Thank you so much to Lin for caring for my two dogs at home.over my birthday weekend. Lin sent me regular updates on Qali and Nala, took them for little walks and made sure they had treats and were settled, keeping them happy in my absence. Lin took such good care of them and I can highly recommend her if you need someone to care for your dogs. Thank you again Lin.

Natasha was excellent and sent us regular updates and videos. Our two cats were rather elusive but she tried really hard to entice them in. We have her booked again soon and I am much more confident going away and leaving the cats knowing that she is coming again.

About: I've grown up around all sorts of animals, from furry, to exotic. Friends and family have relied on me for pet sitting for years, and as I enjoy it so much, I thought I'd finally offer my services to others too. I'm a West Sussex-based self-employed artist, so I have a pretty flexible schedule. I'm available at the beginning of the week and some Saturdays. I'm quite flexible if you need a last-minute booking or an extra visit. I drive a large car so transport isn't a problem for myself or an animal. I currently have a 1-year-old kitten myself called Juniper, who I absolutely adore! Alongside a creative degree, I studied Level 3 Animal Care & Behaviour and have always been interested in Zoology & Marine Biology. I also spent some time in Spring volunteering at a local animal rescue where they had all sorts of farm animals. I'm a self-employed artist who works 3 days a week, sometimes less. This means I typically have lots of spare time to commit to something alot more casual and figured this was a really good option! I am more than happy with spontaneous bookings. I will not be caring for pets in my own home until I know my kitten would be okay with this & until this becomes a more regular job.

About: I am at home full time, own 3 dogs, 2 of which are rescue. I occasionally foster dogs in preparation for a home of their own. I have lots of experience of dogs of all shapes and sizes and behaviour. I suppose my niche is reactive dogs. Giving them lots of love and understanding so they have more confidence to deal with life. I work part time from home & plan my day around the dogs. Often walking several times a day depending on the individual dogs needs. I have a secure garden and have reconfigured my house for dogs. Dogs are free to roam although I have areas that can be separated.

About: Myself and my 4 year old Cockapoo Wally have been through a lot together and I am very well versed in needy dogs who want to play. Working from home with a small, but totally closed in garden, right next to a park and 10 minutes from the beach, we have a lovely little setup for your pups to make a friend and do some good relaxing. I work from home on the days I accept boarding. We go for an easy going over the park walk in the mornings, it’s back over the park at lunch for wee breaks (but I have a garden too) and then mix it up after work. We might head to the beach, to the downs or to local nature reserve. Depends on the day and the dog! I have a fully fenced smaller garden with a grassy area for toilet breaks and playing. I’m on the ground floor so no steps involved and the dogs have the run of the house all day. My dog Wally, a 4 year old neutered Cockapoo, will always be here. Dogs won’t be left for more than 10 minutes (move the car, take the bins out) and even then it’s rare as my dog is a needy little guy! So you know they’ll always be watched! I would prefer to walk on lead but will work with owners to see the best options.

About: I had a dog for 15 years and adored having walks, especially in our favourite park and family holidays! I'm a creative individual and have a special connection with hiking around nature. I am currently looking for part time work and dog walking would also be a bonus! I lost my dog after having him for 15 years and want to continue to care for others' dogs. I live at home with my parents, having our own fenced off garden. We have all had the experience of dog care for 15 years.

About: I grew up in South Africa surrounded by dogs, cats, and horses — animals have been a constant in my life for as long as I can remember, and that instinct to care for them has never left me. Now based on the West Sussex coast, I offer drop-in visits for pets who just need someone reliable, calm, and genuinely attentive while their owner is away or at work. I'm not just ticking a box — I take the time to make sure your pet is comfortable, settled, and properly looked after. I'm highly organised and communicative, so you'll always get an update after each visit. No guessing, no anxiety on your end — just peace of mind that someone who actually loves animals is showing up for yours. If you want someone who'll treat your pet like their own for those in-between moments, I'm here. Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine. I'm currently flexible with my time, which means I can reliably commit to drop-in visits at consistent times that work for you and your pet. Routine matters to animals, and I take that seriously. I always prefer to meet a pet and their owner before any booking is confirmed — it matters to me that your pet is comfortable with me, and that I understand their environment, their quirks, and exactly what they need. For cats especially, I'm mindful of keeping doors secure, respecting their space, and leaving everything exactly as I found it. You'll get an update after every visit without having to ask.

About: I have loved animals for as long as I can remember. I spent my teen years pet sitting for family and friends, and for a long time, I was a regular on BorrowMyDoggy while I waited to finally have a dog of my own. That dream came true, and I now share a dog with my partner and his Mum. We also have a cat in the house, so I’m very used to managing a multi-pet household. I’m currently at home quite a bit, which means I can offer plenty of company, consistent routines, and long walks. I’ve spent 15 years working in schools and have just finished my degree, so you can trust that I’m reliable, organised, and will treat your pets like my own family. I'm currently working part time so I have lots of free time to offer pet sitting services. I'm looking to either pet sit in someone's home or offer dog walks. I make sure to be extra vigilant when looking after someone's pet in their home and to follow any instructions which may have been left.

I am very respectful in others homes and will take instructions of how to look look after your pet perfectly. Your pets safety is my top priority.

About: I’ve grown up around cats and dogs my whole life and currently have two dogs of my own. I regularly look after friends and family’s dogs when they’re away, so I’m comfortable caring for different breeds and personalities. I genuinely love animals and enjoy making sure they’re happy, comfortable and well looked after. Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine. I’m currently not working full-time as I’ve recently moved back to the UK from the UAE, so I have plenty of flexibility and availability. I regularly go on long walks with my own dogs and often look after friends and family’s dogs and cats when they’re away. I’m used to building pet care around my day and genuinely enjoy spending time with animals, whether that’s taking dogs for walks, visiting cats at home or simply giving them some company and attention. In my own home: I have two dogs, so I’m used to providing daily walks, feeding, fresh water, playtime and plenty of attention. I make sure pets feel comfortable and have a safe, calm environment while sticking to their usual routine as much as possible. In a pet owner’s home: I’m happy to follow the owner’s instructions and keep to their pet’s normal routine. This includes feeding, walks, toilet breaks, playtime, giving them company and making sure they’re safe and comfortable. I’m also happy to send regular updates and photos so owners know their pets are doing well.

Roz kept me updated with regular messages and lovely photos, which were incredibly reassuring and made it much easier to relax knowing they were happy and well cared for. I wouldn't hesitate to book her again and would happily recommend her to anyone looking for a kind, reliable, and trustworthy cat sitter.

Yes, absolutely! Many sitters on Rover are experienced in caring for multiple pets simultaneously, whether you have a pack of dogs, a clowder of cats, or a mix of both.

Look for sitters who highlight multi-pet expertise or check for verified reviews from other Adur pet parents with similar pet households.

Every sitter on Rover must pass an identity verification before they can list their services. An identity verification confirms that the sitter is who they say they are based on their documents.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Adur choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a key safe or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a key safe. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalised codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.

If you live in a flat, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or lift etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

Emergency support is available by phone or email in English, French, German, and Spanish from Mon-Sat 9am to 6pm. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a qualified vet or offer other resources to help.

If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s booking protection means Rover Support will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
