“I couldn’t have asked for a better house sitter than Dominika. She looked after my cat Riah for five days and from the very first meet and greet I felt at ease - she’s so warm, knowledgeable and clearly loves animals. While I was away, she kept me updated every day with the sweetest photos and messages, which made me feel so close to Riah even from afar. When I came home, Riah was happy, relaxed and full of cuddles - the best sign that she had been cared for with love. My apartment was also spotless, which was such a thoughtful extra touch. I felt completely safe leaving Riah in her hands and I honestly couldn’t recommend Dominika highly enough. I’ll definitely be booking her again without hesitation!”

“Lucie was very professional and caring for our cat. She sent us regular updates and photos. She followed feeding/ playtime instructions and also left our place in clean state. I would definitely recommend Lucie as a sitter. :)”

“Kari was absolutely lovely and our dogs adore her. She took them to the paddock and they had their own holiday while we were on ours. Both dogs and cats were very calm when we returned and we had great communication with Kari. I highly recommend her and we will definitely use her services again.”

“Kirsty looked after our two dogs for us in our home while we were away on holiday. The dogs clearly adore her and Kirsty is very responsive to their needs, adjusting their walks and organising enrichment activities to ensure that they got both mental and physical activity. Kirsty also kept them well groomed, even bathing them when they got particularly dirty playing in our garden. Kirsty kept in touch with us while we were away and sent us regular updates, photos and videos. We came home to a tidy house and happy hounds. We will be engaging Kirsty’s services again.”

About: I’ve been a cat owner for the last 8 years and love him as if he were my child! I’ve also been around dogs for as long as I can remember and absolutely adore them. I’m very comfortable with animals of all personalities and always make sure they feel safe, loved, and well cared for. I currently work full-time, with a flexible working schedule that allows me to work both from the office and from home. I’m mainly available after 3pm on weekdays, and I’m available throughout the day at weekends. I’m happy to work around your dog’s routine wherever possible and make sure they receive plenty of care, attention and companionship. 🐾 I’ll make sure your dog feels happy, safe and comfortable in their own home while you’re away. I’ll follow their usual routine, from feeding and walks to playtime, cuddles and plenty of attention. I’ll treat your home with the same care and respect as I would my own, giving you peace of mind that your dog is in loving and reliable hands. 🐾❤️
“I was really nervous to be away from my fur babies foe over a week and after struggling to find a sitter last minute. And then I found the diamond that is Basak. She has jusy been wonderful. She took really good care of the pets and the house and keep me updated as often as I needed to be. If anything felt off, she would be telling is us right away. Our babies will miss her”

“Eloise was fantastic with our dog, Zoe. She gave regular updates and was comfortable giving Zoe eye drops. Eloise went out of her way to meet with Zoe before she looked after her which was wonderful and gave me total confidence in how well Zoe would be cared for.”

“Poppy looked after our rescue dog, Freddie, for the day - she took good care of him, including taking him on a walk, and listened carefully to our instructions about how to manage his reactivity to other dogs. We would happily use her services again 😊”

“Dakota was amazing with Poppy and exceeded all my expectations. She kept me updated constantly with lots of photos and messages, which made me feel so reassured while away. Poppy is blind, and Dakota handled her needs so naturally and thoughtfully, showing so much kindness, patience, and attention. It was obvious Poppy felt comfortable and cared for with her. I’m incredibly grateful and honestly couldn’t recommend Dakota more highly. I’ve already arranged to book with her again in the coming weeks, which says everything! Thank you for taking such wonderful care of Poppy. 🩷”

About: I've taken care of dogs, cats, chicken and any and all kinds of animals since I was around 8. But I've had my own dog since i was 12, i am more than experianced w animals! During times w no school I am free to attend to your pet's needs but when I'm back to uni that might change a bit unfortunately. When tending to a lovely pet's needs its important to consider its personality. Different animals needs different things! About: My name is Madalena, and I have a twelve-year-old daughter named Victoria. I grew up with German Shepherds and Huskies, and I have done an Equestrian course. I volunteered for twelve years for several NGO’s with hundreds of underprivileged children, and in recent years, I have founded an American branding company that works with animal welfare organisations and sustainable brands. We had also the privilege to have volunteered on animal shelters and NGO’s throughout the world. Since my work can be done remotely, in recent years, both my daughter and I have fulfilled our dream of travelling the world, but we felt that we were missing out on living surrounded by pets like I did in my childhood. We volunteered with abandoned dogs in Mexico and cats in Cambodia. We are passionate about taking care of animals. and we have been lucky enough to make great friends with several pets and pet parents and come back again and again. My daughter Victoria is even writing a book about the superpowers of pets and needs some inspiration :-)! We are based in the UK and would love to care for your pets. We look forward to hearing from you soon. Since my work can be done remotely, in recent years, both my daughter and I have fulfilled our dream of travelling the world, but we felt that we were missing out on living surrounded by pets like I did in my childhood. We volunteered with abandoned dogs in Mexico and cats in Cambodia. I own 100% of my branding company, so even though I work every day from home, it is remotely and with all the flexibility and accessibility needed. Therefore I can be daily available for per care. We have been taking care of pets at the owner’s home but I am happy to star caring for them at our own home if preferred.

“Andrew is superb. He immediately made friends with our dog and concentrated on their welfare for a whole 10 days, including a veterinary issue. He is lots of fun as well as being very responsible, and looked after the house too. If we need to we will certainly use him again and recommend him unreservedly.”

“We needed to go away for a wedding the other weekend. Alexsandra was available and did a pre-stay visit to meet Alfie (17 months old mischievous pup) and our 14 year old cate. Alfie took to Alexsandra straight away and we could she that she was going to get on well with both animals. Alexsandra arrived promptly, looked after the house and pets, she answered messages within minutes and she kept us fully informed about both animals while we were away and, above all else, she was reliable - such an important characteristic. I would have no hesitation in recommending Alexsandra as a house and pet-sitter and I will want to use her services when we next go away.”

“We couldn’t be happier with the care Colin provided. He is incredibly responsible, conscientious, and gentle with our dog Zeus, who is still in training and needs patience and consistency. He took excellent care of both our home and our pets (dog and cat) and everything was clean and well cared for on our return from holidays. We fully trust Colin and can’t recommend him highly enough for his outstanding service.”

About: I am an animal lover who has grown up around animals (cats, dogs, parrots, rabbits - you name it!). I have been walking dogs casually for a few months now in the area (including my gorgeous dogs bella and harper). I am looking for pet sitting or walking jobs in South East London as I am located in Bromley. I am also flexible with hours! I am a current student so my summers are very free and involve relaxing at home, tv, reading and painting. Im always available for dog walking and feel free to enquire more information on my pet sitting availability . If you have any specific requirements for your pet then feel free to message me or let me know prior. When taking my dogs on walks i ensure they hydrated and had a good stretch and tend to let them tell me when they’re ready to go back home (depending on timings and if they’ve been out long enough!)

Pet owners share their Rover experiences - Bromley
Dominika is a fantastic dog sitter. She has looked after our young cavapoo many times. She’s 100% reliable and trustworthy and so good with dogs (patient and kind). She’s also just a great house guest if pet sitting for longer periods - leaving the place cleaner than when she arrived! Very highly recommended!

I honestly cannot recommend Kari more. We went on holiday for a week and Kari was more than happy to take on the role of fur baby mummy in our house. She sent us photos every day of our dog and two cats, and we felt very safe having them in her company. Our house was kept immaculate and looked like no one had even been staying there! She was even so kind as to restock on our cats food when we ran out and got some treats for our doggy. We will definitely use Kari again! Xx
What an absolute gem of a human Andrew is! He was great at communicating before the sit as I was a bit nervous as a first time user of Rover. Our dog, Poppy, is a sensitive, intuitive soul but it was clear from the moment Andrew arrived they were going to get on so well. She loved him! Andrew treated our house with respect and our kids loved chatting and getting to know him at the start and end of the sit. We would rebook Andrew in a heartbeat and recommend him to anyone who needs a sitter who is sensitive, gentle and intuitive.

We are so lucky we found the lovely Evie! Evie is friendly, reliable, trustworthy and absolutely incredible with our dogs. We have a rescue dog who isn’t the easiest to handle and old fussy dog and Evie was amazing walking and looking after them both. I highly recommend her as a dog sitter although I don’t want to share her :) It was a lot more enjoyable going on holiday knowing the dogs and house were in safe hands x

I am extremely pleased with the service from Georgia. She was very kind and came to meet us first. She followed all instructions very carefully and kept us updated with photos and videos throughout the day. She ensured that Maya our Siberian Husky had her full meal and took her on a long walk multiple times due to Maya’s high energy levels. Maya was extremely calm and happy on our return. I would certainly recommend Georgia as a dog sitter and will have no hesitation in contacting her again :)

Hazel did an amazing job looking after our dog, Alfie, yesterday. She was incredibly friendly and lovely from the start, and kept us regularly updated throughout the day, which we really appreciated. It was clear that Alfie absolutely loved her and felt comfortable in her care. Hazel followed all of our instructions carefully and was a pleasure to deal with. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend her!

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Post & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Rubbish & recycling: Taking bins out on scheduled rubbish collection days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best time to agree on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a 'home cheat sheet' that includes your preferred Bromley walking routes, the location of your favourite pet shop, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page .
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Bromley choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a key safe or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. On Rover:
- 90% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 89% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 98% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest vet. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorisation form for your regular vet. An authorisation form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
