“I couldn’t have asked for a better house sitter than Dominika. She looked after my cat Riah for five days and from the very first meet and greet I felt at ease - she’s so warm, knowledgeable and clearly loves animals. While I was away, she kept me updated every day with the sweetest photos and messages, which made me feel so close to Riah even from afar. When I came home, Riah was happy, relaxed and full of cuddles - the best sign that she had been cared for with love. My apartment was also spotless, which was such a thoughtful extra touch. I felt completely safe leaving Riah in her hands and I honestly couldn’t recommend Dominika highly enough. I’ll definitely be booking her again without hesitation!”

About: I grew up on a farm and I have cared for domestic animals most of my life. I have 2 Persian cats of my own who require significant maintenance due to their long hair and face shapes. I'm usually the go-to friend for pet advice as I enjoy learning about different breeds. In addition, I am currently taking cat grooming courses to allow me to better take care of long-haired cat. I currently work flexibly from home and fit petsitting around my schedule. I enjoy playing with pets and doting on them with cuddles if they like and allow it. I ensure all instructions from owners are followed explicitly. I can ensure cats/dogs are kept cool in hotter months and keep regular contact with owners where any issues arise. At every visit, I'll take and forward pictures and videos of your pet to put your mind at ease while you are away.
“Dakota was amazing with Poppy and exceeded all my expectations. She kept me updated constantly with lots of photos and messages, which made me feel so reassured while away. Poppy is blind, and Dakota handled her needs so naturally and thoughtfully, showing so much kindness, patience, and attention. It was obvious Poppy felt comfortable and cared for with her. I’m incredibly grateful and honestly couldn’t recommend Dakota more highly. I’ve already arranged to book with her again in the coming weeks, which says everything! Thank you for taking such wonderful care of Poppy. 🩷”

“We needed to go away for a wedding the other weekend. Alexsandra was available and did a pre-stay visit to meet Alfie (17 months old mischievous pup) and our 14 year old cate. Alfie took to Alexsandra straight away and we could she that she was going to get on well with both animals. Alexsandra arrived promptly, looked after the house and pets, she answered messages within minutes and she kept us fully informed about both animals while we were away and, above all else, she was reliable - such an important characteristic. I would have no hesitation in recommending Alexsandra as a house and pet-sitter and I will want to use her services when we next go away.”

“Kirsty was absolutely fantastic, we booked her on very short notice and she was incredibly helpful and communicative. We did a house sitting stay and she left the house perfectly and our dog seemed to very much enjoy her time with Kirsty in the communications sent whilst we were away! I would definitely recommend.”

“Pyrrha was just amazing with my anxious mini dachshund. He has separation anxiety. She was very comfortable and competent with taking care of him. When I got back he was calm and relaxed. She is kept my place tidy and clean which was much appreciated. I hope she can take care of him again, soon. She’s very kind and caring.”

About: I've grown up with dogs since I was 7 years old. We rescued different ages and breeds- from seniors to puppies, from Chowchow mixes to Yorkies- so I am comfortable with all kinds of ages and energy needs. I currently dogsit for my aunt who has the sweetest senior labradoodle named Nori! I am a self-employed actor and nanny, so I have a very flexible schedule throughout the week. Particularly in the mornings and afternoons. I am also able to travel. My work as a nanny/dogsitter requires me to do the majority of my job in other people's homes so I am accustomed to following specific house rules and operating respectfully and responsibly in homes while caring for your pets.
“I was really nervous to be away from my fur babies foe over a week and after struggling to find a sitter last minute. And then I found the diamond that is Basak. She has jusy been wonderful. She took really good care of the pets and the house and keep me updated as often as I needed to be. If anything felt off, she would be telling is us right away. Our babies will miss her”

About: I've looked after lots of wonderful dogs over the years, and one of my favourite things is getting to know their unique personalities. Every dog is different, from playful and energetic pups to gentle senior dogs and those who need a little extra patience because they're anxious or shy. I understand how important it is to tailor my care to each dog's individual needs so they feel safe, comfortable, and happy while they're with me. I'm truly passionate about making sure every four-legged friend is loved, well cared for, and treated like part of the family when they're away from their owners. I know how much trust it takes to leave your dog in someone else's care, and I always do everything I can to make them feel relaxed, secure, and loved. I'm always happy to chat about any specific routines, preferences, or needs your pup may have, and I look forward to making some new furry friends! I work from home three days a week, so when I'm available for pet care, your dog will enjoy plenty of company, attention, and regular breaks for walks, playtime, and cuddles throughout the day. At weekends, I love exploring the local parks on long walks before relaxing in my little front garden - it's the perfect spot for a furry companion to enjoy some fresh air and sunshine alongside me. A day with me for your pet will always involve lots of love, care, and companionship. I live on my own in a cosy ground-floor flat with a secure garden, providing a calm and comfortable environment for your furry friend.
“Kari was absolutely lovely and our dogs adore her. She took them to the paddock and they had their own holiday while we were on ours. Both dogs and cats were very calm when we returned and we had great communication with Kari. I highly recommend her and we will definitely use her services again.”

About: Before I moved to the UK I took care of my 2 dogs and 2 cats. After I moved I have had my baby Tomas (cat) for 11 years. As much as people want to say cats are “low maintenance” I think I got the short end of the stick… Because my cat is VERY high maintenance, so I am always taking care of his wants and needs but also giving him a lot of love. I have my cat however the two pets will be separated as my cat is a house one and is very scared of new buddies.
“Fabienne loves dogs and took good care of our anxious Jake. She stayed at our flat for 10 days and sent us updates about Jake and how they got along. Fabienne also looked after our flat at the same time and we came back to a clean flat.”

About: I’ve had dogs all my life from staffs to cockapoos, my mum is a dog walker herself and I love to go on walks with her and all the doggies. I dog sit family dogs and friends dogs including some of my mums customers too. I absolutely love doing this and make sure all dogs and cats are treated like my own ❤️ I am currently working part time, so my full attention will be on your furry friend! I love going on long walks with my dogs and would love to do the same with yours ❤️ I always have my full attention on your animals at all times. I am flexible so animals will be fed on time, walked when best suits them and will look after your home like I would at my own.
“We couldn’t be happier with the care Colin provided. He is incredibly responsible, conscientious, and gentle with our dog Zeus, who is still in training and needs patience and consistency. He took excellent care of both our home and our pets (dog and cat) and everything was clean and well cared for on our return from holidays. We fully trust Colin and can’t recommend him highly enough for his outstanding service.”

About: I have worked at many Dog walking companies and Doggy daycares and would like to do this more locally now. I have also had family dogs since the age of four and I would always help walk them. I recently got my own puppy as well so I am very used to all stages of a dogs life and what may be needed to ensure they get the most out of walks or play. I'm currently not working so I am free whenever you need a sitter/walker. I am free anyday for boarding, dog walking or simply just a quick check-in. I have a puppy of my own at home but if your dog is not friendly with others then I am more than happy to look after them at your home. I usually like to ask for your dogs routine so I don't break it (such as sleeping, eating, walks, ect..) and the rest of the time I will always look for signs in what your dog would like to do next. I would also send pictures of your dog throughout our time together (if you want) so you can feel happy knowing they are having a lovely time! I look forward to meeting you!

Pet owners share their Rover experiences - Bromley
What an absolute gem of a human Andrew is! He was great at communicating before the sit as I was a bit nervous as a first time user of Rover. Our dog, Poppy, is a sensitive, intuitive soul but it was clear from the moment Andrew arrived they were going to get on so well. She loved him! Andrew treated our house with respect and our kids loved chatting and getting to know him at the start and end of the sit. We would rebook Andrew in a heartbeat and recommend him to anyone who needs a sitter who is sensitive, gentle and intuitive.

We are so lucky we found the lovely Evie! Evie is friendly, reliable, trustworthy and absolutely incredible with our dogs. We have a rescue dog who isn’t the easiest to handle and old fussy dog and Evie was amazing walking and looking after them both. I highly recommend her as a dog sitter although I don’t want to share her :) It was a lot more enjoyable going on holiday knowing the dogs and house were in safe hands x

I was really nervous to be away from my fur babies foe over a week and after struggling to find a sitter last minute. And then I found the diamond that is Basak. She has jusy been wonderful. She took really good care of the pets and the house and keep me updated as often as I needed to be. If anything felt off, she would be telling is us right away. Our babies will miss her

I am extremely pleased with the service from Georgia. She was very kind and came to meet us first. She followed all instructions very carefully and kept us updated with photos and videos throughout the day. She ensured that Maya our Siberian Husky had her full meal and took her on a long walk multiple times due to Maya’s high energy levels. Maya was extremely calm and happy on our return. I would certainly recommend Georgia as a dog sitter and will have no hesitation in contacting her again :)

Dominika looked after our pug Luca for two weeks and was absolutely amazing. She stayed at our flat, took great care of everything, and even left a flower as a lovely touch when we returned. She is warm, kind, and genuinely caring — Luca adored her! Communication throughout was excellent; we always felt reassured knowing our dog was in such good hands. We couldn’t recommend her more highly. 🐾

Hazel did an amazing job looking after our dog, Alfie, yesterday. She was incredibly friendly and lovely from the start, and kept us regularly updated throughout the day, which we really appreciated. It was clear that Alfie absolutely loved her and felt comfortable in her care. Hazel followed all of our instructions carefully and was a pleasure to deal with. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend her!

We couldn’t be happier with the care Colin provided. He is incredibly responsible, conscientious, and gentle with our dog Zeus, who is still in training and needs patience and consistency. He took excellent care of both our home and our pets (dog and cat) and everything was clean and well cared for on our return from holidays. We fully trust Colin and can’t recommend him highly enough for his outstanding service.

Shivani is fantastic! Our dog, Kaju, is usually nervous around others, but she gets super excited every time she sees Shivani. Shivani shares a lot of updates throughout her visit. We can feel relaxed when we step out knowing that our puppy is in good hands. We highly recommend her and we've already booked in several visits for the next few months with her.

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Post & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Rubbish & recycling: Taking bins out on scheduled rubbish collection days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best time to agree on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a 'home cheat sheet' that includes your preferred Bromley walking routes, the location of your favourite pet shop, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes dedicated customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement programme for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page .
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Bromley choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a key safe or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. On Rover:
- 90% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 87% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 98% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest vet. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorisation form for your regular vet. An authorisation form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
