“We booked Laura as we were looking after our mum’s dog for two weeks, we had never used a dog walker before. Laura made this process easy, I was so stressed about him and she put me at ease with her great communication and kind caring attitude. Excellent service, thank you!”

“Linda was great with Belle, who is a fairly anxious dog. Linda allowed Belle to come to her calmly without fuss and took her out for a walk. I was really impressed with Linda’s approach with Belle and delighted I have found someone who Belle and I can trust. Thank you.”

“Sarah was so helpful in accepting a last minute request to walk my dog. She’s met him and looked after him before but this was the first time I’d booked on Rover for just a walk after I’d had an emergency that meant I couldn’t do it. She came to my house and gave Obi a lovely walk, listening carefully about and watching for his tendency to be reactive. I’m very grateful to Sarah for the extra effort she made and am lucky to know her for dog care from time to time. I highly recommend Sarah!”

“Hannah and Ryan have done a fantastic job with our very anxious dog, Tia. She absolutely adores them already and gets so excited whenever she sees them. Tia is a reactive dog and can be very nervous and scared of a lot of things, but Hannah and Ryan handle her with patience, understanding, and confidence. They have taken the time to get to know her and make her feel safe and comfortable. Every time Tia comes back from a walk, she is happy, relaxed, and clearly has had a wonderful time. It's such a relief knowing she is in such capable and caring hands. We couldn't recommend Hannah and Ryan highly enough!”

About: We’ve had dogs our whole lives and now have our own little fur baby, Hiccup. We love watching pups gain trust and feel at home during their stay with us. Before moving to the UK in 2020, we spent over three years dog-sitting in South Africa. Now, we continue pursuing our passion for animals by caring for dogs together, with Hiccup as our friendly sidekick. We promise to treat your furry friends as if they were our own, with endless kindness, cuddles, and love. 💕🐾 A normal day in our life with Hiccup: wake up then feed him & take him for a quick walk. Play at lunchtime then evening walk and dinner We have a back garden which is fully enclosed so it’s very safe for the dogs to enjoy. About: Hi I’m Lorna, I work in the charity and well-being space and recently moved to Shoreham a few months ago. Over the past 8 years I have developed a huge love for dogs and the dream is to have one of my own one day. For now, I’m looking to meet and care for as many dogs as possible and help out where I can, giving them company, walks, love and attention to help make them feel as happy as possible. I love walking, exploring nature and being outdoors so could spend hours outside strolling with your pooch. Being a yoga teacher I have a calming nature and just love being around dogs, I think everyone should have one in their life, they are so good for wellbeing. I have done numerous accounts of dog sitting over the past few years for a friends 2 staffs and more recently many dog walks and sitting for a family members Mastiff. I also regularly walk a lovely Bichon Frise, so have experience caring for dogs both big and small. I would look after your dog like my own, so please drop me a line if you'd like me to help :) I'm currently self employed, growing my own wellness business whilst working part time at my local charity shop so I have a couple of afternoons free every week to spend time with your pooch. Communication is key when looking after your dog in your home. I want to ensure they feel happy and relaxed as if you were there, so I'll make sure we have a chat beforehand so I understand and can meet the needs of your dog. After all, each dog is unique :)
About: I am 23 years old and living in Hove. Animals have always been a huge part of my life, and I have grown up caring for three dogs, two cats, chickens, ducks, and a tortoise. Alongside this personal experience, I have also gained over 2 years of professional pet sitting, dog walking, feeding, and house sitting. I am confident caring for pets of all ages and temperaments, including puppies, senior dogs, and nervous or reactive dogs who may need extra patience and understanding. I can drive, and am happy to tailor walks and care routines to suit your pet's individual needs. Above all, I aim to make pets feel safe, comfortable, and loved while giving owners complete peace of mind when they're away. Having recently graduated, I currently have a very flexible schedule and am fully available throughout the week, including weekdays and weekends, during work hours, and late evenings. I have experience caring for nervous and reactive dogs and understand the importance of patience, consistency, and respecting your pet's boundaries. During walks and drop-in visits I will stick to your pet's usual routine and any specific instructions provided, including feeding requirements, medication, training preferences, or behavioural needs.
About: I’ve always had animals at the centre of my life, and caring for them comes naturally to me. Over the years I’ve walked my friends’ dogs regularly and looked after a wide range of animals including horses, cats, tortoises and ducks. I’ve even gained hands-on experience working at an animal sanctuary in Australia, which strengthened my understanding of animal care and responsibility. I currently have three cats of my own, so I know just how important it is to trust someone with your pets. While I’m not able to have a dog full-time, Rover gives me the perfect opportunity to spend time with them and provide the same love, care and attention I give my own pets. I take real pride in looking after animals and will always treat yours as if they were my own. Pet care is a natural part of my daily routine as I already care for my three cats every day, including feeding, grooming, play, litter maintenance, and monitoring their wellbeing. I also work flexibly from home, which allows me to easily fit pet care around my schedule and be present throughout the day. On a weekly basis, I also help look after friends’ pets when needed, including dog walking and cat sitting, so I’m experienced in balancing additional responsibilities alongside my routine. Because I genuinely enjoy being around animals, I naturally prioritise their care and make sure I’m attentive, reliable, and consistent whenever I’m looking after them. I will need to look after animals in the pet owners home. I follow the pet’s established routine as closely as possible to help them feel safe and secure in their familiar environment. I take time to understand their specific needs, habits, and preferences, including feeding schedules, exercise requirements, and any medication or special care instructions. I always aim to provide calm, attentive, and respectful care, treating every pet as if they were my own while ensuring their home is left clean, tidy, and exactly as found.
About: I’ve grown up with dogs and cats and my family have re-homed various pets over the years. I also have experience in looking after puppies and kittens. I am kind and patient and am able to spot when a pet may be anxious or stressed. I work from home a few times a week and so am able to walk dogs or let pets out for a toilet break most days. I live locally and am also able to stay over to pet or house sit if required. My garden is secure and I have experience looking after all types of breeds including small, medium and large dogs. I live close to a large field which is generally quiet and is perfect for dogs to run around in.

About: Cats and Dogs have been a part of my life since I was a child. I had a cat growing up and she lived until 22! My preference as an adult now, is Dogs however. Although I have not owned one myself (something my husband and I plan to remedy ASAP), I have lots of experience taking care of dogs. One of my previous partners had 5! I want every dog we look after to feel comfortable, at home and have a great time! I have recently been made redundant, so am not working. At the moment, I am free most days, all of the day, with the odd pre-arranged plans. We have a partly fenced shared garden but 2 big parks within 5 minutes walking distance. We are on the ground floor, so quick loo breaks are extremely simple. Although overall, a small-ish flat, there are plenty of places for quiet and alone time as well as being able to cuddle and chill on the sofas when needed.

“Matilde was great with Frodo, really appreciate her flexibility in needing some last minute dog walking while away from home. Frodo loved going out with her and she took great care of him.”

About: You don't have to chose. I love cats and dogs equally. I've got a lovely and affectionate tabby cat and a wired miniture Daschund who are my whole world. I have plenty of time to take care of your pup or kitty. I can take them outside every 2 hours and for 2 walks per day. I have a spacious ground floor flat where they'll be free to roam with no restrictions. I have a front garden and live next to a large green. I have and take my dog on 2-3 walks a day. They will have company with my friendly cat and dog. I can't look after male cats due to territorial behaviour from my male cat.

Today was Paisley's 3rd walk with Laura. It's a rainy day and he's been refusing to step out of the house. But the minute he saw her he was off for his park walk no problem! I always get a full report of what adventures they've been on and a super cute photo, and he comes back exhausted and ready for a nap. Highly recommend Laura for walking your pups.

Linda was great with Belle, who is a fairly anxious dog. Linda allowed Belle to come to her calmly without fuss and took her out for a walk. I was really impressed with Linda’s approach with Belle and delighted I have found someone who Belle and I can trust. Thank you.
