“Dominika was very responsible and took great care of Richie while we’re on holiday for 4 days. She responded very timely and kept us updated every day with pictures and videos of Richie. She not only took care of Richie but also my garden and left the house really clean and tidy! Would highly recommend and come back if we ever need someone to take care of Richie again!”

“What can I say, other than Poppy is a life saver! She accepted my last minute request whilst I was holidaying on the other side of the world and my booked dogsitter had abandoned Bear. I'm hugely grateful and it looks like Bear had a good time too. Poppy administered some medication effectively as well as noticing limps. She house sat for 10 days. I highly recommend. Thanks again”

“Leaving your pup, and your home, with someone you don't know is not easy, but from the moment we met Basak, both Loki and I had no doubts. Highly recommended for peace of mind when you're away!”

“Fabienne loves dogs and took good care of our anxious Jake. She stayed at our flat for 10 days and sent us updates about Jake and how they got along. Fabienne also looked after our flat at the same time and we came back to a clean flat.”

“Kirsty was brilliant sitting our two dogs; she kept them engaged and content, and followed all our instructions/requests to the letter. We received regular updates while we were away and came home to two very happy girls who clearly adored their new “pack member”.”

“We needed to go away for a wedding the other weekend. Alexsandra was available and did a pre-stay visit to meet Alfie (17 months old mischievous pup) and our 14 year old cate. Alfie took to Alexsandra straight away and we could she that she was going to get on well with both animals. Alexsandra arrived promptly, looked after the house and pets, she answered messages within minutes and she kept us fully informed about both animals while we were away and, above all else, she was reliable - such an important characteristic. I would have no hesitation in recommending Alexsandra as a house and pet-sitter and I will want to use her services when we next go away.”

About: Hey there, i’m Marina, a very caring and loving person and full time lover of cats and dogs My experience with dogs originates from having a family Yorkshire that we got as a puppy. Later on when i moved to England, I lived with a family and took full time care of their dog, we used to go on walks every morning after the school run and at lunch time. Our neighbour had the exact same dog but a male and often I used to take both of them on walks to the nearby fields. I have also taken care of my boyfriend’s family cats, they have 4 tabby cats who are very sweet and demanding. I usually feed them and administer medicine to Lucy, their oldest cat, when they go away. I also sit with them making sure they get some attention. I have previously occasionally looked after friend’s dogs by taking them on walks and feeding them. I’m currently working full-time from home so I am able to sit in other people houses or at home and give attention to your pets for as long as needed. I usually care for my boyfriend’s family pets, 4 tabby cats who are quite senior and demanding, usually require feeding at different times of the day and oral medicine for two of them due to health issues. As well as constant affection as they love to sit next to me whilst working I always prioritise the health and well-being of animals in my care. My approach involves maintaining their stablished routines as i can imagine it must be hard for them to be away from the people they are used to. I’d provide consistent attention and ensuring they are safe and clean. I’d also keep an eye for any signs of distress or concern if it arises
“Francesca is absolutely brilliant, Maisie adores her and loves when she looks after her, she always has a really positive energy when we get home and we feel really relaxed leaving Maisie with her. Highly recommend.”

About: I’ve been surrounded by dogs and cats my entire life they’ve always felt like family, not pets. That means I know the little things: the anxious pacing before a vet visit, the difference between a bored bark and a worried one, how much reassurance a senior dog needs on stiff mornings. I’m naturally patient and observant, I’m the person who reads every instruction twice and never guesses when it comes to medication or feeding schedules. Your pet won’t just be looked after here. They’ll be genuinely cared for, the way I’d want mine to be. Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine. I have flexible availability throughout the week, including mornings, evenings, and weekends, so I can be consistent with feeding times, walks, and playtime. I prioritize keeping a regular schedule because pets do best with routine, and I build visits or stays around what works for your pet’s normal rhythm Your pet’s safety and comfort always come first. In my home, I keep a pet-friendly, secure space free of hazards, with fresh water and a comfortable resting area always available. When caring for pets in their own home, I follow their established routine closely, keep their environment clean and secure, and stay alert to anything unusual in behavior, eating, or energy. I treat every home and pet with the same respect and attentiveness I’d want for my own.

About: I absolutely love both dogs and cats. I’ve always had pets in my life — back in Ukraine, I had a dog who was part of my family for 17 years, as well as a cat. I also regularly look after dogs belonging to friends and family, so having a four-legged guest at home feels very natural to me. I am the sole caregiver for all pets in my care — no one else assists me with pet sitting or dog walking services. I have a flexible schedule and can spend plenty of time at home with pets. I can fit pet care easily into my daily routine and make sure they get regular attention, feeding, playtime and company. I’m happy to follow each pet’s usual routine and give them the care and attention they are used to. I want every pet to feel safe, calm and comfortable in my home. I follow their normal routine, make sure they always have fresh water and a clean, comfortable space, and give them plenty of attention and affection. I’m happy to follow any specific instructions from the owner and will always treat each pet with the same care and respect I would give my own
“Dexter loved Dakota. House sitting went perfectly, Dakota is a great young lady, very responsible and mature. Managed all Dexters needs and made sure he had lots of fun. Highly recommend and will be re-booking. 🤩”

“Mikaela was absolutely fantastic with my dog. She made him feel so comfortable at home, took him for regular walks and updated us regularly with pictures. My Puppy look so content and relax when we got back home. Mikaela has an amazing temperament and she is very calm with the Dogs. I would highly reccommend Mikaela.”

“Pyrrha was just amazing with my anxious mini dachshund. He has separation anxiety. She was very comfortable and competent with taking care of him. When I got back he was calm and relaxed. She is kept my place tidy and clean which was much appreciated. I hope she can take care of him again, soon. She’s very kind and caring.”

About: I have loved dogs and cats my whole life, family and friends have asked me to look after their dogs and cats. From washing and feeding to sleepovers. I enjoy taking care of all types of dogs and cats. Having two dogs myself one huge and one not so huge I am prepared for it all. I see pets not as animals but as family members. I currently work full time, and have all the time to take care of your lovely pets on the weekend. I am also available on the weekdays in the early mornings and evenings. I am also committed to last minute bookings and can work to arrange my routine around your pets. I will always ensure your pets are safe, as I would do with my own. By communicating with you, the owner to understand what your pets do and don’t like we will always come to a solution.

About: I've looked after lots of wonderful dogs over the years, and one of my favourite things is getting to know their unique personalities. Every dog is different, from playful and energetic pups to gentle senior dogs and those who need a little extra patience because they're anxious or shy. I understand how important it is to tailor my care to each dog's individual needs so they feel safe, comfortable, and happy while they're with me. I'm truly passionate about making sure every four-legged friend is loved, well cared for, and treated like part of the family when they're away from their owners. I know how much trust it takes to leave your dog in someone else's care, and I always do everything I can to make them feel relaxed, secure, and loved. I'm always happy to chat about any specific routines, preferences, or needs your pup may have, and I look forward to making some new furry friends! I work from home three days a week, so when I'm available for pet care, your dog will enjoy plenty of company, attention, and regular breaks for walks, playtime, and cuddles throughout the day. At weekends, I love exploring the local parks on long walks before relaxing in my little front garden - it's the perfect spot for a furry companion to enjoy some fresh air and sunshine alongside me. A day with me for your pet will always involve lots of love, care, and companionship. I live on my own in a cosy ground-floor flat with a secure garden, providing a calm and comfortable environment for your furry friend.

Irina was wonderful again! She stayed in our house to look after our 6 year old Cavachon and he’s been extremely well looked after. Together with her husband, Andrei, they have built a great bond with Pip and also trained and supported him to be off lead in a safe space. The care and attention is exceptional 😀 We received very regular photos and videos of Pip and updates on him. When we returned after 5 weeks the house was immaculately clean. Even my house plants were thriving which never happens with me! Irina is a truly caring and respectful dog sitter in your home. Thank you Irina and Andrei!

Dominika looked after our very elderly dog (18 years old) with multiple health needs for 10 days while were on a family holiday. He took to her straight away and I can honestly say that he had a new lease of life when we got back. We got regular updates and he was obviously very happy. She looked after the house and garden for us too. I can highly recommend her.

I honestly cannot recommend Kari more. We went on holiday for a week and Kari was more than happy to take on the role of fur baby mummy in our house. She sent us photos every day of our dog and two cats, and we felt very safe having them in her company. Our house was kept immaculate and looked like no one had even been staying there! She was even so kind as to restock on our cats food when we ran out and got some treats for our doggy. We will definitely use Kari again! Xx
What an absolute gem of a human Andrew is! He was great at communicating before the sit as I was a bit nervous as a first time user of Rover. Our dog, Poppy, is a sensitive, intuitive soul but it was clear from the moment Andrew arrived they were going to get on so well. She loved him! Andrew treated our house with respect and our kids loved chatting and getting to know him at the start and end of the sit. We would rebook Andrew in a heartbeat and recommend him to anyone who needs a sitter who is sensitive, gentle and intuitive.

We are so lucky we found the lovely Evie! Evie is friendly, reliable, trustworthy and absolutely incredible with our dogs. We have a rescue dog who isn’t the easiest to handle and old fussy dog and Evie was amazing walking and looking after them both. I highly recommend her as a dog sitter although I don’t want to share her :) It was a lot more enjoyable going on holiday knowing the dogs and house were in safe hands x

I am extremely pleased with the service from Georgia. She was very kind and came to meet us first. She followed all instructions very carefully and kept us updated with photos and videos throughout the day. She ensured that Maya our Siberian Husky had her full meal and took her on a long walk multiple times due to Maya’s high energy levels. Maya was extremely calm and happy on our return. I would certainly recommend Georgia as a dog sitter and will have no hesitation in contacting her again :)

Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Post & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Bromley choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a key safe or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. On Rover:
- 90% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 89% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 98% can help with daily exercise

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest vet. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorisation form for your regular vet. An authorisation form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
