dog throughout the day — playing, walking, and simply being present — rather than leaving them alone for long stretches, since I know that company and attention matter just as much as the practical care. I'm also comfortable adapting to dogs of different ages and temperaments, having looked after both younger, more energetic dogs and older dogs who need a calmer, gentler approach. Alongside caring for the dog, I treat the owner's home with the same respect I'd want for my own — keeping things tidy, respecting their space, and making sure everything is exactly as they left it for when they return.

About: Hello, Thank you for checking my profile. I have been a dogowner since I was a young child. I've lived in several countries and have always included dogs in my life. I am experienced with temperaments of different dog breeds from terrier/spitz/maltese/schnauzer/shih tzu/cavalier/spaniel, however my specialty is poodle mixes. I moved to the UK in 2017. Back in 2019 when I was living in Wimbledon, I started looking after neighbours' dogs for walks and sleepovers. Since moving to Sevenoaks in 2021, I have been trusted by my neighbours to look after their furbabies from time to time. From puppies to seniors, rescue dogs, nervous pups, entire male, there's not a dog I can't handle. Every pup is unique in their own way and have lots of things to say.. which leads me to studying animal communication and healing. I also did a few paid housesitting work in Australia, Canada, US, France before having my own furbaby. I am able to look after 2 dogs so rest assure that your pet will have the ultimate care and attention that they deserve. I can also feed cats as needed. I am available at a short notice so please do not hesitate to get in touch. I am happy to follow your current schedule for walk, feeding time, toilet time, nap time and anything else that makes your dog(s) comfortable and secure. I have a small dog who's happy to be your dog's playbuddy. I will put your dog on leash when walked unless if requested not to.

About: I’m a dependable and compassionate pet sitter with a genuine love for all animals. I always provide a high level of care and attention and treat each pet as if they were my own. I take the time to understand their personalities, routines, and needs, so they feel safe, loved, and comfortable while you're away. I have had lots of experience pet sitting for not only my friends and family, but various others in my hometown. This means I am able to maintain a calm energy around anxious pets who aren’t familiar with me yet and quickly adapt to each individual animal’s personal needs. I’m looking forward to making lots of new furry friends! I’m a student at Newcastle University, but I am on summer holiday at the moment so I am extremely flexible and able to adapt to your needs! When I care for pets in their own home, I stick to their routine, giving them plenty of love, play, and attention. I respect your space, keep things clean, and stay on top of any special needs or meds. My priority is keeping your pet comfortable, happy, and safe.

We had a great experience using Rover and would happily recommend Ashleigh. She was friendly, confident, and immediately put us at ease. She came prepared with her DBS certificate, asked lots of thoughtful questions about our dog, and clearly cared about making sure he was comfortable. Throughout the stay she sent updates and photos, which was really reassuring. When we arrived home, our dog was calm, relaxed, and clearly very settled. We’ll definitely be using Ashleigh again in the future. was our first time using Rover and

About: I've been in the care industry for 7 years. Looking after family and friends dogs since I was 12. I absolutely love all dogs, any size, shape, personality, every one is unique. After completing a professional dog sitting job in the summer for 2 weeks with 2 beautiful dachshunds I realized how much I wanted to work with dogs full time. I have good patience for looking after puppies and senior care and I've never met a dog that didn't love me and I didn't love😂 At the moment I am only working part time as a nursery teacher so I am available almost every day any time. Just give me a message and ask and I will be free. When in the pet owners home I will follow all instructions to the tee and ensure the dog is always safe. When in my own home I will again follow any instructions you require. My garden is fully fenced in and you cannot get to the road or other gardens, when going walking they will not be taken off the lead unless specifically requested and confirmed

About: As a family we have had cats and dogs all our lives. Since our bundle of joy Saskia came along we have found new levels of dog walking fun in all weathers in our local parks where we meet so many amazing pups and their owners. Our Shih Tzu Saskia is super friendly with dogs and cats and will adapt to your pets needs whether they want to play all day or simply chill. I also have friends and family who are experienced dog carers too. We just love being with these amazing fluffy friends. 😀 I am available flexible hours as I am a self employed. I like to be outdoors on walks a fair amount especially when the weather permits, however we are out in all weather's as long as it suits the pets needs. I walk our pup in the beautiful countryside by our home and other local parks daily. We also have a secure garden and a car to drive to other locations. Our pup and feline are used to being around other cats and dogs. I can be with the your pets at all times where required.

I currently own a toy yorkie and have experience grooming her and larger dogs (such as rough collies I used to own). I love keeping animals entertained by training them, playing and taking them on good walks. I am a very loving, energetic and reliable person so you can be assured that your pet will be in good hands and I can send regular updates with pictures throughout the day. I also love learning more about animal nutrition ensuring they always have a healthy diet suited to their needs. I am also flexible with my hours as I’m a freelancer so work from home. Therefore your pets will be with me 24/7 so we can discuss what care is best for them and you. I have a walled garden and am nearby many parks so it’s the perfect play for your dog/cat to stay.

About: I have over 10 years of experience caring for dogs and cats of all ages, sizes and temperaments. Having previously owned a reactive dog, I’m confident handling nervous, energetic and strong-willed pets with patience, consistency and understanding. I tailor my approach to each pet’s individual needs, whether that’s long walks, playtime, enrichment, or simply providing companionship while you’re away. I pride myself on being reliable, attentive and trustworthy, and I’ll keep you updated with photos and messages so you know your pet is happy, safe and well cared for. Every animal in my care is treated as if they were my own. I currently work within education so the majority of my walks/visits will be during both evenings and weekends, with my availability increasing over the school holiday periods. I currently reside with my (hardly) working cocker spaniel whose main interests involve stealing both people’s socks and their hearts. It’s because of him that I take such an interest in helping others in the care for their pets.

FAQs for House Sitting - Sevenoaks

Frequently asked questions about Rover

The average cost for House Sitting in Sevenoaks on Rover is £37.95 per night (as of July 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.

Rover makes budgeting the cost of House Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for House Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .

As of July 2026, there are 15,421 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Sevenoaks. Enter your postcode to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:

  • Post & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
  • Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
  • Rubbish & recycling: Taking bins out on scheduled rubbish collection days.
  • Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.

The best time to agree on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a 'home cheat sheet' that includes your preferred Sevenoaks walking routes, the location of your favourite pet shop, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes dedicated customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement programme for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Every sitter on Rover must pass an identity verification before they can list their services. An identity verification confirms that the sitter is who they say they are based on their documents.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page .

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Sevenoaks choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a key safe or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. On Rover:

  • 91% of sitters can help with special care needs
  • 87% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 98% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest vet. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.

For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorisation form for your regular vet. An authorisation form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.

Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
