“Harriet and Matt were great with our bulldog Bridget . Bridget can be really demanding and stubborn and I was worried about leaving her but getting photos and updates really puts your mind at rest we would highly recommend this loverly couple”

“Natasha was absolutely fantastic with our boy Frankie - we had a meet and greet beforehand so I knew he was in good hands with Natasha. Update photos and messages meant my mind was always at ease! Natasha left the house spotless too - 100% would recommend and can’t wait to use her again!”

About: I've grown up with a menagerie of animals from dogs and cats to horses, hamsters and stick insects. I qualified from Liverpool veterinary school in 2018 so I am happy to give medication ( that your vet has prescribed) and care to you family member, if they need a bit more TLC. I have previous experience house sitting and references can be provided. I am happy to look after a range of animals. I also have my BHSAI if you need any help with your horses or ponies. I am available to stay with your pet all day and night with exception to short trips to the shops etc. If you have a dog I am happy to take them for individual outings in my car to local spots. I will be with your dog or cat all the time if required with the exception for going food shopping etc. If I feel your cat requires some time and space as they are nervous of a new person in the house, I will leave the house a few times in the day to ease stress on them.
“Carla house sat for our cat and dog. She communicated well whilst we were away. Very easy to get along with. She took loads of notes and met up with us prior to her allocated visit to meet our pets and understand their needs. We came back to a very tidy house and happy animals. Would definately recommend.”

“Anne-lise & Mike are the loveliest couple, who were so warm and caring towards our little dog Sadie. They followed our advice about Sadie’s needs and instantly put us at ease when we were away on our trip, with their competence and easygoing way. Sadie can be a little unsure and apprehensive with other people, but she took to Anne-lise & Mike straight away (as did we), and it was so reassuring and comforting to see Sadie in photos, sleeping on them on the settee, and happy to have tummy rubs etc. Anne-lise sent plenty of photos and videos of our little girl, which we appreciated so much. We are so glad to have found these pet/house sitters, and have already re-booked them for September. We would highly recommend them to anyone looking for friendly, warm and professional pet sitters. ❤️”

About: I have been a dog owner for 7 years and truly understand how important it is to find someone you can trust with your pet. I recently lost my own dog, so I really miss having that companionship and would love to give that same care, attention and love to other dogs, especially on weekends and during school holidays. I live in a calm, cool temperature, comfortable flat in St John’s with access to a large nearby field, perfect for walks and playtime. I am reliable, patient, and will treat every dog as if they were my own, making sure they feel safe, happy and well cared for while you’re away. I work full time during the week, so I’m mainly available for pet care on weekends. This means I can give your dog my full attention, whether that’s for walks, playtime or overnight stays. I’m also available during school holidays and half terms, so I can offer more flexible care during those times. When I’m with your pet, they will have plenty of attention, exercise and company. Your dog will be cared for in a calm, safe and comfortable flat that’s kept at a cool, pleasant temperature. I live close to a large field, which is perfect for regular walks and giving dogs space to run and explore. Your baby will also have a place outside my flat where they can have regular toilet breaks, supervised by myself. Having owned and cared for my own dog for 7 years, I understand how important it is to treat every pet with patience, kindness and attention, just as I would my own.

About: I’m an advisor at Natural England and regularly work from home in Old Woking. I’m a friendly and calm person looking to help out with a bit of cat sitting in my local area. I love all animals and have had pets all my life - over the years I’ve had a dog, cat, bearded dragon, terrapin, fish, gerbils and chickens. I’ve also worked at a kennels and cattery. My family cat who I helped look after lived to 17 and I currently own a beautiful calico shorthair called Gigi who’s five. I am also very comfortable with dogs having had a dog in the family for over ten years. I am experienced in all the everyday tasks needed to look after cats like food, water, litter, play and can cover more specialist tasks too like giving medication, dental treatment and grooming.
“Phoebe was absolutely wonderful. Our mini dachshund warmed up to her right away. She has very positive energy and took great care of our dog. I would highly recommend her and will definitely rebook with her the next time I'm in need of a pet sitter.”

“Tara was amazing from start to finish! From first messages she made us feel so comfortable being our first dog and a puppy we had only had with us for a few weeks she offered to come and meet Albie before so he could familiarise with her which put us at ease. On the day Tara was so professional and friendly kept us updated but also didn’t hassle us and came back to a very happy puppy. If you’re looking for someone to take care of your dog we would highly recommend!”

About: I was raised with dogs since a baby and taken care of many dogs since the age of 13, I also have 2 of my own. I love animals especially dogs as I see them as more than just what they are. I manage a pet grooming store in London which I gained dog grooming skills like bathing , brushing, drying , cutting and many more. I would say working with all sorts of pets I gained a lot of patience and knowledge when it comes to training and understanding different dog breed needs. I currently work full time at the dog grooming shop and my days off are on Sunday, Monday and Thursdays which I am always at home with my dogs taking them out for walks, playing games etc. I have 2 beautiful dogs one Cavapoo ( Bella ) and one cane corso mixed with Labrador ( Stylo ) , unfortunately only one of my dogs live with me as the other stayed with my family. I feed Stylo 3-4 times a day as he is a large breed dog, with walks i take him out twice a day for 45 min to the local park and also the forest behind my house, i also have a garden so he gets plenty of activity. I have many dog toys, chews, treats and healthy homemade dog snacks to keep him entertained at all times and of course plenty of cuddles.

“Zoe looked after our little pomeranian Wolfie on the hottest day of the year at a whooping 35degrees. She took so much care in ensuring his paws and belly were kept damp and cool often with water to help him cool down. She provided regular status updates on how he was doing and made sure a fan was on for him at all times. I would recommend Zoe for anyone!!”

Pet owners share their Rover experiences - Woking
We needed someone to house-sit our three cats, and 3-month old puppy during a 10 day trip overseas. We’d never had anyone house sit before, let alone for such a long period of time, so we were quite worried about finding someone and making it work. Larissa was wonderful - she was quick to reply to messages on the Rover app, talked through and agreed all the details in advance, and quickly demonstrated that she’d give our pets the love and attention they needed whilst we were away. She sent regular photos and updates as we’d requested, checked in when she needed anything clarified, took our puppy on frequent walks, and left the house in a really great condition when we got home. It was a great experience from start to finish. I’d highly recommend her to others - we’ll definitely be using her again.
Sarah has looked after our cats a couple of times now and has quickly established a bond with them that makes us completely comfortable while we're away. She keeps us updated on their goings on and it's great to see that she enjoys their company as much as we do - they certainly seem to enjoy hers! Sarah also keeps the house in great condition and we are really delighted to have found her for cat sitting.
If I could give ten stars I would! Charlotte was fantastic looking after my newly rescued dog. I was a little nervous due to some behaviours he has been showing but Charlotte was so good with him and made me feel totally at ease, she gave me updates throughout the day with photos and I came home to a relaxed and tired dog! Would definitely have Charlotte here again to look after Scooby 🥰

From meeting Cinthia it is clear that she is a true dog lover and is a perfect companion for anyone's pet. Really importantly she is also very reliable and organised and always responds to request very quickly if I'd had to amend a start time. She follows all the instructions on food and walking with precision and I thoroughly recommend her if you need 100% care for your pet.

Gabriel was the absolute perfect sitter! Such a brilliant, calm presence who showered our rescue pup Dillon with love and cuddles, and kept us so well updated with pictures through the sit. We felt so at ease! Highly recommend and we'll be back in touch if travelling to Woking again!

It was a pleasure to have Mona stay and look after Leo! I’m very grateful for how good care she took of my cat - she was clearly very attentive and really kept me well updated with photos and other updates about my cat. Will definitely be rebooking with Mona - thank you again!

Jack did a great job looking after our two dogs! He followed our schedule closely and gave them lots of exercise and attention which they loved. We were kept updated throughout the day and were reassured that everything was going well! We wouldn’t hesitate to ask Jack to look after our pups again 😊

Rebooked Maryanne for a house sit with 4 month old puppy. Lunas needs were met, she was taken for 2 beach walks which she loves. Communication continued through the weekend. Nervous to have someone stay at my house, but she was clean tidy and professional. Would highly recommend and book again.

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Post & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Rubbish & recycling: Taking bins out on scheduled rubbish collection days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.

Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page .
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Woking choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a key safe or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. On Rover:
- 91% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 89% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 98% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest vet. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorisation form for your regular vet. An authorisation form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
