“Everything completed as asked and Catherine went to extra trouble on a few things which I appreciated. She really cares. My cats were fed and safe on a long stressful day for me, so I could relax knowing they were in good hands. Thank you Catherine!”

“Alex is amazing with both our cats. It’s been great having her when we are away or out knowing that they are so well looked after. We originally asked Alex to look after our older cat but when we got another kitten we were so lucky that Alex is able to handle the challenges of an adult cat adjusting to living with a kitten and a lively new kitten getting using to the family dynamic. We can’t thank Alex enough, thanks so much!”

“Sophie was fantastic at looking after Mollie. Mollie can be quite shy but was super happy having cuddles and pets with Sophie. She did a great job keeping me updated throughout and I would 100% recommend Sophie for all your cat sitting needs! Thank you Sophie! ❤️”

“Ellie is brilliant with Dewey, we get lots of updates and pictures while we’re away and we get a lot of comfort in the fact that Ellie is there with him and he’s getting lots of play time and cuddles too! Thank you Ellie x”

About: I grew up with dogs all my life, as did my partner Dan. We dream of having our own dogs when we get our first house together. Our current flat is not doggy appropriate. I grew up in a house with two dogs, cats, cockatiels, rabbits and everything in between. Dan also has had dogs (boxers in particular) all his life too. We're also a dab hand at watering plants, taking in deliveries and caring for your house while you're away! I'm a teacher, so if you're booking when I'm on holiday there are no problems. Daniel works locally in Haywards Heath, so it is sometimes possible for him to come home at lunches for potty breaks. We are best with weekends, half terms and breaks! We are adaptable to your lives and how the dogs live. We want them to be comfortable so would learn your routines, favourite walk route and tips for entertainment and try and mimic as best as possible. We just sadly cannot look after pets in our own flat at the moment!
About: Hi! I’m Brie and I can’t wait to meet your adorable fur baby!🐾 I live with my husband Tom, our little goofy Frenchie, Nala and our sweet and nutty cat, Belle. I have a Level 3 Certificate in Animal Management and have worked for places such as RSPCA and Cats Protection so you can be sure that not only will your pet be treated with love and care, but will be in very safe and knowledgable hands! I have grown up my whole life with dogs and cats, including our gorgeous family dog who sadly passed away last year. She was a rescue with some food and fear aggression towards dogs so I am also very comfortable with these situations too! I have also grown up with cats, from kitten age to seniors, including cats with special requirements such as medication needs! I trained Nala from a puppy so am very comfortable with looking after puppies of any age and can offer lots of cuddles and attention with some training games mixed in! I currently have a full time office job but animals are my true passion! I am available week days from 6pm and weekends at any time! Your pet will have my undivided attention while in your home or out and about on our fun walks! I will walk your dog close to your area so you can be sure they will be comfortable and feel safe in their surroundings!
About: Hi! I am Tristan an experienced and caring pet sitter based in Burgess Hill. I am the sole carer for all the animals without any additional assistance so they get my focus. I treat every pet like family. I have experience with dogs of all sizes and temperaments, and I am comfortable administering medications if needed. With a secure home, a flexible schedule, and a genuine love for animals, I aim to give your pets the same care and attention they’d get with you. Let’s set up a meet & greet—I’d love to get to know your furry friend! I work from home full time. I have my own Cockerpoo (neutered female) who is great with other dogs. I love to take my dog on walks in the area and take regular daily walks. Garden is fully secured and fenced and I am based at home so your dog will always be well cared for and not left on own for extended periods.
“Thank you Laura for taking care of our cat, Ziggy whilst we were away. We came home to a relaxed and contented Ziggy and it was great to receive daily photo updates. We would highly recommend Laura for anyone seeking trustworthy and reliable pet care. Thank you for giving us peace of mind whilst we were away.”

“We have booked Olivia many times over the last year, and I couldn’t recommended her highly enough. Last year she took great care for our 12 year old cocker spaniel Mustard, he always loved her visits! More recently Olivia stepped in last minute to puppy sit for our new pup 🐾 we knew he would be in the safest of hands. Thank you so much ☺️”

About: I am a doting cat mum to my senior boy Azzy, plus a puppy pawrent to our family black lab Wilf. We've always had animals in our life - from little ones to seniors, I can support your pets with experience, love and kindness. I work from home so I currently can be flexible with walks and sitting. I also drive and don't have any family commitments so I'm pretty much ready as and when you need me. I have a fenced garden, puppy fence, astro and a gated grass area. I am happy to work around what you feel comfortable with when it comes to caring for your pets.
“Jennifer arrived promptly and dealt gently with my timid JR terrier, sending me feedback during the sitting. My day out all the more enjoyable knowing Tiggy well looked after.”

About: I have a genuine passion for looking after animals. As well as sights like Borrow My Doggy, I am also a member of Trusted Housesitters and have looked after a range of young, old, small and large dogs and have built up a great relationship with all owners I work with. I would love to be considered to look after your pet. I’m currently working partly remote, meaning I have more spare time to attend to the pets I look after, including more regular walks and cuddles of course! Despite living in a flat, it is extremely spacious with access to a courtyard and parks close by. I would be happy to show you around ahead of a service.
About: What you can expect: • A safe, calm, and loving environment • I work from home, so your dog will have plenty of company and won’t be left alone for long periods • Regular walks, playtime, and lots of attention throughout the day • Care tailored to your dog’s routine and needs • Updates and photos so you always feel reassured • A reliable and responsible sitter you can trust I’m free on the weekends and working from home twice a week. I love spending time outside so happy to do multiple walkies a day. I currently live in a one bedroom flat so I could only take dogs that wouldn’t mind staying inside the flat. Would go for as many walks/ pee breaks as needed even during the night.
About: I have grown up with dogs all my life as has my partner. I've mainly been around boxers (I can't remember a time that my parents haven't had a boxer). Gray has had a whole range of pets but always had a dog at home. Our current flat isn't dog friendly but we would love to have a pet when we move into a property more appropriate. We are also great at watering plants, taking in deliveries and caring for your house while you're away! We can work around your routines and mix walk, play and rest as required. We are also very understanding to each dogs individual needs. I currently work full time locally in Haywards Heath so I can pop round in the day time on my lunch break to let the dogs out whilst Gray is a teacher and can be more available during school holidays and weekends. We adapt ourselves to fit in with your routines and what works best for the dog. Our main priority is that while you are away your dog feels as comfortable as possible whilst in our care.

Gina was brilliant looking after our cat for a week while we were away. She was caring, attentive, and made sure he was happy and well looked after. She also treated our home with great respect. It was the first time we had booked a cat sitter so it was such a relief knowing our cat was in such good hands, and we wouldn't hesitate to book Gina again. Highly recommended!

Emily made me feel very at ease and comfortable leaving my cat for a couple of nights. She sent photos for every visit and you could see how happy Giles was being looked after by her! Would absolutely recommend Emily and will definitely use her cat sitting services again if we need to!

Sophie was fantastic at looking after Mollie. Mollie can be quite shy but was super happy having cuddles and pets with Sophie. She did a great job keeping me updated throughout and I would 100% recommend Sophie for all your cat sitting needs! Thank you Sophie! ❤️

Billie was amazing and I’m so pleased I picked them to look after my cat while I was on holiday. My cat is quite anxious so I was worried about leaving him, but Billie was so attentive and kind, sending me videos and photos where you could see my cat getting more comfortable and relaxed with Billie as time went on - definitely recommend!

Robyn came to visit my 2 cats while I was away. Her updates were reassuring to see how my cats were doing. She even made friends with my shy cat who is scared of everyone. I'd highly recommend and will definitely use her services anytime I go away. Thank you!
Ellie was absolutely fantastic in looking after fury, so attentive in ensuring everything is looked after for him. She clearly has such a caring nature for animals and made us feel very safe leaving our cat in her care. Thank you so much Ellie, we’ll definitely be using your services again in the future!

Alex is amazing with both our cats. We can’t thank Alex enough, thanks so much!

Iona was a breeze to have look after our boy while we were away. She was kind enough to come and visit a few weeks prior just so i could show her where things where and to get to meet our Caesar. The whole time we were away she kept us updated with daily messages and photos. This was my first time leaving my boy, and she was very respectful of my instructions that i left for him (even if i went a bit overboard). Lovely young lady overall! Highly recommend!

If you live in a flat, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or lift etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover must pass an identity verification before they can list their services. An identity verification confirms that the sitter is who they say they are based on their documents.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes dedicated customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement programme for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
