“We were so pleased with Inesa, who checked in on our sausage dog. She arrived at the time we had discussed and kept us updated. We will be using her again and wouldn't hesitate to recommend to friends and family!”

About: I've grown up looking after dogs and have two of my own currently, they have always brought me joy and understanding of myself and them Currently fully flexible for all care needs, my diary is always open for new and existing bookings. The care of the animals is my top priority I have a fully fenced garden and can provide around the clock care. Always keeping the dogs happy and making sure they are safe at all times
About: I already dog sit for my family’s dogs and have realised it’s something I genuinely enjoy doing. I regularly look after a rescue dog, a sausage dog, and a Labrador—sometimes all three at the same time—so I’m no stranger to busy households and dogs with different personalities and needs. Caring for multiple dogs has given me confidence in handling a variety of breeds, temperaments, and routines. Whether it’s feeding, walking, playtime, or simply making sure they feel comfortable and cared for, I take the responsibility seriously. I’ve also done babysitting in the past, which has helped me develop professionalism, reliability, and respect when working in other people’s homes. I understand the importance of trust and will always treat your pets and home with care. I’m currently in between jobs, so from now until the end of the summer holidays I have a very flexible schedule and can dedicate plenty of time to caring for your dog. This means I’m available throughout the week for walks, drop-ins, daycare, or overnight stays. I can also help on weekends if needed. I’ll make sure your dog gets plenty of attention, exercise, and companionship while they’re in my care. Your dog’s safety, comfort, and happiness will always be my top priorities. I take the time to learn each dog’s routine, personality, and any specific needs they may have so they feel secure and well cared for. I’m confident handling dogs of different sizes, breeds, and temperaments, and I always follow owners’ instructions closely. Whether in your home or out on walks, I’ll treat your pet with the same care and attention I give my own family’s dogs, while also respecting your home and keeping you updated for peace of mind.

“chloe came round and took care of my 2 cats whilst i was away. i got daily updates and photos and she let me know how they were. she also went above and beyond and did some extra bits around the house, including changing their litter tray, to make my return easier. would definitely recommend chloe and would book again! 5 stars⭐”

“This was our first ever booking and first time leaving puppy alone for a few hours. Not only did Sarah really connect when she came for an initial visit, but she obviously loved our big puppy and wasn’t phased by his size and puppy biting. She sent photos and gave good & thorough feedback on her visit. In summary she put me totally at ease. So much so we have made a regular booking. Thanks Sarah!”

About: I grew up in South Africa surrounded by dogs, cats, and horses — animals have been a constant in my life for as long as I can remember, and that instinct to care for them has never left me. Now based on the West Sussex coast, I offer drop-in visits for pets who just need someone reliable, calm, and genuinely attentive while their owner is away or at work. I'm not just ticking a box — I take the time to make sure your pet is comfortable, settled, and properly looked after. I'm highly organised and communicative, so you'll always get an update after each visit. No guessing, no anxiety on your end — just peace of mind that someone who actually loves animals is showing up for yours. If you want someone who'll treat your pet like their own for those in-between moments, I'm here. Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine. I'm currently flexible with my time, which means I can reliably commit to drop-in visits at consistent times that work for you and your pet. Routine matters to animals, and I take that seriously. I always prefer to meet a pet and their owner before any booking is confirmed — it matters to me that your pet is comfortable with me, and that I understand their environment, their quirks, and exactly what they need. For cats especially, I'm mindful of keeping doors secure, respecting their space, and leaving everything exactly as I found it. You'll get an update after every visit without having to ask.
“Natasha was excellent and sent us regular updates and videos. Our two cats were rather elusive but she tried really hard to entice them in. We have her booked again soon and I am much more confident going away and leaving the cats knowing that she is coming again.”

About: I have loved animals for as long as I can remember. I spent my teen years pet sitting for family and friends, and for a long time, I was a regular on BorrowMyDoggy while I waited to finally have a dog of my own. That dream came true, and I now share a dog with my partner and his Mum. We also have a cat in the house, so I’m very used to managing a multi-pet household. I’m currently at home quite a bit, which means I can offer plenty of company, consistent routines, and long walks. I’ve spent 15 years working in schools and have just finished my degree, so you can trust that I’m reliable, organised, and will treat your pets like my own family. I'm currently working part time so I have lots of free time to offer pet sitting services. I'm looking to either pet sit in someone's home or offer dog walks. I make sure to be extra vigilant when looking after someone's pet in their home and to follow any instructions which may have been left.
“Laure has been amazing. Sending me pictures from our cats at every visit was just so reassuring. And Laura was able to stroke our Floflo who never goes close to anyone except us. Highley recommended.”

“Marrianne took the time to meet with me and my cat before I went away and her daily updates gave great assurance that my cat was well cared for and happy. I will certainly recommend and book Marrianne again. Thank you, Marianne.”

“Mirriam did a brilliant job at helping with my 3 dogs who are a little unsettled after moving from the Alps. As they need training refreshers, she sat with 2 whilst I walked each of them individually. A huge help - thank you!”

“Emily was a fabulous! She took great care of our cat, including giving her medication, and spent time every day making a fuss of her and playing with her. She kept us up to date every day with photos and videos, which was really nice. We'd 100% recommend Emily and will book her for any future trips away. ”

About: Hi I’m Lorna, I work in the charity and well-being space and recently moved to Shoreham a few months ago. Over the past 8 years I have developed a huge love for dogs and the dream is to have one of my own one day. For now, I’m looking to meet and care for as many dogs as possible and help out where I can, giving them company, walks, love and attention to help make them feel as happy as possible. I love walking, exploring nature and being outdoors so could spend hours outside strolling with your pooch. Being a yoga teacher I have a calming nature and just love being around dogs, I think everyone should have one in their life, they are so good for wellbeing. I have done numerous accounts of dog sitting over the past few years for a friends 2 staffs and more recently many dog walks and sitting for a family members Mastiff. I also regularly walk a lovely Bichon Frise, so have experience caring for dogs both big and small. I would look after your dog like my own, so please drop me a line if you'd like me to help :) I'm currently self employed, growing my own wellness business whilst working part time at my local charity shop so I have a couple of afternoons free every week to spend time with your pooch. Communication is key when looking after your dog in your home. I want to ensure they feel happy and relaxed as if you were there, so I'll make sure we have a chat beforehand so I understand and can meet the needs of your dog. After all, each dog is unique :)
About: I take care of all animals with love and compassion, making sure they feel safe and comfortable under my care. With years of experience with dogs, I can handle any situation with ease and confidence. I’m told I have a calming and gentle presence which help animals to relax and trust me quickly. My passion for animals led me to volunteer at animal shelters before I became a dog owner. I gained valuable experience working with a variety of animals. I have two Corgi crosses of my own called Milo and Bella, they are my absolute world. I currently work part time and find I have days spare and would love to be able to fill that time doing something that brings me joy. I am dedicated to providing the best possible care for your pets, ensuring they receive the attention and affection they deserve. I’m more than happy to come to your home and spend time playing with or cuddling your pets, as well as feeding, walking or letting them out for toilet breaks. Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Adur choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a key safe or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a key safe. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalised codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in a flat, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or lift etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English, French, German, and Spanish from Mon-Sat 9am to 6pm.
