“Amy was fantastic with Beanz! She communicated clearly throughout, and made the whole process stress-free. She spent time playing with Beanz, and it was obvious he was happy and well cared for. She also kept his food and water bowls clean, and I came back to a tidy kitchen. I’ll definitely be booking her again in the future, highly recommended!”

“Thank you for checking in on the boys Katie and Amanda! They did a great job by keeping us updated during the day, and Cato, Nero and Louis enjoyed spending time with them!”

“Clarissa did a wonderful job looking after our cat Molly with drop in vists. Put our mind at ease knowing she was getting some good quality time and always nice to get pics and updates on how she was doing. Excellent communication and we came back to a very happy cat, would definitely recommend.”

“Marcus was the perfect cat sitter - made a preliminary visit to confirm their needs and always provided clear communication about his visits. I felt 100% reassured that they would be safe in his hands and will be re- booking him if I need a cat sitter again in the future.”

“Georgie was absolutely fantastic. Seeker is very timid and takes a long time to trust new people, while Rowan is reactive and can be quite particular, but they both relaxed with Georgie almost immediately. Seeker was soon curled up beside her, and Rowan proudly brought out all of her favourite toys to show her, which says everything. Georgie was incredibly reliable, kept us updated with lovely messages and photos throughout, and gave us complete peace of mind while we were away. We wouldn’t hesitate to book her again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a kind, trustworthy pet sitter.”

“Samantha was great with Elsa (Cat). We really felt at ease knowing that she was well looked after. Elsa takes time before feeling comfortable with people shendoesnt know however, with Samantha that wasn’t an issue. Communication was provided daily and Samantha attended when she said she would. Would highly recommend Samantha as a pet sitter and if available would use her again :) Thanks Samantha.”

“Caitlin did an amazing job caring for our two cats while we were away. She was reliable, attentive, and kept us updated with photos and messages. We came home to happy, relaxed cats and a spotless house. We couldn’t be more pleased and highly recommend her! Thank you for all your help Caitlin 🥰✨”

About: Ive been dog sitting for 10+ years and I have made lots of doggy friendships during that time through walking and boarding! I've been surrounded by dogs for as long as I can remember and I've also supported my grandma in rescuing and rebuilding confidence in several ex race greyhounds. I live in a house with my partner, daughter and our two lovely dogs. My partner also adores dogs and has had lots of experence with rescuing dogs over the years. We have a 4 year old sproodle and 1 year old golden retriever. They are both incredibly friendly and welcoming. They have both been surrounded by dogs and love the extra company ❤ When your pup visits they will have access to: -snuffle activities -lick mats - other enrichment activites such as treat dispensers - a box full of toys! - a huge amount of tennis balls -accommodating walks to suit your pup (short, long, on lead, off lead etc) - a trip to a secure private feild that I can hire - lots and lots of love from humans and our own pups ❤ I am a primary school teacher so therefore have weekends free and the bonus of school holidays! I'd love nothing more than to spend this free time in the company of dogs 😍
“Enya looked after my puppy for a couple of hours and the puppy had a lovely time playing, snoozing, playing and snoozing! I felt very assured Lumi was in a safe pair of hands. Will definitely be booking Enya again, thank you so much!”

About: My brother has a beautiful chow that I watch regularly. I’m very active and would love to have a companion (whether just a walk or a sleepover). I appreciate that each dog will have their own unique personalities and needs, and I’m happy to work around that. I walk each morning and evening, so I’m really interested in walking/boarding dogs. Please get in touch if you need support! My house has a fenced garden, nearby parks (< 2min), and room for them to relax. I don’t own a pet currently but watch dogs regularly x I mainly work from home so looking after pups fits in well with my weekly routine. With enough notice I can work from home which allows me to care for dogs during the working week. I’m vigilant, caring and enjoy spending time with dogs. I am happy to meet up before the booking, particularly if a dog is staying with me, so they can familiarise themselves with the space.
About: I have had my own own dog, a lovely mixed-breed rescue called Teddy and have looked after dogs professionally for ten plus years. I am used to many breeds including rescues and large breeds. I will treat your dog as my own! X I currently work from home in tech/software. I tend to be in for most of the day only leaving for 3 hours maximum. I enjoy being out at the park, on the beach or walking up the Seven Sisters National Park, all of which is behind my house. I live very close to the beach. My home is on the ground floor, comfortable and I have a huge dog bed and plenty of toys.
About: An animal lover that has had all sorts of pets in my family from a young age, an experienced cat sitter, dog walker and newly qualified trainer, I have experience with rescue dogs, reactive dogs, puppies, senior hounds and everything in between! I run my own business so am flexible with time and travel, I enjoy meeting new pet friends so can give them the time and attention they need rather than just the bare minimum. Happy to drop in on cats and dogs to give food and water tops ups, toilet breaks, walks, runs, and most importantly fuss and attention!

About: I’ve had lots of animals throughout my life including dogs, cats, chickens, horses and more. I currently have 2 cats (17 and 15) and a dog (6). I look after my friends dogs regularly as well. I just love being around animals. I’m a paramedic student so would be happy to be getting on with course work whilst looking after a cuddly pal! :) I’m currently at university studying paramedic science. Pet care would fit in really well around my studies! I’m also a part time carer for my elderly Nan along side other family members who take care of her so I’m super flexible on times I have a dog and 2 cats of my own so would only be looking to look after animals at the owners house due to my pets being very old and nervous
“Fiona is lovely. She looked after our 3 cats visiting twice a day for a couple of days taking the time to listen to their needs and our preferences. They were clean, played with and well fed. I would definitely recommend and will be making a future request.”

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
