Neetal is terrific. She spent the day looking after my cockapoo. He appears to have had a super day! She asked lots of great questions before I left and so went off confident he was in good hands. Then she sent me frequent pictures and updates throughout the day. I was hugely reassured. She walked him, played in the garden and gave lots of snuggles. I felt he had loads of attention. When I came back the house was in good order and I had a very happy dog. Perfect!

Dealing with Richard was a pleasure from beginning to end. He looked after our elderly dog Dennis so well and kept us updated with photos. The house was spotless when we got back and we would definitely book Richard again if he can fit us in.

Merrily is a hit with our cats! She has taken a lot of time out to learn how to deal with our cat’s special needs, and it’s clear she understands and loves animals. We also had a lot of communication and photo/video updates during the weekend house sitting for us which was reassuring. Thank you so much!

About: In my family home we’ve had over 8 dogs - currently 5 as you can see in my picture! That means I have heaps of experience when it comes to looking after breeds of all different personalities, shapes and sizes. Now I’ve left home to live in London, I take whatever opportunities I can to look after my friends pets while they’re away and feel they have always been very happy with the job I’ve done I currently work from home 3 days a week. And I go into the office on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, leaving me free from Thursday to Monday In general, I’m a very reliable, trustworthy and friendly person. Having grown up around dogs and just being a genuine animal lover, I understand how important they are to people and their families. I would never do anything to put your dogs safety in jeopardy and my experience looking after dogs also means that I am aware of potential risks, something which unfortunately many are not aware of. Not only will your dog be kept safe but it will be loved and made as comfortable as possible at home in my spacious 2 bed flat, where they will also have the use of a garden (this is currently not fully fenced so this will be via the use of a lead). We also have nice parks nearby which we will be sure to use for walking as to your dog’s delight I am also an avid step-counter!

Iwona did a great job of looking after Loki. She went out of her way to make sure he was happy. Iwona understands all different dog breeds including spaniels and is very confident with handling all their different needs. She made sure she gave him lots of exercise and stimulation and was very dedicated and caring. We received lots of photos while we were away and she ensured that we had complete peace of mind that both Loki and our house was well looked after.

What a great find Conner was! Booked rather last minute, Conner was able to dog sit for our puppy Maggie, who he was brilliant with. He arrived on time, totally understood the needs of a puppy and was really accommodating when we were delayed and back later than planned. I cannot fault Conner as a dog sitter, plus he's clearly a lovely guy! I hope he will be able to look after Maggie again in the future.

About: We’re Jay and Si, just two dog people without a dog of our own! We really miss having one around and would love to share our time (and sofa) with yours. We’re super easygoing and reliable, and will treat your pets like part of the family with lots of love and cuddles. We usually work from home three days a week. Jay on Fridays, and Si is flexible. Weekends are usually pretty relaxed too, unless we’re travelling. But we’ll always do our best to help out if we can. Your dog will get lots of attention and affection from us. We’ve got a few big parks close by, so it’s really easy to keep active. We’ve both grown up around dogs, so we know the drill keeping them safe, happy, and cared for.

About: Whilst growing up, I have been constantly surrounded by animals. From owning chickens to geckos. Most importantly me and my family had a toy poodle “Dylan”. Dylan recently passed away at the age of 12 a few months ago and with a LOAD of free time after university dog sitting seems like a perfect opportunity. For a few years now I have been looking after friend’s dogs and cats whilst they have been away and I am more than confident I can do an excellent job. As a recently Graduated University student I have more than enough time on my hands. Lots of my time as of late has been spent lounging at home and going for “brunch walks”. Adding a pet into this routine would do more than fit in, it would add so much to my day. There is no third party assistance used under my care Since Im currently living at home, there is a WHOLE family house for your pet to enjoy. It also helps my siblings have moved out meaning plenty of rooms to explore. I have a fenced off garden with more than enough space, and toys left over from our old family dog. There is plenty of green spaces around, and a lovely pet community at any park around.

About: Hello! I’m Anna a lifelong cat lover with over 10 years of hands-on experience caring for my own boy, Prince, who I adored for over a decade. I understand cats deeply, their personalities, their moods, their routines, and their boundaries. I’m gentle, patient, and very tuned in to how animals feel. I’ve looked after anxious cats, affectionate cats, playful cats, and older cats who needed extra comfort. Because I recently lost my own cat, I have a huge soft spot for making other people’s pets feel loved, safe, and calm while their owners are away. I know how important it is to trust someone with your pet, and I treat every cat as if they were my own.

About: I've been passionate about dogs from an early age but being unable to own my own dog in my house I resorted to spending my time with people who did have dogs, always the first to offer dog/house sitting whilst friends and family are on holiday, walks in the parks on my days off whilst friends are at work. I currently work part time for a dog walking service in Wimbledon but are looking to start a pack of my own. At the moment I am studying for a Level 3 Pet Care qualification and am also looking into a new career of veterinary assistant nursing and will hopefully have volunteering hours in a vet in the not too far future!!

About: Hi there! I’m Stacy, a pet sitter based in Sutton, and animals have always been a huge part of my life. I grew up surrounded by pets — I have three family pets back home in Siberia, whom I dearly miss. I first started pet sitting for friends, and since I work mostly from home, I decided to turn my passion into something more. I offer dog walking, pet sitting, boarding, and overnight care. Before any booking, I like to meet your pet so I can get to know their personality, routine, and any medical needs — that way they feel comfortable and cared for right from the start. I’m experienced with both dogs and cats, and I’m happy to help with feeding, medication, and following special routines. My daily rate for pet sitting is £40. If you’re looking for a caring and reliable sitter in Sutton, I’d love to chat and meet your furry friend! I work from home and can work part-time as a pet sitter from anywhere. Currently would prefer to work Friday-Sunday if I were to board the pet or stay at your house, but I am flexible. I live in a pet-friendly apartment in one of the new developments in Sutton, near Manor Park, easily accessible. I am very pet-friendly, so pets are welcome to sleep with me if they wish to.

About: I am a relaxed, fast learning walker who loves to walk. I am experienced in taking care of dogs who require extra care and attention due to their behaviour. I'm currently working part-time, so that means I have plenty of time to walk, play and look after your dogs. I want to know the dos and don'ts with your dog so I can create a safe and relaxed environment so your dog isn't scared or uncomfortable. As a fellow owner with a nervous rescue I would never want to put your pet through any kind of stress. I have an up-to-date DBS which I can share upon request if I'm house sitting. Please tell me where I can stay, where is off limits and key information (such as the nearest vet, your pet's dietary requirements etc.).

About: Hi, I’m Jay — a caring and reliable dog walker and pet sitter in South London. I’ve been around dogs for as long as I can remember — growing up with them from a baby right through to early adulthood. Since then, I’ve continued to dog walk and pet sit for friends and families whenever life has allowed, including cat sitting and boarding too. I’m comfortable with dogs of all sizes — from playful puppies to big, strong breeds — and I’ll always tailor walks and care to suit your pet’s routine and personality. I’m also comfortable administering medication (though still growing my experience here) and I’m especially interested in developing my knowledge in dog behaviour and training, so I’m always patient, observant, and gentle in my approach. ✅ Enhanced DBS checked (through my professional work as a midwife & doula) ✅ Certified in Pet First Aid & Life Support ✅ Flexible Monday–Friday (10:30–20:00), with some weekend availability Whether it’s a long park walk, a quick drop-in, or some cuddles at home, I’ll treat your pet like one of my own — with care, respect, and lots of love. I’d love to arrange a meet & greet so you and your pet feel fully at ease. I currently work part-time with my clients, so I have plenty of time to care for your dogs. Most of my availability is during the week, perfect for owners heading into the office or traveling Monday to Friday, with some weekend slots also available! I believe movement is medicine, so I love active, playful walks and games with dogs. At the same time, I’m calm and attentive with pets who are anxious or adjusting to new environments, ensuring every visit prioritises safety, trust, and companionship.

Iwona looked after my dog Stella for 8 days and I could not have had a better experience. My dog has some serious health issues and so I'm very careful who I leave her with. With Iwona, I quickly had absolute peace of mind and could relax without worrying whilst away. Iwona is on the one hand, warm, friendly with a seemingly natural affinity with dogs and yet equally and crucially, showed the utmost professionalism, responsibility, judgment and more. I was away whilst a heatwave was in place and Iwona made adjustments to my dog's schedule in order to allow for this all the while, keeping me informed and working with my dog's schedule/needs. Iwona is an excellent communicator and we had daily checks ins and photos/videos which is of course so nice to receive whilst far away from home. Iwona was very comfortable receiving notes as they relate to my dog. Indeed, she placed great importance on understanding my dog's needs, routine, habits, preferences. My dog is clearly very happy and settled in Iwona's care. I am so pleased to have found Iwona and would wholeheartedly and unreservedly recommend her to anyone looking for a sitter/carer for their much-loved pet. Thank you Iwona!

FAQs for House Sitting - Sutton

Frequently asked questions about Rover

The average cost for House Sitting in Sutton on Rover is £28.75 per night (as of August 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.

Rover makes budgeting the cost of House Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for House Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .

As of August 2026, there are 17,018 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Sutton. Enter your postcode to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:

  • Post & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
  • Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
  • Rubbish & recycling: Taking bins out on scheduled rubbish collection days.
  • Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.

The best time to agree on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a 'home cheat sheet' that includes your preferred Sutton walking routes, the location of your favourite pet shop, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes dedicated customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement programme for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Every sitter on Rover must pass an identity verification before they can list their services. An identity verification confirms that the sitter is who they say they are based on their documents.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page .

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Sutton choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a key safe or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. On Rover:

  • 90% of sitters can help with special care needs
  • 89% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 98% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest vet. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.

For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorisation form for your regular vet. An authorisation form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.

Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
