About: I grew up on a small farm in Northern Ontario, and I have been caring for and genuinely enjoying spending time with animals for as long as I can remember! I have shared my life with dogs since I was a baby. I had a horse throughout my teen years, and aside from my best girl, Shanti (5.5-year-old Labrador), my most recent animal care was for our geriatric donkey, Eeyore, whilst staying with my family in Canada. In my downtime, I learn a lot about dog behaviour through books and experts online. I know that our pets are our best friends and family members; I will treat yours with utmost respect and kindness - guaranteed! I am currently providing pet care throughout the summer, whilst starting a new business (children's yoga in the park). I am on a sabbatical as an education specialist, and since I love spending time with animals, there is no better way than to spend my summer here in Brighton & Hove. I am open to day services, evenings and weekends. My availability is subject to a pre-booked camping trip and family commitments. I will work with you for bespoke animal care. My Labrador/best friend, Shanti, is excellent around other dogs. Together, owners and I will discuss and decide if our dogs are compatible to socialise together on walks. I live with my retired partner, who is also an animal-lover but the care and responsibility for your pet will be in my trusted hands. While there is no garden here, regular walks to the beach and to Hove Park fill our days. Shanti and I also love longer walks in the countryside/in the woods which we reach by car. Your dog might love to join us! In your home, I will ensure your pet is comfortable and life remains "status quo". If I can welcome your dog to our place, we will discuss all factors to ensure this is what is best for them. On our end, we will ensure they feel right at home. Crating is an option if you think best. Rest assured, I have been caring for animals all my life and when your furry family member is with me, they will be happy, well-cared for and comfortable.

About: Having grown up with dogs (having 3 at one point, during my childhood and teens) and contributed to all aspects of their care, I am experienced with a variety of breeds both big and small. I have been dog-sitting regularly for friends and family for the past 8 years providing overnight care for short and longer breaks. My children, now 18 and 14, were much younger when I began dog sitting. They are dog lovers, who understand dogs and always behave responsibly around them. We offer a relaxed, calm, yet stimulating environment, with plenty of love. I work flexibly, part-time and from home. I can offer a flexible schedule by arrangement on a variety of days to suit working days, days out, weekends away or longer breaks. I live in a 3 bedroom terrace, with my 18 and 14 year old children. We have a fully fenced garden, and a self enclosed porch, providing safety when opening/closing the front door. I have enough space in the lounge for beds and to crate a dog if appropriate for them. I have a snuffle mat for stimulation, extra toys, and an extra bed for smaller dogs if needed.

“Over the Christmas period our usual house sitting options were unavailable so we used Rover for the first time and were soon put in touch with Abe. Luckily he had availability and we had a meet up beforehand to allow him to meet Lily. Abe is a super friendly guy and you can tell he has a lot of experience around dogs. As he lives nearby he was flexible on start and end timings and he knew all the local walks. Over the time we were away we were kept up to date with activities at home and we got regular photos. When we got back Lily was super calm and relaxed - the sign of a good week! We wouldn’t hesitate to have Abe over again or recommend to others”

About: I've grown up around all sorts of animals, from furry, to exotic. Friends and family have relied on me for pet sitting for years, and as I enjoy it so much, I thought I'd finally offer my services to others too. I'm a West Sussex-based self-employed artist, so I have a pretty flexible schedule. I'm available at the beginning of the week and some Saturdays. I'm quite flexible if you need a last-minute booking or an extra visit. I drive a large car so transport isn't a problem for myself or an animal. I currently have a 1-year-old kitten myself called Juniper, who I absolutely adore! Alongside a creative degree, I studied Level 3 Animal Care & Behaviour and have always been interested in Zoology & Marine Biology. I also spent some time in Spring volunteering at a local animal rescue where they had all sorts of farm animals. I'm a self-employed artist who works 3 days a week, sometimes less. This means I typically have lots of spare time to commit to something alot more casual and figured this was a really good option! I am more than happy with spontaneous bookings. I will not be caring for pets in my own home until I know my kitten would be okay with this & until this becomes a more regular job.

About: I’ve grown up with dogs and have a dog of my own, so I’m very used to everything that comes with looking after them! I absolutely love being around dogs and regularly look after and walk dogs for neighbours, friends and family. I’m friendly, caring and responsible and understand how important it is to know your dog is in safe hands when you’re not there. I’m happy with walks, feeding, playtime and lots of cuddles and will always follow your dog’s usual routine. I’ll give your dog plenty of attention and treat them just like I do my own. I’m currently starting my gap year, so I have lots of flexibility and am available throughout the week, including weekdays, evenings and weekends. I can be flexible with times and am available for regular walks, daytime care, overnight stays or last-minute help where needed. I’ll always follow your dog’s usual routine as closely as possible, including feeding, walks, playtime and any particular likes or dislikes. As a dog owner myself I know how important it is to feel that your dog is in safe hands.

About: I have had pets my whole life and since moving to Brighton a year ago, I really miss having animals in my life! I have dogs sat for friends/family/collegues etc for around 5 years I work full-time in a café, my usual working hours are somewhere between 8-16. With breaks in the day. I always have Monday / Tuesday off every week and work short shifts at the weekend. I do not have a garden, but I have a light airy flat for your pet to make themselves at home. I am not strict on animals being on my furniture. The cuddlier the better. I am an early riser, so I will always walk your pets before I have to go to work and I am always able to pop home on lunch break. Followed by a lovely afternoon walking/cuddling/playing with your pets.
