“Karmen was so good with Nell, she communicated with us throughout the stay with photos and messages that help put our minds at ease as Nell hadn’t stayed away from home before. I would highly recommend Karmen and we will 100% be booking again.”

“This is the second visit that Izzy has had with Carolyn and her lovely family. Carolyn was a lifesaver and helped me out with a last-minute request for doggy daycare. Izzy was right at home and is now snuggled up sleeping. Thanks so much 😁🐕”

“I can't recommend Rere highly enough after the wonderful care she provided for our young dog yesterday. From the start, she was exceptionally professional, arranging a meet and greet with our one-year-old pup to ensure she felt comfortable and reassured before her stay. As an official kennel club-registered day care provider, Rere has a thorough and reassuring process, including a comprehensive form that made it clear she was prepared for every eventuality. Her home is perfectly suited to dogs, with the entire ground floor dedicated to their comfort and a small but practical outdoor space. What truly stood out for me was how quickly our dog bonded with Rere — it was clear from the first meeting that she was in safe and loving hands. Rere's flexibility with timings was fantastic, and the regular updates in the form of photos and videos were a lovely touch, allowing me to see just how much fun our pup was having. When I picked her up, it was evident she'd had an amazing day. I'll definitely be entrusting Rere with our dog again in the future, and the fact that she also offers overnight stays is an added bonus. All in all, Rere provides a safe, happy, and welcoming environment, and I wholeheartedly recommend her services! Sarah”

“Sarah and family accepted a request at very short notice and are lovely - Syd really enjoyed a rainy day at their house playing with their equally lovely cocker spaniel, Ivy. Thanks, Sarah!”

About: I have lived with dogs my entire life. Canine first aid trained in 2026. Outdoors and dog lover. My favourite way to pass the time is on long walks in nature. I am currently taking a break from working in the music industry while deciding on my next steps moving forward. This means that I have plenty of time to tend to your pets needs as I am not currently tied to a 9-5 schedule. I am open to direction on a case by case basis. Please inform me of your pets individual needs e.g command words, favourite walking routes, on/off lead preferences. I am happy to edit my service based on what it is you feel your pet needs.
“Viviana was great looking after our puppy Kimchi. She sent us lots of photos and video updates on how she was getting on. We could tell she had a lovely time and would have quite happily stayed when we went to pick her up. Wouldn't hesitate to book again. Thanks”

“Svetlana was absolutely brilliant with my puppy Bobby and even helped me out on such short notice, she was very welcoming and Bobby throughly enjoyed his time there, would recommend to anyone.”

“Claire has been amazing! When it comes to our little Pickle we needed to find someone who could provide a chill space and understanding of reactivity. We had a meetup inside Claire's home and then went on a little walk around the area which really settled Pickle and set us up for a great first day care day. Thank you so much for taking amazing care of our little boy, he can't wait to come again 🐶”

“Izzy had the most wonderful time with Nessa and her three gorgeous doggies. She had so much fun playing ball with them and had loads of lovely walks and time in the garden. She will definitely be returning!”

About: I've grown up around animals my whole life, and caring for them has always come naturally to me. Now living on my own in Bolnore Village, Haywards Heath! I'm lucky to be surrounded by beautiful fields, parks, and a huge open space right next to my flat, perfect for walks, playtime, and outdoor fun. I genuinely have to have animals in my life - spending time with them brings me joy and calm, and I make sure they feel that same comfort and attention in return. I’m home most of the day, so your pet will always have company, care, and cuddles. I work remotely from hove full-time. I rise early and enjoy staying in watching tv or finding another incredible spot around West Sussex to walk! Whether caring for pets in my own home or in a pet owner's home, I always aim to make them feel safe, loved, and comfortable, just like they would with their family. In my home, I provide a calm, clean, and welcoming environment with plenty of space for play and relaxation. I live in Bolnore Village, surrounded by nature and open fields, so dogs get plenty of outdoor time, stimulation, and exercise. I'm home throughout the day, so pets are never left alone for long and receive constant attention and care. When I care for pets in their own home, I respect their routine and space while offering the same level of love, company, and attentiveness. I stick closely to feeding schedules, walk times, and any specific instructions from the owner, including administering medication if needed - I also used to be a live-in carer :)

About: I’ve grown up with dogs since I was 9 and often walked people’s dogs on ‘Borrow my Doggy’ in London and Sussex. I’ve often looked after friend’s dogs when they’re on holiday. I work from home so am able to look after a dog easily. I can walk dogs in the morning, at lunch and in the evening. I can also look after dogs at the weekend. I live very close to the park. I live in a flat but am only a few minutes from the park so can walk there very easily, multiple times a day with the dog.

“We had such a lovely experience with Jade! She was really easy to communicate with and kept us in the loop the whole time with regular updates and photos. Pixie clearly had the best time, especially playing with Rex! It was lovely to see how comfortable and settled she was in a new environment. We’d happily recommend her and would definitely book again 😊”

About: I had my first dog when I was 8 and owned 4 dogs. Living near a country park makes walks easy and fun for your gorgeous dog! My week day is mostly spent at home apart from a few hours. Our home is very happy, relaxed with two gorgeous cats who grew up with our family dog. I have a wonderful fenced garden with plenty of space for your faithful friend to enjoy during their visit. We are a friendly family. We have two gorgeous cats.
“Luna was so excited to see Jess and Dom again today. A clear sign that she loved her time with them. The photos updates were lovely and she came home very happy and worn out after a fun day.”

“We secured our booking after a meet & greet where Gin and Laura seemed happy with each other ahead of her full day stay a few days later. Laura was very amenable, flexible and friendly with Gin and us humans. I would be very happy to contact Laura again when I visit my daughter in Hassocks. Thank you for enabling our day trip to London.”

I couldn't recommend Nada highly enough! She is an experienced and knowledgeable dog carer who genuinely loves what she does. From the moment I met her, I felt completely confident leaving my dog in her care. Before the stay, Nada was incredibly thorough and professional. She shared to me a detailed list of key questions about my dog's routine, personality, preferences, and any special requirements. It was clear she wanted to understand everything needed to make the stay as comfortable and enjoyable as possible, which gave me great confidence from the start. Her home is perfect for dogs, with plenty of indoor space to relax and a secure outdoor area where my dog can play and explore safely. It's a welcoming environment that's clearly been set up with dogs in mind. Throughout my dog's stay, Nada kept me updated with lovely photos and videos, which was so reassuring and a joy to receive. It was obvious my dog was happy, relaxed, and receiving plenty of love and attention. I had complete peace of mind knowing my dog was in such capable hands. I wouldn't hesitate to book with Nada again and would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy, experienced, and genuinely caring dog sitter.

Hephzibah had a great time with Hollie & Hollie who sent me video of her during her stay. When Hollie brought her home in the evening she was delighted to be back home but returned to Hollie before she left us, which she never does for other people. I have no problem recommending Hollie and Hollie to other people.

Luna came back a very happy and thoroughly tuckered-out dog after her lovely day with Emily, Ryan and Dusty. My mind was completely at ease all day knowing she was with them, and I trust them entirely with Luna. Emily and Ryan were also incredibly kind and understanding when we were delayed getting back, which we really appreciated. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them, and Luna would be delighted to spend another day with them!

Harvey had a lovely day with Claire and can’t wait to go back! She took the time to understand our little character and we felt really relaxed leaving him in her capable hands. So lovely to find someone who can provide Harvey such lovely care in a calm environment. Thanks Claire

We had such a lovely experience with Jade! She was really easy to communicate with and kept us in the loop the whole time with regular updates and photos. Pixie clearly had the best time, especially playing with Rex! It was lovely to see how comfortable and settled she was in a new environment. We’d happily recommend her and would definitely book again 😊

Jenny took great care of our little boy! He can be a little nervous and reactive with new people but she was so accommodating, we had a meeting ahead of time where he could check out the house and get to know Jenny and her husband. We then booked in for half a day to ease him in and Jenny managed to fit in a walk and even squeezed in a snooze and a little cuddle before lunch! Thank you for being so understanding of his barking, he can't wait to come again ❤️

Your dog’s first day care experience is a big milestone! To help your pup settle in comfortably, we recommend:
- Food and treats portioned for the day, with feeding instructions
- Your dog's lead and collar (ensure tags are up-to-date)
- Any seasonal gear, such as paw-safe wax for winter or a cooling vest for the summer
- Medication, if applicable, with clear dosage notes
- Any special care instructions or training tips to help your sitter provide the most personalised care possible
Tip: Upload this information directly through the Rover app before drop-off. The more context you provide, the better your sitter can tailor the day to your dog.
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog's vaccines is the best way to be 'boarding ready'. Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Sitters in South East England may request that your dog be up-to-date on core vaccines, such as Canine Distemper, Canine Parvovirus, Canine Adenovirus (also known as DHP or DHPPi), Leptospirosis and Kennel Cough. Cats may be required to have Feline Panleucopenia Virus, Feline Herpesvirus, Feline Calicivirus, and Feline Leukaemia Virus up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poo breaks occured. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available for dedicated customer support by email or chat if you have concerns.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
We require sitters to operate in compliance with applicable local licensing requirements. In England, pet sitters who board dogs or provide doggy day care as a business may need a valid licence under the Animal Welfare (Licensing of Activities Involving Animals) Regulations 2018. When vetting your sitter, ask if they meet local licensing requirements for dog boarding. This confirmation is important for coverage under the Rover Guarantee. Read more about our requirement for following local licensing requirements .
