“My dogs both love Carey and I’m always so relaxed when I know she is with my dogs. Willow is very nervous and has just connected with Carey. I always get regular updates, our home is spotless and Carey has been so flexible with last minute travel changes. A big thank you again.”

“Louise was great. She visited us at home prior to her stay, and also on a walk. Both dogs seemed very relaxed and happy. Louise sent regular updates and pictures and I felt confident they were very content in her care. Would definitely book Louise again.”

“Annie was wonderful with our anxious spaniel who took to her immediately. She communicated clearly and left us feeling comforted that she would be very well looked after. We would highly recommend Annie.”

About: Hi I'm Jenny. I have a genuine affection for all animals which is why I love being on Rover and meeting lots of dogs and cats I have been a dog walker for a while now, for friends and neighbors, and have experience with a variety of breeds. (Stubborn beagles, bouncy retrievers, crazy vizslas!) I understand it can be daunting to ask someone you don't know to look after your pet which is why it's great to speak on the phone firstly and take a walk in the park to get to know you and your dog. Feel free to message me anytime with no obligation at all, I'm always available for a chat. I mostly work from home so I am flexible for 2 daily visits or 1. Dog walks can be early morning or lunchtime or in the evening in summer. If I am sitting at your house then I am comfortable to treat your dog to home enrichment as well as walks and any other needs
About: I've been with pets around me since I was 15 years and never looked back since then. The best decision of my life is having them. They are my closest family. I've been training puppies most of my life. I have 7 plus years of experience in taking care of pets. I have one dog living with me at the moment which makes me more happy to get her new friends. I and my partner Alan mostly work on different days. We both are always home as we work from home.we are mostly home with our pets so your little one can enjoy the entire day of nasty things with us. Your kids are always welcome to sit and run wherever they want, supervised. I would be happy to spoil them with love and cuddles with consent. The house is very safe and has a back yard which is fenced.

About: Experienced with multiple dog breeds. I cared for 7 dogs since I was a child and regularly looked after pets for friends and family. Driver’s license and transport. I have a flexible schedule and can provide pet care during weekdays and weekends. I enjoy spending time with animals and can visit, walk, feed, and care for pets as needed. I treat every pet with care, patience, and respect. I follow the owner’s instructions, keep pets safe and comfortable, and make sure they receive attention, exercise, and proper care.
“It was our first time using rover as my mum and dad had always looked after our dog, so we were a bit apprehensive. I am so glad we did, as Tristan and Carey were absolutely amazing with our dog and Guinea pig and looked after our house so well. We came home to a happy dog and g.pig and a lovely clean house. I couldn’t have been happier! While we were away we received updates and photos . I felt totally confident and at ease that our animals and our house were in good care so was able to enjoy a break away without any worries. I would, without hesitation book them again and recommend them to others. Thank you guys! Hope to see you again :-)”

About: Hello! Thank you for stopping by my profile. I’m Holly, a Teaching Assistant, mum, and lifelong animal lover. Our home has always been full of love, laughter, and a soft spot for animals. Whether your pet has four paws, a wagging tail, or a loud purr, they’ll be treated as part of the family while they’re in my care. I offer dog boarding, pet sitting, and cat visits, and I genuinely love spending time with animals. Every pet has their own little personality and routine, and I enjoy getting to know what makes them happy and comfortable. 🐕 We have a secure garden for dogs to enjoy, and during school holidays I’m home most of the day, so there’s plenty of time for walks, play, fuss, and cuddles. During term time, I work from 8:30am until 3:30pm and return straight home afterwards. I also have two animal-loving children who are incredibly excited to be part of this adventure. They have grown up around pets and are kind, gentle, and respectful of animals. Many pets seem to enjoy the extra attention, and I think having a family home helps create a cosy, relaxed environment where animals can quickly feel settled. I’m also a huge cat lover and share my home with cats of my own. If your dog isn’t comfortable around cats, that’s absolutely fine. My home can be arranged so that cats and visiting dogs have their own separate spaces, allowing everyone to feel safe and relaxed. 🐈 For cat owners, I know many cats are happiest in their own home, so if you’re away, I’ll pop in to feed them, refresh their water, clean litter trays, and, of course, provide as much attention as they want—whether that’s a lap to curl up on or simply a friendly face checking in on them. Leaving your pet with someone else can feel like a big step, so I’ll always keep you updated with messages and photos so you can relax knowing they’re happy and well looked after. If you have any questions at all, please feel free to get in touch. I’d love to hear about your pet and see if we’re a good match. I work as a Teaching Assistant from 8:30am to 3:30pm during term time, so I’m available before work, after school, in the evenings, and at weekends. During school holidays, I’m home for most of the day, allowing plenty of time for walks, play, feeding visits, and keeping pets company. For cat visits, I’m happy to pop in before work in the mornings as well as after work, helping to maintain your cat’s usual routine. Your pet’s safety and wellbeing will always be my top priority. I am DBS checked through my work as a Teaching Assistant and understand the importance of being trustworthy, reliable, and responsible when caring for both people and pets. We have a secure garden for supervised outdoor time and a warm family home where pets are treated with kindness and respect. I always take the time to learn about each pet’s routine, preferences, and any special requirements so they feel safe and settled in my care. I also have cats of my own, but if a visiting dog is not comfortable around cats, the house can be arranged so they have completely separate spaces. I believe good communication is important, so I’ll keep you updated with messages and photos while you’re away, giving you peace of mind that your pet is happy and well cared for.
About: I’m a devoted lover of animals and will soon qualify as a veterinarian. I live in Petersfield and would love to look after your pet! I’m currently studying so my availability will vary depending on my commitments. Whenever I am available I would be delighted to look after your pet! I fully understand what is involved in caring for any pet, thanks to my many years studying veterinary medicine which has trained me for gold standard care in all animal species. When dog sitting, I will usually spend a long time introducing myself to them, making sure they are comfortable with my presence and allowing them to approach me if they wish. I will walk dogs every 4 hours, unless their individual need require otherwise. For cats, I tend to be much less hands on, again allowing them to come to me if desired.
About: I have had a dog since I was 4 years old for about 15 years, so have always been around them and I have helped out with family and friends dogs when needed; walking, feeding, playing etc I can house sit/have dogs at mine on weekends. Perfect for when you are going on holiday! I often have odd days in the week occasionally, which are added 2-3 weeks in advance. I have a fenced garden, the front door, the front garden and back garden are all monitored with a camera. I will play with the dogs or relax with them or take them on walks etc whatever is needed.
“Maureen looked after our sausage dog Eric for 10 days while we were on holiday. She was very good at communicating before and during the stay and sent regular photos and updates. Eric was clearly very happy being with her. In addition she looked out for our numerous parcel deliveries, put the bins out on bin collection day and watered my plant. The accommodation was spotless when she left. Maureen is a lovely lady and we are hoping she will sit for us again in August.”

“Becky was absolutely amazing with Maple! Honestly I couldn’t recommend her enough! She was so patience and gentle with Maple and by the end of the afternoon they were best mates and that’s saying a lot from having a very anxious little girl- thanks again!!”

“Nicole is lovely and is amazing with my two doggies they had the best time with her ,one of my dogs is very attached to me but she settled with Nicole lovely due to how nurturing and loving she is . she sent me regular photos , house kept clean . she couldn’t have been any more helpful than she was and made leaving my dogs for the first time a pleasant and easy experience specially with all the fun and attention they had . About: I’m a loving, caring and compassionate person and very trustworthy so your pets will be safe in my home or with me. I love working with dogs or cats or any animals and don’t be worried I have looked after pets before and I will make sure they are safe and looked after in my care. I will take them for long walks as well as I love to walk. And if I’m dog sitting I will make sure they that I let the dogs out in the garden and take them for walks long or short depending on what they need. I don’t mind looking after cats either as I love cats as well as dogs. I also have a car so can pick up your pets and take them to large parks and Drop them back if that’s what is needed. I have worked at a cattery before and few pet shops so I know about medication and fussy eaters. Please give me a message if you would like me to look after your little babies! I’m currently got a job where I work from home and can pick my hours, so if a walk is needed at 10 I can just choose not to work that time and do that then work or vice versa. I will take them out for walks, make sure they are fed and happy. I can put them in their crate if needed and give them the company they want and need.
“Tasha took on our booking at short notice and was prepared to drive a long distance to accommodate us. She was very positive and flexible with all our needs before and during the stay. She looked after our large energetic dog and our fish during a very hot spell of weather which made things more complicated but she was always very enthusiastic, caring and showed initiative when there was an issue with a fish. Bugsy, our dog, seemed very happy and relaxed with her. She also left the house incredibly clean and tidy. Thank you very much, Tasha!”

“Kate was brilliant, she looked after our boys for a week. We had recently lost our dog Sparky he was 10 and Jasper is nervous anyway but was especially anxious. Kate adapted to his needs 😊 we came home to a clean house and she has even washed the our bed sheets! We would highly recommend and will definitely use Kate again”

“It was such a relief having Claudia sit my older pets at home while I went away on a family holiday. Her regular updates and photos showed just how comfortable and happy my dog and 3 cats were. All of my pets were made to feel secure in my absence which meant happy pets with no issues on my return - for which I am really thankful. Highly recommend”

“First time using Rover and was a little apprehensive, Nigel came for a meet & greet & instantly clicked with our 3 small dogs :-) we received pupdates while away & the house was left in great condition, will certainly be using Nigel again & would absolutely recommend him. Nigel clearly cares for the dogs like they were his own - thank you Nigel!”

“Liz did an amazing job taking care of Fiona! Not only did she make herself available super last minute when our other dog sitter fell through, but she agreed to house sit following a sudden injury that Fiona suffered on her left foot that meant she’d have to wear a cone and keep out of grass and dirty. Liz sent us daily updates and pictures, and administered medication to Fiona with care. When we arrived back from our holiday, Fiona’s wound looked very clean and was healing nicely. Liz also kindly put the sheets in the wash and even replaced our milk. I would recommend Liz to anyone who needs a calm, compassionate, and trustworthy dog sitter. I’m so grateful to her for answering our call for help and treating Fiona with so much kindness.”

Cat is an exceptional human being. She went above and beyond whilst taking care of my beloved pets and home. I’m honestly touched by her efforts to keep me updated each day and the sincere care she took whilst staying in our home. Leaving your pets can be stressful for everyone, but I was able to relax and enjoy my holiday knowing my fur babies were in THE best hands. Cat is gentle and thoughtful; always one step ahead and does so with ease. Our home was spotless and the dogs were cleaner than when we left! I would book cat to look after my pets and home on repeat, until she’s sick of us! :-) We will be forever grateful to her and would not hesitate to recommend cat to look after your pets and home. She’s a star. Xxxx

Mathilda has shown genuine care for my dog Stella. She took an interest in getting to know her and learn her specific ways before we left. I had every confidence in leaving Stella with her and had regular updates while we were away. We were able to relax and enjoy our holiday knowing that our precious girl was in good hands. We would highly recommend Mathilda and would not hesitate to ask her to care for Stella again in the future.

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Post & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Rubbish & recycling: Taking bins out on scheduled rubbish collection days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page .
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in East Hampshire choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a key safe or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest vet. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorisation form for your regular vet. An authorisation form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
