“After a successful couple of meet & greets, Beth’s first one hour visit seemed to go well. Sookie is a nervous rescue and can take time to warm up to new people. Although she wasn’t brave enough to approach Beth that day, she was comfortable and relaxed enough to have a snooze while she was there. Which shows that she isn’t overly worried about Beth, who didn’t try to push things too fast and went at Sookie’s pace, allowing her to feel that relaxed she could close her eyes. Very happy with Beth and her knowledge of handling nervous dogs.”

About: Growing up in the welsh countryside I have always been around animals. We had cats and jack russell terriers when I was young, and later on I helped out on a farm with horses and working collies. This love for animals carried on as I got older and I started walking neighbours dogs (bull mastiffs) for free and cat sitting for friends when they went away. Post Uni I started helping out locally with dog walking through borrow my doggy. I ended up house sitting for one of my customer’s houses a few times to look after their dog while they were on holiday (the lovely Vizsla in my photos). More recently I volunteered for German Shepherd Rescue Elite in Nottingham as shepherds and Malis are my personal favourite, so now have a fair range of experience with larger breeds and some reactivity issues. I really loved both the rescue and my regular borrow my doggy connections and would have carried on however, I have moved to Brighton and the commute would’ve been a bit tough! I have two cats now and I am calm and responsible and will always treat your animals as if they are my own and will send regular updates so you know how things are going! Really looking forward to making some new animal friends, please don’t hesitate to reach out if you have any questions, always happy to chat to make sure you are confident with who you are entrusting to look after your family member! I’m in the office generally Tuesdays and Wednesdays and work from home the rest of the week so am available for walking/drop ins after work (4:30pm onwards) on most weekdays. I can do some morning visits on days I’m not in the office and any time on most weekends - just ask and I’ll let you know if I can fit it in! We have no garden and two cats at home so having other pets in our flat would not be an option however, I am more than happy to look after your pets in your own home during the working day if I am able to borrow your wifi to work from home at the same time!

About: I grew up with 12 dogs at home and countless weekends spent at dog agility shows. This grew into a lifelong love of dogs of all sizes and personalities. I've spent the past 10 years dog sitting and walking, through word-of-mouth recommendation, until someone suggested I join Rover! I am an easy going and naturally active person, so I love to take dogs on long walks, or take them socializing in cafes (if they like to!), and do basic trick training. I've experience with dogs of all sizes, from collies to GSD's and retired greyhounds to Chihuahuas. I'm a freelancer and part-time yoga teacher, so I have lots of time to spend with four legged friends, so you can be sure they get most of my attention! I plan my work around my pups, not the other way around. At mine: I have a dog friendly apartment on ground floor, no garden but quick access to St Annes garden OR Palmeria Square. I have room to set up a crate if that is your preference. I have enrichment toys and a dog bed here too. At yours: I will follow your preferred instructions! Walking: I always stay present with the dog, I don't walk with headphones in and I am mindful of distractions or the dog's personality. I am happy to follow your preference on walk type, length, and location (within radius!) Cafe socializing: if you would like your dog to spend time in cafes and socialise, I love this too! not all dogs enjoy this, some love it, so this is down to preference. Again, the dogs comfort and tolerance is my number one priority!

About: I am an experienced dog owner, having cared for my lovely staffy boy for 12 years. He is currently convalescing with my dad in rural North Wales, and I now have room in my life to care for other pets. I have grown up with both cats and dogs and know that all have their own needs and temperaments, so will happily get to know your pets individual needs and quirks. I am happy to care to senior pets. I work from home most days and have a flexible schedule to get around your needs. I can take breaks regular breaks to toilet or walk dogs during the day. On weekends and evenings I will have plenty of time to take dogs on longer walks, either on hove lawns or at the beach. I don't have any of my own pets in the flat. I live on the second floor, but I am happy to carry small pets upstairs if they can't manage them independently. I have a large secure balcony for cats why would enjoy some outside time. We've been looking after doggos since living in NZ through fostering which included us then adopting our 9 year old Cavapoo called Arlo. We all made the move back (including Arlo) to the UK in 2023, to be closer to family. We had to say goodbye to our pup Arlo to doggy heaven at the end of 2024 and looking to pour our love into looking after your companion. Our home is close to the South Downs, perfect for long dog walks in the countryside. About: I've been surrounded by dogs my whole life, from my childhood cocker spaniel who I helped out with in his younger energetic years and into his older, unfortunately more sickly years, to the current family sprocker who, while adorable and loyal, is particularly timid due to experiences prior to our adoption of him. Over the years I have dog sat for friends and family, caring for dogs similar to those that I've grown up with, but also those with extra needs in the form of anxiety and varied routines. While I hope to adopt a dog in the future, sadly at the moment I am not in a position to have a full-time pet, but would love the chance to be around, and care for animals in the meantime! So far through Rover I've had the opportunity to look after a variety of dogs (and some lovely cats) with different needs and requirements who you'll see scattered throughout the pictures on my profile and have loved spending time with all of them and getting the chance to explore more of the walkable local area in the process. I also volunteer with a local lost pet charity as a media and email admin, helping in efforts to reunite missing and lost pets with their families, and occasionally assisting with their stall at local events, such as the RSPCA dog show earlier this year. I currently work full-time in marketing from home, leaving plenty of extra time in my schedule to play with, monitor and exercise pets. While I do have a monthly visit to the office, the rest of my schedule is manoeuvrable and easy to work around. While I am unable to have a pet full-time in my current home, I've had pets my entire life, having had energetic spaniels who needed plenty of walks and playtime, to looking after more relaxed, affection-centred Italian greyhounds. While I do work weekdays, my job allows for pets to be besides me (or, as tends to happen, asleep on my knee) throughout the day allowing an easy balance of work and attention, with plenty of spots for exercise within walking distance, including a park with lots of trees to keep the temperature down on hotter days a few minutes away.
About: I’ve had several dogs in my family across the years, including a golden retriever (m) and a jack Russell (f), as well as two cats a tabby (m), and a black cat (f). We still have our lovely black cat luna, and I recently got my mum our Freddie, who is a dachshund mixed with a cocker spaniel. I’ve got lots of experience looking after family friend dogs. Catherine has a good vibe and Sindri was comfortable with her from the first day. She sends pics updates however it is not "staged" she does not spend most of the session taking footage for socia lmedia purposes. She was very much hands on with my reserved cat and he loved being brush-massaged by her, which is is top favourite thing. The instructions left were followed, Catherine stayed a good amount of time; I'm a professional pet sitter and dog trainer myself, and I believe Catherine enjoys being with the pets as much as I do, so Its not all about cash. She also came alone, which reassures me as other previous pet sitters thought it was fine to come with an un-vetted spouse or friend, which also spooked my cat. Really comfortable with Catherine looking after my Sindri.
Genna is a very professional and meticulous cat sitter who took great care of our three boys while we were away. She actively takes the time to learn more about your cats and understand their needs, which was really handy as our eldest has just started medication and had a few extra requirements to remember. We felt this and all the other details we left Genna with were perfectly understood and taken on board, so we were able to leave with complete peace of mind. Her daily updates were great and we came home to a clean house and three happy cats.
Ariana was absolutely amazing with Toby and we honestly couldn’t have asked for anyone better to look after him. From the moment she first visited, we felt completely at ease knowing he was in such good hands. She kept us updated with loads of lovely photos and messages, spent proper time with him, played with him, brushed him, refreshed his food and water and made sure everything was sorted each visit. Toby can be a little fussy and very particular, but he clearly adored Ariana and looked so happy and relaxed with her. We came home to a very happy cat and an immaculate flat. Ariana went above and beyond and made being away from Toby so much easier for us. We’d book her again in a heartbeat and couldn’t recommend her highly enough.
Lorna looked after our 2 cats while were on holiday and I could not recommend her more! Communication was great, all instructions were followed and she was very caring with our animals. Our very shy cat seemed to particularly take a shine to her which is unheard of. Hopefully we will have the opportunity to work with Lorna again in the future.
Ronnie and Jennifer are real cat lovers, and we had no hesitation to give them the responsibility to visit daily and take care of our cats whilst we were on vacation. Charlotte was so sweet with our cat, spent a lot of time observing and playing with her, and was very courteous in our home. She also gave her medication efficiently. Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
