About: Hello! . I am a primary school teacher working locally and proud owner of Hessian, my five year old indoor cat. I love cats and animals in general and Hessian gives me so much joy and company. She is a nervous cat and so I feel I am well equipped to deal with other nervous cats. I live in Worthing and often use cat in a flat to find suitable cat sitters for my cat. I know that she cat is happiest when at home in her own environment and so I will ensure I give you the piece of mind to relax whilst you are away knowing that your gorgeous cat is taken care of.

We were looking for someone to look after our two whippets for a week while we went on holiday. It was the first time we'd left them and were quite nervous about finding the best fit. Our two, both took to Jane straight away, treating them like they were her own. The doggies loved her and responded to her, in some instances, better than they do with us! Jane made going away easy and both dogs ( especially our female Whippet who can be anxious) were given the five star treatment. We would highly recommend Jane to anyone needing a dog/house sitter as she is totally competent, reliable and trustworthy. I have started to refer to her as the Whippet whisperer!

Isabella was friendly and came to meet Luna before her stay. She stayed in our house and kept in contact with us, sending pictures of her time with Luna and our hamster, Ace. Luna is a rescue dog, and Isabella was kind and patient with her. Luna seemed very happy, and the house was left clean and tidy. We would happily have Isabella back to stay again.

Carly was amazing! Was very quick to respond when we first contacted her and came over to meet Bentley prior to having him. We had a hiccup with keys for Carly upon her arrival to come look after Bentley and Carly handled the whole situation magnificently! We came back to a very happy dog and she sent us updates of how he got on. Highly recommend her enthusiasm, friendliness and expertise with dogs. Thank you again and so glad to have found someone going forward to have our little fur baby!

She let us know throughout the evening how she was getting on and on our return Harley was happy and content so had obviously felt safe and happy being in Claire’s company! Will definitely book Claire in again soon. Thanks so much!

David and Melanie looked after our two dogs in our home for two and a half weeks, and we couldn't have been happier with the care they provided. They kept us updated throughout our trip with regular photos and messages, which gave us real peace of mind. Our German Wirehaired Pointer is a real handful, but David handled him brilliantly with confidence and patience. When we returned, both dogs were happy, relaxed, and clearly well cared for. As an added bonus, the house was absolutely immaculate. We would highly recommend David and Melanie to anyone looking for trustworthy, caring, and reliable pet sitters, and we wouldn't hesitate to have them look after our dogs again.

About: I've always had a natural instinct when it comes to connecting with animals - from senior cats and neighbourhood pets to the local dogs who'd seek me out when I worked in dog friendly pubs! With that 25 years of experience in hospitality, I pride myself on clear communication, understanding different personalities, and delivering reliable, high quality care tailored to both you and your pet. As a nature photographer, I've spent years learning how to give animals their space, read their subtle body language, and wait patiently for them to feel comfortable with me. That same quiet patience carries over to my pet sitting - whether I'm earning trust of a shy cat or keeping an energetic dog happy and relaxed. My background: Cats & small pets: Experience with multi-cat households, senior feline care, rabbits, hamsters and reptiles. Dogs: Plenty of hand-on experience looking after dogs owned by family, friends and partners. Bonus: Because of my photography background, you'll get fantastic, high quality photo updates of your pets while you're away! I work a shift pattern that gives me full, dedicated days off during the week and weekends. On my off days, pet care is my sole focus, allowing me to give your pet plenty of quality time, companionship and attention. I keep my calender up-to-date so you can easily see when I'm free, but feel free to message me to check specific dates. Because I provide care directly in your pets own home, safety, trust and clear communication are my top priorities. High Responsibility & Care: In my main job, I work in a residential care home supporting young people with complex trauma. This requires deep patience, emotional intuition, and strict attention to detail - skills I bring directly to caring for your pets. Medication & Accuracy: I handle medication and detailed record-keeping as part of my daily job, so you can trust me to follow any precise feeding, medical, or routine instructions to the letter. Home Security & Peace of Mind: I respect your home as if it were my own - keeping it clean, secure and sending regular photo updates so you can relax knowing everything is taken care of!

About: Hello, I’m a big lover of dogs and their individual personalities. We had a family Labrador called Baileys who loved beach walks. I’ve co-parented a Pug called Darcie, who became disabled (her back legs buckled) and I took her for walks in a doggy rucksack, which she loved! Also, before they moved to Scotland, I was an auntie to my friend’s French Bulldog called Travis, who’s a rescue. I currently look after a French Bulldog called Tina - we met and bonded through ‘Borrow My Doggy’. Therefore, I have experience with a range of dogs, including dogs with disabilities as well as nervous, reactive dogs. Being a lover of the outdoors and nature, I enjoy taking dogs out for walks and on little adventures. I believe in giving all dogs the best quality of life and would love the opportunity to be a part of their doggy journey. I would like a dog of my own; however, due to socialising and travelling often my lifestyle won’t allow it. I work in student engagement at a local university and work from home a lot, so am open to a dog keeping me company at my ground floor flat where I live alone and have a front garden. I also have spare time some evenings and weekends, and am open to looking after dogs in owners’ homes overnight and for holidays. I’m happy to answer any questions you have, and look forward to hearing from you and your fur baby. I work from home 4 days a week (days vary), and can take your fur baby to the toilet when needed during this time, and for a walk at lunch and/or after work. At weekends I like to get out in nature and would be happy to take them with me to enjoy the outdoors. I have an unfenced front garden (where I would keep your fluffy one on a lead if required, or would supervise them if they can be off-lead). I live in 2 bedroom flat where I live alone, so lots of space for your fluffy one to be free with me.

Carly took great care of Mylo and Meeko while we were away for 18 days. She followed all their routines, including giving Mylo his Apoquel every morning, and sent me lovely photos and updates every morning and evening, which was so reassuring while we were away. Mylo is quite an anxious boy and only really opens up to people once he trusts them, so I was really happy to see how quickly he became comfortable with Carly and even started going to her for attention. Meeko absolutely adored her and seemed to spend half the holiday on her lap! I was getting slightly jealous of some of the photos! 😂 We came home to two happy, relaxed dogs who had clearly been very well looked after. I would happily have Carly look after them again. ❤️

Olivia has been a star with our reactive rescue dog! From the moment of meeting her we felt super comfortable of leaving our dog in her care. We recieved updates and fotos throughout. She also ensured we were informed/ questioned about decisions there were to make during a major heatwave. Our dog was happy to see us on arrival, but kept checking all day and night to see where her new friend had gone to. Pleased to say that we already booked her again!

We booked Lauren for an overnight sit to look after our puppy, Koki. Lauren was very professional throughout the process, and came to meet us and Koki twice before the sit. Koki responded very well to Lauren, and we were very comfortable leaving Koki under Lauren's care. Lauren arrived well in time for the sit, and was very well prepared. Koki was very happy and relaxed in her company. Lauren kept us very well informed about how Koki was doing, and we had no concerns at all during the sit. On our return, Koki was very good spirits and clearly enjoyed the sit, and Lauren left the house in very good order. We were very happy with Lauren's services, and will be using her again in the future.

Tim is a dream sitter. He was very responsive with all correspondence and communicated very clearly. Tim took the time to visit us before the sit and asked lots of considered questions about Harry and his care. He is super organised, professional and very genuine. It was evident that Tim has a lot of cat care experience which made me feel completely relaxed leaving Harry and my home in his capable hands. Harry is usually anxious with men but didn’t run away from Tim. He has a calm and considered approach that Harry clearly appreciated. My home was left with no trace Tim had been there. Thanks Tim for taking such good care of Harry and my home, you are welcome back anytime.

Katie is wonderful . We met Katie and knew right away she was someone we could trust. It was a pleasure to have her stay and look after our dog and cats . Katie took on board all the various needs of our pets and made sure they were all looked after . The dog even got a little Xmas gift which she loves. We could not have asked for more. The house was clean and tidy when we got back, Katie kept in good contact with us and the pets weren’t that happy that she had left. I can’t recommend her enough if you want a very caring and trustworthy person to look after your home and pets

Frequently asked questions about Rover

The average cost for House Sitting in Worthing on Rover is £41.4 per night (as of August 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.

Rover makes budgeting the cost of House Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for House Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .

As of August 2026, there are 2,102 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Worthing. Enter your postcode to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:

  • Post & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
  • Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
  • Rubbish & recycling: Taking bins out on scheduled rubbish collection days.
  • Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.

The best time to agree on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a 'home cheat sheet' that includes your preferred Worthing walking routes, the location of your favourite pet shop, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes dedicated customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement programme for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Every sitter on Rover must pass an identity verification before they can list their services. An identity verification confirms that the sitter is who they say they are based on their documents.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page .

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Worthing choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a key safe or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest vet. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.

For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorisation form for your regular vet. An authorisation form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.

Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
