“Mylo had such a lovely time with Georgina. He’s an older boy with separation anxiety so it was important to me to find the right person for him but Georgina clearly understood him straight away He had the best time and had settled quickly ! Will definitely rebook Thank you”

About: We had our Retriever/Collie mix breed for almost 18 years, from boisterous puppy to (very) senior retiree, so have experience across the life of a dog. Both Andy & CJ work from home full time (bar one day a week when CJ is in the office) with a large amount of flexibility. We have a big back garden with large deck and lots of grass (and nothing of value!). Dogs are allowed pretty much anywhere in the house, so they would be able to wander about, sleep in the office with us, or elsewhere for some R&R.

“Sarah has been great with our little Lottie providing updates, pictures and videos. Lottie definitely had a great time with her! Will definitely recommend her and use her services again!!”

“Linda was fantastic! Our puppy had a wonderful afternoon with Linda in her lovely house and garden. Linda had everything set up for our pups stay. Thank you so much Linda for making both me and Figgy feel welcome and comfortable. We hope to see you again soon 🐶”

“Valentina looked after remi so well! She was as thoughtful and shared updates with us regularly throughout the day. She was very trustworthy and perfect at communitating. Remi came back sleepy and very happy! We will definitely use Valentina again for doggy day care for our loveable Remi!”

About: I used to have a dog in our family for 10 years. Our dog was our baby and part of the family. I then got married and moved away. I'm a mum of two (aged 7 and 9) who both love animals, we live near a large park and the South Downs so no problem to walk any dogs 🐕. My husband is also happy to join us on walks when he can. We have a small garden for play etc protected by a high secure fence. We will make sure your dog is happy in our house while you are away, we will also send you some pictures if your dog stays with us. While with us your pet/s will be part of our family, there are no restrictions. I have a small part time job, it's only a few nights a week and my husband takes over when I'm not there, so no issues at all. We have a secure fenced garden and take much care when opening the front door, your dogs happyness, safety, and security is paramount to us.
“Lottie had the best time with Leanne! We received plenty of updates, pictures and videos throughout the day, would definitely recommend Leanne and use her services again!”

“Lorraine took such fantastic care of our boy! He’s usually a bit of an anxious bundle, but when we picked him up he was so calm and happy and had clearly had a lovely time. We would absolutely recommend Lorraine to everyone, thank you!”

“Toula had such a good time spending the day with Inesa, and seemed to have a great bond with her dog Laska, wanting to give her lots of kisses! We were not sure how Toula would settle in an unfamiliar house, but we needn't have worried, she certainly made herself at home. Inesa has a calmness about her, therefore making our dog feel as ease. We would be more than happy for her to stay with Inesa and Laska again. Would highly recommend.”

“Thank you so much for looking after Lottie today! She came home happy, relaxed, and clearly well cared for. I really appreciate the attention you gave her and the updates throughout the day. It’s such a relief knowing she’s in safe, loving hands. Looking forward to booking again soon!”

“A big Thank you to Tamsin who was able to accommodate my need for dog day care at the last minute. This was my rescue dog's second visit and he was not at all distressed when I left him for the day. That speaks volumes”

About: A born animal lover, been around cats & dogs all my life, I am now 43 and have a cat but adore dogs more (love my cat obviously) but as a freeholder I am not allowed to have 1 long term in my building even though I own the flat and have a garden. I loving walking and taking your dog out will be a pleasure for me. I am very responsible and you can rely on there never being an issue and your furry friend getting the love, empathy and exercise it needs! I work from home and I have a cat, she is out most of the day and loves dogs but if your dog isn't a fan of cats then it won't work. I have a caring, clean and safe environment and will look after your dog like they are my own. Lots of walks and love would be standard! The only reason I don't have a dog is that even though I own my flat and have a garden, the freehold contract between the 3 flats made me sign when I bought that I would only have a cat. So I am doing this because it makes up for not having my own!
“Katherine communicated clearly and has a border collie that immediately made friends with my dog Bunyip, and apparently they just played together all day. He slept for about 13 hours once we got home so I'm sure he had a good time!”

About: Hi! We’re Klaudija & Charlie - a dog-loving couple based in Hove 🐾 We both work from home, so your dog will have constant company, attention and care throughout the day. We’ve both grown up with dogs and regularly look after family and friends’ pets, so we’re very comfortable with different breeds, routines and personalities. We also have a friendly 2-year-old miniature dachshund called Lily, who loves the company of other dogs 🐶 We live in a house with a secure fenced garden and are close to local parks and the Downs, so there’ll be plenty of walks, playtime and outdoor time. Because we work from home, dogs are rarely left alone and get lots of cuddles, attention and supervision throughout the day. We only take one pet owner at a time, which means your dog will have a calm, safe and relaxed home environment with plenty of one-to-one care 💛 We know how important it is to feel comfortable leaving your dog with someone, so we’ll always keep you updated with regular photos and messages while you’re away 📸 We both work from home, so your dog will have plenty of attention and company throughout the day 🐾 Our routine is very flexible, allowing for regular walks, playtime and toilet breaks every 2–4 hours (or more if needed). We usually go for daily walks locally, including the Downs and nearby parks, so your dog will get lots of fresh air and exercise. Dogs are rarely left alone and are part of our daily routine. Your dog’s safety and comfort are our top priority 💛 We live in a house with a secure fenced garden, so they can enjoy safe outdoor time as well as relax inside. We have a friendly 2-year-old miniature dachshund who is used to other dogs. We always introduce dogs carefully to make sure everyone feels comfortable. We follow your dog’s usual routine as closely as possible (feeding, walks, sleep), and we’re happy to accommodate any specific needs. We’ll also keep you updated with regular photos and messages so you can feel at ease while you’re away 📸

Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later collection to match your Adur commute.
If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust collection and drop-off times when needed.
Your dog’s first day care experience is a big milestone! To help your pup settle in comfortably, we recommend:
- Food and treats portioned for the day, with feeding instructions
- Your dog's lead and collar (ensure tags are up-to-date)
- Any seasonal gear, such as paw-safe wax for winter or a cooling vest for the summer
- Medication, if applicable, with clear dosage notes
- Any special care instructions or training tips to help your sitter provide the most personalised care possible
Tip: Upload this information directly through the Rover app before drop-off. The more context you provide, the better your sitter can tailor the day to your dog.
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog's vaccines is the best way to be 'boarding ready'. Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Sitters in South East England may request that your dog be up-to-date on core vaccines, such as Canine Distemper, Canine Parvovirus, Canine Adenovirus (also known as DHP or DHPPi), Leptospirosis and Kennel Cough. Cats may be required to have Feline Panleucopenia Virus, Feline Herpesvirus, Feline Calicivirus, and Feline Leukaemia Virus up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poo breaks occured. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available for dedicated customer support by email or chat if you have concerns.
The personalised, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.
Every sitter on Rover must pass an identity verification before they can list their services. An identity verification confirms that the sitter is who they say they are based on their documents.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page .
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English, French, German, and Spanish from Mon-Sat 9am to 6pm. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a qualified vet or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s booking protection means Rover Support will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes dedicated customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement programme for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
We require sitters to operate in compliance with applicable local licensing requirements. In England, pet sitters who board dogs or provide doggy day care as a business may need a valid licence under the Animal Welfare (Licensing of Activities Involving Animals) Regulations 2018. When vetting your sitter, ask if they meet local licensing requirements for dog boarding. This confirmation is important for coverage under the Rover Guarantee. Read more about our requirement for following local licensing requirements .
