Adam was a great sitter for our fur family of three! He was very detailed and thorough when taking instructions, ensuring all bases were covered to give the best care to our munchkins. We had really good communication and updates throughout and everyone was very happy to meet and chill with Adam right away. Would definitely rely on him again and would highly recommend!

Maureen looked after our sausage dog Eric for 10 days while we were on holiday. She was very good at communicating before and during the stay and sent regular photos and updates. Eric was clearly very happy being with her. In addition she looked out for our numerous parcel deliveries, put the bins out on bin collection day and watered my plant. The accommodation was spotless when she left. Maureen is a lovely lady and we are hoping she will sit for us again in August.

About: I rescued my Romanian street dog, Skyler, 9 years ago, and since then we've shared countless adventures together - including over 10,145 miles of walk as of July 2026! We love exploring the outdoors and I've built up a collection of 25+ walking routes within a 20 mile radius, giving my dog and others plenty of variety, enrichment, and opportunities to enjoy new sights and smells. Living with Skyler, who is naturally sensitive and cautious, has given me extensive experience caring for nervous, shy, and more reserved dogs. I understand the importance of patience, building trust at the dog's own pace, and creating a calm, positive environment where they feel safe and comfortable. I have also cared for family dogs, giving me experience with a range of personalities and needs. Alongside my hands-on experience, I have a career in veterinary pathology, which has given me a strong understanding of animal health, behaviour, and recognising when something may be out of the ordinary. I'm also a keen photographer in my spare time, so I love capturing beautiful moments and can provide owners with high-quality photos of their dogs enjoying their time with me. I work full time during the week, so I am available for pet car primarily on weekday evenings and throughout the weekends. I offer drop-in visits and dog walking during those times, and I can also provide house sitting services from Friday through Sunday. I'm committed to providing reliable, attentive care and making sure each pet gets the time, exercise and attention they need within my availability. I focus on keeping pets comfortable and maintaining their normal routines while their owners are away. I make sure their environment stays safe, clean, and familiar by following care instructions closely. I treat every pet and home with respect.

We have just returned from a week's holiday having left our two dogs in the care of Rocio and couldn’t have asked for a better service. She stayed at our home for a week to care for our dogs, and from the moment she arrived, it was clear we were in excellent hands. Rocio is very knowledgeable and experienced—she understood our dogs’ routines and personalities right away, and handled everything with calm confidence. What really stood out was how easy she was to communicate with. She kept us updated throughout the week, which gave us complete peace of mind while we were away. We came home to two happy dogs and a spotless house. If you're looking for someone reliable, kind, and truly capable, Rocio is the one. We will certainly use her services again.

About: We regularly look after a 7 year old golden retriever for a family friend which involves regular walks, feeding and bathing. We love to give her lots of attention and play time! We have been trusted to look after her when the family are away for long periods of time on holiday on a regular basis. My partner and I currently work full-time but we have days where we work from home to take your dogs out on walks, drop in for feeding or play time! In the weekdays where we do not work from home, we are available for dogs walks or drop ins in the evenings from 7pm - 9pm. We are able to care for your dog at your home or in our home in whatever way works best for your dog. We could use a crate if needed. We do not own any other dogs but would love to keep your doggy company

Martin was prompt with arriving. He was the perfect house sitter ,watering the garden with the watering cans and feeding the fish in the pond. He made great friends with our dog Arthur. Two walks a day during the coldest part of the day. The heat has been a challenge. The house was left very clean and tidy. I would certainly recommend him to anyone wanting a house sitter.

About: I’m 18, and love animal care. I’ve been scooping up bugs from the pavement and holding little mouse and hamster funerals for pets since I was little. I’ve had cats in the past, although I currently have a dog, and I cat sit, as well as babysit, for my family and friends often. I’ve done care courses in college and intend to do more in uni after my gap year. I am pet sitting insured and am more than happy to help out with your beloved animals where I can! I’m currently on gap year, so I’ll have a good amount of time free. I do intend to do some online courses, but being online they won’t play into my cat sitting much. I simply want some better experience and to help out my fellow pet parents. I’m happy to alter my care to whatever the pet owner needs. I have a bit of an anxious animal myself so I understand some pets need specific routines or care. Ideally I would come to your home when required and feed them, keep them company, give them some pets, whatever the owner needs me to do.

Rebecca was brilliant with our old blind dog Olive. She had her on boarding for 2 nights. But Rebecca dealt with it so well in her home and Olive had a wonderful stay. I will definitely book Rebecca again.

Holly is a fantastic pet sitter. We booked her at short notice for a last-minute getaway, and she was able to arrange a meet-and-greet visit with our dog beforehand. She was friendly, professional, and made it clear there was no pressure to commit to the booking, which we really appreciated. Holly did an excellent job looking after our home and, most importantly, our dog, Pixel, during an exceptionally hot week. She made sure Pixel was well cared for, kept cool, and walked her safely during the cooler parts of the day to avoid the heat. We also received regular updates and photos throughout our trip, which gave us real peace of mind and allowed us to relax knowing Pixel was in safe hands. We would 100% recommend Holly’s services and wouldn’t hesitate to book her again in the future.

Tom looked after our GSD puppy for a week whilst we went on holiday, it was the first time we’d left her for that length of time and he was wonderful. He gave us regular updates about how he was getting on with messages and photos/videos. I felt totally at ease leaving her with him which made for a more relaxing holiday. Tom went above and beyond to even make sure the house was in good order for our arrival home. Bonnie seemed incredibly content and comfortable with Tom and we wouldn’t hesitate to use him again in the future! 🐾🥰

About: Ever since I was born I have lived and grown up with dogs in the house. I’ve also been in a house whilst a family member of mine had his own dog boarding business ( having 13 dogs in our house during doggy day care! ) I have recently left a job working in a veterinary, where I looked after dogs and cats before and after operations. I’m hoping to find a future career in the fire service, so I am looking for some dog sitting and visits whilst I prepare for recruitment:) I am no stranger to being around animals. I currently live with family in Aldershot with our dog Diddymus. I also often visit my mums Huskies Rey and Suki. I have recently left my job to have more time to prepare for a career in the fire service. So I am looking to take on some pet sitting and care whilst I prepare for recruitment. I am happy to follow any rules or restrictions you have in your home whether that’s crate training, no pets on furniture or in certain rooms, no human food etc. If allowed your pet is more than welcome to share the bed if they are cuddlers at night:)

Frequently asked questions about Rover

The average cost for House Sitting in Rushmoor on Rover is £40.25 per night (as of August 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.

Rover makes budgeting the cost of House Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for House Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .

As of August 2026, there are 8,129 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Rushmoor. Enter your postcode to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:

  • Post & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
  • Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
  • Rubbish & recycling: Taking bins out on scheduled rubbish collection days.
  • Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.

The best time to agree on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a 'home cheat sheet' that includes your preferred Rushmoor walking routes, the location of your favourite pet shop, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes dedicated customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement programme for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Every sitter on Rover must pass an identity verification before they can list their services. An identity verification confirms that the sitter is who they say they are based on their documents.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page .

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Rushmoor choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a key safe or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. On Rover:

  • 93% of sitters can help with special care needs
  • 93% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 95% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest vet. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.

For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorisation form for your regular vet. An authorisation form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.

Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
