“Thanks to Karmen again for looking after Madge for boarding twice in November. Madge is totally at home with the family and disappears into the house as soon as we arrive!! Thanks for the great care - I’d recommend Karmen and family to anyone for daycare or boarding.”

“This is the first time he has been away from me overnight. He came home full of beans and very chilled out, so obviously enjoyed his stay. Would not hesitate leaving him with Shelley and Marcus overnight again . They also kept me updated with pictures and texts. First class care. Would definitely recommend 😀”

“My little dog Ivy stayed with Nessa for 3 nights and was so well looked after. I received lots of photos and videos of Ivy enjoying her walks and being with Nessa’s gorgeous dogs. I have no hesitation in recommending Nessa as she is very caring and I was delighted with the care and attention that she showed to Ivy - many thanks.”

“I cannot recommend Hollie enough - she has been an absolute dream to deal with. Kind enough for me to pop over ahead of the booking so that our dog, Barney, was introduced to her and her lovely dogs. Hollie very thoughtfully kept us in touch with what Barney was up to and really taking care of him during the intense heat we’ve been experiencing. She loves dogs and it really shows through. Thank you Hollie - it’s really appreciated and I have another date to talk to you about! xx”

“Jennifer is exceptionally lovely lady who took the best care of my dog on my long weekend away. She was fantastic in communicating and kept me well informed of my dogs activities throughout the weekend. Would highly recommend”

“Tristan looked after my dog for a week. Who came back a very happy boy. He was very quick to respond to my numerous enquiries. I will be more than happy to leave my doggie with him again”

“I was so impressed with Lara and Simon, they did a fantastic job with my old pointer, Tilly. Tilly's very clingy and has a special diet, so she's not the easiest to look after, but they were really accommodating and did such an amazing job of making her feel welcome and keeping her happy! I would absolutely recommend them for anyone looking for a dogsitter ❤️”

About: have experience caring for cats in a home environment, providing attentive and reliable support tailored to each animal’s needs. My responsibilities have included feeding, refreshing water, cleaning litter trays, and ensuring a clean and comfortable space. I’ve also spent time engaging cats through play and companionship, while respecting their individual temperaments and routines. Where required, I have followed specific instructions such as administering medication and monitoring behaviour for any changes, giving owners peace of mind that their pets are safe and well cared for in their absence.

About: I have always had animals and cats front up and until earlier this year we had a lovely cat (Izzy) so I have extensive experience in caring and looking after animals.

“Sophie was fantastic at looking after Mollie. Mollie can be quite shy but was super happy having cuddles and pets with Sophie. She did a great job keeping me updated throughout and I would 100% recommend Sophie for all your cat sitting needs! Thank you Sophie! ❤️”

About: I have a genuine passion for looking after animals. As well as sights like Borrow My Doggy, I am also a member of Trusted Housesitters and have looked after a range of young, old, small and large dogs and have built up a great relationship with all owners I work with. I would love to be considered to look after your pet. I’m currently working partly remote, meaning I have more spare time to attend to the pets I look after, including more regular walks and cuddles of course! Despite living in a flat, it is extremely spacious with access to a courtyard and parks close by. I would be happy to show you around ahead of a service.

“Charlotte looked after our house and cat while we were away and did a fantastic job - she was in touch regularly with photos and we know our cat was much happier for having her around. I would absolutely recommend her to take care of your pets!”

About: I have grown up with dogs all my life as has my partner. I've mainly been around boxers (I can't remember a time that my parents haven't had a boxer). Gray has had a whole range of pets but always had a dog at home. Our current flat isn't dog friendly but we would love to have a pet when we move into a property more appropriate. We are also great at watering plants, taking in deliveries and caring for your house while you're away! We can work around your routines and mix walk, play and rest as required. We are also very understanding to each dogs individual needs. I currently work full time locally in Haywards Heath so I can pop round in the day time on my lunch break to let the dogs out whilst Gray is a teacher and can be more available during school holidays and weekends. We adapt ourselves to fit in with your routines and what works best for the dog. Our main priority is that while you are away your dog feels as comfortable as possible whilst in our care.
“Olivia has been an amazing resource when it comes to providing care for our young, crazy dog. She is always fast to reply to my dog sitting requests (even last minute ones) and sends updates once she is there. She genuinely cares for the wellbeing of your pet and has been nothing but trustworthy and reliable since the day we first messaged. Would definitely recommend her service for anyone in the area :)”

“Thank you Laura for taking care of our cat, Ziggy whilst we were away. We came home to a relaxed and contented Ziggy and it was great to receive daily photo updates. We would highly recommend Laura for anyone seeking trustworthy and reliable pet care. Thank you for giving us peace of mind whilst we were away.”

“I can't recommend Rere highly enough after the wonderful care she provided for our young dog yesterday. From the start, she was exceptionally professional, arranging a meet and greet with our one-year-old pup to ensure she felt comfortable and reassured before her stay. As an official kennel club-registered day care provider, Rere has a thorough and reassuring process, including a comprehensive form that made it clear she was prepared for every eventuality. Her home is perfectly suited to dogs, with the entire ground floor dedicated to their comfort and a small but practical outdoor space. What truly stood out for me was how quickly our dog bonded with Rere — it was clear from the first meeting that she was in safe and loving hands. Rere's flexibility with timings was fantastic, and the regular updates in the form of photos and videos were a lovely touch, allowing me to see just how much fun our pup was having. When I picked her up, it was evident she'd had an amazing day. I'll definitely be entrusting Rere with our dog again in the future, and the fact that she also offers overnight stays is an added bonus. All in all, Rere provides a safe, happy, and welcoming environment, and I wholeheartedly recommend her services! Sarah”

“Cannot recommend these lovely ladies enough. They kindly agreed to my last minute request and an early start. They looked after Teddy as if he was their own and sent lots of updates. He had the best day! Will definitely be back.”

“This is the second visit that Izzy has had with Carolyn and her lovely family. Carolyn was a lifesaver and helped me out with a last-minute request for doggy daycare. Izzy was right at home and is now snuggled up sleeping. Thanks so much 😁🐕”

“Claire has been amazing! When it comes to our little Pickle we needed to find someone who could provide a chill space and understanding of reactivity. We had a meetup inside Claire's home and then went on a little walk around the area which really settled Pickle and set us up for a great first day care day. Thank you so much for taking amazing care of our little boy, he can't wait to come again 🐶”

“Tuesday had the best time with Jess and Dom! They were so communicative throughout the day and clearly took great care of him, fully indulging his puppy playfulness. I picked up a very content and tired dog at the end of the day. Would definitely recommend them :)”

“Izzy had the most wonderful time with Nessa and her three gorgeous doggies. She had so much fun playing ball with them and had loads of lovely walks and time in the garden. She will definitely be returning!”

“Sarah and family accepted a request at very short notice and are lovely - Syd really enjoyed a rainy day at their house playing with their equally lovely cocker spaniel, Ivy. Thanks, Sarah!”

“From the moment I met Jordan and her husband I felt comfortable leaving Naia with them. Naias first session was great, she was excited to arrive, and Ivy was there to the last minute to say goodbye!”

“Jenny took great care of our little boy! He can be a little nervous and reactive with new people but she was so accommodating, we had a meeting ahead of time where he could check out the house and get to know Jenny and her husband. We then booked in for half a day to ease him in and Jenny managed to fit in a walk and even squeezed in a snooze and a little cuddle before lunch! Thank you for being so understanding of his barking, he can't wait to come again ❤️”

“Daniel has been a great Dogsitter. Milo absolutely loves him and his tail starts wagging as soon as we get out of the car to see him. He has a lovely dog Luna as a playmate for Milo and I couldn’t recommend him more.”

“This is the second time Delilah has looked after Rory (6 month-old golden retriever). Delilah is great with her and I think Rory really enjoys the company of Rio, Delilah’s dog. They went for a shady walk (hot day again!) and chilled inside and in the garden. I received plenty of photos during the day. I highly recommend Delilah.”

About: I've spent the last two 2.5 years working full-time in rescue kennels, bearing professional responsibility for the safety and wellbeing of dogs of all breeds, sizes, ages, and needs; including those coming from difficult and traumatic backgrounds. - So if you're looking for someone with professional experience that you can trust, as well as a genuine passion for providing dogs with high-quality care, then I'd love for you to get in touch! I can't wait to start getting to know your dogs, their personalities, and their needs! I currently have availability for walking, dog-sitting, and drop-in visits 7 days a week, any time of day. I am starting a new job in the middle of May. From then on I will have availability for walking and drop-in visits on evenings after 6pm, and availability for dog-sitting on evenings after 6pm and overnight - all 7 days a week. While a lot of my experience of providing safe care and a safe environment for dogs comes from my work in rescue kennels, I have also provided dog-sitting in homes on a number of occasions. - I'm currently well set up to look after dogs in clients’ homes, and I’m always keen to learn and follow any routines, rules, or instructions that you might have to ensure a safe, happy, and stress-free experience for both you and your dog. - I also have extensive experience of safely walking dogs in public spaces, and around other dogs. Walking dogs was a daily part of my work in rescue kennels, and a lot of the dogs I walked and encountered could be very reactive. You can rest assured that your dog will be safe, happy, and well looked after under my supervision when out and about. I want to add that I always prefer walking dogs on-lead. - I am not currently offering pet-sitting at my own home, as my family’s dog can initially be quite reactive to new dogs and needs to be introduced to them slowly.
“Stephanie certainly knows dogs, and she got along well with our highly energised 3-year-old Staffy. Very communicative and flexible because we had some last-minute schedule changes. I would recommend Stephanie and utilise her services again.”

She was very reliable and met at the exact time discussed, very friendly and made me feel less stressed leaving my puppy for the first time with her. About: I have grown up around animals my entire life, particularly dogs and cats, which has given me a lifelong understanding of animal care, behaviour, and wellbeing. I have gained hands-on experience through both pet care and house sitting, supporting family members and clients with their pets during times of illness, recovery, and travel. Most recently, I looked after my dad’s home and dog for several weeks while he recovered from surgery, ensuring his dog was walked, fed, and cared for within a calm and consistent routine. I offer solo, one-to-one dog walks that focus on calm handling, safety, and individual attention. I take time to understand each dog’s personality, energy levels, and routine to ensure they feel comfortable, secure, and well cared for. Alongside this, I have been trusted regularly through my cleaning work with clients’ homes and keys, and have also supported with occasional pet care during visits, including letting dogs out, keeping them company, and ensuring their wellbeing while owners are away. I have also spent time around cats throughout my life through family members and local cats in my area, and have further developed my experience through cat drop-in visits and house sitting. I am confident caring for a variety of feline personalities and understand the importance of a calm, gentle, and patient approach. I ensure feeding, litter care, and companionship are all handled carefully while respecting each cat’s individual needs. Previously, I volunteered at the RSPCA, which strengthened my passion for animal welfare and deepened my understanding of caring for animals in different environments. While travelling in Thailand, I also visited an ethical elephant sanctuary where I spent time helping care for rescued elephants, including feeding, washing, and spending time alongside them. It was a meaningful experience that further deepened my respect and love for animals. I am calm, reliable, and respectful of people’s homes, with a naturally caring approach to animals. I always aim to provide a safe, reassuring, and stress-free environment for pets while their owners are away. Fully insured for pet sitting and dog walking. I offer flexible availability throughout the week for dog walking, drop-in visits, and house sitting. I currently have daytime and afternoon availability on weekdays, with additional flexibility on weekends for walks, pet care, and overnight stays. For longer house sitting bookings, I may occasionally have my young daughter with me if previously discussed and agreed with owners. She is calm, gentle around animals, and respectful in home environments. I am always happy to communicate clearly about schedules and work with owners to find arrangements that suit both their pets’ needs and my availability. I understand how important trust is when inviting someone into your home and caring for your pets. Through my cleaning work, I have been trusted with clients’ house keys and access to their homes on a regular basis, which has helped me build a strong sense of responsibility, reliability, and respect for people’s spaces. I always aim to provide a calm, safe, clean, and caring environment for pets while keeping owners updated for peace of mind. I treat every home with care and respect, and I pride myself on being trustworthy, dependable, and attentive to each pet’s individual needs.

About: I’ve been around dogs and other pets for most of my life and love caring for them. I often look after my daughter’s dogs - a lively working cocker spaniel and a sweet bichon mixed breed. Before that, we had a much-loved Airedale who was a member of our family for many years, who we got as a puppy. I’ve also had other pets in the past who lived long, happy lives, so I understand the commitment, patience and love they need. Family, friends and neighbours have trusted me over the years to walk, feed and keep their pets company. Having cared for dogs with different temperaments and needs, I make sure each pet feels comfortable, safe and well looked after. Whether it’s walks, playtime or cuddles, I’ll treat your pet as if they were my own. My work is very flexible at the moment, which means I have plenty of spare time to dedicate to pet care. I love being around dogs, and I’m looking to spend more time looking after them because it brings me a lot of joy. With a little notice, I can easily fit walks, playtime and general care into my daily routine without any problem. I’m also available some weekends. In my home, pets are cared for as if they were my own. I have a safe, fenced garden where dogs can play and explore securely, and they’re always supervised. I make sure they feel comfortable, with plenty of walks, playtime and cuddles to suit their needs. In a pet owners home, I follow their usual routines closely so pets feel settled and cared for, keeping to their feeding, exercise and rest schedules. My priority is always to make pets feel safe, happy and loved.
About: My husband, Julian, and I can’t wait to meet your doggy! My day job is as a nurse (of humans!) which I’ve been doing for the last 17 years so I’m very accustomed to being responsible for and caring for others. I’ve had a dog for the last 6 years, his name is Jimmy, he’s a lurcher and a well loved member of our family even if he does manage to steal our treats occasionally! 🤣 We’ve often cared for our friends’ dogs when they’ve been on holiday and such like. We’re able to provide daily exercise, a safe environment and lots of cuddles. We’re both fully DBS checked for our jobs. My husband and I work flexible shift patterns so we can care for and spend as much time at home as possible with our young son and dog, this means we can be flexible with boarding and doggy day care. We’re willing to consider last minute requests. We’re often having to look for doggy boarding when we go on trips and holidays etc, so we know how stressful it is and thought we’d try to take some of the stress out of it for others, provide a home from home environment for your beloved dogs and get to make lots of new doggy friends at the same time! Julian and I will be jointly caring for your dog (with the help of our toddler too, he knows where the dog treats are kept!). We have 1 dog, he’s an old boy and mostly enjoys curling up to snooze and stealing food when he can. Our son is 2 years old, he has been around many different dogs, he loves playing with dogs, but is also aware when to give dogs space. We have an open plan downstairs which helps for observing, we’d never leave our child alone with any dogs. We have a secure garden space which is fully fenced. We’re not fussy about dogs being on furniture etc
“Delilah has been brilliant, Pom comes back very happy after his walks and we feel super comfortable with Delilah taking Pom out with all her experience with dogs and WCS. Thank you 😊”

“Sage had a great time staying with Karl and Albie( male labrador) for a week. We had regular picture updates to let us know how she was doing and she looked very happy and relaxed and would definitely recommend Karl looking after other dogs and will be using him again.”

“Luna had a great stay with Lauren and her family. Lauren was super communicative and sent photos and updates while Luna was there for the night. I would definitely recommend Lauren!”

“Delilah has been brilliant, we needed care short notice and she was very flexible. Super knowledgeable about worker cockers, Pom got on really well with Rio. Pleasure to deal with, thank you so much! Will be booking again.”

“Jade was superb and I will happily book her again. She clearly cares and loves dogs and our two had a great time staying with Jade with plenty of walks and cuddles. Great comms before and during the stay.”

“Jordan looked after Bailey and Nova as if they were her own. She sent plenty or pictures and videos, they went on beautiful walks and I could enjoy my holiday without having to worry about them. The dogs looked happy in all pictures which shows the care and love they received. I would highly recommend Jordan.”

“Daisy stayed over for 3 nights with Lauren, while we were away. She sent regular updates with photos and put our minds at ease so we could enjoy our time away, knowing that Daisy was being cared for so well! Thank you so much again x”

“Our Nala had a great time with Jess & Dom. We were sent lots of photo and video updates throughout her stay. She looked like she was was having the best time being spoilt!”

“Karla was brilliant with our Bernese Mountain Dog, Rowdy. She kept us updated on how Rowdy was settling in, cared for her every need and was lovely to deal with. It’s clear that Karla and her partner love dogs and I would happily recommend them to anyone looking for a dog sitter. 10/10”

About: I love dogs and grew up with them. I have 2 of my own a Cocker Spaniel (5) and a mini dachshund (11 months). I also have a cat and 2 horses (the horses live at a livery yard)). I have taken care of friends dogs (and other animals) for many years. When I look after other peoples dogs they are treated like part of the family. I have had my dogs since puppies so am used to puppy antics! I am at home all day and have the time to take them for 2 walks per day, play with them and cater for their every need. We have lovely walks on our doorstep so no need to get in a car. We have a lovely secure garden and plenty of space in the home. My dogs and visiting dogs are allowed on the sofas and mine sleep in bed with me but happy to cater for different requirements depending on what your dog is used to. Hi. I work from home and have 2 dogs of my own. We walk for about an hour in the morning around 7.30/8 and again in the afternoon time depends on time of year and weather. My dogs get fed 3 times per day but can cater for other requirements. I can have another dog boarding (only one or 2 from the same household) and can offer walks/drop ins. I have 2 friendly dogs - a working cocker and a miniature dachshund. And a cat. Your dog would be part of the family! I can offer walks with my dogs or individual walks.

“I couldn’t have asked for a better dog sitter than Nicola. Despite it being a last minute booking, she and her family took such kind and attentive care of my dog, especially because he was already unwell from the first day, he arrived with gastrointestinal issues and she went above and beyond to keep him clean, comfortable, and well looked after, even cooking rice to help him feel better and making sure he felt right at home. I also really appreciated the level of communication. Nicola kept me updated all the time, which gave me great peace of mind and reassured me that my dog was in safe, caring hands. She was also very mindful of his arthritis, making sure to walk him with extra care. What truly stood out was the level of love and attention she gave him. My dog is part of our family, and it meant so much to see him treated as if he were part of hers. He was genuinely happy staying with them and clearly felt safe and cared for. He also had a wonderful time with their lovely dog, Gino, who is kind and playful. The spacious garden gave them plenty of room to enjoy themselves, and my dog really made the most of it. I’m incredibly grateful for the level of care Nicola provided and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend her to anyone looking for a genuine dog lover who will make their pet feel comfortable and part of the family.”

About: Growing up, I always wanted to work with animals. I love dogs more than anything & after years of dreaming, I’m finally making the leap to dog walking, grooming & sitting. Described as ‘obsessed with her dogs’ - you’ll always find me talking about them, posting pictures or spending my time going on adventures. I really do give everything to my boys & would love to help other people out, because I know how much it means to have someone you trust look after your dogs. I offer flexible daily walks, day sitting, overnight boarding, and soon to be grooming services. My clients trust me because I’m reliable, genuinely love dogs, and I keep you updated with photos and updates so you know your pup is happy and safe. I’m currently working from home, so am flexible on days and times for dog care, including weekends. Our Redsetter Murphy gets walked around 6am, 10am, 1pm, 5pm, 7pm and weekends are usually involving finding somewhere fun for him to explore. I have a fenced garden, crate if needed & a very friendly, playful Redsetter called Murphy. Whilst he is allowed upstairs, he mainly stays in the living room/kitchen - which is his own space.

“My Greyhound Bubbles stayed with Charlotte for 5 nights and had a great time. I feel so confident leaving her with Charlotte and know she will be safe and looked after and get lots of cuddles. I received lots of photos as well so I knew she was happy! Thanks so much Charlotte”

About: We’re a long-term couple who have been together for 36 years and share a genuine love of dogs. Because we both work in aviation, having our own dog full-time has always been difficult, so 11 years ago we joined BorrowMyDoggy and met Geoff, a lovely lurcher who became a huge part of our lives. We regularly collected Geoff for walks, overnight stays and longer visits, and cared for him consistently for 11 years until he sadly passed away recently. During that time we also looked after several other dogs, but Geoff was our regular companion and taught us so much about caring for dogs of different ages and needs. We love being outdoors and spend a lot of time walking on the South Downs, Ditchling Common and the many beautiful paths around Burgess Hill, which are right on our doorstep. Geoff even joined us on part of the West Highland Way in Scotland! We’re reliable, caring and flexible. Because Rod works part-time for British Airways and Simon works for the CAA, we’re often available for weekday as well as weekend care. We understand how important it is to trust the people looking after your dog and we will always treat them as if they were our own. work part-time for British Airways and will soon be moving to a 50% schedule, which means I often have extended periods at home, particularly during my three-week off blocks. This allows plenty of time for walks, companionship and attentive care. My partner Simon works for the Civil Aviation Authority and is usually home at weekends, so there are often two of us around to help look after visiting dogs. Because of our work patterns I’m generally very flexible and can often help during weekdays as well as weekends. I also understand that plans can sometimes change, so I try to be as accommodating as possible if owners need to adjust or cancel arrangements at short notice. Dogs staying with us will have plenty of attention, regular walks and a calm, caring environment. Dogs staying with us will be cared for in our home, where they can relax in a calm and welcoming environment. We generally prefer to care for dogs here rather than in the owner’s home, but we’re very happy to collect and return dogs if needed. Dogs do not have to stay overnight with us. In many cases we are simply able to collect them from home and take them out for a good walk before bringing them back again, which works well for owners who are busy during the day. We live in a quiet area of Burgess Hill with a secure garden, and dogs are free to relax anywhere in the house so they feel comfortable and part of the home. For walks, we’re very lucky to have fantastic countryside right on our doorstep, including the South Downs and Ditchling Common. Dogs are walked on or off lead depending on the owner’s preference and the dog’s recall ability, and we always prioritise safety. We also have an SUV with a secure dog guard behind the rear seats so dogs can travel safely in the back when we collect them or take them out for walks. For the past 11 years we regularly cared for a wonderful lurcher called Geoff, as well as a few other dogs, which gave us a great deal of hands-on experience looking after dogs in a home environment. Our aim is always to make sure every dog feels safe, relaxed and well cared for while they are with us.
