About: I’ve been around dogs my entire life and had a family dog growing up from when I was 10 years old! I absolutely love dogs and the joy they bring to life. I’ve always looked after my own dog and would take her for walks, feed, play with and bathe her. As an adult my partner and I brought home a Cavapoo puppy Bella in October of 2022 so have experience with a high energy puppy as well. We take her for walks every day and she is well cared for in our home and would love to do the same for your dog! I am currently working full-time but my job is work from home so I am always home during the day so I am available during the day and on the weekends both my partner and I are home and able to dog sit! I live in a ground floor flat which has an enclosed balcony and we have a 1.5 year old Cavapoo to keep your fur baby company! We live right by a park and open field so have plenty of space to get outside and go for walks as well! We do have a spare room so do have the space to keep the dogs separated if need be as well.
About: Aswell as having my own dog and growing up with dogs, I have assisted my mum with her pet care services business in 2017, looking after customers best friends if she wasn’t able too. I’ve also helped on dog walks and pop ins for dogs and cats. I work from home 99% of the time and for that 1%, I get plenty of notice if I’m needed elsewhere. With my own woof Lily, we go out for a walk in the morning before I log on, out at lunchtime and then the evening again depending on our plans! I have a suitable garden size for toilet breaks and ball play. I also work full time hours over 4 days so off work Friday to Sunday. I have a fenced and gated garden, we have room for a crate of needed and will have a stair gate to separate access between upstairs and downstairs. We also have a spare bedroom which let’s be honest, is Lily room!

“Rusty had a lovely time with Martine. You can tell she's an absolute dog lover and sent us some lovely pictures of Rusty playing with the other dogs. Would 100% recommend Martine to anyone looking for doggy daycare.”

“Absolutely fantastic couple that take amazing care of Molly. She pull's me straight back every time after the meet and greet and always comes home tired from having fun with Murphy. Cant recommend enough a lovely couple with alot of time and knowledge about keeping your little family member safe and entertained.”

“Wow! Ember was in such safe and engaging hands with Iddy. She trotted off without so much as a second glance and by the looks of the photos had the best day. Super communication and updates about her doggy daycare. Looking forward to her next adventure with Iddy.”

“We left Beth our 6 month old cocker spaniel with Craig while we had a day out, our first outing without her. She was very happy and obviously very well looked after. Got on famously with Piper and had a whale of a time by all accounts. Would definitely book again with this lovely family.”

“I was very lucky that Portia was able to help me out last minute, was very accommodating to my new puppy. Sent me updates and photos. Very kind lady and I was very happy that my puppy was in great hands.”

About: I am very flexible on timings and I mostly work from home so able to accommodate throughout the day. Long walks in the woodlands are my favourite thing to do, I am sure your dog will agree with me. Everything can be arranged beforehand and any specific preferences I am all hears. Previously worked for one of the nation's biggest Dog Welfare Charity which allowed me to continuously engage with dogs of all breeds, ages, and behavioural traits. I have learned a lot about training, enrichment, and the daily needs of dogs. I understand leaving your friends in the hands of another person can be quite stressful, to minimize this impact I am happy to give you continuous updates on mobile/Whatsapp and accommodate to any other requirements specific to your household. I mostly work from home and have a flexible schedule so I am able to adapt to your pet's needs. Any specific requests please just let me know. I have a house with a large fenced garden, your dog can be safe while playing around the house, and get some outdoor enrichment as well aside from toilet breaks. Furthermore, I will go on long walks to the country park and woodland nearby.
“Charlotte and her family were very welcoming and accommodating for Loki and he had a lovely day with them and playing with their dog. He didn’t want to leave to come home! I would definitely use them again”

“Geraldine was absolutely wonderful with our little pup! She has a heart of gold and sent me the loveliest updates all throughout the day - I could tell that our furbaby was totally in love with her, and when I collected her at the end of the day she was full of smiles. Could not recommend Geraldine enough - thank you so much for taking such good care of Baby! ❤️”

“Gemma was amazing, I was late to pick up on the second day and she was quite happy to have him a little while longer. Scruff came out happy and very tired both days which helped me a lot ;D. Highly recommend - will use Gemma again if in the area. Thank you! Liam & Scruff.”

“We didn’t hesitate leaving Winnie with Amy and her family, who welcomed Winnie into their home. It looks like Winnie had a lovely day and we would definitely book again the next time we need doggy day care. Thanks Amy!”

About: 🐾Home-from-Home Boarding - One Dog Family at a Time - Secure Garden - WFH Hi, I'm Maria, and I live with my wife Helen and our teenage sons in the beautiful village of Handcross, near Haywards Heath. For many years, our home revolved around our much-loved cockapoo, Sox. After recently saying goodbye to him, we're not quite ready for another dog of our own, but we really miss having a furry companion around the house and would love to share our home, care and affection with your dog. One thing that makes our care a little different is that we only welcome dogs from one family at a time. This means your dog won't have to compete for attention or share their space with lots of unfamiliar dogs. Instead, they'll enjoy a calm, relaxed environment with plenty of one-to-one care and affection. Having cared for Sox from puppyhood through to his senior years, including supporting him with mobility issues and medication, we're experienced in caring for dogs at every stage of life. We're both home during the day, so your dog will rarely be left alone and will enjoy plenty of companionship, attention and love throughout their stay. We know how important it is to feel confident when leaving your dog in someone else's care. That's why we'll take the time to get to know their routine, personality and individual needs, helping them settle in at their own pace. Whether your dog loves long countryside walks and adventures or prefers a cosy spot on the sofa and plenty of cuddles, we'll make sure they feel safe, happy and completely at home. Your dog will have free run of our home and be treated as one of the family, just as Sox always was. We have a secure enclosed garden and are surrounded by beautiful countryside, woodland trails and private estate grounds, offering plenty of opportunities for exercise, enrichment and lots of sniff-filled adventures. We'll also keep you updated with messages and photos during your dog's stay, so you can relax knowing they're happy, settled and being well looked after. We can't wait to meet you and welcome your dog into our home-from-home. 🐾 We’re used to having a dog who enjoyed at least three walks a day, and as we’re both at home, we have plenty of time and flexibility to follow your dog’s usual routine. We offer a calm, safe home from home where your dog is treated like part of the family. Lots of one to one attention without other unfamiliar dogs around 🐾 We would like to keep everything familiar for them, including walks, feeding times, rest and any little extras like medication or special care.
About: I’ve taken care of friends and neighbours dogs for over 10 years now. I now also run my own pet care services and dog walking business which has been running over a year now with regular clients daily. We have our own family pet dog who’s 4 now, she’s the most loyal and fun friendly dog anyone could ask for. Loves anyone and anything. Happy family home. I rub my own dog walking and pet care services business, so alongside this I’ll have plenty of time to look after your dog and go for long walks in the farmland nearby. Also if suited they can join me on group walks with my other clients. I have 3 children who all love the dogs we have to stay at our house too so they will always have a lot of fuss made of them. I have a fully fenced safe and secure decent sized back garden and lovely fields and farmland near by available to walk too as well. I’m fully insured, dbs checked and hold animal first aid certificate which I keep up to date regularly.
“Samantha was absolutely fantastic! Unlike several other sitters that I contacted, Samantha was very quick to respond to my message and really helped me out at short notice. She provided an update of Tigger's stay with lots of (very cute!) photos. Tigger seemed like he had a wonderful time with her. I would have absolutely no hesitation in recommending Samantha and I'm sure we'll be returning soon! Thank you!”

“Michelle was delightful, calm, patient and kind from start to finish. Polka was very excited on the day Michelle looked after her, and she gave Michelle and her dog Jack little rest. Despite Polka’s crazy energy levels, Michelle still managed to pay her compliments at the end of the day!”

The median cost per day for doggy day care in Horsham is £30

When I dropped Molly off its as though she had been to Sam before, straight in and made herself at home. She had a great time playing with other dogos and then came home and was comatosed. Will definitely be sending molly again and would highly recommend. Sam is a very lovely friendly woman and takes very good care of your pup.

Your dog’s first day care experience is a big milestone! To help your pup settle in comfortably, we recommend:
- Food and treats portioned for the day, with feeding instructions
- Your dog's lead and collar (ensure tags are up-to-date)
- Any seasonal gear, such as paw-safe wax for winter or a cooling vest for the summer
- Medication, if applicable, with clear dosage notes
- Any special care instructions or training tips to help your sitter provide the most personalised care possible
Tip: Upload this information directly through the Rover app before drop-off. The more context you provide, the better your sitter can tailor the day to your dog.
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog's vaccines is the best way to be 'boarding ready'. Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Sitters in South East England may request that your dog be up-to-date on core vaccines, such as Canine Distemper, Canine Parvovirus, Canine Adenovirus (also known as DHP or DHPPi), Leptospirosis and Kennel Cough. Cats may be required to have Feline Panleucopenia Virus, Feline Herpesvirus, Feline Calicivirus, and Feline Leukaemia Virus up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poo breaks occured. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available for dedicated customer support by email or chat if you have concerns.
The personalised, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.

Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page .
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English, French, German, and Spanish from Mon-Sat 9am to 6pm. All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
We require sitters to operate in compliance with applicable local licensing requirements. In England, pet sitters who board dogs or provide doggy day care as a business may need a valid licence under the Animal Welfare (Licensing of Activities Involving Animals) Regulations 2018. When vetting your sitter, ask if they meet local licensing requirements for dog boarding. This confirmation is important for coverage under the Rover Guarantee. Read more about our requirement for following local licensing requirements .
