“Sebastian was great looking after Logan and provided regular updates with pictures which I really appreciated! Logan is quite anxious but immediately connected with how calm Sebastian is, and it was great to see Logan make a new friend!”

“Marc looked after Beth for us very well while we had an evening out. She has really taken to him and seemed very happy and well cared for. A lovely chap. Would recommend.”

About: I have a love for all pets, especially dogs. I live in Horsham in a house with an average size garden. I have lovingly cared for my own dog and now relish helping to care for yours. I am currently on a career break so have no fixed commitments. This means I am flexible and can be available throughout the week and most weekends. In order to care for your dog I would like you to tell me about their personality, the things they enjoy and what to avoid. I will care for your pet as if they were my own. As a keen walker I am more than happy to be out in all weathers.

About: I’ve always been around dogs and have lots of hands-on experience caring for them. Alongside my own three-year-old Golden Retriever, Milo, I regularly look after family and friends’ dogs, giving me experience with a wide range of breeds, sizes and personalities. Milo is a friendly, playful dog who loves walks, swimming and meeting new friends, but I understand that every dog is different and has their own personality. Some dogs love the excitement of group walks, while others prefer their own space and a quieter one-to-one walk — I’m happy to adapt to whatever makes your dog feel comfortable and happy. I’m confident looking after all types of dogs, from energetic puppies who need plenty of exercise and attention, to older dogs who prefer a gentler pace. I’m also happy to follow any routines your dog is used to, including feeding schedules, medication, training routines or any special requirements. My priority is always making sure your dog feels safe, relaxed and cared for while giving you complete peace of mind. Whether it’s a walk, a drop-in visit or house sitting, I’ll treat your dog like one of my own. I have a flexible schedule, which means I’m able to offer walks, drop-in visits and house sitting throughout the week, including weekdays and weekends. I’m happy to work around your dog’s usual routine, whether they need a regular daily walk, a lunchtime visit, some company while you’re out, or care while you’re away. I understand that dogs thrive on consistency, so I’ll always take the time to learn their routine, preferences and any little things that help them feel comfortable. Your dog’s safety and happiness are always my top priorities. As a dog owner myself, I understand how important it is to leave your pet with someone you can trust. I take the time to get to know each dog individually, including their personality, energy levels and any specific needs they may have. I’m happy to follow your instructions around feeding, medication, routines and anything else that helps your dog feel settled. For walks, I’ll make sure your dog is comfortable and safe, whether that’s enjoying a fun group walk with suitable companions or having a quieter one-to-one walk if they prefer their own space. I’ll always treat your home and your dog with the same care and respect I would expect for Milo. I’ll keep you updated with photos and messages, so you can have peace of mind knowing your dog is happy and well cared for.
About: I’ve been around dogs my entire life and had a family dog growing up from when I was 10 years old! I absolutely love dogs and the joy they bring to life. I’ve always looked after my own dog and would take her for walks, feed, play with and bathe her. As an adult my partner and I brought home a Cavapoo puppy Bella in October of 2022 so have experience with a high energy puppy as well. We take her for walks every day and she is well cared for in our home and would love to do the same for your dog! I am currently working full-time but my job is work from home so I am always home during the day so I am available during the day and on the weekends both my partner and I are home and able to dog sit! I live in a ground floor flat which has an enclosed balcony and we have a 1.5 year old Cavapoo to keep your fur baby company! We live right by a park and open field so have plenty of space to get outside and go for walks as well! We do have a spare room so do have the space to keep the dogs separated if need be as well.

“Tanya was amazing, she came to my house with just 1 days notice to look after our dog Kodi who we only recently rehomed. Tanya sent photos of Kodi and she looked very settled. I will definitely be using Tanya again! Thank you ☺️”

About: My kitten of 18 years passed away last year, so I now have an empty nest. I know from experience how hard it is to find someone you trust to leave your baby with when you need to go away, so I'm offering a home from home for your pet. I have experience in giving all types of medication, and understanding different behaviours... and most important of all, your pet will be welcome up on the couch for cuddles. I am home all day so they will not be left alone, and can send you updates and photos as often as you wish :) I work from home, so your pet will have my attention whenever they want or need. This also means I can fit in any feeding or medication schedual. I will also be free to contact any time. I am home all day, so your baby will not be left alone... unless that's their thing! If they're young and want play time, I'll be there to play... or if they're a bit older and just want to lay on the couch and get stroked I can do that too :)

About: ⭐ Star Sitter Home-from-Home Pet Care in Horsham We provide a calm, home-from-home environment for friendly dogs needing day care, overnight stays, or holiday care. Plus cat care in your own home. Dogs stay with us as part of family life and enjoy plenty of companionship, enrichment, exercise, and affection. For cats and small pets, we offer drop-in visits and care in the comfort of their own home, helping to maintain their usual routine while you’re away. We have experience caring for dogs and cats of all ages, including those requiring medication or additional support. Our care is particularly well suited to friendly companion breeds, smaller dogs, and pets who enjoy a relaxed, family environment. We both absolutely love animals and have always had pets in our lives. We each currently have our own dogs—a small Cavapoo and a Shih Tzu—so we truly understand how much pets mean as part of the family. Between us, we have many years of experience with dogs, cats and small animals, including rabbits. We understand that every pet is different, and we always take the time to get to know their individual routines, personalities and little quirks so they feel comfortable, safe and well cared for. I work on a freelance basis so have a flexible schedule which allows me to give pets plenty of time, attention and companionship throughout the day. Working alongside me is my friend Teresa who works within a school, who has regular free time in the school holidays, weekends and after school, meaning between us we can offer consistent, reliable care. I have a fully enclosed garden with plenty of space for dogs to run around, explore and enjoy being outside safely. We both grew up with dogs and cats and have continued caring for family pets over the years, as well as providing feeding visits and check-ins for others’. 🐾 We have experience with dogs and cats at all life stages, from playful puppies/kittens through to seniors, and understand the different levels of care, patience and reassurance they may need. One of our own cats was an indoor Bengal with additional needs, so we are confident administering medication and providing gentle, attentive and patient care, always tailored to each animal’s individual needs. Your pet’s comfort, happiness and wellbeing are always our priority. We aim to provide a calm, reassuring presence so they feel safe, settled and loved while you’re away. We also offer reliable local walks and drop-in visits in the Horsham area, ideal for busy owners, workdays or holidays. We also have very close links to a vet surgery in the area and are able to help with transportation to Vets visits if needed. We’re always happy to send updates and photos, so you can feel completely at ease knowing your pet is in kind and capable hands 💛 🐾 Suitability & Home Environment We offer a calm, home-from-home environment and are best suited to small to medium sized, friendly, sociable dogs who are comfortable around other dogs and in a home setting. As we have our own dogs and may care for more than one at a time, we are not the right fit for dogs with aggressive behaviours or those who prefer to be the only pet. Having said that we never have more than 3 or 4 dogs at any one time to ensure we can give them the attention they deserve. We always arrange a meet & greet to ensure everyone is happy and comfortable. If you’d like to have a chat or arrange a meet & greet, we’d love to hear from you 😊 Between us, we can cover all weekly pet care needs. As I work on a freelance basis, I have a flexible schedule which allows me to dedicate plenty of time and attention to the pets in my care throughout the day. My colleague works within a school and has regular time off, including holidays, so between us we’re able to offer consistent, reliable cover across weekdays, evenings and weekends. This means we can be flexible to suit your needs and ensure your pets aren’t left without care or companionship. When caring for pets, whether in our home or the owner’s home, we always aim to keep things as calm, familiar and consistent as possible. We take the time to understand each pet’s usual routine, including feeding times, walks, sleeping arrangements and any specific needs, so they feel comfortable and settled. In the owner’s home, we respect their space and follow their pet’s normal routine closely, providing companionship, care and plenty of reassurance while they’re away. In our own homes, we offer a clean, safe and relaxed environment with fully enclosed gardens for secure outdoor time. We only take on a small number of pets so we can give them plenty of attention, care and supervision, making sure they feel at ease and well looked after. We’re also very happy to provide updates and photos, so owners can feel reassured that their pets are happy, safe and in caring hands.
“This is the first time I have used Rover or any dog sitting service, so I I was slightly nervous . Sophie was perfect . My 11 week old puppy was very calm and happy when I got back . I will definitely be booking Sophie again .”

“We had a great experience leaving Josie with Delilah for one night. She was very kind, attentive, and clearly cared about Josie’s wellbeing. We got updates during the stay and it was obvious she was well looked after. We‘d absolutely recommend Delilah and would be happy to book her again!”

Whether it's providing company during the day, regular exercise, or maintaining a familiar routine, I can ensure your dog receives the care, attention, and affection they deserve. Your dog's safety, happiness, and wellbeing are my top priorities. At my home, I have a large, secure enclosed garden where dogs can safely play and explore. I also offer drop-in visits for pets who need feeding, companionship, toilet breaks, playtime, or simply a reassuring check-in while you're out. I'll make sure your pet feels safe, comfortable, and well looked after until you return.
“Charlotte was amazing throughout this whole process - from the beginning of meeting her to the actual dog sitting event. She took the time to meet my girls and understand there needs. Throughout the time away we had regular updates and pictures and my girls had the best time. Ste stayed in our home so there was less disruption and anxiety for them, which is very important. She is such a warm friendly person whom I’m so impressed by abs she will definitely be my go to for all future events. Thank you Charlotte from the bottom of our hearts x”

“Philippa recently looked after our 4 pets whilst we were away for a week. We had regular contact and pictures of the pets whilst we were away and we came back to an immaculate house and happy pets. Thank you again.”

“Trustworthy, Loving & Professional Highly Recommend Shellina We were away and leaving both our cat and dog with Shellina was absolutely the right decision. From the very beginning, she kept us consistently updated with photos and messages, which made a huge difference while we were away. It was clear that both of our pets were not only well cared for, but genuinely comfortable and happy. Shellina gave them so much attention, affection, and cuddles that, honestly, they didn’t even feel our absence. That says everything. She followed their routines carefully, ensured they were well fed, exercised, and emotionally settled. Our dog enjoyed plenty of walks and playtime, and both pets received constant love and interaction. She even helped them socialise, which was a great added touch. She stayed in our home, treated everything with respect, and handled everything in a very professional and organised way. What stood out most was the peace of mind — we didn’t worry for a single moment. That level of trust is not easy to find. Shellina clearly loves animals and takes her work seriously. We are incredibly grateful for the level of care she provided and would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable, loving, and professional pet sitter. Thank you again, Shellina — wishing you continued success.”

It’s super important for them to feel as comfortable and happy as possible! I will always be honest and inform you of any issues or challenges that potentially arise - without causing fear or worry.

About: I’ve grown up around dogs and cats my whole life and couldn’t imagine a world without them. I have taken care of furry babies for friends, family and employers, and haven’t found one I don't love like my own! I’m currently working part time and so I have plenty of time to exercise, engage and play with your wonderful babies. No matter their size! I treat your furry babies as my own, loved and spoilt! Having a pet is such a special privilege and I treat it as such.
“This was Samantha's first booking with me and it's always a nervous time. I needn't have worried at all. Sam and Marni (my dog) clearly gelled from the start and went on lots of lovely walks together, meeting family, having coffee out in town and generally having a whale of a time from all the pictures Sam kindly sent me. The cats were fluffy and happy on my return and didn't give Sam too much trouble getting them in from their daily forages. She even kindly did some ironing for me which wasn't expected but was very gratefully received! Would definitely have Sam again and hope she will continue to be a Roverite.”

“Norman seemed very happy staying with Lesley. He is a rehomed dog and only 20 months old, so he settled pretty well given his circumstances. Lesley was very flexible, and accommodated his needs, he was definitely spoilt! :)”

Pet owners share their Rover experiences - Horsham
Brad was an excellent sitter for our greyhound Collin. He was communicating through out the sit and very attentive to Collins needs. He looked after both Collin and the house with equal measure. Colin had an excellent time and had clearly had lots of walks and pets in our absence. Brad is clearly very loving with pets and easily bond's with them. We would definitely book him again !

Erin has been amazing. I was so concerned about leaving our 12 year old dog behind for the first time when we had booked a holiday abroad. I needn’t of worried as Erin took such good care of him, giving us morning and evening updates. She has treated him as her own and I can see he has had such a good time without us. Erin treats your home with so much respect and goes over and above to look after your fur baby.

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Post & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Rubbish & recycling: Taking bins out on scheduled rubbish collection days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best time to agree on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a 'home cheat sheet' that includes your preferred Horsham walking routes, the location of your favourite pet shop, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes dedicated customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement programme for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover must pass an identity verification before they can list their services. An identity verification confirms that the sitter is who they say they are based on their documents.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page .
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Horsham choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a key safe or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. On Rover:
- 93% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 93% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 96% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest vet. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorisation form for your regular vet. An authorisation form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
