About: Hello! I'm 30 year old and currently work as a PhD student in a Cancer Research group. I grew up in a big house where I had all kinds of animals. For a long time as a renter, I was not allowed to keep pets and that is what got me into pet sitting. I am available to take care of your pet and rest assured they will receive lots of attention and cuddles. Please just message me to enquire. I'm happy to give medication but I am not certified to give injections. I hope you consider me as your next pet career and looking forward for your contact. Rita

“Many thanks to Howard for taking care of our cat Bugsy while we were away for a short break. It was good to know that there was someone responsible and caring to look after our old chap. The regular updates were appreciated as was the plant care during our absence. Would definitely recommend.”
“Richard came and looked after my dogs for a week over the Christmas period. He did a 5 ⭐️ job of looking after my 2 dogs. I really can’t rate him highly enough. He sent regular updates which was fab to receive while I was away and I felt that my dogs were well cared for at all times. He left our house so tidy, it was a pleasure to come back to. A huge thank you to Richard for doing a first class job.”

“Jess was lovely, I am a very stressy cat mum as well as the fact he is currently on cage rest which makes me extra anxious! she was very responsive even with 9 hour time difference, The flat was tidy when I got back and there was also some extra food left lying around! She also washed the bed sheets for me :) Thankyou! 🖤”

“Julia did a great job looking after Kiki. She arranged a meet and greet to get to know Kiki and understand her needs prior to the sit. She was easy to communicate with & did a great job looking after Kiki during the sit. I would happily have her look after Kiki again.”

“Iwona was very kind and friendly and our dogs loved her staying with them. We got plenty of updates while we were away which we appreciated. She was very thorough with our instructions and followed them precisely. Able to give one of our dogs her medicine each day as well. Overall, would recommend Iwona for any dog walking or pet sitting.”
“Natasha did a great job looking after Kiki. She was punctual, easy to communicate with and Kiki really loved her! Kiki can sometimes be anxious with a new person but she was very chilled when I returned. I'd be happy to have her look after Kiki again.”

“Rachel house sat our dog and 2 cats on a weekend. She kept us up to date on how their day was going and sent some lovely photos. Also looked after our house well. Thanks for your help Rachel”

“I’ve just returned from a 10 day holiday and was able to relax while away as Emilia was looking after my Golden Retriever in my home. She was excellent with him. I was able to monitor him in the garden via my camera App and could see he was happy playing and wagging his tail, so not stressing that I was away. She took him for walks twice a day and did all that I requested of her. I would certainly have her look after Dylan again and be more than happy to recommend her to anyone looking for a pet sitter.”

About: We’re Jay and Si, just two dog people without a dog of our own! We really miss having one around and would love to share our time (and sofa) with yours. We’re super easygoing and reliable, and will treat your pets like part of the family with lots of love and cuddles. We usually work from home three days a week. Jay on Fridays, and Si is flexible. Weekends are usually pretty relaxed too, unless we’re travelling. But we’ll always do our best to help out if we can. Your dog will get lots of attention and affection from us. We’ve got a few big parks close by, so it’s really easy to keep active. We’ve both grown up around dogs, so we know the drill keeping them safe, happy, and cared for.
“We are so pleased we found Merrily and she was available to look after Dotty. From the outset when she had her first meet and greet with Dotty we could tell she was going to put her needs first and was an absolute delight to deal with. Merrily sent regular updates and took Dotty on all sorts of adventures; it was one of the first holidays I have taken as a pet owner where I have had zero worries about leaving. Would thoroughly recommend working with Merrily.”

About: In my family home we’ve had over 8 dogs - currently 5 as you can see in my picture! That means I have heaps of experience when it comes to looking after breeds of all different personalities, shapes and sizes. Now I’ve left home to live in London, I take whatever opportunities I can to look after my friends pets while they’re away and feel they have always been very happy with the job I’ve done I currently work from home 3 days a week. And I go into the office on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, leaving me free from Thursday to Monday In general, I’m a very reliable, trustworthy and friendly person. Having grown up around dogs and just being a genuine animal lover, I understand how important they are to people and their families. I would never do anything to put your dogs safety in jeopardy and my experience looking after dogs also means that I am aware of potential risks, something which unfortunately many are not aware of. Not only will your dog be kept safe but it will be loved and made as comfortable as possible at home in my spacious 2 bed flat, where they will also have the use of a garden (this is currently not fully fenced so this will be via the use of a lead). We also have nice parks nearby which we will be sure to use for walking as to your dog’s delight I am also an avid step-counter!
About: Since very young age I demonstrated loving pets and enjoying being around them. In my childhood I had a lovely poodle, and we have happy moments until she was 13 years. I am currently working part time, so most of the time I am doing housework or exercise/ external activities, so why not do this while taking care of pets (what I love) and having some company? :) I am always checking what the pet is doing and his safety, I know this is very important. Also I will be doing the best for his comfort and being respectful with their limits.

Pet owners share their Rover experiences - Sutton
Grace was an absolutely amazing sitter.she gave us daily updates and photos as we had asked her to. The house was clean and tidy on our return. We would not hesitate to use her services again, she gave us the confidence to go away again and leave our precious fur baby in her capable hands.

Kiah and Ed were brilliant with both of our cats Byron and Junior and looked after our house and garden very well whilst we were away. Considering how tricky the set up is in our house they managed everything perfectly. We received photos and updates twice daily and communication was seamless. Wouldn’t hesitate to book them again and highly recommend.

Mel is just lovely. She was happy to meet us and little Soda pup before our puppy sitting dates. This made my husband I feel super comfortable about leaving our 3 month old pup at home for the first time. During puppy sitting Mel sent us photos and updates the whole evening and it looked like Soda had the best play date. We’d love to book with Mel again x

Megan looked after our 2 Frenchies, one of which is still a puppy. We had a really great experience with Megan, especially as it was such a last-minute booking. She was super accommodating, sent plenty of photos and updates, and both dogs looked very happy and settled! Would definitely recommend her!

Iwona looked after my dog Stella for 8 days and I could not have had a better experience. My dog has some serious health issues and so I'm very careful who I leave her with. With Iwona, I quickly had absolute peace of mind and could relax without worrying whilst away. Iwona is on the one hand, warm, friendly with a seemingly natural affinity with dogs and yet equally and crucially, showed the utmost professionalism, responsibility, judgment and more. I was away whilst a heatwave was in place and Iwona made adjustments to my dog's schedule in order to allow for this all the while, keeping me informed and working with my dog's schedule/needs. Iwona is an excellent communicator and we had daily checks ins and photos/videos which is of course so nice to receive whilst far away from home. Iwona was very comfortable receiving notes as they relate to my dog. Indeed, she placed great importance on understanding my dog's needs, routine, habits, preferences. My dog is clearly very happy and settled in Iwona's care. I am so pleased to have found Iwona and would wholeheartedly and unreservedly recommend her to anyone looking for a sitter/carer for their much-loved pet. Thank you Iwona!

I could not recommend Sara more! She was absolutely incredible with Zedley, sent daily updates and looked after him as if he was her own. We were away for over 10 days and I felt completely relaxed and at ease knowing he was so well looked after. There is no doubt in my mind that Zedley misses her now. Thank you for being so amazing Sara

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Post & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Rubbish & recycling: Taking bins out on scheduled rubbish collection days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best time to agree on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a 'home cheat sheet' that includes your preferred Sutton walking routes, the location of your favourite pet shop, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes dedicated customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement programme for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover must pass an identity verification before they can list their services. An identity verification confirms that the sitter is who they say they are based on their documents.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page .
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Sutton choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a key safe or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. On Rover:
- 89% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 89% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 98% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest vet. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorisation form for your regular vet. An authorisation form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
