About: Hi, I’m Joel. I’m a Teaching Assistant in a Special Educational Needs (SEN) setting, regularly involved in outdoor activities and Forest School sessions. This means I’m at my happiest outdoors, rain or shine, and I’m used to managing a variety of unique needs with patience and a calm, positive approach. Working in an SEN environment has taught me how to read body language and learn to provide care for each individual’s needs - skills that translate perfectly to dealing with our furry friends! Whether your dog is a zoomy explorer who loves adventure or a more nervous personality who needs a gentle, patient companion, I can adapt my walking style to suit them. Why choose me? * DBS-Checked: I hold a current Enhanced DBS through my school role. * Genuine Love For The Outdoors: Spending most of my work and free time outside, all year long. * SEN Expertise: I’m highly patient and experienced with 'big' personalities and complex needs. * Reliable & Responsible: I’m used to following strict safety protocols and routines. * Experience with reactive/nervous dogs: Growing up at home with rescue dogs with challenging behaviours, learning to nurture and understand dogs both confident and nervous. Reach out with any queries you might have and I’ll respond as soon as I am able. Initial meet and greets with dogs are completely free as I’ll be eager to get to know the dogs before we set off on our first walk together! I work school hours during the week, which means I am free from 3:30pm weekdays. On weekends I can be available and flexible with hours, also being able to offer full time availability during school holidays. I can’t wait to meet your four-legged friends and share some fun fuelled walks! I can commit my full focus and attention towards your four legged loved ones, as I get as much joy being around them as they hopefully will around me! I have a very calm demeanour which I like to think helps the people and dogs around me feel the same way too.
“Gabi did a great job of looking after our 7 month old puppy, 5yo rescue dog and dictatorial cat. Her comms was excellent, she was reliable, and everyone was happy at the end of the day. Thanks, would recommend!!”

About: Hi im izzie. You’ll usually find me on the slopes instructing young kids how to snowboard, but while im waiting for the snow to come in I like to work as a pet sitter and dog walker. My family have always had dogs and other pets so im very confident in looking after pets and look forward to meeting your pets and giving them a good experience on their walks or while you’re on holiday! Having always lived with dogs im very comfortable around all sorts of breeds as well as aiding in the training of my dogs. I’m currently unemployed as my work as a snowboard instructor has time off during the split in the seasons. I’ve just returned from a season in japan and will be heading off to australia in june. But while im waiting for the snow to come in my schedule is fully flexible and I can work around booking that I get due to not having a set work schedule to live by. What you need I can give. I think it’s important when looking after your pet that while you’re gone, as little changes for them as possible. So sticking to their routine so they feel as comfortable as possible and can build trust with me while you aren’t there. My goal for them is to feel as safe as possible while having fun at the same time.
“Neo was very happy being looked after by Daisy, when he first met her he didn’t want her to leave. I left instructions advising we have been trying to teach Neo how to sit and when we returned after a week and I gave him a treat he sat straight away and has continued to do so since! I’m really impressed! We came home to a very happy and chilled boy!”

“I cannot recommend Mia highly enough for pet sitting. She recently looked after my two dogs, Dolly and Mimi, and did an absolutely incredible job. Mimi is anxious who usually struggles with new people and changes to her routine. Mia was patient and understanding of Mimi's specific needs. She took the time to make Mimi feel safe and comfortable, which gave me complete peace of mind while I was away. Dolly also had a wonderful time and was clearly well-looked after. Mia is reliable, communicative, and truly cares about the animals she watches. I received updates, and it was obvious that both dogs were happy and relaxed in her care. I will definitely be booking Mia again in the future. Thank you so much, Mia!”

“Debbie was great with our two little rescue dogs. They can be nervous around new people but she put them at ease very quickly. Debbie was easy to communicate with and we’d definitely book her again.”

He’s now the best dog , so friendly , so good with children and so fun to be around ! He’s always making us laugh. Having dogs in your life makes your life happier! I actually never had a dog growing up but I always had friends and boyfriends who had them I always found myself gravitating towards them. Since having Xylo I can’t believe I ever had a life without him by my side ! I frequently puppy sit a friends dog and have a friend with an anxious Frenchie who I’ve helped and assisted with , she’s now Xylos best friend ! She went from not liking other people and other dogs now they’re the best of friends and even enjoys playing with my daughter . When growing up I always wanted take my friends dogs on their leads . I had a partner for a few years and he had two Labs which were adorable we often took them for walks and trained them both together . I constantly asked questions and learnt how to look after them both. I took them out on my own as I didn’t work full time. I helped look after his elderly dog in and out of cars until his final days. I then found myself supporting his dog left behind in his grief of his best buddy. I have an Advanced DBS My home is in the perfect spot for dogs , I have a big garden that backs on to multiple fields. I have beaches near by , parks , forests , lakes, rivers , quieter roads and a high fenced spacious garden. I also have a national trust membership which gives us a variety of different opportunities for walks. We also have a gated driveway . There’s a dog park at the top of my road that has play equipment suitable for dogs and is a huge gated area that I like to rent out when having other dogs especially for meeting for the first time !

About: I have lived most of my life with one or more dogs at home and my family currently has four of them. For me, home is where the dog is. During university, my flatmate and I fostered 9 different dogs spread out over 2 years. The dogs were awaiting their flights to their forever homes, travelling from Cyprus to the UK. The periods of fostering ranged from 2 weeks to 3 months. This has taught me to take care of anxious dogs who had never had homes before or had been poorly treated by their owners. I also regularly dog sit my friend's 2 year old female labrador, as well as my family dogs. Unfortunately the place I rent doesn’t allow pets and so am restricted to drop in visits, house sitting and doggy walks. As I am a junior doctor, my availability will be very dependent on my rota schedule, however I am happy to discuss and work around it whenever possible. Many walks throughout the day, some exercise in the park and even some training if asked. Thanks to my childhood and the fostering experience I have carried out during university, I am able to easily adapt to different characters and breeds easily as well as adapting to your dog's specific needs.

About: Hi, I’m Dai, a reliable and caring dog sitter who provides pet sitting in your dog’s own home, allowing them to remain comfortable in familiar surroundings while you’re away. I’ve owned dogs for over 15 years and have spent that time caring for dogs of different breeds, sizes and personalities. Alongside looking after my own dogs, I’ve regularly cared for dogs belonging to friends and family, giving me valuable hands-on experience with a wide range of temperaments and routines. I work full-time in a remote role, which gives me the flexibility to work from different locations and spend more time with the pets in my care. This means your dog can enjoy companionship and attention throughout the day, rather than being left alone for long periods. I understand how important it is to find someone you can trust with both your pet and your home. In my spare time, I volunteer within the community, a role that requires me to hold a DBS check, providing additional reassurance to owners when entrusting me with their pets and property. Whether your dog enjoys long walks, playtime, plenty of cuddles or simply sticking to their normal routine, I’ll ensure they receive the care, attention and exercise they need while you’re away. I’ll also keep you updated with regular photos and messages so you can have complete peace of mind. My aim is simple: to provide a trustworthy, professional and caring service that keeps both you and your dog happy. Pet care fits well into my routine as I work remotely and can be flexible about where I work. This allows me to spend quality time with pets throughout the day, whether that’s providing companionship, feeding, walks or simply keeping them company in their own home. I am happy to work around a pet’s usual routine and keep owners updated regularly while they are away. When caring for pets in their own home, my priority is maintaining their normal routine and ensuring they feel safe, comfortable and relaxed while their owners are away. I take the time to understand each pet’s feeding schedule, exercise requirements, favourite activities and any specific instructions so that their day-to-day life remains as consistent as possible. I treat every home with the same respect and care that I would my own. I am reliable, trustworthy and understand the importance of keeping both pets and property secure. My volunteering role requires me to hold a DBS check, providing additional reassurance to owners. I provide regular updates, photos and messages throughout each booking so owners can see how their pets are getting on and have peace of mind while they’re away. Whether caring for an energetic dog, a senior pet or an independent cat, I always aim to provide attentive, responsible and compassionate care.

Chichester pet owners share their Rover experiences
Kara stayed at ours for 6 days whilst we were away - during this time she gave us frequent updates (including photos) which was so lovely to see. Upon our return, it was clear that our cat felt really relaxed and safe with Kara and she’d clearly been well looked after. In addition, Kara went above and beyond to care for our home which was very much appreciated. We would welcome Kara back with open arms!
We returned home last night after a fortnight away! Cris and Monika house sat for us and loved and spoiled our dog Aimee whilst we were away. We had regular updates with pics and vids and it was clear to us from these that we made the right decision. This was to have her looked after at home but most importantly that we had chosen Cris and Monika. We (but more importantly Aimee) couldn’t be more happy.
