“We were very pleased and fortunate to have Holly as our cat sitter. She is very caring and looked after our cat Billy very well. Hopefully, we will continue to call on her excellent service in the future.”

“Sophie was absolutely amazing while pet/flat sitting! Not only did she follow all care instructions, but when above and beyond with treating Riley as if she were he own as well as taking care of my flat. The two were all over Edinburgh playing at the beach and in the meadows. I thoroughly enjoyed seeing the photos of all the fun the two of them were having. Thank you Sophie again for taking such good care of my girl!”

“Neve was fabulous looking after our Wire Fox Terrier, Marty, for over a week whilst we were on holiday. In advance of us leaving, Marty had been seriously ill and was on three different medications that were administered four times a day so it was a relief that Neve wasn't at all fazed and was more than capable. Neve was a great communicator and regularly sent photos of Marty enjoying his walks and sunbathing. Would highly recommend Neve.”

“Daniel stayed with our GSD girl for a week whilst we were away. He is very reliable and attentive. Our girl is very playful and energetic and needs a lot looking after. But Daniel has managed perfectly. She enjoyed very much his company. Daniel kept the house in a good order and sent us regular updates. We would not hesitate to recommend Daniel to anyone who needs help with their furry friends. Karina and Mark”

About: I have had dogs all my life, so am very used to and comfortable around animals. I have 3 miniature dachshunds who drive me insane but I love to death. I was bought up with Dalmatian's so am used to large dogs as well. Happy to snuggle and adore on your fur babies as much as I love my own I work from home most days so have plenty of time to love on your fur babies and happy to pop in whenever needed to cuddle and play I have 3 miniature dachshunds who have opinions, so it would be better for me to come and visit your fur babies rather than host them
“Emma was fantastic with our dog whilst we were away, taking him on long walks giving us daily updates and photos. We were reassured knowing how well he was being cared for. Would highly recommend booking Emma .”

“Ed was amazing and constantly kept me up to date with how the dogs were getting on. The dogs seemed more disappointed that he had left than excited to see us He mainly kept to the dogs routine and even kindly watered the rest of my garden as I was running late. Would definitely use again”

About: I've taken care of dogs since I was 5 years old. My family pets were German shepherds and labradors. I am experienced managing strong dogs on lead and am very reliable. Happy to meet and go through needs prior to booking if needed. I have 2 indoor Maine Coon cats, both 9 years old. Commonly known as the dogs of the cat world! We’re Holly and Agustin, a Dorking-based cat-sitting team. We both work from home, which gives us good flexibility for morning, afternoon and evening cat visits. For overnight stays, we can work from your home where Wi-Fi is available, helping your cat keep their normal routine with calm company, feeding, litter care, medication if needed, and regular photo updates. We always prefer a meet-and-greet before a first booking so we can understand your cat’s routine, personality, home setup and any special care needs. We take safety seriously, especially with indoor cats, shy cats and cats who may try to escape. We follow feeding, litter and medication instructions carefully, check doors and windows, and pay attention to changes in appetite, drinking, litter use or behaviour. We also treat your home with respect. Keys, alarms, bins, post, lights and basic security checks can all be handled as instructed.
“Kristina was great. Very prompt communication, sent me regular updates and left the house clean and tidy. She was great with our shy King Charles and Kristina really put our mind at rest leaving her whilst on holiday. Would thoroughly recommend.”

“Darrin was very good with Mavis. He picked up on her cues very quickly and I could tell she was very settled when I got back each time. I would happily recommend him to anyone and will hopefully be using him again.”

About: I’m a former zookeeper with a real passion for giving animals the best possible care. I’ve been lucky enough to work with a huge range of species — from domestic pets to animals like bears, lynx and wolverines — so I’m very confident reading behaviour and understanding what each individual animal needs. I know every pet is different, and I always take the time to get to know their personality. Whether your dog is full of energy and loves an active walk, or a bit more nervous and needs a calm, gentle approach, I’m happy to adapt and make sure they feel safe and comfortable. I also have experience caring for geriatric animals and those with additional needs, including giving a wide range of medications. I understand how important it is to trust someone with this level of care, and I always take a careful, patient approach to make it as stress-free as possible for your pet. In my current role, I’m responsible for maintaining high welfare standards, monitoring health and behaviour, and making sure animals have positive, enriching experiences — and that’s something I bring into every pet I look after. I’m reliable, easy to communicate with, and will always keep you updated so you have peace of mind while you’re away. Most importantly, I’ll treat your pet as if they were my own.

Kristina looked after our 10 year old cockapoo whilst we went on holiday and we were absolutely delighted with the care & attention that Cody received. We had daily updates with photos & vídeos.. Cody had a wonderful staycation in his own home with Kristina. We highly recommend Kristina as a loving responsible pet sitter.
Beatrix house sat for us for a week to look after our young cats while we were away. When we got back they were super happy and relaxed. She sent lots of pics and regular updates letting us know everything at the house was ok and the cats were good. Everything was left super clean and tidy. It was really reassuring knowing everything was fine at home and made it much easier to relax on holiday. The cats got lots of attention and care - we are very grateful thank you! Highly recommend :)

Ellen was absolutely great. She was very accommodating and Bella fell in love with her the first time she met her. Ellen kept me updated and was very responsive as well. Every picture I received from Ellen, Bella looked absolutely enjoying her company and having a great time. Can recommend Ellen anytime to anyone. 5 stars.

Nikk took excellent care of Hudson. He was exceptionally accommodating and kept us updated at every step (including some fabulous photos). It was Nikk’s idea to come over and meet us and Hudson prior to making the booking. I would wholeheartedly recommend Nikk.

Ella was absolutely wonderful with our dog, Richie! From the moment she arrived, she was personable, kind, and clearly loved spending time with him. She played with Richie, made him feel completely comfortable, and we could tell he really loved being with her. It’s such a relief to know he’s in such caring hands. We’ll definitely be booking Ella again in the near future!

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Post & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Rubbish & recycling: Taking bins out on scheduled rubbish collection days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best time to agree on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a 'home cheat sheet' that includes your preferred Mole Valley walking routes, the location of your favourite pet shop, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes dedicated customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement programme for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page .
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Mole Valley choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a key safe or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. On Rover:
- 90% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 89% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 98% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest vet. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorisation form for your regular vet. An authorisation form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
