“Natasha was excellent and sent us regular updates and videos. Our two cats were rather elusive but she tried really hard to entice them in. We have her booked again soon and I am much more confident going away and leaving the cats knowing that she is coming again.”

“We were so pleased with Inesa, who checked in on our sausage dog. She arrived at the time we had discussed and kept us updated. We will be using her again and wouldn't hesitate to recommend to friends and family!”

About: I've grown up around all sorts of animals, from furry, to exotic. Friends and family have relied on me for pet sitting for years, and as I enjoy it so much, I thought I'd finally offer my services to others too. I'm a West Sussex-based self-employed artist, so I have a pretty flexible schedule. I'm available at the beginning of the week and some Saturdays. I'm quite flexible if you need a last-minute booking or an extra visit. I drive a large car so transport isn't a problem for myself or an animal. I currently have a 1-year-old kitten myself called Juniper, who I absolutely adore! Alongside a creative degree, I studied Level 3 Animal Care & Behaviour and have always been interested in Zoology & Marine Biology. I also spent some time in Spring volunteering at a local animal rescue where they had all sorts of farm animals. I'm a self-employed artist who works 3 days a week, sometimes less. This means I typically have lots of spare time to commit to something alot more casual and figured this was a really good option! I am more than happy with spontaneous bookings. I will not be caring for pets in my own home until I know my kitten would be okay with this & until this becomes a more regular job.
About: I am at home full time, own 3 dogs, 2 of which are rescue. I occasionally foster dogs in preparation for a home of their own. I have lots of experience of dogs of all shapes and sizes and behaviour. I suppose my niche is reactive dogs. Giving them lots of love and understanding so they have more confidence to deal with life. I work part time from home & plan my day around the dogs. Often walking several times a day depending on the individual dogs needs. I have a secure garden and have reconfigured my house for dogs. Dogs are free to roam although I have areas that can be separated.

About: I’ve taken care of dogs for the past three years now. I do miss having furry friends a lot, and it would be quite nice to exercise while walking them. I’m currently working a part time job, so I have a lot of free time. I also love taking walks to the beach and parks around me. I provide a safe, calm, and loving environment where pets get plenty of attention, exercise, playtime, and cuddles. I always will follow the owner’s routine, including feeding, walks, medication, and any special care instructions, to help pets feel happy and comfortable while you’re away.
“Lauren was fantastic with our teenage GSP. Super relaxed and patient with her, which is exactly what Penny needs in this stage. We'll definitely be booking again. Thanks so much Lauren ☺️”

About: I am a 29 year old artist, living in Hove with my boyfriend. We both love animals and believe our dogs are another family member. I have experience working with animals, having worked in the kennels at Dogs Trust in the past, and am volunteering there on a weekly basis now. I have completed the Introduction to Dog Behaviour course at Plumpton College, and hold a canine first aid qualification. Apart from taking care of my family dogs, I have been looking after dogs within my own home for 3 years now. One being a small terrier named Peggy. We have her overnight (2 days) each week. Peggy is very sweet, and sometimes can be reactive towards other dogs. We have been working with her on training for this. Additionally, we look after a friends puppy, who is learning to go to the toilet on the balcony, and settle down for nap times. I am currently available Monday-Friday for dog walking and drop ins. Please contact me for Saturday and Sunday availability as this changes week on week. For day care, please contact me as this will also change regularly! I am living in a flat block, with a small balcony. I will let the dog out on the Balcony regularly and whenever they wish (this will always be supervised). I can also take the dogs out for frequent toilet breaks, by taking them on lead downstairs and down the street. My flat is right next to the beach, meaning play time on the beach or the areas surrounding is always available to us. My boyfriend, David, works from home, so is also around to keep an eye! He is in my photos, he has fluffy brown hair. On house visits, I am able to keep you conpletely updated on goings on. I will always be respectful of your home, and leave it as I found it. I can let your pet out, come take them for walks, feed them, play with them, and more. I have a clean UK Drivers License and a car, so am able to drive to you or transport your furry friend if needed. Whether on walks, a house visit, or boarding, I am always able to give frequent 'pupdates' and send photos of them having a lovely time.
About: I had a dog for 15 years and adored having walks, especially in our favourite park and family holidays! I'm a creative individual and have a special connection with hiking around nature. I am currently looking for part time work and dog walking would also be a bonus! I lost my dog after having him for 15 years and want to continue to care for others' dogs. I live at home with my parents, having our own fenced off garden. We have all had the experience of dog care for 15 years.
About: I’ve had pets all my life from my cat who I had for 18 years to my dog that I’ve had for nearly 8 years I have worked with my dog to help me become a dog massager for my university course that I did I have full training in EMMI-pet teeth cleaning and am a qualified dog groomer I work for an agency so do find out when I am needed for work at the beginning of a week that is why it would be great to be given notice of pet sitting so that I can give you and your pets my time I will keep everything out of reach of your dog and would send you regular pictures of your pets while you away to give you peace of mind that they are looked after

About: I grew up in South Africa surrounded by dogs, cats, and horses — animals have been a constant in my life for as long as I can remember, and that instinct to care for them has never left me. Now based on the West Sussex coast, I offer drop-in visits for pets who just need someone reliable, calm, and genuinely attentive while their owner is away or at work. I'm not just ticking a box — I take the time to make sure your pet is comfortable, settled, and properly looked after. I'm highly organised and communicative, so you'll always get an update after each visit. No guessing, no anxiety on your end — just peace of mind that someone who actually loves animals is showing up for yours. If you want someone who'll treat your pet like their own for those in-between moments, I'm here. Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine. I'm currently flexible with my time, which means I can reliably commit to drop-in visits at consistent times that work for you and your pet. Routine matters to animals, and I take that seriously. I always prefer to meet a pet and their owner before any booking is confirmed — it matters to me that your pet is comfortable with me, and that I understand their environment, their quirks, and exactly what they need. For cats especially, I'm mindful of keeping doors secure, respecting their space, and leaving everything exactly as I found it. You'll get an update after every visit without having to ask.

About: I have loved animals for as long as I can remember. I spent my teen years pet sitting for family and friends, and for a long time, I was a regular on BorrowMyDoggy while I waited to finally have a dog of my own. That dream came true, and I now share a dog with my partner and his Mum. We also have a cat in the house, so I’m very used to managing a multi-pet household. I’m currently at home quite a bit, which means I can offer plenty of company, consistent routines, and long walks. I’ve spent 15 years working in schools and have just finished my degree, so you can trust that I’m reliable, organised, and will treat your pets like my own family. I'm currently working part time so I have lots of free time to offer pet sitting services. I'm looking to either pet sit in someone's home or offer dog walks. I make sure to be extra vigilant when looking after someone's pet in their home and to follow any instructions which may have been left.
About: I love animals, grew up with a dog and have had cats. Many of my friends count on me to look after their cats and dogs in their houses when they’re away. I’m currently a freelancer working online so my schedule is very flexible and can change it to suit as well as work from anywhere. I’m available weekdays and weekends including evenings. I am very respectful in others homes and will take instructions of how to look look after your pet perfectly. Your pets safety is my top priority.
“Emily was a fabulous! She took great care of our cat, including giving her medication, and spent time every day making a fuss of her and playing with her. She kept us up to date every day with photos and videos, which was really nice. We'd 100% recommend Emily and will book her for any future trips away. ”

“Mirriam did a brilliant job at helping with my 3 dogs who are a little unsettled after moving from the Alps. As they need training refreshers, she sat with 2 whilst I walked each of them individually. A huge help - thank you!”

About: Hi I’m Lorna, I work in the charity and well-being space and recently moved to Shoreham a few months ago. Over the past 8 years I have developed a huge love for dogs and the dream is to have one of my own one day. For now, I’m looking to meet and care for as many dogs as possible and help out where I can, giving them company, walks, love and attention to help make them feel as happy as possible. I love walking, exploring nature and being outdoors so could spend hours outside strolling with your pooch. Being a yoga teacher I have a calming nature and just love being around dogs, I think everyone should have one in their life, they are so good for wellbeing. I have done numerous accounts of dog sitting over the past few years for a friends 2 staffs and more recently many dog walks and sitting for a family members Mastiff. I also regularly walk a lovely Bichon Frise, so have experience caring for dogs both big and small. I would look after your dog like my own, so please drop me a line if you'd like me to help :) I'm currently self employed, growing my own wellness business whilst working part time at my local charity shop so I have a couple of afternoons free every week to spend time with your pooch. Communication is key when looking after your dog in your home. I want to ensure they feel happy and relaxed as if you were there, so I'll make sure we have a chat beforehand so I understand and can meet the needs of your dog. After all, each dog is unique :)

About: Hi, I'm Shin-Yu! I'm a Hove-based pet sitter, dog walker, and proud rescue dog owner. I currently volunteer with Raystede and have spent most of my life around dogs, from growing up with family pets to caring for my own rescue dog, Teddy. Alongside caring for my own pets, I've volunteered as a dog walker and looked after dogs and cats for friends and family over the years. I love getting to know each animal's unique personality and always aim to provide calm, reliable care that helps them feel comfortable and secure. I understand how important it is to find someone you trust with both your pet and your home, and I treat every animal in my care as if they were my own. I'd love to meet you and your furry family! 🐾 I currently work in two part-time roles, so my availability can vary a little from week to week. I’m generally free on Sundays, and my Friday and Saturday availability depends on my rota, which I usually receive in advance. My other role is Monday to Thursday, 8am–4pm. I really enjoy spending time with dogs/ animals and love being able to fit pet care around my work schedule. I’m happy to look after your pets for one-off bookings or build a regular arrangement that works well for both of us. As I get my rota in advance, I can usually plan ahead and do my best to accommodate your dates and needs wherever possible. Your pet's wellbeing is always my priority! I'm happy to follow any routines, medication schedules, or special care instructions, and I always take the time to understand each pet's individual needs. I'll also keep you updated with plenty of photos and messages, so you can relax knowing your pet is happy and well looked after.

Mary was brilliant! My kittens were very comfortable around her from the start, we received lots of photo updates and feedback on how they were doing every day. Mary would take the time and effort to properly play with them both and give them lots of affection. Thanks Mary!

I highly recommend Roz as a cat sitter. She looked after my cats wonderfully and was so caring and attentive with them. They warmed to her straight away, which gave me real peace of mind while I was away. Roz kept me updated with regular messages and lovely photos, which were incredibly reassuring and made it much easier to relax knowing they were happy and well cared for. I wouldn't hesitate to book her again and would happily recommend her to anyone looking for a kind, reliable, and trustworthy cat sitter.

Victoria was a wonderful cat sitter! We were very anxious leaving our cats for the first time but she provided lots of photos and detailed updates, and our (usually very nervous) cats seemed to take to her quickly and didn’t have any issues. Would highly recommend!

Natasha was excellent and sent us regular updates and videos. Our two cats were rather elusive but she tried really hard to entice them in. We have her booked again soon and I am much more confident going away and leaving the cats knowing that she is coming again.

We've used Jodie twice now, and I feel like my cats are in really good hands every time she looks after them 😊 I love getting the updates and pictures, and I can definitely see she takes very good care of the cats! I would definitely recommend her as a safe and reliable cat sitter 😊

Chloe was absolutely wonderful taking care of our cat, Moses. She is very attentive and you can truly tell how much she loves animals. She did a fantastic job making sure Moses received all the medication he needed, and she also spent quality time with him giving him lots of cuddles and affection. It gave us great peace of mind knowing he was in such caring hands. We would definitely recommend her and happily contact her again in the future.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
