“Neo was very happy being looked after by Daisy, when he first met her he didn’t want her to leave. I left instructions advising we have been trying to teach Neo how to sit and when we returned after a week and I gave him a treat he sat straight away and has continued to do so since! I’m really impressed! We came home to a very happy and chilled boy!”

“Becky arrived on time, was calm and confident with our dog who can be a little nervous. Becky was polite and I completely trusted her in our house with our fur baby, she listened to all our instruction and concerns professionally. I will defiantly be booking Becky again.”

“Mia was amazing with our little Pip, despite the hot weather. She played games with her and gave her lots of cuddles. Would highly recommend Mia and we will definitely be booking her again”

“Lynne was a huge help at short notice to take care of our Dog for a day. She kept me updated during her sit with pictures and reports of play time and snoozing in the sun. Absolutely brilliant.”

“Gabi did a great job of looking after our 7 month old puppy, 5yo rescue dog and dictatorial cat. Her comms was excellent, she was reliable, and everyone was happy at the end of the day. Thanks, would recommend!!”

About: Hi there , my name is Pippa , and i live in Elmer Sands , Bognor Regis. I have my own cat and a labrdor called lily who's aged 7 I've previously had a girl tabby cat who I had till age 15. My boy cat jake is 12 and was a stray who I've homed. So I'm used to nervous animals , although it took time for him to adapt after his family left him behind by mistake. I love animals and through doing many years helping people with homehelp , cleaning and help with pets , I've gained experience in my clients homes. I've recently helped a elderly neighbour adopt a cat from siddlesham rescue, and am currently helping her to get her rescue girl outside in the garden. I've walked dogs for clients I've cleaned for , and pet sat whilst they are away on holiday. I can supply references if needed. Hope this helpful. Feel free to ask me any concerns or questions you may have. Littlepip x 🐾 I have one home help job locally right now. I have a partner who's a retired builder. So I'm fairly available to sit. I have a fenced garden in a bungalow in elmer sands. I'm quite happy to sit in your home and pets environment if better for you though. Otherwise if dog friendly my labrador lily is usually home. My stray boy cat jake slopes off , and is used to our labrador. I'm happy to pop over and walk your dog , feed, water. I'd rather not help with medications. Yet don't mind a flea and worm pill in food if required. I can cat sit or pop in to feed / give water and fuss in your own home environment if preffered.
About: Caring friendly nature that even nervous pets warm to which I allow at their pace, confident around Dogs especially afore mentioned. Initial introduction is my speciality as was proven when visiting friends in the North East that have 2 x reactive rescue dogs within 10-15 minutes managed to gain the trust of both dogs and had a faboulous long weekend with my new fury family Due to my work with sepecial education I find myself free during school holidays and I appreciate how some familys find it hard to move the Fur Babbies into strange enviroments especially without the usual rountines or family away on holiday My speciality is looking after pets and house sitting which seems to be getting more and more difficult for families that really require this specialist service I have offered this service for friends and family for many years, when I Iooked to live in France permanantly and set up a business I have provided this service and had great feedback Unfortunatly due to personal cicumstances and Brexit I have returned to live in the UK I only offer this service During School Holidays when i am not working myself, when looking after Pets / Homes this gets my full priority I like keeping fit by walking so a win win Looking after your pets in your home is a privelage as I do not have pets myself due to my work in special education & only able to look after pets in school holidays. I believe that this causes families with pets extra anxiety when the school holidays come around as not all staycation accomadation take pets, with new regulations travelling to europe with Dogs has also become so much harder since Brexit. Some people find it hard relaxing whilst on holiday not only about their pets but also security in the home My good friends always say they can relax on holiday when I look after there pets and their house which gives me a great feeling that I am helping people to get some much needed relaxation that normally would struggle to get away I am well travelled and I like to visit different places gaining new adventures which helps me to relax, I also pride myself on being organised and looking after the family home when people are away as well as the pets, fully capable of dealing with any of those unexpected life challenges that come along

“Millie was absolutely fantastic. The pets were incredibly well looked after and the house was spotless when we came back. Will definitely request Millie again if she's available.”

“Outstanding! Hannah did an amazing job of keeping my cats happy and me reassured. Willing to consider my/cat requests. Punctual and clear communication. Despite being away I felt my cats were safe. Home was in a much better state than I left it. Thank you very much!”

“We were very grateful when Shannon was able to dog sit at short notice. She was friendly and calm with our two little chi’s, one of whom takes a little time to get used to new people. She sent us photos and a video of them both settled and relaxed in her company, really helped to put our minds at ease. We would be happy for Shannon to care for our two again in the future.”

About: Hi, I’m Dai, a reliable and caring dog sitter who provides pet sitting in your dog’s own home, allowing them to remain comfortable in familiar surroundings while you’re away. I’ve owned dogs for over 15 years and have spent that time caring for dogs of different breeds, sizes and personalities. Alongside looking after my own dogs, I’ve regularly cared for dogs belonging to friends and family, giving me valuable hands-on experience with a wide range of temperaments and routines. I work full-time in a remote role, which gives me the flexibility to work from different locations and spend more time with the pets in my care. This means your dog can enjoy companionship and attention throughout the day, rather than being left alone for long periods. I understand how important it is to find someone you can trust with both your pet and your home. In my spare time, I volunteer within the community, a role that requires me to hold a DBS check, providing additional reassurance to owners when entrusting me with their pets and property. Whether your dog enjoys long walks, playtime, plenty of cuddles or simply sticking to their normal routine, I’ll ensure they receive the care, attention and exercise they need while you’re away. I’ll also keep you updated with regular photos and messages so you can have complete peace of mind. My aim is simple: to provide a trustworthy, professional and caring service that keeps both you and your dog happy. Pet care fits well into my routine as I work remotely and can be flexible about where I work. This allows me to spend quality time with pets throughout the day, whether that’s providing companionship, feeding, walks or simply keeping them company in their own home. I am happy to work around a pet’s usual routine and keep owners updated regularly while they are away. When caring for pets in their own home, my priority is maintaining their normal routine and ensuring they feel safe, comfortable and relaxed while their owners are away. I take the time to understand each pet’s feeding schedule, exercise requirements, favourite activities and any specific instructions so that their day-to-day life remains as consistent as possible. I treat every home with the same respect and care that I would my own. I am reliable, trustworthy and understand the importance of keeping both pets and property secure. My volunteering role requires me to hold a DBS check, providing additional reassurance to owners. I provide regular updates, photos and messages throughout each booking so owners can see how their pets are getting on and have peace of mind while they’re away. Whether caring for an energetic dog, a senior pet or an independent cat, I always aim to provide attentive, responsible and compassionate care.
“Louise was very responsive, Zeph loved her and enjoyed some super walks with her (he's an energetic cocker spaniel!). The house was left immaculate. Louise sent plenty of photos and updates. I wouldn't hesitate to use her again.”

“Amelia was amazing with our puppy, who has separation anxiety. She was extremely reassuring, communicative and responsive and took amazing photos of our dog ! Would highly recommend her and won’t hesitate to book her again. Thank you so much Amelia :) x”

About: Hi, I’m Louise, and caring for dogs has been part of my life for as long as I can remember. I grew up with dogs and, until a couple of years ago, our family shared our home with our much-loved Bulldog, who brought us endless happiness. Losing him left a huge gap in our lives, and we really miss having a dog around the house. Looking after dogs isn’t just something I do – it’s something I genuinely love. Every dog has its own personality, and I enjoy taking the time to get to know them so they feel safe, relaxed and happy while they’re with me. To make sure I can provide the highest standard of care, I have completed Canine First Aid training and Dog Behaviour training. This means I understand how to recognise signs of stress, communicate with dogs appropriately, and respond calmly if an emergency were ever to arise. Whether your dog loves long walks, playing, cuddles on the sofa or simply relaxing in a quiet environment, I’ll make sure they receive the individual care and attention they deserve. I know how difficult it can be to leave a beloved pet, so I’ll keep you updated with regular photos and messages, giving you complete peace of mind while you’re away. My aim is simple: to provide a safe, loving home-from-home where your dog is treated as one of the family. I would be honoured to care for your pet as if they were my own. I work from home and I carefully manage my bookings so every dog receives plenty of time, attention and companionship. My daughter Tia who is currently studying equine management and loves animals, also works with me which means your pet is never just another booking. We offer flexible boarding, overnight stays and holiday care, with lots of playtime, cuddles, enrichment and regular updates so you can relax knowing your dog is in safe, loving hands. Your dog’s safety, happiness and wellbeing are always our top priorities. We have a secure, fully enclosed garden and provide a calm, loving home where dogs are treated like part of the family. I’ve owned dogs since childhood and completed canine first aid and dog behaviour training, so I’m confident caring for dogs of different ages, sizes and personalities. We only take a maximum number of two dogs from the same household at a time to ensure every pet receives individual attention, and we’ll always follow your dog’s normal routine, feeding schedule and any special instructions to help them feel completely at home.

I would highly recommend Mia, she is a great communicator, warm and friendly and very switched on. Lottie is quite shy with new people and she gave her the space she needed while getting they got to know each other. Mia followed all the instructions I gave for Lotties care, sent photos and did a meet and greet first. I have already booked Mia again and would not hesitate to recommend her.

Becky arrived on time, was calm and confident with our dog who can be a little nervous. Becky was polite and I completely trusted her in our house with our fur baby, she listened to all our instruction and concerns professionally. I will defiantly be booking Becky again.

It’s the first time leaving our shihtzu Boss with someone else - I was a little worried but Amelia put my mind at ease. She took on our request at the last minute and welcomed my long list of things I had on my mind (sorry!!). I got updates regularly and Boss was so relaxed during his time with Amelia. Thank you!

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Post & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.

- Rubbish & recycling: Taking bins out on scheduled rubbish collection days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page .
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Arun choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a key safe or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest vet. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorisation form for your regular vet. An authorisation form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
