“Chris looked after our two dogs, Reva and Mora, for the day while we popped off to visit Arundel Castle during a weekend camping trip nearby. He was absolute brilliant from start to finish. He took both of ours out for a fantastic one-hour forest walk alongside his own dog, and kept us fully in the loop with regular updates and plenty of photos throughout the day. It gave us complete peace of mind, allowing us to relax and enjoy our day trip without worrying about the dogs. We highly recommend Chris and will definitely be contacting him again whenever we’re next camping in the area.”

“Kathy is so conscientious and caring of Raffy and he always comes home having had a wonderful playdate with Kathy's own two dogs. Kathy is very reliable, always tries to fit around my plans, and is a great communicator. Kathy has become a regular go-to for me when I need help with Raffs. I highly recommend Kathy as a dog carer. Thank you Kathy.”

Bramble had a great time with Tina and was very tired in the evening! :) . I would not hesitate in recommending Tina for dog care.”

I have over 7 years of experience looking after pets of all kinds, including dogs, cats, and small animals, so you can feel confident your furry friend is in safe hands. I have a small dog named Minnie, who is very friendly and loves being around other dogs. She’s gentle and sociable, so she’s a great companion for visiting pups. I work from home, which means I have a very flexible schedule and can give your dog plenty of attention throughout the day—no long stretches of being left alone. I usually provide at least three walks a day, along with playtime and lots of affection. Your dog’s safety and happiness are my top priorities. I always follow your care instructions carefully and will keep you updated with messages and photos, so you have peace of mind while you’re away. I’d love to meet you and your dog—feel free to reach out with any questions! As work from home so I am very flexible. I usually give my dog 3 walks a day and play with her during the day at home and in the garden. My flat is very spacious and free of any dangerous hazards. I adjust my day care to your needs - just tell me what you need :-)

“My dog, Bo, visited Chelsea for the first time today. We are going away in March and in need of boarding for him so wanted to get some visits in with Chelsea beforehand to ensure he was going to be ok. I was a little nervous as Bo has never done anything like this before but Chelsea was extremely responsive in messages and today went great! I really appreciated the regular updates including photos and Bo really enjoyed his time with Chelsea today. We now have many more visits booked in. Thank you Chelsea, highly recommended!!”

“Lily and Frida made themselves at home judging by the photos Jake sent! They had a lovely walk and seemed very happy when I collected them. Jake and his partner are attentive doggie carers and I have no hesitation in leaving the girls in their care.”
“We always ask Wendy to have Phoebe when we need some one to look after her if she's available. Phoebe absolutely loves going there and is treated so well!! Can't recommend Wendy enough, she's brilliant!”

About: Hi, I’m Louise, and caring for dogs has been part of my life for as long as I can remember. I grew up with dogs and, until a couple of years ago, our family shared our home with our much-loved Bulldog, who brought us endless happiness. Losing him left a huge gap in our lives, and we really miss having a dog around the house. Looking after dogs isn’t just something I do – it’s something I genuinely love. Every dog has its own personality, and I enjoy taking the time to get to know them so they feel safe, relaxed and happy while they’re with me. To make sure I can provide the highest standard of care, I have completed Canine First Aid training and Dog Behaviour training. This means I understand how to recognise signs of stress, communicate with dogs appropriately, and respond calmly if an emergency were ever to arise. Whether your dog loves long walks, playing, cuddles on the sofa or simply relaxing in a quiet environment, I’ll make sure they receive the individual care and attention they deserve. I know how difficult it can be to leave a beloved pet, so I’ll keep you updated with regular photos and messages, giving you complete peace of mind while you’re away. My aim is simple: to provide a safe, loving home-from-home where your dog is treated as one of the family. I would be honoured to care for your pet as if they were my own. I work from home and I carefully manage my bookings so every dog receives plenty of time, attention and companionship. My daughter Tia who is currently studying equine management and loves animals, also works with me which means your pet is never just another booking. We offer flexible boarding, overnight stays and holiday care, with lots of playtime, cuddles, enrichment and regular updates so you can relax knowing your dog is in safe, loving hands. Your dog’s safety, happiness and wellbeing are always our top priorities. We have a secure, fully enclosed garden and provide a calm, loving home where dogs are treated like part of the family. I’ve owned dogs since childhood and completed canine first aid and dog behaviour training, so I’m confident caring for dogs of different ages, sizes and personalities. We only take a maximum number of two dogs from the same household at a time to ensure every pet receives individual attention, and we’ll always follow your dog’s normal routine, feeding schedule and any special instructions to help them feel completely at home.
About: I’ve taken care of dogs and cats. I have experience with rescue cats and dogs and the administration of medication. I also have experience with pets with special diets. I currently work from home so Housesitting works perfectly as my working hours are flexible meaning I have plenty of time to care for your furry friend . I have a fenced Garden for doggy daycare and make use of all security measures when sitting in your home. My house is fully enclosed

About: My husband Ryan and I have both always loved dogs and have looked after countless pups over the years both for family, friends and others. Our dog Nugs is the most important and precious thing in the world to us so we completely understand how nerve-wracking it can be to trust someone new with your baby. But dogs are treated like royalty in our home. Welcome on all furniture including the bed and as many kisses and cuddles as they’re comfortable with will be bestowed upon their tiny heads. Our pug Nugs is a pro companion now - he’s welcomed so many dogs of all sizes and breeds into his home over the years and is the most docile little thing you can imagine. He’s getting a bit older now and takes certain medication and supplements and so we’re happy to take on any dogs with additional needs. Not only do we have incredible walks on our doorstep (Highdown hill and Angmering Park Estate) but if your pup is comfortable in the car, we regularly pop a few minutes down the road to the beach for walks so they can have fun paddling in the rock pools or swimming in the sea. Before we commit to any bookings we will ask to meet you and your dog before hand to make sure they are comfortable and happy with us and our dog Nugs. Ensuring they will be happy and safe with us is our main priority. Both my husband and I work from home full time so they won’t be left alone for long periods of time. I am freelancing so set my own schedule so am able to be totally flexible when it comes to walks depending on your dogs routine and the weather to make sure it’s safe for them to go out. If your dog has a preference and set routine for walks, we’re easily able to accommodate this for you. We have a large enclosed private garden for your dog to run around in. Our pug Nugs is such a chill companion and is really good at adjusting to your dogs boundaries. His go to is to keep himself to himself but if your dog wants to play or snuggle, he’ll happily join in. Our home is clean, smoke free and dogs are welcome on all furniture including the bed. We’re happy to accommodate your needs and preferences so if you’d like them to sleep on a crate, in their own bed in a different room, or in our room/on our bed - that’s totally fine. We always welcome more cuddles! We have easy access to vets if they needed any medical attention whilst you’re away and are happy to administer medication or supplements for your dog as needed.

Your dog’s first day care experience is a big milestone! To help your pup settle in comfortably, we recommend:
- Food and treats portioned for the day, with feeding instructions
- Your dog's lead and collar (ensure tags are up-to-date)
- Any seasonal gear, such as paw-safe wax for winter or a cooling vest for the summer
- Medication, if applicable, with clear dosage notes
- Any special care instructions or training tips to help your sitter provide the most personalised care possible
Tip: Upload this information directly through the Rover app before drop-off. The more context you provide, the better your sitter can tailor the day to your dog.
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog's vaccines is the best way to be 'boarding ready'. Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Sitters in South East England may request that your dog be up-to-date on core vaccines, such as Canine Distemper, Canine Parvovirus, Canine Adenovirus (also known as DHP or DHPPi), Leptospirosis and Kennel Cough. Cats may be required to have Feline Panleucopenia Virus, Feline Herpesvirus, Feline Calicivirus, and Feline Leukaemia Virus up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poo breaks occured. A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
We require sitters to operate in compliance with applicable local licensing requirements. In England, pet sitters who board dogs or provide doggy day care as a business may need a valid licence under the Animal Welfare (Licensing of Activities Involving Animals) Regulations 2018. When vetting your sitter, ask if they meet local licensing requirements for dog boarding. This confirmation is important for coverage under the Rover Guarantee. Read more about our requirement for following local licensing requirements .
