“Anna has been fantastic. I recently booked her to stay in my apartment and look after my cat while I was visiting family abroad. She sent regular updates, photos and videos which was very reassuring, she even extended her stay by an extra night last minute when my flight was cancelled. I would definitely recommend her.”

“What a brilliant dog sitter! Suzanne was super friendly and always kept me updated on all that’s been happening during the day, even if just to say all was good and nothing interesting to report back! 😊 she spent some time practising commands with Dave, so massive thank you as his ‘wait’ is definitely better! Will definitely use again.”

“Neetal is great! She has looked after our greyhound a couple of times including an overnight stay. She gives us regular updates on how our dog is doing. We will definitely recommend her to look after your pet.”

About: Since a young age my sister and I begged our parents for a dog. Thankfully they gave in when I was 14 and I have grown up with a cockapoo. As someone who is very active, I love combining my love for dogs and spending time in the outdoors. During my final year of university, I regularly looked after my friend's dog regularly, taking it on walks and making sure it was well cared for. I'm now home from university, following my Master's at the University of Bath, and would love to opportunity to look after your dog! I'm currently a local hockey coach, with plenty of time before 5pm. Monday-Thursday work the best for me, but I can be flexible. I understand that every dog is different, so I will take the time to learn their individual personality, routines and needs. I'm more than happy to cater to their usual routine, so that they feel most comfortable with my company.
“Neve was fabulous looking after our Wire Fox Terrier, Marty, for over a week whilst we were on holiday. In advance of us leaving, Marty had been seriously ill and was on three different medications that were administered four times a day so it was a relief that Neve wasn't at all fazed and was more than capable. Neve was a great communicator and regularly sent photos of Marty enjoying his walks and sunbathing. Would highly recommend Neve.”

“Izzy has been great with our little ragdoll girl Khaleesi whom she looked after during a week over Xmas. She is very reliable, communicative and sweet ; she got on well with Khaleesi and sent me pics of her daily. She left the flat spotless and I can only highly recommend her for any pet sitting. ”

About: I have experience caring for both cats and dogs, including regularly looking after my sister’s two dogs and cat while she has been away, as well as caring for a friend’s dog. I have also been a cat owner for many years, so I understand the importance of patience, consistency and providing pets with plenty of love, attention and enrichment. My experience has mainly been with cats and small-to-medium sized dogs, but I’m happy to care for dogs of all sizes and take the time to understand each pet’s individual personality, routine and needs. I’m comfortable following instructions for feeding, walks, toilet breaks, playtime and providing companionship. What sets me apart is my caring and reliable approach. I want every pet to feel safe, comfortable and loved while their owner is away. I’ll treat your pets and your home with the same care and respect I would want for my own, and I’m happy to provide regular updates and photos so you can feel reassured they are happy and well looked after. I currently have flexible daytime and nighttime availability throughout the week, which allows me to provide plenty of time, attention and companionship for your pets. I’m available for walks, toilet breaks, drop-in visits and in-home pet sitting, and I’m happy to work around your pet’s usual routine to make sure they feel comfortable and cared for. As a pet owner, I understand how important it is to trust someone with your beloved companion. I provide care in your pet’s own home, where they can feel comfortable and keep their usual routine. I will follow your instructions carefully, respect your home, and treat your pets as if they were my own. I’ll make sure they feel safe, happy and cared for while you’re away, and I’ll provide updates and photos if so you can feel reassured. I don’t offer boarding at my own home, but I’m happy to provide house sitting, walks, toilet breaks and drop-in visits.
“Sophie was fantastic with our dog Disco, she took time to meet him beforehand to make sure he was comfortable, and on the day kept me updated and looked after him really well. We wouldn’t hesitate to book Sophie again. Thank you Sophie ❤️”

“Maxine looked after our dog in our home while we were out at the theatre for the day. Maxine is so lovely and instantly put us at ease. She is very kind, professional and considerate and we will definitely be looking to book her again in the future.”

“Emilia was great with our 3 year old energetic lab. She was very responsive and kept us updated while we were away. The house was left clean and our dog was very well taken care of!”

About: Animals have been a constant in my life from a young age. Life without their companionship isn’t worth living in my opinion. I have a broad experience of animal care from my own beloved pets - from puppy and kitten stage including training and more intense levels of engagement, play and attention, right up to senior years including administration of medications, monitoring conditions, and adapting care to suit the needs to frail or disabled animals. From a young age I offered private dog walking to my local area, both on and off leash, and different distances and levels of interaction depending on the needs and age of the dog and I am currently the go to dog walker, sitter and drop in for my neighbours one of whom has just welcomed a new puppy into their household and with whom I am regularily assisting with toilet breaks, walks, and feeding where needed. I have two cats of my own, who, I also walk having leash trained them from a young age. Living close to a busy road has meant that inorder to provide my kitties with the enrichment and stimulation they deserve, I make sure that I take them out every day if I can where we enjoy play, sunbathing and ‘sniff tours’. I am a reliable and trustworthy individual who will treat your beloved pet as I would my own. I take animal care very seriously and will go over and above to ensure the safety and happiness of all animals within my care. I rent two antiques stalls at a local antique centre, which allows me complete flexibility in my daily life. I can attend to my stall, at times that suit me; as little or as often as I need to. Therefore, I am able to offer complete flexibility when it comes to availability for pet care. I have mentioned already in my bio about my two beloved cats and the leash training that I have done with them and the outdoor enrichment this provides them safely, in an area which is otherwise, in my opinion, not safe for cats to roam freely. I devote myself to my pets and to the animals in my care; their needs come first, always. I offer everything from hands on engagement, play, grooming, medication administration and exercise to distanced companionship for those who want space and nothing more than to feel a presence within the home or an owner who requires the peace of mind that a watchful eye provides while they are away.
About: Hi! I'm Melissa, and caring for animals has always been one of the biggest passions in my life. For the past 10 years, I've volunteered with animal rescue organisations in both the UK and China, where I've had the privilege of caring for animals and helping them find loving forever homes. During that time, I've fostered six cats in the UK, as well as five adult dogs, two puppies and a kitten in China. Every animal has taught me something new, and I've become confident caring for pets with different personalities, routines and needs. I know how difficult it can be to leave your pet with someone else, so my priority is making sure they feel safe, comfortable and cared for while you're away. Whether your pet loves long walks, playtime, cuddles or simply a calm companion to keep them company, I'll take the time to get to know them and care for them as if they were my own. I'll also keep you updated with regular photos and messages, so you can relax knowing your pet is happy and in safe hands. I can't wait to meet you and your furry family members! I have full-time availability and a flexible schedule, allowing me to accommodate weekdays, weekends and last-minute bookings. I'm happy to discuss your pet's routine and work around your preferred drop-off and pick-up times whenever possible. I provide a safe, calm and caring environment where every pet is treated like part of the family. My home is a bungalow with no stairs, making it suitable for pets of all ages, including senior dogs or those with mobility issues. I also have a fully fenced and secure garden where pets can safely enjoy time outdoors under supervision. I understand that every pet has their own routine, so I'll follow their usual feeding, exercise and sleeping schedule as closely as possible to help them feel settled. I'm experienced using crates if this is part of your pet's routine and will always respect your preferences and instructions. There are several lovely parks and walking routes nearby, and I have access to a car, allowing me to take dogs on regular walks or travel if needed. Having volunteered with animal rescue organisations and fostered both dogs and cats, I'm experienced caring for pets with different personalities and needs, and I always take the time to ensure they feel safe, happy and loved while you're away. I'll also keep you updated with regular photos and messages, so you can have peace of mind knowing your pet is in good hands.
“Thomas took wonderful care of our dog, Luka. He kept us regularly updated with messages and photos, which really put our minds at ease and allowed us to fully enjoy our holiday. It was clear that Luka was in very good hands. If we have the opportunity in the future, we would absolutely love to ask Thomas to look after Luka again. Highly recommended.”

“Leah came for a meet and greet with Reggie and for a walk with us first as Reggie can be quite nervous of new people. She was very friendly and great at building trust between her and Reggie. She had great communication and sent lots of photos during the day, we will book her again.”

About: I've taken care of my own fur baby for the past 7 years since he left his mother's side. I've also looked after other small pets, e.g. rabbits (currently have one of my own) both as an owner and carer of friends pets. I'm have a Pet Sitting & Dog Walking diploma, am DBS certified and fully insured. I work part time for myself and have the flexibility to devote whatever time is necessary to your beloved pets. I can fit into your timetable whether this be for dog walking, drop-in visits or day care. I have a small fenced garden if day care at my home is required. My own dog, a friendly beagle, gets on well with other dogs.
“Isabella was amazing with Bennie and Lyra for the day when I was away. She kept me regularly updated with photos and messages. Would STRONGLY recommend her for dog sitting and we can’t wait to have her again ♥️”

“Darrin looked after my dog as though she were his own. She stuck to him like glue and was so relaxed in his company. He was also a very considerate housesitter, and we are sure to hire him again. Thank you!”

“Esmeralda did an excellent job looking after my two dogs and the house whilst I was away for a week. She took the dogs out for lots of walks, always sending photos and they obviously really got on well with her. She also left the house in an excellent co futon when I got back. I’d be very happy to use her again and would recommend her to others”

Lucie was great and communicated well with us and provided lots of pictures of Maisie. Also really appreciate she was great with handling some unexpected garden building work next door and plumbing issues! Thank you very much and would definitely use her again.

Mel is just lovely. She was happy to meet us and little Soda pup before our puppy sitting dates. This made my husband I feel super comfortable about leaving our 3 month old pup at home for the first time. During puppy sitting Mel sent us photos and updates the whole evening and it looked like Soda had the best play date. We’d love to book with Mel again x

Ashleigh is an absolute gem and I’m so glad we found her! This was our first time leaving pup and we wanted to be sure she was in safe hands. We couldn’t have hoped for better. Ashleigh sent regular photos and updates. She also left the house beautifully clean and tidy! I hope we can call on you again in future Ashleigh :) xx

Neve was the perfect house sitter for Murphy. I was a little nervous as we have only had Murphy for 6 weeks and was a rescue dog but he was so well looked after by Neve. She followed his routine and he seemed so happy with her. She sent updates and photos and would highly recommend her. We will be asking her again to look after Murphy.

Anna stepped in a late notice to look after our two Romanian rescue dogs and our elderly cat. Both our dogs have their own challenges but Anna was patient and her approach to getting to know them was perfect. We were kept up to date with regular messages whilst we were away and that reassured us they were being well looked after. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Anna to anyone in need of a dog or cat sitter. Thank again Anna.

Sophie was again so sweet to Pamela and we felt very comfortable leaving Pam in her care. Sophie took Pam's complex medical needs in stride and it was reassuring to know that Sophie was the one giving her insulin injections twice a day, and generally hanging out. Thank you Sophie!

Suzanne provided an incredible service. She was very attentive and considerate when learning about our dog Winnie who has a few behavioural issues. Suzanne kept us well informed and was a fantastic house sitter - keeping everything clean and very kindly watering the plants for us. She also built up a great rapport with Winnie which is very difficult to do, We are so grateful to Suzanne and can’t recommend her enough.

Emilia did a great job of looking after our rescue dog and elderly cat in our home, including dispensing medication, while we were away for three nights. She sent updates and photos of our pets and left the house clean and tidy. I would definitely recommend her and use her for house/petsitting again.

Venice had a lovely time with Christie. Christie kept us updated with photos so we had no concerns and we could see Venice was more than happy. Venice was calm and settled when we returned home at the end of the week. We highly recommend Christie as the perfect cat sitter.

Harry looked after our two dogs and house sat while we were away for eight nights. From first meeting Harry we were confident that he was the ideal choice. Our dogs bonded with him immediately and he was very keen to learn as much information about them as possible. While we were away Harry updated us about how things were going with photos and Whats App messages about the walks and activities he had been doing with the dogs. On our return the house was immaculate and Harry had even left us some cut flowers in a vase. The dogs were very well cared for and had had a lovely time while we were away. We can't rate Harry highly enough and will definitely book him again the next time we are away.
Amy was absolutely wonderful; she looked after my cat Luna amazingly. I was very anxious as Luna is an elderly cat with health needs, but Amy did everything I asked and more! Luna also loved her! Amy was very responsive to messages and sent lots of photos and updates, putting me at ease. I can’t recommend her enough ❤️

I felt completely at ease leaving my two boys with Tanika. She sent regular updates and photos, which made such a difference while I was away. Milo and Finn were clearly relaxed and well cared for, and she understood their personalities straight away. I came home to two very happy cats. :) Highly recommend!

I can't recommend Sabrina highly enough. She won over a very tough customer, my chihuahua with separation anxiety, with remarkable ease. Normally, it takes my dog several visits with a new sitter before she's calm and relaxed when I get home. But after her very first time with Sabrina, she was completely at ease and showed no signs of anxiety. That was incredible and brought me great peace of mind. I wouldn't hesitate to book Sabrina again.
Elena was such a blessing! We were let down by a sitter, and Elena arrived last minute, happy to take on the challenge. She was understanding, kept constant communication with us and took our dog out on so many adventures - He probably misses her more than he missed us on holiday! She even went the extra mile to ensure the house was left in a lovely condition when we returned. Elena listened to everything we asked and even fed our little fish on our behalf. She was easy going, friendly, transparent and knowledgeable when caring for our large german shephard X Doberman rescue. We will definitely be working with Elena again in the future! Thank you!!

I could not recommend Sara more! She was absolutely incredible with Zedley, sent daily updates and looked after him as if he was her own. We were away for over 10 days and I felt completely relaxed and at ease knowing he was so well looked after. There is no doubt in my mind that Zedley misses her now. Thank you for being so amazing Sara

James was excellent and we are very happy with his service. He stayed at our home for 7 nights, kept it in immaculate condition and most importantly our pets (1 dog and 2 cats) were very well looked after. Highly recommend James and we will be booking him again. Thank you James!

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Post & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Rubbish & recycling: Taking bins out on scheduled rubbish collection days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best time to agree on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a 'home cheat sheet' that includes your preferred Ewell walking routes, the location of your favourite pet shop, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes dedicated customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement programme for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover must pass an identity verification before they can list their services. An identity verification confirms that the sitter is who they say they are based on their documents.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page .
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Ewell choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a key safe or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. On Rover:
- 89% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 89% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 98% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest vet. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorisation form for your regular vet. An authorisation form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
