“Harriet stayed in our house whilst we were away on holiday she had an instant connection with our dog which put my mind at rest . I would highly recommend Harriet to others and will be booking again . Thank you Harriet for taking such good care of our girl!”

“Anne was a fantastic dog sitter. She looked after our little corgi so well and stayed at our place while we were away. We came home to a happy pup and a well-looked-after house. We would absolutely recommend Anne as a pup sitter”

About: I have been a dog owner for 7 years and truly understand how important it is to find someone you can trust with your pet. I recently lost my own dog, so I really miss having that companionship and would love to give that same care, attention and love to other dogs, especially on weekends and during school holidays. I live in a calm, cool temperature, comfortable flat in St John’s with access to a large nearby field, perfect for walks and playtime. I am reliable, patient, and will treat every dog as if they were my own, making sure they feel safe, happy and well cared for while you’re away. I work full time during the week, so I’m mainly available for pet care on weekends. This means I can give your dog my full attention, whether that’s for walks, playtime or overnight stays. I’m also available during school holidays and half terms, so I can offer more flexible care during those times. When I’m with your pet, they will have plenty of attention, exercise and company. Your dog will be cared for in a calm, safe and comfortable flat that’s kept at a cool, pleasant temperature. I live close to a large field, which is perfect for regular walks and giving dogs space to run and explore. Your baby will also have a place outside my flat where they can have regular toilet breaks, supervised by myself. Having owned and cared for my own dog for 7 years, I understand how important it is to treat every pet with patience, kindness and attention, just as I would my own.
“Jessica was brilliant from start to finish. She came to meet us and the dogs the day before, which really helped put us at ease, especially as this was our first time using a pet sitter. She was very patient and took on board all our instructions and tips (not always easy with a pining Ridgeback!), and she clearly looked after them really well. She kept us updated throughout the evening and was always prompt and clear in her communication. Polite, professional, and a genuinely lovely experience — we wouldn’t hesitate to book her again.”

“Natasha was absolutely amazing with Ace. Honestly, Ace took to her very quickly and they soon became the best of friends. I would not hesitate to use Natasha again at all. Trustworthy, honest and polite.”

“Phoebe was absolutely wonderful. Our mini dachshund warmed up to her right away. She has very positive energy and took great care of our dog. I would highly recommend her and will definitely rebook with her the next time I'm in need of a pet sitter.”

“Carla house sat for our cat and dog. She communicated well whilst we were away. Very easy to get along with. She took loads of notes and met up with us prior to her allocated visit to meet our pets and understand their needs. We came back to a very tidy house and happy animals. Would definately recommend.”

“Gabriel was the absolute perfect sitter! Such a brilliant, calm presence who showered our rescue pup Dillon with love and cuddles, and kept us so well updated with pictures through the sit. We felt so at ease! Highly recommend and we'll be back in touch if travelling to Woking again!”

“Hayley took great care of our mini dachshund. He had surgery recently and she took extra care to follow instructions to help with his recovery. She took the time to have a phone call before the day to go over everything. She arrived promptly to ensure that she understand how to assist him. I recommend Hayley for dog-sitting.”

“Charlie took great care of our girl. He was really great at asking questions around her care and formed an instant bond with her! Great communication and regular updates too which were really appreciated. We wouldn’t hesitate to use Charlie again!!”

“Many thanks to Anne-Lise and Mike for taking such good care of all our pets. Our cat had to go to the vet 3 days before the house sit was due to take place , as he was suddenly unwell and as a result was prescribed antibiotics and an oral medication. I told Anne-Lise straight away and she wasn’t fazed at all and put me totally at ease. She sent me regular updates whilst we were away, which meant I could relax knowing everything was ok. Great communication, and it’s clear how much Anne-Lise and Mike love animals. Thanks again.”

“Veronica is an amazing sitter! She took the best care of our boy Reggie! He absolutely loved her and her little doggie Anja! She provided pictures and videos throughout the whole time! I couldn’t recommend her enough! An absolute star and will definitely rebook! Thank you Veronica! 💕”

“Thanks to Rachel we were comfortable leaving our elderly cat for 10 days. She even went the extra mile and spent time with him in the garden, and groomed him. He seemed in good spirits when we returned. A big thank you to Rover and Rachel, for your services.”

If I could give ten stars I would! Charlotte was fantastic looking after my newly rescued dog. I was a little nervous due to some behaviours he has been showing but Charlotte was so good with him and made me feel totally at ease, she gave me updates throughout the day with photos and I came home to a relaxed and tired dog! Would definitely have Charlotte here again to look after Scooby 🥰

From meeting Cinthia it is clear that she is a true dog lover and is a perfect companion for anyone's pet. Really importantly she is also very reliable and organised and always responds to request very quickly if I'd had to amend a start time. She follows all the instructions on food and walking with precision and I thoroughly recommend her if you need 100% care for your pet.

Gabriel was the absolute perfect sitter! Such a brilliant, calm presence who showered our rescue pup Dillon with love and cuddles, and kept us so well updated with pictures through the sit. We felt so at ease! Highly recommend and we'll be back in touch if travelling to Woking again!

It was a pleasure to have Mona stay and look after Leo! I’m very grateful for how good care she took of my cat - she was clearly very attentive and really kept me well updated with photos and other updates about my cat. Will definitely be rebooking with Mona - thank you again!

Jack did a great job looking after our two dogs! He followed our schedule closely and gave them lots of exercise and attention which they loved. We were kept updated throughout the day and were reassured that everything was going well! We wouldn’t hesitate to ask Jack to look after our pups again 😊

Rebooked Maryanne for a house sit with 4 month old puppy. Lunas needs were met, she was taken for 2 beach walks which she loves. Communication continued through the weekend. Nervous to have someone stay at my house, but she was clean tidy and professional. Would highly recommend and book again.

Alex was absolutely F A N T A S T I C !!! She was very professional from day one, we couldn’t have ask for a better person to look after our cat. She sent us updates daily and it was such a pleasure to see our cat is relaxed and they are enjoying each other’s company. Upon return from our holiday we could tell straight away our cat is happy and relaxed. Alex looked after the house as well, it was such a pleasure to come home and find everything nice and tidy! Can’t recommend her enough!

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Post & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Rubbish & recycling: Taking bins out on scheduled rubbish collection days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best time to agree on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a 'home cheat sheet' that includes your preferred Woking walking routes, the location of your favourite pet shop, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes dedicated customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement programme for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

Every sitter on Rover must pass an identity verification before they can list their services. An identity verification confirms that the sitter is who they say they are based on their documents.

Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page .
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Woking choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a key safe or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. On Rover:
- 91% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 87% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 98% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest vet. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorisation form for your regular vet. An authorisation form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
