I will look after your fur baby as I would my own
I’ve always grown up with cats and dogs in the home having recently lost my childhood dog I really feel a sense of loss and would love to regularly spend time with dogs again. I trained my dog as a puppy and as an elderly dog I was giving her regular medication both tablets and injections, having three senior cats myself currently I also am confident and comfortable medicating cats as well . I’m also very aware that many senior animals need small regular meals and do this with my cats as well as with my dog in her golden years. Beyond that I have spent time in Zimbabwe looking after street animals where on top of general care I also performed basic vet care (treating and dressing wounds, identifying potential illnesses, treating long term conditions and helping with physiotherapy / rehabilitation) so your baby is in safe hands with me :)

I struggle with speaking highly enough of Poppy. This housesitting booking was a special one, because I needed her to take care of my dog while I was off having a baby. She was so kind, so accommodating, so communicative that I did not have to worry about my little geriatric dog. Poppy is so sweet and my dog loves her. Short story long: Poppy’s vibes are immaculate and I am so grateful that someone of her character was available to help me out at this profound time. If you are lucky enough to book her, you should.
Poppy is flexible and was great with my staffy, I've come home to a very tired girl! I would recommend and use her again.
Poppy was great with Nala Nala is a very shy a dog with new people but they bonded so well. I highly recommend her
Poppy looked after our rescue dog, Freddie, for the day - she took good care of him, including taking him on a walk, and listened carefully to our instructions about how to manage his reactivity to other dogs. We would happily use her services again 😊
Poppy's looked after Banjo several times now and is always communicative and reliable. She's also generally lovely and clearly loves animals. Would definitely recommend!
Poppy has been looking after Louie for us for years! He’s such a gentle soul but very anxious, unsure of himself and others so it’s so lovely to see how excited he is when she arrives to look after him - especially when we are going on holiday it’s such a relief knowing he’s going to be well cared for. Poppy is very reliable and accommodating she always is happy to do whatever we need her to in order for Louie to be at his happiest even if it means walking him at strange hours of the day!

Schedule
I am currently a student at the LSE so I’m very flexible time wise as I’m able to study and complete any work from home. It also means it’s easy for me to be very attentive as there is often not that much work for me to be doing !

Im happy to take dogs out multiple times a day for long or short walks depending on your preferences and happy to stick to your regular routine whatever that may be :)
A typical day
A typical day with me involves lots of attention, exercise, and fun activities which are always tailored to the dog’s needs and your preferences. I love the outdoors and staying active so I’m always excited to go for long walks in new places, play games like fetch or tug-of-war, and I’m also always keen to set up interactive toys or puzzle tasks. Whether your dog loves being active or prefers a more relaxed pace, I’ll make sure they get plenty of exercise, playtime, and cuddles. My goal is to ensure your dog is happy, healthy, and well-cared for.
