About: I’ve always been around Pets my whole life from having pets in my household and having many family member’s and friends with pets and I just can’t get enough of them. I work on a 4 on 4 off rotation, which gives me plenty of time to enjoy long walks across the downs on my days off. Perfect for tiring out energetic pups! That said, I know not every dog needs or loves a long walk so I’m flexible, my late dog rarely lasted more than 10 minutes, bless her. I care for pets as if they’re my own, always making sure they feel safe, calm, and comfortable in their environment. I follow any routine you provide and prioritize their well-being, whether that’s playtime, rest, or gentle care for nervous pets. Clean, secure spaces and plenty of affection are always guaranteed
“Ella was an excellent dog sitter/walker for Margot. She uploaded pictures frequently and updated me throughout. I would not hesitate to book Ella again, thank you for taking such good care of Margot ☺️”

“Olivia came to watch my two dogs, I was so worried my Dachshund wouldn't cope well but Oliva took her to her favourite place for a pup cup. I was sent photos of her. My elderly dog just chilled out and had some walks and fuss. Thankyou so much ♥️”

“One of my dogs is not the easiest, I was amazed at how at ease so early on he was with Carly. She has a natural ability with dogs. She looked after our animals so well and also respected our home and looked after that too. I was nervous leaving the animals but she made us feel at ease with regular updates and easy nature. Cannot recommend her highly enough.”

About: Growing up I’ve had my own animals cats, dogs, guinea pigs, mice and fish so I’m quite familiar with caring for all different types of animals. I studied at an animal college and volunteered in an animal shelter too. I’ve also had experience with looking after friends and neighbours animals whilst they been away. I love all animals and try my best to give them the love and care they deserve 😊 I have a part time job so am somewhat flexible with days to look after your animals. I am also free in the evenings for late night walks etc. I already have a dog of my own but due to her being a rescue she is quite nervous therefore not the best around other dogs so wouldn’t be able to home board at my house. I would be available to pet sit at the owners homes and walking their pets.
“Isabella has been very professional! We met first for an quick introduction with Kobe, then she has been very careful to all the details regarding medication. She has also been very nice, updating me with pictures and videos of my dog while he was staying over. I definitely recommend her!”

About: What sets me apart is the level of care, attention, and respect I give to every dog as an individual. I don’t take a one-size-fits-all approach — I genuinely take the time to understand each dog’s routine, personality, energy level, and needs so they feel safe, settled, and happy. I’ve always had pet dogs, so caring for them is second nature to me, and I currently have a puppy, which means I’m very familiar with the patience, consistency, and structure puppies need. I’m confident supporting basic puppy training such as lead manners, routines, positive reinforcement, and calm behaviour, as well as providing gentle, attentive care for senior dogs who may need slower walks, extra reassurance, or medication routines. I’m calm, reliable, and genuinely love what I do. I treat every dog as if they were my own — prioritising safety, comfort, enrichment, and affection — so owners can feel completely at ease knowing their dog is in capable, caring hands. Pet care fits naturally into my routine alongside my shift work. Because I work shifts, my days off change each week, which actually allows me to be very flexible and available at different times — including weekdays when many sitters aren’t free. On my days off, pet care is my main focus, and I’m able to give dogs my full attention for walks, day care, or sitting. Even on working days, I carefully manage my schedule to ensure every dog receives the time, attention, exercise, and care they need — never rushed and never overlooked. I plan my availability in advance, communicate clearly with owners, and only take on bookings I can fully commit to, so dogs have a calm, consistent, and reliable experience. Safety, trust, and a calm environment are always my top priorities. Whether I’m caring for pets in my own home or in an owner’s home, I follow their routines closely so pets feel secure, comfortable, and relaxed. In my home, dogs are welcomed into a clean, safe, and relaxed environment with plenty of supervision, affection, and appropriate exercise. I make sure spaces are dog-proofed, remove any hazards, and only accept dogs that I’m confident will be a good fit. I will always and ensure they always have fresh water, regular toilet breaks, and mental stimulation. When caring for pets in an owner’s home, I treat the home with complete respect and maintain the dog’s usual routine as closely as possible — including feeding, walks, medication, and sleeping arrangements. I prioritise safety on walks, use secure leads and harnesses as instructed, and provide regular updates so owners feel reassured while they’re away. I’m calm, attentive, and reliable, and I care for every dog as if they were my own — creating a safe, trusted, and loving experience every time.
“Jane stayed at our house over Christmas to look after our dog Dexter. It couldn’t have gone any better. Jane is obviously experienced with dogs and really cared for Dexter as if he was her own. She looked after both Dexter and our house perfectly. Wouldn’t hesitate to use Jane again.”

“Another great job from Daria. She’s very caring of Buddy, I get regular contact from her when she’s with him which is really reassuring. When she stays over she leaves everything clean & tidy. Thank you Daria”

About: I’m Lucy, I am an experienced house sitter, based in Worthing. I’m 46 and started house sitting in early 2025 via a different service. After many years working in client-facing roles, I took a career break and decided to move into house sitting full-time, as it better reflects my values. I’ve always loved animals, and I find real enjoyment in spending time with them and making sure they feel safe and well cared for. I love animals and lost my beloved Jack Russell, Lola, in 2024. She had become quite ill and I cared for her around the clock. I provide calm and reliable care for dogs, cats, and small pets in their own home, showering them with lots of TLC and cuddles (only if they want it though!), keeping to any routines, to give you and your pets a stress-free experience, whilst you are away. Whilst I am new to Rover, I have previously done housesits via TrustedHousesitters, caring for dogs, cats, and other small animals. Please reach out so I can share a link or screen shots of my 5 star reviews. I am also DBS checked and insured. I will provide regular photos and updates. Lots of cuddles (if they like it) and attention & walks as per their usual routine. I would like to have the option to leave for a few hours during the day for errands, so ideally suited to pet who are comfortable with being left for short periods of time (but I do have experience with very anxious animals, who could not be left at all, so it is an option but would incur a higher day rate) My approach is loving, calm, attentive, and routine-based, ensuring each pet is cared for according to their usual schedule, whether that’s walks, feeding, play, or just spending time together. I offer a free initial meet & greet before confirmed bookings to ensure I am a good fit for both you and your pet.

About: Hello, I’m a big lover of dogs and their individual personalities. We had a family Labrador called Baileys who loved beach walks. I’ve co-parented a Pug called Darcie, who became disabled (her back legs buckled) and I took her for walks in a doggy rucksack, which she loved! Also, before they moved to Scotland, I was an auntie to my friend’s French Bulldog called Travis, who’s a rescue. I currently look after a French Bulldog called Tina - we met and bonded through ‘Borrow My Doggy’. Therefore, I have experience with a range of dogs, including dogs with disabilities as well as nervous, reactive dogs. Being a lover of the outdoors and nature, I enjoy taking dogs out for walks and on little adventures. I believe in giving all dogs the best quality of life and would love the opportunity to be a part of their doggy journey. I would like a dog of my own; however, due to socialising and travelling often my lifestyle won’t allow it. I work in student engagement at a local university and work from home a lot, so am open to a dog keeping me company at my ground floor flat where I live alone and have a front garden. I also have spare time some evenings and weekends, and am open to looking after dogs in owners’ homes overnight and for holidays. I’m happy to answer any questions you have, and look forward to hearing from you and your fur baby. I work from home 4 days a week (days vary), and can take your fur baby to the toilet when needed during this time, and for a walk at lunch and/or after work. At weekends I like to get out in nature and would be happy to take them with me to enjoy the outdoors. I have an unfenced front garden (where I would keep your fluffy one on a lead if required, or would supervise them if they can be off-lead). I live in 2 bedroom flat where I live alone, so lots of space for your fluffy one to be free with me.

About: I’ve been around animals my whole life, and dogs have always been a big part of our family. We have our cheeky little Tilly, who’s been with us for six wonderful years I have experience with both big and small dogs (though we all know the little ones run the show!). I understand how much our fur-babies mean to us and how important it is that they feel safe, loved, and cared for. Pet owners share their Rover experiences - Worthing
Clem is awesome! She looked after Juno for a few days, basing herself at our house. We got great updates and pictures of a very happy Juno. Juno was excited when we got home but I could tell she was missing her new bestie. Thanks Clem, Juno is already excited for your next visit!

Olivia has been a star with our reactive rescue dog! From the moment of meeting her we felt super comfortable of leaving our dog in her care. We recieved updates and fotos throughout. She also ensured we were informed/ questioned about decisions there were to make during a major heatwave. Our dog was happy to see us on arrival, but kept checking all day and night to see where her new friend had gone to. Pleased to say that we already booked her again!

Georgina was brilliant she, popped round before for a meet and greet with our dog. While we were away she sent lots of photos and information during the sit. The house was immaculate when we returned. She also was very professional and responsive to our messages.

We booked Lauren for an overnight sit to look after our puppy, Koki. Lauren was very professional throughout the process, and came to meet us and Koki twice before the sit. Koki responded very well to Lauren, and we were very comfortable leaving Koki under Lauren's care. Lauren arrived well in time for the sit, and was very well prepared. Koki was very happy and relaxed in her company. Lauren kept us very well informed about how Koki was doing, and we had no concerns at all during the sit. On our return, Koki was very good spirits and clearly enjoyed the sit, and Lauren left the house in very good order. We were very happy with Lauren's services, and will be using her again in the future.

Elsie was amazing! My dog Bo just had the best time with her. She was professional all the way along with excellent communication and wonderful photos of my dog having the best time on her walks at the beach and cuddled up! I felt totally secure that my dog was getting the five star treatment she deserved whilst I was away. Thank you so much Elsie. Amazing and I will certainly use you again. Helen and Boxx

Dell is a fab dog/house sitter. Pumpkin is a fairly nervous dog and extra nervous at the moment given we have not long moved house. Dell spent time earning Pumpkins trust and was super patient with her going at Pumpkins pace which I really appreciated. She also gave me regular and honest updates which really helped. Thanks Dell! I wouldn’t hesitate to book her again.

Tim is a dream sitter. He was very responsive with all correspondence and communicated very clearly. Tim took the time to visit us before the sit and asked lots of considered questions about Harry and his care. He is super organised, professional and very genuine. It was evident that Tim has a lot of cat care experience which made me feel completely relaxed leaving Harry and my home in his capable hands. Harry is usually anxious with men but didn’t run away from Tim. He has a calm and considered approach that Harry clearly appreciated. My home was left with no trace Tim had been there. Thanks Tim for taking such good care of Harry and my home, you are welcome back anytime.

Bertie had a lovely day with Claire! Claire arrived on time, kept me informed by text during the day as it was his first sitting. He had a nice walk and was very relaxed and happy all day. He took to Claire immediately; she is experienced with the breed and confident and assured with dogs. She is a helpful lovely person too and Bertie and I would love her to come again!

Katie is wonderful . We met Katie and knew right away she was someone we could trust. It was a pleasure to have her stay and look after our dog and cats . Katie took on board all the various needs of our pets and made sure they were all looked after . The dog even got a little Xmas gift which she loves. We could not have asked for more. The house was clean and tidy when we got back, Katie kept in good contact with us and the pets weren’t that happy that she had left. I can’t recommend her enough if you want a very caring and trustworthy person to look after your home and pets

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Post & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Rubbish & recycling: Taking bins out on scheduled rubbish collection days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best time to agree on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a 'home cheat sheet' that includes your preferred Worthing walking routes, the location of your favourite pet shop, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes dedicated customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement programme for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover must pass an identity verification before they can list their services. An identity verification confirms that the sitter is who they say they are based on their documents.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page .
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Worthing choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a key safe or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest vet. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorisation form for your regular vet. An authorisation form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
